It contains two stars, [[Orian Major]] and [[Orian Minor]], the later being a yellow dwarf star that orbits the former, a red giant, between the [[Dentavii asteroid belt]] and [[Tarthos]] causing severe climate distortions throughout the system. Despite the harmonious union between the twins the passage of day and night on many of the planets inside Orian is still considered deeply irritable and erratic by most sentient life forms.

Orian mimics the ancient empire in almost every respect; from culture to architecture. It remained a secret from the [[Dark Lord of the Sith|Dark Lord]]s and was ruled by Urias Orian. It is rumoured the renegade Sith Lord [[Okemi]] used Orian as passage between the ancient empire and his cult, the [[Star Chamber]], on [[Antei]].
