Xar'Kahn is a member of House Galeres, formerly of House Oriens Obscurum. He is the only person to have served in Bas-Tyra from its inception to its closure. Xar was momentarily in House Qel-Droma when it was reopened after Oriens was closed as part of 'Project: Ressurection'.

Alexander Jaxx was born in 16 BBY to Tyrk Jaxx and Lianna Wilett on Corellia. Raised as a proper Imperialist, Alexander's life was planned out entirely before he was even born. Should there be a "rebellion" against the new Galactic Empire, it would be his job to infiltrate this threat if it could not be quashed early. His entire childhood was brought up around a strict Imperial regime of academia and physical training. By the time he graduated he was top of his class at both hand-to-hand and marksmanship, however his classwork was not the best, which meant he would not be trained as an officer for the Empire. He had a great eye and was an exceptional sniper. Another lethal skill was his finesse with the short blade and dagger. It was soon after graduation from the Imperial Academy on Corellia that he "defected" to the up and coming rebellion, two years after the destruction of the first Death Star.

Before he is old enough to walk Xar's parents, wealthy business types, have a large dinner party at the family mansion. The building collapses and all are killed, save for the child. It took two hours for Xar to be saved. Rescue crews work for days pulling the dead from the rubble. When Xar was pulled out, he had lost the use of his right eye. Thanks to the kindness of a wealthy Imperial family, he was taken in. His life was set out before him. As he was not their child they sent him to the Imperial Academy as soon as they could.


During his schooling he never excelled in any of the written theory, however his practical assessments always topped the class. Creating a fondness for blaster rifles and pistols, Xar took on extra-curricular studies about the subjects and excelled. As part of his education he grasped a working knowledge of most weaponry used by humans and an ability to pilot most Imperial land-based transports. He also found a fascination for daggers later on in his studies, grasping the techniques quickly. Before graduating, his adopted family sent him for a surgery to receive a new cybernetic right eye. He was not accepted into the Officer Academy, instead enlisted straight into the action as a sniper. His cybernetic right eye an obvious advantage for the placement.

For two years Alex served as a sniper for the Republic taking out anyone and everyone he was asked, eventually becoming an invaluable asset to the Republic. He was responsible for the deaths of many an Imperial noble and many more officers. During major conflicts it was his job to pick out the most lethal threats and destroy them. He did so extremely effectively and with his knowledge of Imperial tactics this one man could wreak havoc on a battlefield just by being in a three kilometer vicinity.

For an unknown reason, Alexander Jaxx was kept alive through the aide of the Bacta tank (some rumors abound that it was a direct order from the Emperor himself, though no-one knew for certain). When he awoke, the now ageless human felt different. When he looked at himself for the first time he noticed something was different. For months he could not figure what was wrong, just something. He was met by one of the Emperor's aides, in secret, and told of the past ten years.  
Xar'Kahn is a dim-witted, loner, soldier. With Xar, you must be very careful as to how you address him, for he cannot perceive things like sarcasm very well. He only trusts a few people and they know who they are. Xar is mostly insecure about himself when around people he doesn't know, in particular females. But, give him a weapon and he will learn it to proficiency in almost no time at all. He doesn't talk much unless he has something useful to say (this may only be useful in his mind). Is known for his overly-simplistic ideas and is never one to try to make something more complicated. Try not to use complicated or technical language around Xar. He will most likely tune out. He is almost child-like and a lot of his humour is thus. He loves practical jokes.


 
Xar has grasped a very basic knowledge of Mando'a from listening to his fellow Arconan brethren and members of the Erinos family. As it is a language of fighters, Xar strives to learn all he can about them. The fact that these "Mandalorians" do nothing but train for combat all day fascinates Xar. He has a great respect for the Brothers.

Alexander Jaxx left imperial service soon after his recovery, trying to find any trace of his past life. In need of work and lodging, he stumbled across a group of bounty hunters in the Lyarna System. They called themselves the [http://www.thebhg.org/ Bounty Hunter's Guild]. Jaxx decided joining them would be better for his momentary safety than living under their watchful eye, and so joined under the alias Xar'Kahn.
