Atalanta Megos was an Jedi Knight and a unaffiliated member of the Brotherhood. She was once a member of the new Jedi Order but left due to her firm belief of the ancient Jedi Code.
Character History
Early Life (3 BBY to 11 ABY)
Atalanta Megos and his twin brother, Ashura, were born to Alexandros and Cassiopeia. The twins were Force-sensitive, but their parents were not; fearing the Empire might want the twins for their potential, they kept moving around. The Megos family never stayed in one place for too long, and it remained like this for years until one fateful day. Their transport vessel malfunctioned and had to make an emergency landing on Tython. It seemed that a Dark Side Adept had caused the failure; he had sensed the twins’ Force signatures and laid a trap. The Megos family escaped into the Tython wilderness. At the same time, the other passengers died; they were tracked down and killed too. Only the twins were kept alive; however, while Atalanta fled, Ashura was left behind and fell into his parents’ murderer's hands. Eventually, she was found a few months later barely alive by a Cassandra Frost, rogue Jedi on the run from the Empire. Atalanta and Cassandra kept to Outer Rim systems to avoid any Imperial entanglements, training in secret, until the eventual collapse of the Empire. Even then Cassandra refused to come out of hiding for fear of rogue Imperials elements.
Jedi Path (11 ABY to 35 ABY)
Atalanta and her master were later found by the new Jedi Order and she official joined the Jedi Praxeum. As a [[starwars:Padawan/Legends|Jedi in Training], going on missions and helping the fledgling New Republic. With the need for Knights for high demand, Atalanta was not given the proper education of old, and had to learn through experience. So a year after arriving and unprepared, the fifteen-year-old Jedi Knight assumed her duties as a Peacekeeper. As part of the new Order, Atalanta faced many trials, from subsequent attacks by Admiral Daala, to the Empire Reborn and Second Imperium. For a time Atalanta enjoyed her life in the new Jedi Order. Still, nothing last forever and then the Yuuzhan Vong War, Atalanta began to change her views on the current Jedi Code. She had found a copy in the archives of the old code used by the Je'daii Order and adopted it. As it was thanks to this antiquated philosophy, she was able to survive the war. However, she found herself at odds with her fellow Jedi, thus becoming something of an outcast. She travelled the Outer territories, helping those in need, and occasionally doing the odd job for any Jedi still talking to her.
New Horizon (35 ABY to Present)
Eventually, her work in the Outer Rim became noticed by light sided members of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. They approached her about joining, reassuring Atalanta that her current views on the Jedi code would be accepted, so she took the offer but remained unaffiliated from any of the clans.
Physical Description
Atalanta Megos has a tanned athletic body as a result of her working out, her long white hair was tied back in a reverse braid to keep it tidy and out of the way, her black eyes shined with warmth, compassion and determination.
