| Kalon was born in 11 ABY on a Venator-class Star Destroyer known as the "Deaths Courier", his mother and father were both officers aboard the destroyer, which was occupied by Imperial Defectors.

| Kalon spent his whole childhood aboard the Deaths Courier, he was a quiet boy who would look at the floor whenever he did speak, rather then look anybody in the eye. As he grew into a young man he was given the oppurtunity to work in the bridge as a young officer after showing great tactical knowledge during his education, he graciously accepted and was instantly promoted from Ensign to Second Lieutenant. As time went on he became an experienced tactician, helpig to bring many victories to the Deaths Courier. His winning streak wouldn't last though.

| In 25 ABY, the Deaths Courier was travelling through the Breshig System in the Mandalore Sector. All was going fine at first until it was ambushed by a considerably large Mandalorian attack force, the Defectors didn't have much time to respond before the destroyer was majorly damaged. Kalon was in the bridge, overseeing the battle but had to fall back to an escape pod. On the way he was caught in an explosion which knocked him out and he was dragged to the pod by a fellow crewman.
