Nfolgai was an arid world tainted by the Dark Side of the Force. The primary planet of the Nfolgai system in the Esstran Sector, Nfolgai was an important site for the Sith in ancient times as they used it to construct a variety of tombs and mausoleums. Due to the nature of the planet, only it's southern hemisphere was exposed to the local star, thus creating less than desirable conditions.

History

Early history

Nfolgai was discovered to be located in the Sith Worlds region. It can only be found in a remote branch of the Nache Bhelfia hyperplane which is called Descri Wris. With its arid climate it was soon turned into a tomb world after discovery. Thousands of different slaves were conscripted, ranging from Humans, Mrlssi, and the Draethos. There purpose was to erect huge Sith Mausoleums and any other tasks they were set to do. The slaves worked in very horrid conditions because of the planets weather. But their masters which happened to be the extremely intelligent Kissi Priests. It seems in the beginning that the Kissi Priests might have been under the control of a Sith. This was true after they paid homage with a Sith Mausoleum for a Sith Lord by the name of Sorzus Syn. The Sorzus Mausoleum. is the most important structure on Nfolgai and is the Wonder of its world.

Soon after the fall of the Sith Empire things began to take a turn for the worse on Nfolgai. When the Sith were defeated and had to go back into hiding again, they abandoned the planet. The residual Dark Side energy on the planet was strong and was burrowed deep within surface. The slaves now abandoned by the Priests were subject to living with such powerful Dark Side energy left within the Mausoleums. So the inhabitants that were left behind hastily took to the jungles and tried to survive there. The slaves changed and became more emotionless and relied more on instinct to survive.

It was only a few years after being abandoned that the last of the Humans died off. Leaving Mrlssi and Draethos the only species left on the planet. The two species were corrupted by the Dark Side soon there after and began to develop a connection to the Force.

Recent History

In around 35 ABY the One Sith had rediscovered Nfolgai. The Sith had sent a prominent Sith Lord to acquire the great Sith power left behind so many years before by the Sith Lady Sorzus Syn. Lord Yobd Nan was the Sith in question who led a large expedition in search of this power. They destroyed many clusters of Mrlssi and Draethos in their path to finding it.

The One Sith now have a base near the Syn Mausoleum and have taken residence back on Nfolgai either temporary or for good. However in the One Sith's clash with the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Zoraan's betrayal was unprecedented, not to mention underhanded in the most extreme circumstance, and it would never be forgiven as the Dark Council gave way for Operation: Just Vengeance. A sequence of assassinations on the prominent members of the One Sith. The Brotherhood now has taken notice of the planet and will soon send forces to capture the planet and kill Yobd Nan.

Geography

Regions and Climate

With over half of the planets surface being dessert, Nfolgai presents a harsh climate and varying degrees of hazardous terrain. The planet owes it's present state due to the deep axial tilt, which results in the northern hemisphere being almost completely barren, and filled with mountain ranges and heavy volcanic activity. The southern hemisphere features swamps and jungles which carve into eroded mountain ranges. Because of the axial tilt, the southern hemisphere sees more floral activity. This flora is very similar to that found on the planet Myrkr, by having a very high metallic content; sensors and scanners typically go haywire when attempting to scan the southern hemisphere. More than one ship has crashed onto the planet as a result of this abnormality; the cruiser ‘’Render’’ is a prime example, having crashed into the polar regions of Nfolgai during the ancient war between Jedi and Sith.

This also lends to the strange ecology of the world, where the northern hemisphere has an expansive polar region beyond its cold deserts and the southern hemisphere is more lush and forested. Life in the northern hemisphere is all but impossible naturally, where there is little sunlight and few flat areas with clean water for to drink. The southern hemisphere is far more hospitable but due to the planet’s nature even it sees little activity.

The mountainous regions in the northern hemisphere have a unique ecology all their own. The activity present due to frequent shifts in the northern tectonic plates cause many earthquakes and frequent volcanic activity. The volcanoes of Nfolgai frequently erupt violently and for extended periods of time, leaving long furrows in the earth as the magma flows down into pre-made channels. So frequently do these volcanoes erupt that a series of channels all across the northern ranges exist, almost all lava erupting from the volcanoes moving through these long networked channels.

Points of Interest

Mausoleum of Sorzus Syn

In the southern hemisphere, surrounded by inhospitable jungle canopy and carved into a mountain side, rests the Sith Mausoleum of Sorzus Syn, Nfolgai's crown jewel. The force emanates from the structure with techniques more then a millennial old, but remains largely a mystery. Being that Nfolgai is regarded as a tomb world, it is speculated that Sorzus Syn's remains could be entombed within.

Render

Discovered in 35 ABY, the Interdictor-class Destroyer lies in the Northern hemisphere of the planet. The exact reason behind the ship going down still remains shrouded in mystery, but to intents and purposes, the ship remains well preserved if permanently crippled. Currently it is inhabited by Mrlssi.

One Sith Base

The One Sith, as part of their Galactic invasion, have taken residence on the planet of Nfolgai in an attempt to glean the secrets from its many Sith tombs. They have taken up residence inside an ancient and abandoned crypt very close to the location of Sorzus Syn’s mausoleum, where numerous Sith acolytes and Mrlssi converts have been brought in to train and prepare for the archaeological digs and experiments that are necessary to fully excavate the planet’s tombs. Entry to the base is difficult as the entrance to the crypt is covered first by a forest canopy to prevent aerial incursion, and then the entrance itself is hidden underneath a hill. Finally, the native guards in the form of the Draethos and Mrlssi are always on standby, converted through manipulations of the Dark Side to maintain watch over the entrance. Yobd Nan and his band of Dathomiri Nightsisters call this place their headquarters, where they plan and strategize their dominion of the planet.

The Sith base consists of two floors in its crypt; the first level houses the living quarters, galleys and meditation chambers for the Sith who live there. The second floor is wholly dedicated to research and repository for the artifacts that have been unearthed, where the highest-ranking Sith present on the world may study the mysteries of the Dark Side that have been uncovered all across the planet. This level is also guarded by Dark Side Alchemy creatures known as Technobeasts, a result of Mechu-Deru Vitae’s horrific manipulations – cyborg zombies made from the corpses of the freshly deceased, usually the corpses of the failed Draethos and Mrlssi.

Old Power and Refinery Station

An ancient experiment on Nfolgai still exists, though dilapidated and long worn out. In ancient times, the Sith intended to use Nfolgai’s erratic volcanic activity much in the same way Mustafar and Sarapin were used by the Galactic Republic; the generation of geothermal power and for a refinery of rare metals. Two interlinked platforms across the volcanoes exist in the middle of the range atop now-dormant volcanoes, two deep drills linked to pipes inserted into calderas that were meant to drill down into the planet’s mantle and extract lava directly. These platforms are now rickety and half-broken, the vast majority of it having disintegrated or broken over many years of disuse and poor tectonic activity. Ultimately the project was doomed to failure and was abandoned by the Sith.
