Yorktown High School
My four years at Yorktown High were as much an experience for the faculty as it was for me - beloved by some, hated by others. A thorn in the Board of Ed's side while serving as President of the Student Council, I pushed for an open-campus policy to allow Seniors the privledge of leaving school during the day if they had a car - I lost. Highlights included starting the first Teenage Republicans Club, debating the entire Amnesty International Club by myself, and working at B. Dalton booksellers. Mascot was a Cornhusker, school colors were geeen and yellow.
George Washington University
After applying to four DC colleges, I ended up at George Washington University. I started out as a Poli Sci major with a comfortable internship on the hill in my Republican Congresswoman's office Freshman year. I graduated four years later with a Bachelor's in Psychology as a pre-med with a supremely reformed liberal slant on politics (this last point would give at least 2 of my high school teachers a heart attack). Highlights included never joining a frat, sitting drunk on the Lincoln Memorial steps, and falling in love with medicine. Mascot was the Colonial, school colors were buff and blue.
