Zaric Jarard is a fledgling member of House Qel-'Droma, and Clan Arcona at large. Born into slavery on Tatooine, he never knew his family and was nameless for years, and only knew simple basic words for a majority of his life.
Due to the harsh treatment he received from everyone around him, he has difficulty with trusting others, and also has regular outbursts of bad temper.
Character History
Born to be a Slave
Zaric was sold into slavery at a very young age and was put to work almost immediately. Due to his youth , he was sold and resold, jumping from owner to owner regularly. Zaric was treated harshly by everyone, but had only one person who would stand up for him, Mason Jarard. Mason realized the young boy would endure extremely harsh treatment so, the man taught the boy how to fight in a mixture of random martial arts. Mason took the boy in as his little brother and named him Zaric.
When Zaric was 15, , he began working seperate areas of the mine from Mason, and they grew apart..One day, there was blaster fire. Zaric, as curious as he was, ran in the direction where it was coming from. He found Mason on the ground in front of their owner, his blaster smoking. . Zaric screamed as the Force exploded out of him, and he tapped into a power he hadn’t felt before. It didn’t help; his owner only grew fearful, shock-collaring Zaric for the remainder of his servitude.
As Zaric grew older he was despised and rejected, he would try to make things positive as Mason told, but his anger and hatred grew as days passed, he would get into fights with other slaves and even with the slave masters.
Gift form the Unknown
One day, when Zaric was 20 years of age, he was called by his owner and was given a note with instructions. A mysterious, unnamed person wanted him to travel half-way across the galaxy, but he hardly noticed that. What truly stood out to him was the post-script, informing the slave that he’d been freed. , Hegrinned, and was happy for the first time in eight long years. .
Zaric followed the instuction to a nearby port, where he found another mysterious, unnamed messenger. They provided him with credits for transport, new gear, and new instructions. They led to him Port Ol'Val, where he was greeted by Tali Sroka and Sera Kaern, the first people he'd meet that weren't slaves or masters.
New Life and New Path
At Port Ol'Val, Zaric would study the Force, combat, and the ways of the Gray Jedi, under Sera Kaern, Zaric has difficulties showing his appreciation and gratitude towards the people who took him in due to how his life was on Tatooine. He was known as a Force Adept for being powerful with the Force.
Even though Zaric life changed for the better, he still have trouble with his anger and gets into fights and arguments.
Physical Description
Zaric is a man of average height, with a broad-shouldered but wiry build the result of hard physical labor. His pallid skin has not seen much sunlight and his short, ash white hair only adds to his complexion. Piercing yellow eyes shine from beneath a thin brow, flanking a rounded nose that has miraculously escaped being broken thus far.
Several scars mark his body, from whip marks to severe burns on his right pectoral, the signs of ill treatment during his enslavement. His stance, despite all this, is doggedly strong and defiant as he carries himself as proudly as only someone who's earned his freedom can.
His voice is gravelly, much like the mines he worked in, and his accent typically Tatooinean.
