Character History

"Eyesight is simply another hinderance to the body's other senses."
―Sylin Kenshin

Change of Heart

It was 13 years after the Battle of Yavin when Suyo Kenshin was born on Alpheridies. Being widely expected and planned for, Suyo's scholar of a mother set in motion a path for her daughter to follow her footsteps to be a great scholar and teacher. This did not stick, however, for when Suyo grew in age, she became more interested in her father's choice of path; a militant warrior. Disappointed, but still backing her daughter's choice, Suyi spoke with her husband on their daughter's choice. Suyo's father, close to denying his daughter the chance to learn combat, took his daughter to where he learned all of his abilities of self defense and quickly started her down the line to become a militant warrior like himself.

Militant Daughter

Suyo's father, Sylin, taught her only the basics of self defense and of the blade, telling her that she must learn the rest on her own and only through direct practice in combat. At the age of 14, Suyo was still disgruntled at her father's words, so she secretly followed him into battle as a weapons facility was to be captured. As the event took place, a detonation deep within the facility caused the entire complex to explode, sending acids and chemicals all through the area. These acids, searing with heat, fell into young Suyo's eyes, causing the normal pale white to be altered into an orange sunburst design. Suyo quickly retreated back to her home, where her mother was awaiting an explanation of her disappearance. Young Kenshin fell before her mother and admitted to her secretly following her father.

A Family Friend

A year after the weapons facility incident, a close friend to the family decided to pay a visit, having not seen any of them in some time. Ethran Sayre Isradia had watched over the Kenshin's to repay a favor given to him by Sylin years prior. When laying eyes upon Suyo, Ethran quickly understood her ability with the Force, not just able to use it in order to 'see,' but the potential lain deep within her, yearning to be free. After discussing the possibility of having Suyo taught to use this potential, her parents reluctantly agreed that she could travel with Ethran to a place called the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. The time it took to arrive wasn't as long as Suyo had thought, but once they did arrive, she was extatic to know she would learn how to use the abilities that lay dormant within her.

Dark Jedi Brotherhood

Ethran had Suyo enrolled within the Shadow Academy then quickly vanished, seemingly from existance. The introductory courses within the Academy seemed to insult Suyo as she felt they were far too easy and began to doubt the 'good' that would come from training in such a place. After being placed within House Ludo Kressh of Clan Naga Sadow, however, things began to look up. Suyo quickly met the Brotherhood's Herald, Shikyo Keibatsu, and was offered to learn the was of the Dark Side as his Student. She quickly agreed and has since been studying and displaying her abilities as they unlock themselves from deep within.
