Davros Korban is a Protector within the ranks of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Born in the slums of the Coruscant Underworld, he eventually found himself a Dark Jedi recruit, destined for greatness.
Character History
Davros Korban was born in the underworld slums of Coruscant to poverty-stricken parents. By the age of 4, his father had been murdered by a local crime boss for failing to pay back a loan. His mother tried to support her young son by any means necessary. Eventually she, too, turned to the criminal world for credits.
When Davros was 13, his mother left their modest apartment, little more than a hovel, in search of work and disappeared into the perpetual twilight that was the Coruscanti Undercity. She was never seen again.
For years he made a life for himself in the Coruscant Underworld. Being as unimpressive a figure as he was, he was constantly a target for gangs and petty thieves. Always a scrawny boy, he was unable to put up much fight and so rarely did. When faced with confrontation, he simply gave them whatever they demanded. It was degrading and he hated himself for it.
During his teens, he could never shake the feeling that he was destined for more than to just live and die in the slums. He looked around him day after day and saw beings who had given up, content with life in the Undercity, and he just couldn't accept that his life was set unchanging before him.
One rainy day during his late teens, he found himself woken up by a strange feeling in the back of his mind. Moments later, the door to his hovel was kicked in and six heavily armed beings stepped inside. Led by a Toydarian, they demanded reparations for the time Davros had spent in what they claimed to be their space. Having nothing to give and tired of giving in to Underworld slime, he stood up to the thugs. The Toydarian told Davros that, if the fee could not be paid, the fee would be taken in other forms.
As the thugs closed in around him, Davros first felt fear, but quickly transformed that fear into anger. He was more angry than he had ever been in his life. All of his circumstances piled on top of one another, compounding his fury further. A strange pressure seemed to be building in his chest and with great effort, it released.
Davros was knocked unconscious by whatever it was. When he regained consciousness, he saw that all of the thugs had been killed, each of them with their faces frozen in extreme pain. Though unknown to him at the time, Davros had, for the first time, tapped into the Force and used it to kill. From that day on, he knew that he would never again be bothered by the scum of the Undercity and that somehow, he had been granted the power to become great.
Recruitment to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood
Sometime after the incident that first opened him up to the Dark Side, Davros was recruited to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and brought into the Order to train in the ways of the Dark Side of the Force.

Davros, growing up on the streets, was a quick learner and excelled at his studies. Rising quickly through the ranks, it wasn't long before he earned his first lightsaber.
