Without wanting to complicate matters it was actually a feud between 4 clans not 3. As it ran alongside the Selen incident, which according to the wiki for that was between Talydran and Arcona that leaves CNS, TAR, CP and CSP competing in this one. Seem to recall fictionally we were all having seperate fleet battle simulations or something in the Aranna system and there was a bit of conflict between the fleets.
Not sure what the exact placing was but CNS came first winning a Nebulon B2 Frigate (Which we named the Fire of Sepros).

The plot behind the comp was indeed a training exercise during which an unnamed spy snuck aboard the Tarentum flagship (VSD Corsair) and toggled the power settings of out weaponary causing us to launch a full powered salvo into the CSP flagship.
And that, I think, was the extent of the plot.
