Languages

The below list is a collection of the languages in use in the character creation system. Other languages exist, and the best resource to identify a language is to search on Wookieepedia.

Language	Description
Ancient Sith	This is the recognized name of the language of the people of Ziost, Korriban, and the Sith.
Aurebesh	This is the written form of Galactic Basic Standard and is included with Basic.
Basic	This is the common language which everyone can understand, and may also be known as Galactic Basic Standard or Galactic Standard. It is the most common language and includes Aurebesh (its alphabet).
Binary	Binary, often called Droidspeak, is a language of beeps, trills, and whistles spoken by droids, especially astromechs. This can be also acquired as a Feat, but a character should only have one or the other.
Bocce	Bocce is the most common and widely spread trade language used across the galaxy by spacers, merchants and traders.
Aleena	Aleena is the language of the Aleena species, natives of the planet Aleen Minor.
Anzat	Anzat is the language of the Anzati species, natives of the planet Anzat.
Arkanian	Arkanian is the language of the Arkanian species, natives of the planet Arkania.
Balc	Balc is a dialect of Ancient Sith.
Barabel	Barabel is the language of the Barabel species, natives of the planet Barab I.
Batorese	Batorese is the language of the Blood Carver species, natives of the planet Batorine.
Bith	Bith is the language of the Bith species, natives of the planet Clak'dor VII.
Bothese	Bothese is the language of the Bothan species, natives of the planet Bothawui. Often misspelt as Bothanese.
Catharese	Catharese is the language of the Cathar species, natives of the planet Cathar.
Celestial	Celestial is the language of the Celestial species, an ancient species that departed a long time ago, for a galaxy far, far away.
Cheunh	Cheunh is the language of the Chiss species, a dominant force in the Unknown Regions.
Clawdite	Clawdite is the language of the Clawdite species, natives of the planet Zolan.
Coyn	Coyn is the language of the Coynite species, natives of the planet Coyn.
Dadita	Dadita is a coded language employed in Mandalorian culture, and is very similar to Morse code.
Dashadi	Dashadi is the language of the Dashade species, natives of the planet Urkupp.
Devaronese	Devaronese is the language of the Devaronian species, natives of the planet Devaron.
Dosh	Dosh is the language of the Trandoshan species, natives of the planet Trandosha.
Draethos	Draethos is the language of the Draethos species, natives of the planet Draethos.
Dug	Dug is the language of the Dug species, natives to the planet Malastare.
Durese	The Duros language remained a popular language among space travelers due to the abundance of Duro spacefarers, despite the predominance of Basic.
Elomin	Elomin is the language of the Elomin species, natives of the planet Elom.
Epicant	Epicant is the language of the Epicanthix species, natives of the planet Panatha.
Ewokese	Ewokese is the language of the Ewok species, natives of a moon of the planet Endor.
Falleen	Falleen is the language of the Falleen species, natives of the planet Falleen.
Gamorrese	Gamorrese is the language of the Gamorrean species, natives of the planet Gamorr.
Gand	Gand is the language of the Gand species, natives of the planet Gand.
Geonosian	Geonosian is the language of the Geonosian species native to Geonosis and consists of clicks from their mandibles.
Ghorfa	Ghorfa is a written language used by ancestors of the Tusken species, natives of the planet Tatooine, who now rely on the spoken language Tusken.
Gran	Gran is the language of the Gran species, natives of the planet Kinyen.
Gungan Basic	Note that Gungans speak a derivative called Gungan Basic, which includes the surviving elements of Old Gungan.
Gunganese	Gunganese is the technical name of Gungan Basic, a pidgin Basic language of the Gungan species. Gungan Basic is the recognized language characters should have.
Hapan	The Hapan language is spoken by residents of the Hapes Cluster.
High Galactic	High Galactic is a prestige language, most commonly used among Imperial courtiers.
Honoghran	Honoghran is the language of the Noghri species, natives of the planet Honoghr.
Huttese	Huttese, the language of the Hutts, is popular among criminals and the underworld, especially in Hutt space.
Iktotchese	Iktochese is the spoken language of the Iktotchi, natives of the harsh, windy moon of the planet Iktotch.
Ithorese	Ithorese is the language of the Ithorian species, natives of the planet Ithor.
Jawaese	Jawaese is the language of the Jawa species, natives of the planet Tatooine.
Kaleesh	Kaleesh is the language of the Kaleesh species, natives of the planet Kalee.
Kaminoan	Kaminoan is the language of the Kaminoan species, natives of the planet Kamino.
Karanese	Karanese is the language of the Karanan species, natives of the planet Sahare.
Kel Dor	Kel Dor is the language of the Kel Dor species, natives of the planet Dorin.
Khilese	Khilese is the language of the Khil species, natives of the planet Belnar.
Kinetic Language	Kinetic Language is the technical name of Lorrdian. Characters should have Lorrdian instead.
Lorrdian	Lorrdian is the recognized Kinetic Language of the Lorrdians, humans from the planet Lorrd. This language is entirely composed of body language and subtle movements, as the Lorrdians were forbidden from speaking.
Mando'a	Mando'a is the traditional language spoken by Mandalorians.
Melodese	Melodese is the language of the Melodie species, natives of the moon Yavin 8.
Minnisiat	Minnisiat is a trade language used around and near Chiss space.
Miralukese	Miralukese is the spoken language of the Miraluka species, who adopted the planet Alpheridies after their original homeworld became uninhabitable.
Mirialan	Mirialan is the language of the Mirialan species, natives of the planet Mirial.
Mon Calamari	Mon Calamari is the language of the Mon Calamari species, natives of the planet Dac.
Muun	Muun is the language of the Muun species, natives of the planet Muunilinst.
Naboo	Naboo is the language of the humans native to the planet Naboo.
Nautila	Nautila is the language of the Nautolan species, natives of the planet Glee Anselm.
Neti	Neti is the language of the Neti species, natives of the planet Myrkr, who then colonized the planet Ryyk before it is destroyed in a supernova.
Nyriaanan	Nyriaanan is the language of the Nyriaanan species, natives of the planet Nyriaan. It is a mixture of Basic and High Galactic.
Old Gungan	Old Gungan is the language of the Gungan species, natives of the planet Naboo. It later evolved into Gungan Basic, by intermingling the two languages.
Olys Corellisi	Olys Corellisi ("Old Corellian") is the language spoken by the original settlers of Corellia, becoming extinct around 4000 BBY.
Omwatese	Omwatese is the language of the Omwati species, natives of the planet Omwat.
Ongreenen	Ongreenen is the language of the Ongree species, natives of the planet Skustell.
Paecian	Paecian is the language of the humans native to the planet Dathomir.
Pak Pak	Pak Pak is the language of the Neimoidian sub-species, natives of the planet Neimoidia.
Quarrenese	Quarrenese is the language of the Quarren species, natives of the planet Dac.
Rakata	Rakata is the language of the Rakata species, natives of the planet Lehon.
Rattataki	Rattataki is the language of the Rattataki, natives of the planet Rattatak.
Rodese	The native tongue of the Rodians, Rodese, is popular due to the large number of spacefaring Rodians.
Ryl	Ryl is the language of the Twi'lek species, natives of the planet Ryloth, and includes subtle lekku movements and written pictographs, in addition to spoken Twi'leki.
Ryn	Ryn is the language of the Ryn species, a nomad species native to the Core Worlds.
Sakiyan	Sakiyan is the language of the Sakiyan species, natives of the planet Saki.
Selkatha	Selkatha is the language of the Selkath species, natives of the planet Manaan.
Shi'idese	Shi'idese is the language of the Shi'ido species, natives of the planet Lao-mon.
Shyriiwook	Shyriiwook is the main language of the Wookiees. It is considered the most emotive of Wookiee tongues, as opposed to the technical Thykarann or tribal Xaczik dialects.
Sith	The Sith is the native language of the people of Ziost and Korriban. Later it is the language of the Sith. This is recognized as Ancient Sith. Note that Balc is a dialet of Ancient Sith.
Snivvian	Snivvian is the language of the Snivvian species, natives of the planet Cadomai Prime.
Socorran	Socorran is the language of the humans native to the planet Socorro.
Sullustese	Sullustese is the language of the Sullustan species, natives of the planet Sullust.
Sy Bisti	Sy Bisti is a trade language used throughout the Outer Rim.
Thykarann	This is a technical dialect of the Wookiees.
Thyrsian	Thyrsian is a dialect spoken by the Shaevalian and Thyrsian races of the Echani species, natives of the planet Thyrsus.
Togorian	Togorian is the language of the Togorian species, natives of the planet Togoria.
Togruti	Togruti is one of the main languages of the Togruta species, natives of the planet Shili.
Toydarian	Toydarian is the language of the Toydarian species, natives of the planet Toydaria.
Twi'leki	Twi'leki is the spoken language of the Twi'leks, but is recognized as part of Ryl (above) to incorporate the usage of lekku. Characters should have Ryl instead.
Tusken	Tusken is the spoken language of the Tusken Raider species, natives of the planet Tatooine.
Ubese	Ubese is the spoken language of the Ubese species, natives of the planets Uba IV and Ubertica, who could not speak louder than a whisper with technological assistance.
Ubenial	Ubenial is the highly refined sign language used by the Ubese species, as their voices were barely above a whisper.
Umbaran	Umbaran is the language of the Umbaran species, natives of the planet Umbara.
Utapese	Utapese is the language of the Pau'an species, natives of the planet Utapau.
Verpine	Verpine is the language of the Verpine species, natives of the Roche asteroid field. They may also communicate via radio waves thanks to their sensitive antennae.
Xaczik	This is a tribal dialect of the Wookiees on Kashyyyk.
Yuuzhan Vong	The language of the extragalactic Yuuzhan Vong invaders is guttural and grammatically different from Basic, but otherwise straightforward.
Zabraki	Zabraki is the language of the Zabrak species, natives of the planet Iridonia.
Zelosian	Zelosian is the language of the Zelosian species, natives of the planet Zelos II.
Zolanese	Zolanese is the language of the Zolander species, natives of the planet Zolan.
