"You're about as subtle as a Rocket-Launcher" -Zandro to Juda
History
The Beginning
Juda was born into the Kodiak Mandalorian Clan on Dxun to Jant and Jenica, unfortunately his mother, Jenica died at childbirth leaving Jant to raise the child alone. Jant brought up his first born with a strict regime of combat training and survival techniques in the jungles of his Homeworld.
As the years passed by Juda completed his training tasks with some ease but never excelled like his Mandalorian brethren and was somewhat always pushed into the background by his peers- it wasn’t like the young Neo-Crusader didn’t fit in with his Ner’vod, he just didn’t… shine.
This caused Juda to rebel and constantly cried out for his Mandalore’s attention but to no avail, the young Juda never seemed to stand out.
Feelings of the Force
When Juda reached puberty he slowly began to surpass in his training, his mind and body suddenly felt attuned to his surroundings and always had an overwhelming sense of déjà vu, flashes of imagery would come to Juda telling him of the near future but the young Mandalorian could never act on it.
Confused, he told his father about these feelings who was now riddled with arthritis and becoming a very weak man. Jant told his son to forget about these feelings and to put them to the back of his mind as they’d only lead to trouble.
Juda unwillingly did as his father had said and gradually dismissed the strange senses he was getting. Juda eventually began an apprenticeship as a Medic under a Mandalorian Warrior and left his home planet for the first time to complete his training.
Disaster
When Juda was eighteen and had completed his training as a fully-fledged Medic he was given news that his father had passed, Juda knew that weakness had consumed his father and immediately returned to his home for the funeral.
Underneath his calm, stoic composure was a naive, earnest young man who vowed that he would prove himself exceptional, noticeable, best at something rather than fall into ignominy. Juda met a fellow Ner’vod at his father’s funeral that he hadn’t seen since leaving for his training, the man went by the name of Sashar and had left Dxun to focus on his Force abilities.
The Mandalorian saw that Juda had Force aptitude and told him of Galeres, here he could attune his mind to his Force skills and become the warrior he desperately strived to become.
Soulfire
Upon Juda’s arrival to Galeres he was immediately stationed into the elite unit that was the Soulfire Strike Team; apparently Sashar had pulled some strings and got him put into what was the best strike force Galeres had to offer, under the promise that he would train up to become Soulfire’s standard.
Juda had calmed down a lot since being with Soulfire in the sense that he lost the urge to be centre of attention. Soulfire was very closely knit and although it had it's ranking system the team were more of a family, they would provide support, wisdom and knowledge for their brethren. Juda was finally an indispensable asset.
Appearance
Juda stood a little shorter than most people would expect for a hardened Mandalorian - barely reaching 5'9, his physique was nevertheless lean, toned and still in the gangly adolescent stage (ever so slightly). However, his build was ideal for a pilot who often had to fit into small cockpits.
With an open face, a dimpled chin and warm green eyes, Juda didn't let convention get in the way and wore his dark crimson hair with pride, letting its bangs fall low on his forehead to frame his youthful visage.
Armour
Juda's Soulfire armour is the Assault Trooper range, the only main difference being the helmet. This contains a databank able to hold large ammounts of information on various crafts and how to operate them. This feature can be accessed through the interface on the guantlet.
The helmet also contains a medisensor that helps analyse wounds and suggest a suited treameant, it also boasts an optical zoom for finer medical work.
The guantlet holds a datapad with a keyboard for enquieres.
Juda received his Mandalorian armour at his father’s funeral. When the red-coloured armour first came into Juda’s possession it was heavily dented and scuffed but still turned out to be a snug fit. The only real adjustment Juda made to the suit was a new paint job; he opted for the Mandalorian iron plates to be a dark grey tint but kept the original red-trim. Juda also had the words; ‘Dha Werda Verda a'den tratu’ inscribed across the breastplates. A segment from an old Mandalorian war song meaning; ‘The wraith of the warrior’s shadow’ The only real part of the armour he left untouched was the shoulder-guard, bearing his father's emblem.
The weapon’s attached to the suit are minor, a stun-cable launcher attached to the right gauntlet and wristband blades while the left bears a mounted energy shield. The Merr-Sonn JT-12 jetpack was left untouched as Juda believed it would prove most useful for progressing across the battlefield to treat the wounded.
The helmet boasts a Macrobinocular Viewplate with a medisensor, an environmental filter system and a long-range commlink. Juda is also able to read the stats of his team-mates vital signs through his helmet. Juda sprayed the helmet the same scheme as the rest of his armour.
Combat
Juda was trained in the fighting style of Shadow Fist since the age of five. A style created by the orginal Mandalorian's, consists of quick, precise strikes, aiming for the weakest possible points on the body.
The axiom of Shadow Fist is that you can't hurt what you can't hit. It revolves around deception and misdirection, relying on quick, erratic movements, and stealthy attacks, to cause damage over a period of time, while wearing out the opponent.
Gear
- Silenced Kashnir Arms KX-80 Repeating Blaster Rifle
The Kashnir Arms KX-80 Repeating Blaster rifle was originally intended as a squad-level infantry support weapon. Juda’s weapon of choice and is almost always slung across his shoulder.
- BlasTech DH-17 Pistol (Silenced)
The DH-17 was an example of a typical blaster pistol, and was a standard-issue military sidearm in the Imperial Navy, the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the New Republic Defense Fleet. A short-range combat weapon, the DH-17 had an optimum range of thirty meters, but its armor-piercing laser bolts were effective up to four times that distance.
Located in a holster on his left thigh Juda modified the pistol with a silencer and modified the weapon to fire in short bursts.
Juda's VibroCombat Knife was a blade that used an internal generator to make the blade vibrate. These vibrations could make even a glancing blow, into a huge gruesome slash, thus making it a far more effective weapon in close combat, or as a tool. Juda kept the weapon strapped in a sheath across his mid-section.
Juda rarely used explosives but when he did he kept two Class B Thermol Detonaters and one Glop Grenade attached to the back of his medical belt.
Medical Supplies
Being a medic for Soulfire the young Mandalorian held various supplies in the pouches of a medical belt that was buckled across his waist, these included;
- Medisensor
- Synthskin x1 bottle
- Bacta Patch x10
- Field Surgery Kit x1
- Laser Scalpel x1

A Master and Apprentice
For months Juda was being taught the ways of the Force by Sashar, Soulfire’s Comm/Tech expert in secret, the reason for this was because Sashar already had two apprentices, this alone was an overwhelming task and a third was highly frowned upon.
Nevertheless Juda became more and more attuned with the Force over the passing weeks and constantly impressed his Master. Juda was highly skilled as a ‘seer’ along with having regenerative and healing Force powers, Sashar expects that the red-haired Medic will become a great Force-user.
Juda has a respect for Sashar like no other and is constantly taking his council into notice, and while the Dark-side grasps at Juda at every turn, Sashar’s faithful voice always seems to ease the young Mandalorian to the way of the Grey Jedi.
Shatterpoint
An elegant Starfighter that came into Juda’s possession through his medical abilities, the Shatterpoint has quite a history. Originally owned by Bravo Squadron member; Ellberger and was even piloted into combat against the Trade Federation’s forces during the Invasion of Naboo. Miraculously Ellberger survived, along with the N-1 and the Interceptor would later be used for standard escort and patrol duties.
Some time after this the N-1 was in possession of a devil-may-care Naboo Fighter Corps member who was shot down during a training mission on Kalarba. The Starfighter however was never salvaged and lay corroding away until approximately 2BBY where a scavenger named Jarèd Tau stumbled upon the downed Interceptor.
Jarèd spent months restoring the Starfighter to it’s original self and even traded one of his most loyal droids for the Chromium paint-job. Jarèd later modified the Astromech docking station and replaced it with a KX-4 laser cannon turret.
Years later Dark Brotherhood member Juda would save Jarèd’s life while on an infiltration mission for Soulfire Strike Team. Jarèd couldn’t of possibly thanked Juda anymore than he did and gave the young Force adept possession of the antiquated Naboo Starfighter. (Along with a DH-17 Blaster pistol and 150 credits)
Juda named the N-1 ‘Shatterpoint’ after the complex Force phenomenon he had recently learned he was able to perceive.
Shatterpoint is stocked with an array of armaments including; two laser cannons mounted to the wings and one where the Astromech dock would have been and one Proton torpedo launcher underneath the hull. It’s pilot is also protected by an advanced life-support system and deflector shields, which have since been upgraded.
All in all the Shatterpoint is a fearsome, yet very graceful and elegant Starfighter, capable of outmanoeuvring many a pilot and having enough firepower to destroy the most resistant Starfighters, despite it’s age.
