Syntari was born on the Bpfassh to a Bpfasshi father and a Umbaran mother in near poverty. Not much is known about her early life, except that she became very good friends with soon-to-be Brotherhood member Cyril Nighthunter later in their respective careers. At the age of 13 she left her home planet and spent the next five years amassing an unusually large amount of credits through her chosen occupation as a hacker and bounty hunter. Those credits she used to acquire the parts with which she modified her starfighter, the ''Scimitar''. Most of her life she spent without any awareness of her Force abilities, though in the words of her former best friend Cyril Nighthunter, "the girl has a gift. The Force isn't just present in her, it very nearly screams."
Syntari keeps her past relatively hidden, mostly out of the opinion that it isn't all that important, though at times her moods of violent rage and unnerving silence hint at harsh incidents in her youth. All those be warned, however, who would cause harm to those she considers friends and allies.

=== Brotherhood History ===
Syntari has always been known to be ingeniously sly, a half-breed of quick wit capable of acts of stoic horror and, at times, crafty manipulation. A native of the Bpfassh system, she was born to a Bpfassh father and, oddly enough, an Umbaran mother rather high up in the social structure. From birth it was said she was an odd child; though frighteningly quiet, she was never soft in her silence and early on acted heavily superior to all others, including her parents. Her father was linked, through his own lineage, to the cult of Dark Bpfassh that attempted to take over the system, and it was through him that she gained her connection to the Force. He left both her and her mother behind when she was barely a few months old, and thus was temporarily saved from Syntari's awakening to the art of murder. At ten standard years of age she killed her mother and several other families that lived nearby, taking any objects of worth and stealing a respectable sum in credits before leaving the system. From there she acquired her own ship, the Scimitar, and at thirteen standard years of age she met up with soon-to-be Brotherhood member, Cyril Nighthunter. The two established themselves as both hackers and bounty hunters, and though those careers did not last very long they each managed to amass more credits, with Syntari keeping most of hers in separate accounts. When she was fifteen and Cyril sixteen standard years of age, the latter became a member of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and the two went their separate ways. Just before Syntari ended up joining the Brotherhood, she went back to her native system in search of any records of her father, and in the process learned that he had fathered another child just a year before her own conception. It was on the path to hunt him down that she discovered that Cyril Nighthunter was her half-sister, and her father subsequently killed. After that, it was only a matter of time before she and her former best friend met up once more, and this time it ended with the Sadowan's death. The Zeltron died on Nar Shaddaa, and from there Syntari became a Brotherhood member--since then, she has not told anyone about what happened between her and Cyril.
Not much is known about why she came to the Brotherhood or how she even came to know of it; for most of her life, Syntari claimed to not have knowledge of her Force capabilities. It is noted that Cyril Nighthunter maintained some contact with the Bpfasshi after her arrival in the Brotherhood, and perhaps that is where her knowledge comes from. Shortly before the Herald's mission in Socorro, he was approached by the newly-arrived Syntari and given an unusual "gift": the lightsabre of his former apprentice, Cyril Nighthunter, along with the news of her supposed death. Shortly after that Syntari was made a member of the Brotherhood and placed in Independent House Taldrayn with Shikyo Keibatsu as her Master, under whom she is currently studying and greatly respects.
Syntari keeps her past relatively hidden, except for what is written here, mostly out of the opinion that it isn't all that important, though her mood swings do hint at harsh incidents in her youth. All those be warned, however, who would cause harm to those she considers friends and allies.

Her katana is a modified replica of the swords used millennia before the Battle of Yavin, with a blade made of beskar instead of durasteel. Despite having an armory sabre with which she is proficient, her katana is her main weapon of choice and, in her eyes, the more reliable of the two. If ever she has the choice she will fight with it and nothing else, as she views blasters as "poorly designed and impersonal machines", and even lightsabres aren't full extensions of the self.

She takes great pride in her sword and is often to be found polishing it or sharpening it in the solitude of her room.

Now You Know Her...

So you know her, right? You've seen her around, this Umbaran and Bpfasshi mutt with the bright green eyes and the grin that at first glance seems biting? You know her haunts, the places she hangs out on a general basis, her habits, the works? If you said yes to any of those things, think again and keep reading. Yes, she does hang out wherever holocrons and stores of knowledge can be found, and yes, she does actively seek out the newest political intrigues--but why? Always one for gaining new information, she does make it a point to be seen at least once searching through the archives, and the more often the better. To sate her political thirst, she also makes it a point to be seen near her Master, Shikyo Keibatsu, who as a member of the Dark Council is privy to the sort of news she is always looking for. A hacker of exceptional skill and a Krath who is well-versed in the art of battle, she devotes a lot of her time to learning every subject known and unknown to the galaxy, including old and unused, often called 'arcane', styles of fighting. That is all seen on the outside, however. At a glimpse she is lithe and graceful, moving not only with a warrior's poise but with the bearing of one who knows what no one else does--and the smile that crosses her face often times hints at her possession of some great secret of the world. In public she is confident, intelligent and quick witted, and a bit more willing to speak with others than perhaps she should be, moving through a crowd as though she belongs there and yet is a part of it. Though it would be an obvious mistake to reveal what is turmoiling through her mind in secret, it is enough to say that her public face is not a full representation of who, or even what, she really is. Loyal to a fault, yes, and maybe even overly cautious, she is headstrong and protective of those in her inner circle of friends and confidants. Unwilling to put up with any suggestion of backstabbing behavior or unnecessary stupidity, she openly speaks her mind in most situations and tries to surround herself with those she views as intelligent and capable of acting with common sense. For those she judges worthy, she will risk her life--but not if it results or is caused by any stupid situations. She tends to flare up in anger if provoked and it truly sparks when she fails or believes herself to have failed. Of a secretive nature, Syntari is sometimes prone to violent rages or long periods of absolute silence, the reasons for which are unknown, and so far no one has managed to break her out of the latter mood with much success; it depends on her own whim, it seems, to return to normal. Usually she is serious and keeps her own council, though it seems she has taken her Master into her trust and will speak the most openly when in his company; typically, she keeps her true thoughts to herself and speaks her mind only to understand the opinions of others.

Now You Don't...

You've seen her in those contemplative moods, right? The ones where she looks at you with those vivid eyes full of some intense, hidden emotions and says nothing, sometimes for hours or even weeks? Or in those moments when she is deep in the explosive currents of rage and seems able to destroy anything in arms reach? When she becomes the predator and is not, for once, the prey of the universe? No one knows why these occur, why she is susceptible to them, or what can break her out of them. When she finally comes back to herself it seems to be completely random, and most often times it is when she is alone and by herself that she snaps out of it. Her episodes are rare and, generally, events that she tries to keep to herself and not make public--though it is written here, details are not explained. For that reason she is more secretive than she has to be.

When In Battle...

When on the field of battle, however, she is entirely different. Even to those she sees as enemies she is not as hostile as others, preferring instead to goad her opponents with taunts or jibes to various ends. To her close friends she will still not hesitate to cause damage or to even kill, if circumstances allow it, as she would expect and even demand the same from them. In the case of confidants, and especially to those she respects very highly, she is very polite and refrains from making fun of them or otherwise humiliating them, though again she will not hesitate to maim or kill her opponents no matter who they are. She shows little to no mercy, though she is not reckless in the way she fights; she is cool, calm, and collected, and rarely ever rushes headlong into battle.
