Cunning and callous, the Specter known as The Soul Harvester, is a Lasat Bounty Hunter that serves his inner darkness and greed; unquestionably loyal to self-preservation and willing to do anything to amass wealth and renown. He makes his home on the Godless Matron when not aboard his Oubliette Prison Ship, fittingly referred to as Apparition. Along with his faithful companion, a Raven called Styx, he is the proprietor of the Grave Mistake Cantina, conveniently placed in Murder Alley to provide sustenance and entertainment to those with darker intents and purposes. Contracted by the Inquisitors after his resurrection, he hunts down Jedi, fueled with veracity and energized by the fires of revenge.
Chronicles Of The Soul Harvester
First Life
Venomous
Born on Lira San, Brodi Gunstar was a runt of the litter when compared to his brothers. In comparison, he was scrawny and frail, yet to Human eyes, he was still an imposing figure.
However, to compensate for his lack of mass and muscle, with Brodi, the Force had other plans. Mentally sharp and cunning, when competing with his siblings, they always seemed to be outclassed. Able to manipulate them, he didn't need size of his own when he could simply trick them into sabotaging their own goals.
Often they were putty in his hands, strong-willed and confident, yet desperate to please and impulsive. Those impulses would work in Brodi's favor throughout his adolescent life. Jealousy, like a cancer grew within his brothers until one day, their impulses would create ripples that would forever shape their little brother's destiny.
In a fit of rage, Brodi's older brothers would ambush him from the dark, beating him within an inch of his life. But that wasn't enough, they would load his lifeless body onto a shuttle, an ancient relic that some of the elders worshiped as a chariot of the gods, and jettisoned it into the nebula that surrounded and hid their planet from the rest of the galaxy.
Tethered To The Dark
Adrift in the void, brittle and broken, Brodi's brooding and anger was what kept him alive. Alone on the derelict vessel, he honed his mind, practiced patience, and plotted the demise of those who wished him dead. In exile he would have a revelation that ultimately led to him finding himself, his true-self, his calling.
Quiet reflections of a troubled mind was all he had, but then again, it was all he needed. For when he least expected it, a mysterious stranger would find him. That stranger's name was Sylvan Kreeg, a human, a mandalorian, a true warrior. Atleast he used to be. When he found the young Brodi, he was no longer in his prime, but he was unequivocally wise. Upon meeting, Sylvan wondered why a young Lasat was far from home, drifting in the sea of black. There was a reason, one that Brodi was unwilling to indulge, he sheltered his mind and responded to Sylvan's questioning with proper deception. Yet, rather than get frustrated, Kreeg admired Brodi's mental fortitude and would offer him a place aboard his personal ship - The Nightingale. It would be the beginning of a long friendship, an apprenticeship.
Over time he would teach Brodi everything he knew of combat and turning misfortunes into fortune. How to track, how to hunt, how to make contacts and form profitable relationships. He taught him how to adapt and walk within the tenets of the Bounty Hunters Creed. Sylvan would not be disappointed. For being so young, the Lasat was a natural, a prodigy. By the age of eighteen, he was already becoming a renowned hunter. However, this caused Brodi's confidence to swell, along with his ego. Eventually it would be his downfall, for his next Bounty was unlike anything he had ever seen.
