History
Xenem was born on Falleen, his mother and father were not a wealthy, and served loyally in their species’ army as soldiers, they died when the Yuuzhan Vong invaded their planet around 26ABY.
During his youth he wandered from planet to planet usually offering his services in whatever role he could. When he could not find work he resorted to thievery, his pride fell before his need to survive. This eventually ended badly for him when he attempted to pickpocket a Black Sun commander. He was caught in the act and given an ultimatum: join the Black Sun and serve or loose his hands for thievery. He chose the foremost.
Whilst with the Black Sun he showed his aptitude in scouting and sniping. At some point he proved his abilities and what seemed his loyalty; eventually he willingly went and replaced his eyes with cybernetic ones to improve his work. This allowed him to see much further than before but if they malfunction he is blind and dependant on whomever is with him to guide him. This has not happened yet but there is always the possibility.
He remained with the Black Sun until the base he was in was raided by the Brotherhood. After the whole of the team he was in was slaughtered he eventually surrendered, unwilling to die for the mercenary group he was enslaved to and pledged allegiance willingly to the Brotherhood. He was surprised that they treated him much better than his former Masters.
Appearance
Like many of his species Xenem has small light green scales which change colour depending on his mood; though no one has yet determined which colour means what as he is like many of his kind stoic and hides his emotions around others. Along his back he has prominent spinal ridges this spans from the base of his neck all the way down to the small of his back.
When he joined the Brotherhood he was given light weight black armour; but because of his spinal ridges the armour had to be custom made because each Falleen’s ridges are of unique size, which was an investment that he has had to pay back over time.
His hands and feet have clawed nails which are black, he often trims them down but they are sharp enough to do damage against skin and allow him to handle blasters and blades with ease. He has on occasion used them as weapons when desperate and disarmed. His hair is also black and tied back into a topknot to keep his eyes clear and to prevent it from being grabbed in close quarters combat.
His cybernetic eyes were upgraded when he joined the brotherhood, making them less likely to malfunction than before and far more acute, meaning he misses very little when it comes to physical interactions. If it were not for his eyes he would most likely be indiscernible to other species, his features like all of his kind perfectly symmetrical.
Personality
Externally and in public he is not a very emotional man, often preferring to keep his thoughts and feelings to himself. It is not often that he speaks freely but when he does it is usually to offer advice rather than an opinion or to object to something. Once an order is given he follows no matter the cost, and does so in a cold and methodical manner.
Xenem is not particularly sociable, spending his down time alone. He has not seemed to have made friends but respects the chain of command almost to a fault, having become extremely loyal to his new leaders. He does not seem to have picked up the snobbery his species is famed for as he does not care that he is not in Falleen space or that he will in all likelihood never see it again.
No one really knows his true personality since he goes to extreme lengths to hide it. He never gives his opinion on anything unless ordered to and even then it is quite emotionless. Some are put off by his cold demeanor but he does his job well.
