Early Life
Shards of a mind
Whatever life Kaliidrad had in the past, it is now lost to him. His memory, beyond three years into the past, consists of traumatic moments of pain, fear, and anger. Usually, these memories manifest in his dreams, which has led him to seek ways to avoid sleep. Also, these memories result in people from his past claiming to know him. However, these are usually unsavory people, but in any case, they bring disorienting flashbacks and uncontrollable action driven by past emotion. For example, if an old enemy claims to know him, Kal will burst out into uncontrollable but efficient violence resulting in said enemy's death. Also, if a woman claims to be a past lover, the flashback will usually be followed by an outburst of sexual passion, which will leave Kal waking up inexplicably in bed with a woman he doesn't know or remember. While this is seen as a weakness by some, it also makes Kal unpredictable and deadly.

Kaliidrad Vorrac was born Darius Narrim on the planet Coruscant. He began life as the son of Jolan Narrim and Ella Narrim, a middle-class couple that had no great importance. However, his life would not remain pleasant. On his third birthday, their home was broken into by stormtroopers and his father was arrested for "speech of rebellion," meaning he decided to confide in the wrong friend that he didn't like the Empire while at the cantina.
Early life and childhood
His mother, however, was allowed to keep custody of Darius. The next four years would be quiet and monotonous, with Ella having to take multiple jobs to support them. In this vacancy of parenthood, Darius found a local gang, the Skull Splitters. He was given specific clothing to wear during his time with the gang and soon made many changes. His family had been splashed about on news holograms for some time, so Darius was given a new name, Kal Vorrac, by the gang members. On his seventh birthday, Darius witnessed his mother executed for sheltering a Jedi who'd broken in and hidden at their home.
Kal remembers very little about his childhood, if it could be called that, but after seeking out someone whos name he remembered, he has pieced together parts of it. It is probably heavily inaccurate, but it is all he has. He was supposedly raised by an old Ithorian called Haido Kush. Haido lived in poverty for all of his life, largely due to the Empire's anti-alien mindset, but was a survivor. He lived in the lower areas of Coruscant, an area rife with injustice and crime. When he was in his mid-twenties, Haido was confronted by a woman who gave him a small child, telling Haido to raise the child well and asking him to keep him hidden. She told him the child's name was Kaliidrad Vorrac, and that he could never know of where he had come from. Haido took the child, heeding the woman's words. She raised Kaliidrad until the age of ten, teaching him the language of ithorians and, through a droid he had salvaged, teaching him basic as well. He raised Kal to know the teachings of poverty, that no matter what a situation seemed to be, he should never expect peace and harmony in a galaxy of war and anger. He taught Kal, but was never cruel or unjust. However, as life went on for the young one, he soon found that the slums hardened one so young and sensitive. By the age of twelve, his heart was filled with anger and despair, and he longed to escape this place, where the night was brighter than the day due to the amount of technology on Coruscant. Eventually, he got his wish.
Darius Narrim died that day, and adopted the name Kal as his own. Kal worked with the Skull Splitters until twelve years of age, when he forsook the clan for business with Valgo, a local Hutt. He sold deathsticks, illegally modified weapons, and other such contraband, earning great profits. Even so, the marginal amount he recieved was miniscule. He took a greater job, a hit on an Imperial officer, in an attempt to get more money. He was caught, and sentenced to a five-year term in Kessel Prison in exchange for ratting out Valgo, who was soon gutted.

Kessel Inmate
Teen Years
Though it is one of the most muddled parts of his memory, Kal has managed to hunt down parts of his teen years. The memory that led him to Haido Kush was one where he remembered being twelve, hiding on a ship in a public launch bay on Coruscant, stealing many gems in the cargo bay, and feeling a strong need not to be caught by Haido. That, combined with the story of how Kal had disappeared one day when he was twelve, led Kal to believe that he had stowed away when he was twelve on a ship headed for an unknown location. He hid in the cargo bay of a ship, stealing a large amount of some precious jewels from some of the cargo he found. At the destination, he probably left the ship, pawning off the gems for large amounts of credits and buying passage to the moon Nar Shaddaa. Upon arriving, Kal's newfound funds allowed him to seek living space at a local hotel that wasn't picky about it's customers and stay alive until a new source of living could be found. When he arrived on Nar Shaddaa, he immediately found a source of work as a thief of valuable objects, droid parts, and anything else worth credits that he could find. This petty living earned him a cut of the pay and enough to subsist on, but soon, he was found by a much more powerful being.

During his time on Kessel, Kal learned many things. He could already fight, use a knife, and operate a blaster, but he learned how to make a bomb out of food canisters, how to make a knife out of eating utensils, and how to rig a blaster to go off like a thermal detonator. He was soon sent to work in the spice mines, but there he acquired the newest of his weapons. His mining boots had metal strips in them, an attempt to make prisoners visible with magnetic equipment if they rebelled. He removed one of these strips and sharpened it into a knife, which he used to escape the mines, get to the hangar, and steal a ship. In total, he killed two men, injured three more, and destroyed a valuable equipment system that kept the door locked.
The person was a Dark Side user and former Padawan called Vhiim Ku'hzad. She was a female Zabrak who had escaped the purge narrowly by means of the smuggler's moon. Using her old lightsaber, she had found a living when she left the order here, working as a bounty hunter. Vhiim was nowhere near as powerful as most of the Dark Siders that obtained fame, but she was still a dangerous being against most. She taught Kal much about bounty hunting, and even found him a few contacts. However, when she saw him hunt, his pent-up trauma from his childhood resulted in rage that resulted in murder. This pleased her, because when she felt his rage, she felt his connection to the Force. Soon, she trained him in a few basic abilities, such as the ability to sense emotion and the ability to slightly amplify his strength and physical actions through the Force. That said, she was still in a very early part of her journey with the Force, and was only able to teach him rudimentary use of the Force. However, she bested him in combat and trained him for over six years, if it could be called teaching.
Kal used his new ship, a demilitarized Lambda-Class, to sneak into the range of a Star Destroyer. The imperials tractored him aboard, and Kal was greeted by a team of stormtroopers. Using his handmade shiv, he killed two of them, stealing the blaster of a third to wreak havoc on the remaining five. Finally, he was greeted by Darth Vader, who disarmed him quickly, impressed that a fifteen-year-old could achieve such things. He sensed Force-Sensitivity, but knew the dangers of an escaped convict in the ranks and so renamed Kal as Kaliidrad Vorrac. Kal continued to use his old name as a nickname.

Invisible Operative
Vhiim was a cruel teacher, determined to make Kal a killing machine. She frequently beat him, sent him into peril, and mocked his successes. Within a week of teaching, Kal hated her. She taught him Teras Kasi as a martial art, though was careful to keep his training below hers. As he reached the age of eighteen, she added a new level to this cruelty, molesting him frequently. However, three days after his eighteenth birthday, he stole an ancient Sith artifact that his "mistress" called the spidershiv, a knife in the shape of a spider, with a taint in it that caused the body to suffer pain and welt horridly when so much as scratched with it, and stabbed her in her sleep. He enjoyed her pain, and it was through this that he truly acquired a taste for murder. Soon after, he sought work as a mercenary, and though he never attained richness and fame, he managed to live acceptably.

Firstly, Vader taught Kal how to sense life. This would help him to find his opponents. Secondly, Vader taught him how to enhance his physical actions with the Force. Finally, Vader taught him how to modify machinery through aid of the Force. After this, it was time for his training to begin. He was sent to the Stormtrooper Corps at first, taught hand-to-hand fighting, presicion blaster-wielding, and other such things of the troopers. He used Vader's teachings well, modifying his armor and weapons. He kept two contraband blasters under his bed at all times, as well as a heavily-modified E-11 for common use. Also, he kept a combat knife up his right sleeve and the shiv from Kessel, razor-sharp, up his left. He went on many missions for the Stormtrooper Corps, but his duty to Vader and the Emperor was far more sinister. He was an Invisible Op, and often deviated from his orders. He was told to kill fellow stormtroopers, innocent civilians, and even flora and fauna and burn the corpses. He was told to corrupt and destroy certain news reports, and helped greatly to keep the Empire stable.
Adulthood and it's Horrors
At seventeen, he was transferred to the piloting division, again a puppet of Vader. As always, he kept his blades up his sleeves, but commonly never saw outside of a TIE. He commonly used the standard ships for missions, but had a modified Interceptor for his invisible jobs. He served like this for a year and more, until the fall of the Empire in 4 ABY. At this time, he took up the role of bounty hunter, taking jobs no others had the stomach for. He served in this profession until 9 ABY, at which point the new authoritires, the New Republic, captured him and jailed him in Dorthus Tal on a ten-year sentence.
Kal's physical age is about forty years, though he looks twenty. As such, his past in this area was too vast and complicated to sort out perfectly. However, he has learned many clues that have aided him in getting a vague picture of it. For many years, he was an assassin, and his enjoyment of murder made him use the spidershiv, which he kept for his entire life, nearly every time he collected. He would use a blaster when faced with thugs or bodyguards, or other such meaningless kills, but for each of his targets, he savored their death in all of it's sweetness, enjoyed the feel of their bodies as the warmth left them, heard their heart's dying beat. Of course, he was quite psychotic by the time he was twenty, but this did little to make him desist.

King of the Cons
Kal never really settled down in one area, keeping enough credits in reserve for accomodations while spending most of them on a ship, the Hellhound. He saw the ship in a way similar to it being his only friend, and though he frequently had to replace the astromechs he used with it, he always took care of the ship. He was known by some in underground circles as the wanderer, and was contactable only through encrypted messages sent to anonymous droids and redirected to Kal. In this way, none could identify him

He already had prison smarts, but Dorthus Tal gave him even more. Kal became involved in the gang infrastructure of Dorthus Tal. Unlike Kessel, which had used magnetic systems, Dorthus Tal allowed no metal to be used by convicts. Kal, however, used Vader's teachings of strength enhancement to break free one of the bars on the underside of his bed and create a new shiv. Using this, Kal fought his way through the infrastructure of the prison, soon taking up a place at the top. He learned from Baltran Voor, a washed up Dark Jedi, how to use the Dark Side of the Force with skill and even how to build and use a lightsaber. Kal was not one for staying, however, and soon found a way out.
One aspect of Kal's adulthood was his sex life. He discovered soon after he had killed Vhiim that he was considered attractive, or could be, with some aesthetic touches, easily obtained with his pay. He more than once used this to lure a target to bed, killing her there. However, this made enemies, and the few women he did consider lovers were usually killed by these enemies, though he managed to kill many of them.
He caused a prison riot, and took bad wounds. Using the Force, Kal sustained himself in a form of hibernation. He was taken to the morgue, but when he was placed upon a ship to be transferred from the prison with the other corpses, Kal awoke, fully healed, and killed the three crewmen with a scalpel. He then deactivated the autopilot, ready to resume his career as a bounty hunter.
In 21 ABY, however, he was attacked by a Jedi. Using his trick of blowing up blasters, he killed the opponent, taking her weapon as his own. Using this saber, Kal gained the attention of the Jedi.
He was again ambushed, this time by three Jedi. Two he killed, but one of them took out his left eye and knocked him unconscious. The Jedi tried to take him to a medical facility, but the ship he was aboard was blown up by a rival bounty hunter.

A Shattered Mind
Hunt for the Truth
Kal's memory was shattered in a severe accident. He figures that he was inside of a building or a ship, engaging resistance while seeking kills, when said building or ship exploded and he was caught in it. He was badly burned, but evidently he killed the target, as not only was he saved from death, presumably by his employer, but his appearance was reconstructed to make him look like a twenty-year-old. Also, he had his left eye, removed because of damage from the accident, replaced by a prosthesis, at the time perfectly made. The trouble was that he had no memory, other than shreds of traumatic moments and pieces of engraved skill. He found his spidershiv, recovered at the sight of the accident, near his bed and fled the area, stealing a shuttle and flying away toward a nearby space station.

Kal was again found and taken to a medical facility, where he was surgically revived, his image fixed from a burnt wreck of a human to a thriving man, apparently twenty from looks. He awoke, his mind shattered, and escaped the facility by again stealing a ship. He had shards of his memory left, but he sought to remember more. For four long years, he ventured around the galaxy, unidentifiable except by what he remembered his name to be: Kal Vorrac. Kal found that he had a knack for finding clues, and eventually found the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, where he has begun to forge a new life. He currently serves as Commander of Satal Victus, a Battleteam founded by his Master, BubbaX.
The next three years of his life were occupied with survival and an attempt to find out his past. Throughout them, he has seen signs of his past jumping up from nowhere to meet him.

The Mark
Burned into Kaliidrad's hand is a mark in the form of an X with lines across the top and bottom, similar to an hourglass. He recalls it being made in a traumatic dream. Evidently, it was not reparable by his employer. He uses this mark as his personal insignia, and has found it's source. The mark, turned sideways, was the symbol of an old company that had been a disguise for gunrunning. Evidently, the company's sudden cease to exist was because of Kal, who found a story of the company's head branding the mark into his assassin's hand before his death at the assassin's hands. Now, he uses it on all personal equipment and possessions.

Hellhound Reacquired
The ship, Hellhound, was found by Kal being piloted by a rather rich bounty hunter. When Kal saw it, he instantly recognized the modifications he had made earlier in life, which came to him through one of his flashbacks. He led the man away, murdered him, and reacquired the ship. Adding to the paint job his signal, in bright red, on each wing, Kal now flies it in service of his new masters.

The Brotherhood
At the end of the three years, Kal had found the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and proven himself, joining the ranks of Clan Plagueis. They have given him a life, a cause to fight for. More importantly, they have surrounded him with rarities, people similar to him. Here, he hopes to achieve his destiny. Though he is a loner and is loyal to no one, he serves Plagueis and the Brotherhood with all of his black heart.
