You can swap out the logo all day long but your words of maintaining identity aren't worth a hill of beans when you keep swapping this wiki page's logo back to one that doesn't match the logo on he front wiki page. If identity is so concerning to you - which evidently it is because you've changed the logo again - then until the new logo is approved/disapproved, I'd suggest spending some of your wiki-changing-time and either make this page's logo match the front page or vice versa. :) I would do it for you but I haven't the access. --Orv Dessrx May 9, 2007

Unfortunately, we're not all omnipotent. Krav probably didn't recall the fact that the Herald had to be consulted on that sort of thing. I didn't notice the competition, likely because I was removed from the Arcona mailing list for some reason or other, lest I would have said something on april 17th when it was in the PCON report (i just looked it up on the site). And your argument is full of holes. I can ask the neighbor all day if it's okay to drive on the sidewalk, but if I get arrested for doing it, I haven't got a case to stand on. It's still not okay to drive on the sidewalk.

Furthermore, as I explained to Strat, I don't have a problem with it being changed, but it is the frequency with which it has been being changed. If this is to be your new logo, you'd better be happy with it, because you're going to be keeping it for a very long time. -- May 9, 2007

When a clan's logo is decided via competition and is adopted, members of the DC should not say "You can't have a new logo...it is bad for identity marking," if the competition for a new logo was approved in the first place. It was. The logo was submitted. The logo was decided on and is now in use. It is the Arcona logo. As such, all other Arcona logos in the wiki should change to reflect this re-branding. --Orv Dessrx May 8, 2007

One of the duties of the Herald does concern Clan logos: "Responsible for safeguarding against unnecessary revision of existing logos and symbols, as they are crucial to consistent identity marking". The summit is to confer with him concerning these changes.--Halcyon 09:44, 9 May 2007 (MDT)

I am glad to see that duty being put into play. My apologies. When a competition of this type is run in the future, one would hope that the competition would be denied rather than accepted by the MAA with an explanation stating that "The approval of the Herald is required." I look forward to this resolution soon.  :) If the 'new' logo is not approved, the logo on this wiki page and the main wiki page should at least reflect the current Arcona logo, whatever that happens to be. There are now at least 3 floating around. --Orv Dessrx May 9, 2007
