It contained two stars, [[Orian Major]] and [[Orian Minor]], the later being a yellow dwarf star that orbitted the former, a red giant, between the [[Dentavii asteroid belt]] and [[Tarthos]] causing severe climate distortions throughout the system.

| The system was once home to the [[Sith Lord]] [[Urias Orian]] but was abandoned following the [[Great Hyperspace War]]. During the years following the [[Galactic Empire]] the [[Dlarit Corporation]] became the public authority but it was secretly controlled by [[Clan Naga Sadow]]. The system was policed by the [[Orian Security Force]] as a branch of the Dlarit Corporation, it consisted of the [[Orian Army]] and the [[Orian Navy]]. The Orian Army handled most of the day-to-day policing inside the colonies.
