Rathus was born on a large ship, nearly a space station in all rights, and spent most of his early life cooped up inside the metal walls of space-faring vessels, rarely touching planet. Rather, it was the boy's father that often was the one departing to the planets below, leaving the young Rathus alone with his tutors and work. Save for certain exceptions such as these, Rathus' early life was very much normal, though marked with far more intense education than the average boy. Overall, he had no true complaints - other than the grumble over constant work with educators, the young boy had it extremely well. His family enjoyed a vast amount of wealth, and in all regards Rathus was spoiled, eating the most expertly prepared - both in terms of taste and nutrition - meals, and indulging in the best, and most, education money can provide for a youngster. Unlike many, Rathus was grace to have been born both into the lap of luxury and next in line for a 'throne', though it took until his later years to fully realize both the benefits, the hazards, and the gravity of the situation he was born into... and to embrace it.
The major exception to the relatively normal, if exceedingly more well-off than the norm, life of Rathus was that he was born the son of a syndicate leader, son of a man who dabbled in almost all forms of business, legal of not, though often the illegal outweighed the legitimate - for after all, there is far more money and influence to be gained through underhanded means. However, this man, his father, was one constantly aware of his own mortal nature, of the weakness and vulnerability of flesh, of the inevitability of death. Perhaps it is this knowledge, this constant overbearing truth, that drove the man to produce an offspring - Rathus. From before birth he was destined to take up his father's throne - a form of immortality, in a sense, obtained by ensuring that your place will not be taken by some stranger, rather the product of your own flesh and blood.

But he did not. Rathus embraced these challenges, thrived in them, either somehow trained into him by his tutors, or through his personality - perhaps a mix of both. Character History

((In Progress))

His father's desire to create his own replacement, to craft a thing of perfection, is what lead to Rathus' constant learning and training. Rathus' life was filled with lessons rarely forced upon those his age, his time with his mother and family sparing due to his schedule - it would make sense that the boy would have rebelled against it. But he did not. Rathus embraced these challenges, thrived in them, either somehow trained into him by his tutors, or through his personality - perhaps a mix of both. Despite this, he was granted a wealth of freedom, often picking his own courses and pursuits, though all eventually falling into the plans of his father. This fostered his independence and his mind in situations others would have found stifling. ((More Coming - In Progress))
