Bane is a strong willed warrior who will stop at almost nothing to complete a task.

Character History

Bane, while only being around 20 years old, has had an interesting life and one full of action. Most people probably will not go through the things he has in his lifetime let alone 20 years or so of life. Bane had many events before joining the Dark Brotherhood and here are some, however not all, of the most notable events.

Childhood

As a child Bane spent most of his time wandering the streets of his homeworld and with his friends. However, one day he was walking home and he sensed, somehow, a speeder above and knew it was about to crash. He leapt to the side and the speeder came crashing to the streets missing Bane by millimeters. The crowd stood staring at Bane, because he had jumped farther than most humans could, let alone a child. Confused, Bane sprinted home and tried to explain to his parents what had happened. After Bane told his parents what happened they started talking about sending him to some special school and Bane felt outraged at the mention of it and started yelling at his parents that he wasn't going to go anywhere. His parents started yelling at him that it was for his own good and started to walk towards their child. Bane started crying our in anger and fell to the floor and some blue sparks emitted from his fingertips, looking very similar to a bolt of Force Lightning. Fearing for his life, and also very shaken up, Bane took all of the possessions of his parents that he could get, including the credits in their ban, ,and fled the planet.

Teenage years

As a teenager, Bane started to get more muscular and was able to train with many items he had "inherited" from his parents, stolen, or purchased and became an unknown bounty hunter. He then met a man named Ludo Mallorum and he became Bane's main employer.

Bane's final mission

Ludo Mallorum called Bane to his office and gave him a textdoc containing the information on his next assignment and almost all information affiliated with his target: Jedi Knight Al Kharid. Bane left for his ship straight away and set his Firespray towards a nearby docking station to restock his ship and purchase numerous things he felt he would need on this assignment. On the trip there Bane read over all the information in the textdocs. Bane took no time getting to his destination and met Al Kharid in a cafe and sat down across from the Jedi and asked if he could buy him a drink. Al Kharid said "I don't want to buy you a drink. I want to go along my business." Bane sat there thinking in his mind What the hell is this guy talking about? I offered to buy him a drink. Bane said "Are you alright? You seem a little confused, buddy. I offered to purchase you a drink not the other way around. Al Kharid stared at me as if he had seen a ghost or something very much like one.

He told me that he was a Jedi Knight and that very few beings in the universe couldn't be affected by a Mind Trick unless they were Force Sensitive. He told me that he sensed I knew very little about the Force, but that I knew that there was something that existed and that there was a darkness about me but it seemed to be only a small part of me. The Jedi then offered to take me up as his Padawan. "What did you just call me?!?!?!?!?!?!?" Bane replied. Al Kharid told me that padawan simply meant apprentice, so Bane accepted his offer, completely forgetting about the mission at hand.

The Jedi Knight taught me how to wield a lightsaber and how to open my mind and feelings to the Force. After a training exercise we started talking, He told me common traits of the Light Side and the Dark Side of the Force. Once he told me what Force Lightning was and that it was a trait of the Dark Side, Bane immediately shut down on him, only listening to him, while his attention snapped back to the mission and the fact that I must be part of the Dark Side and Jedi were followers of the light. Therefore, Bane decided to seize the moment and slaughter the Jedi. Bane told Al Kharid that they should probably get some more practice in before the day was over and they started dueling slightly, but Al Kharid was being careful that neither one of them got injured. Bane pushed out with the Force toward the Jedi and Al Kharid went falling to the floor and Bane apologized and said "Let me help you up." Unsheathing a dagger from his boot he bent over and grabbed the Jedi's hand to pull him and quickly slit the Jedi's throat before Al Kharid could sense any deception. Bane took all of Al Kharid's possessions and took off for planets that had reports of Jedi activity or involvement and was able to steal some of their information and items.

Unfinished Business

Bane then set forth to find Ludo Mallorum and collected his credits and murdered him and took all the possessions of his with him as well, even though Bane was wealthy he was always greedy for power and even more wealth. Bane smirked at his dead employer and set course for a new destination...

Dark Brotherhood

Bane had remembered something that Al Kharid had mentioned to him. There was this group of supposedly Dark Jedi called the Dark Brotherood that always caused problems for the Jedi. He had told Bane some of the locations. Bane set course for the nearest site of the Dark Brotherhood and went there to complete his training.

Sun Vail's written history of Bane(and how she found him)

During the fifth year of my life some unexpected changes occurred. I had gone over to my friend’s house and she ran away from me while we were playing tag. I had been chasing her when I accidentally nudged her to the ground without using my body at all. I went sprinting home, not even paying attention to the already dumbstruck crowd. I arrived at my house only to find almost everything gone. I fell to the ground and mourned over the charred remains of my parents and stood up suddenly and started running around the house looking for my brother, Bane. I ran out of the house after not finding a single trace of him and cried myself to sleep in an alley. The next morning I awoke with a shudder from a dank, stale breeze from a nearby vent and set off for the space port. I found a ship and snuck on it and it just so happened to be the ship of Jedi Master Luke Luminati Kharid.

I told this Jedi my story after he discovered me trying to steal some food to eat on his ship. Luke took sympathy on me and raised me like his very own child. Over years he told me how he knew I was Force-sensitive and taught me to listen to the Force and let it flow through me. After a while I could perform simple tasks through the Force, such as pushing and pulling, jumping and running. Levitating, and using the Force to enhance my instincts in battle. He informed me one day after a seemingly distracted study session that his brother had been murdered and he broke into tears. I couldn’t stand to see him like this, so I left and traveled the galaxy looking to put my skills to use, thinking of possibly being an assassin, even though I knew I didn't have the guts to be one.

I searched for news about Bane on missions, fearing he had been enslaved or killed. I followed my leads until I came upon a Jedi Enclave and they told me of one known as the Dark Bane. They informed me that he had killed the Jedi Al Kharid and he had tried killing more Jedi on their planet. Among them I met an interesting being named Xanatos97299. He told me that Bane had tried luring him to join something called the Dark Brotherhood and sold me some coordinates to places in control of the Dark Brotherhood. I thanked them for their help and departed the planet.

I let the ship orbit the planet with the Jedi Enclave and took a moment to rest and take in all this new information. My own brother killed one of my most cherished friend’s brother. I felt heartsick that he could do such a thing, obviously a lot had changed. However, he was still my brother and I decided I owed Luke a visit.

I traveled to Luke’s place and told him what all I had learned about my long lost brother and he was shocked. He started yelling at me and then attacked me with his lightsaber which I was barely able to avoid. I scrambled out of the house and stumbled onto the ramp and took off.

I reluctantly set off to find Bane and his Dark Brotherhood. I arrived on the planet and met someone who told me the only way to gain access was to join their organization, so I took their Test of Lore to become a member and felt a chill go down my back, fearing that this would be the biggest mistake of my life. I was scared of the person I would find. Would the brother I once knew even still be inside of him? I had to find out for myself.

I studied some of their notes and took a few exams trying to act like I cared what was going on and trying to get myself promoted to a higher rank so I would be more respected. Finally, I felt that I could approach my brother and talk to him. Now all that was left was finding him within the Brotherhood.

I found the right house and clan Bane belonged to and now I knew what happened to him and wanted to start a friendship with him, even though he had done terrible things. This had cost me tons of grief and we shall yet see if it was worth it. These thoughts go through my mind every single day. “Will Bane and I become the best of friends? Or will he betray me and in the end become one of my worst enemies?”
