Character History

The Early Years

Baltrog Quillan is a native Iktochi, born on the planet Iktoch. Born a captive, the son of a slave mother, Baltrog was taken at as a boy worked as a cleaner. He would often find himself scouring war-torn fields picking up after the fallen. As the young Baltrog matured, his masters found another use for the Iktotchi: gladiatorial combat. The life of a gladiator on the wasted and broken world of Iktotchi afforded Baltrog the perfect environment to grow into the monster he’d later be. He was forced, as he grew, to learn how to fight for everything he had, earning his place among the slaves.

As he grew his skills developed, his only motivation was survival: Defeat your opponent, you eat and only then can you live another day. His master’s ruthlessly watched their child slaves kill each other for mere crumbs of bread. Baltrog was no exception and thrived.

Baltrog would find himself repeatedly bought and sold into until he ended up on the massive space station Refuge. The young Iktotchi found himself in the service, if only through force, of a powerful crime lord. Once again his skill for violence and this thirst for blood were tried in the arena of combat. When he wasn’t crushing other slaves for the enjoyment of his masters, Baltrog found himself contracted out -- a mercenary -- where his skills hardened further.

His reputation grew as a fighter, and as a mercenary, so much that he grabbed the attention of unorthodox eyes. Before long, his mercenary brothers followed him to battle without question. Using this devotion to his advantage he led his followers and in a violent, bloody coup escaped his crime lord master.

After escaping the Refuge, Baltrog finally found himself in the employ of someone he trusted -- himself. After a few deals, specifically one especially bad arms deal, went south, the Iktotchi slave turned warlord found himself in front of Dominion leaders. Convincing the Dominion that he was a true asset and not just a liability, he proved his worth by acquiring the Dominion some prestigious and valuable supply chains, stolen from all corners of the galaxy. They included many Brotherhood weapon shipments.

Eventually, The Dominion recognized Baltrog’s worth and zeal. They made him one their mercenary's. In this, Baltrog thrived. Finally, after some time with the Dominion, his introduction to the Brotherhood would come to light…

The Brotherhood

Dispatched on a mission by Grand Master Muz Ashen to Kar Alabrek, Then, Warrior Takagari DarkHawk KogaRyu first traded blows with the “Bull”. DarkHawk had been sent to investigate and, if the opportunity presented itself, disrupt a hijacking. It just happened to be the orchestrator of the hijacking was none other than “the Bull,” Baltrog himself.

Unfortunately,DarkHawk was captured. This became the first face-to-face encounter between Baltrog and a member of the Brotherhood. The Sith escaped his bounds and tracked down Baltrog to a warehouse, which was being used as a front to export stolen supplies.

Unknown to DarkHawk, Baltrog had anticipated everything. Once again the Equite Sith found himself ambushed and captured. Baltrog tortured the Sadowan endlessly. However, the Sith called deeply upon the Force to cling to life through repeated cuts and beatings. DarkHawk’s ruse worked and after his captor thought him dead, DarkHawk managed to slip out of his restraints and quietly slay Batrog’s men one by one. DarkHawk chased the Iktotchi down, only to watch him escape.

Abomination

After some time, Baltrog kept his moves quite hidden. Using other mercenary groups to do his bidding. Though they quickly found their form of payment was either death or to do his bidding for the price of their lives.

Baltrog inadvertently came across the creature Firak. They came to an accord to go after the Brotherhood using the Dominion as their vessel. Firak had engineered a weapon that stripped Force users of their powers. Baltrog had other intentions of this weapon, namely to horde that raw power for himself. After staging a terrorist attack on Anta Kinan, Baltrog set his plan in play with Firak having little knowledge of what was in store for him.

Macron Goura Sadow was the first of their victims. As one of the bombs that deployed to the city, caught the Son of Sadow in its blast. The Adept narrowly survived the ordeal. At the time Macron was training DarkHawk in the ways of Alchemy and saber techniques. DarkHawk set out on a endeavor of revenge for what Baltrog did to Macron.

Finally tracking Baltrog down, DarkHawk engaged the Iktotchi in a bloody battle. This proved to be a bad move on the Battlemaster as he took on the fight with emotion and not cunning. Both combatants fought with no sign of yielding. Baltrog was able to dispatch DarkHawk, leaving him for dead yet again. Baltrog fled the scene licking his own wounds.

Unfortunately for Baltrog, he made a rare mistake and underestimated the Brotherhood and they were able to dismantle the Dominion forces and destroy Firak’s machine. Baltrog swore revenge on the Brotherhood.

The Refuge

Baltrog returned to the Refuge and using what he learned from the Dominion fighting the Brotherhood, the Iktotchi developed contacts among the factions who used the station as operations HQs or as a staging while simultaneously filling the station with allies and associates of his own. It did not take him long to place his men in key locations throughout the varied factions on the station.

The Bull specifically targeted the Black Horizons faction at the Refuge. To say he dealt their organization a death blow is an understatement. Intel reports suggest he used a funeral for a recently departed Black Horizon leader, to launch his assault on the faction. He used contacts in the station medical office to swap the body in the casket for one of his lieutenants Essk Tsubra. During the ceremony,Quillan's men sealed the chamber after launching dioxis canisters into the room. Baltrog revealed himself and mowed down the Black Horizon leadership who had not succumb to the gas. Reports indicate that a heavy repeating blaster was used -- the kind only available to militaries, the well connected, or the well funded. While Baltrog was securing his new position of power, more of his team seized key Black Horizon buildings, clubs, etc. and secured themselves as the new masters of ST3. After gaining complete control over ST3, Baltrog renamed his newly acquired faction to Three Shades of Black (TSoB).

Appearance and Personality

Baltrog is a well built muscular Iktotchi. He has a distinctive red hue to his skin color with facial and body markings markings. He does bare a very nasty scar from a saber strike, he suffered at the hands of DarkHawk on the left side of his face. Standing 6’0 235 lbs, he is very adept at multiple forms of hand to hand combat. He also is equally adept at wielding many forms of melee weapons. He likes to confiscate the weapons of his fallen adversary’s and add them to his collection. His time on the battlefield and his ability to hide in the shadows allowed him to watch and listen to the generals of his capturers and learn their ways. He is almost at a genius level intellect, very cunning, tactical and manipulative. His narcissism bleeds through his entire personality, he trust only himself. Manipulating and destroying others is sheer pleasure for this madman, and he will not stop until he rules the underworld.
