Explanation

Journeymen ranks already have established requirements as created by the MAA Staff. The information you've provided is already available on the wiki, found in the various pages relating to competitions, ranks, and promotion guidelines. Aside from the superfluous fiction (which is better suited for an email sent post-promotion to the member directly), what is the point of this (and all the other "Career Path" pages) being on the wiki? The DB wiki is not a replacement for emails or unit websites. --Shadow Taldrya 16:48, 22 March 2013 (MDT)

That is a question better suited for Xantros, Shadow, as I am simply doing what I was asked. --Varkain 'Corin' Athanas 20:10, 22 March 2013 (MDT)

We do not set up additional requirements for the Journeymen, we simply want to make utilize another way to inform our members about some basic things. Yes, it means doubling some guidelines, which already exist, but want to make sure that HSP members may reach the information easily. Also, we are trying various platforms to save the documents prepared for the use of our House, in order to find the best platform for this task. We believe that at least general overview and Equite Paths may be located on the Wikipedia, for the sake of keeping House identity documents in one place. - Xantros

First of all, please don't delete Shadow's discussion comment or Corin's response. They're sort of useful to have as a means of clarification. Second of all, if you wish for HSP members to reach information easily, may I recommend utilizing Google Drive or e-mail? Bringing the wiki site into the mix can actually complicate access to information, adding another external outlet to Journeymen's long lists of things to check out. Putting up the guidelines on the wiki, in my humble opinion, also makes the wiki appear a little sloppier, since the wiki editors do seek out simplicity and uniformity in requirement and guideline articles. I would highly encourage you to move these articles off the wiki and set up a Google Document or e-mail, to send out or share to any potential newcomer, without the need for them to scramble to an extra website. That, and a Google Document will allow them to always have the guidelines on them whenever they check their e-mail. --Ronovi Tavisaen, 10:30, 31 March 2013 (MST)
