History
The planet of Ch'hodos is located in the Sith Worlds Region of the Outer Rim Territories. Shrouded in the Stygian Caldera and positioned along the Nache Bhelfia hyperlane, Ch'hodos lay between the planets of Ziost and Krayiss II. A second hyperlane, the Zorfe Trete, linked Ch'hodos to the planet of Ashas Ree and provided a secondary supply line to the planet. Considered a lesser planet within Sith lore, Ch'hodos was relatively unpopulated until the Sith Lord Shar Dakhan claimed it for his own.
A historical fiefdom of Ziost, Ch'hodos fell under the control of Shar Dakhan in 5,000 BBY. Utilizing natural stone from the planet, Shar Dakhan erected his great fortress in the defensible rocky regions of hte planets southern hemisphere. Amassing great armies of Sith Soldiers and Massassi warriors, Shar Dakhan supported Naga Sadow's plans to attack the republic.
In 3,641 BBY, Ch'hodos supported a fully capable Army and Navy capable of invading the republic. During this time the planet's sun began to increase radiation levels resulting in mutations to local desert wildlife and undetermined effects upon the Sith population.
It was the mutations of the planet's species that led to the creation of a top secret scientific research facility that combined Sith alchemy and scientific investigation. Shar Dakhan ordered his subordinates to bring captured species to the planet and record the impact of the sun's radiation upon them. Additional studies would take place focusing on the mutation of Force sensitives and the enhancement of certain powers.
In 34 ABY, elements of the One Sith conducted expeditions to the planet's surface and secured the fortress of Shar Dakhan. Despite 5,000 years of deterioration, the fortress remained a highly defensible position and a treasure trove of Dark Side artifacts.
Geography
Ch'hodos is a rocky desert planet featuring endless red landscapes. Formed entirely of rocky terrain and deserts, the planet was unable to support agricultural growth and forced to rely on imports to sustain a population.
Points of Interest
The Fortress of Shar Dakhan
Located in the southern hemisphere of the planet, Shar Dakhan's fortress was a great stone structure nestled within red mountains and natural stone structures. Defensible on all sides, the fortress served as a staging ground for Shar Dakhan's ground and space forces during the Great Hyperspace War.
Time and abandonment have led to the structures deterioration over the past 5,000 years. Ruins litter courtyards and great sections of the fortress have collapsed upon themselves. The structure has become unstable and a potentiality exists for further collapse if the fortress is attacked. Due to collapse and natural predators, several sections of the castle's interior remain intact. Great warehouses of artifacts and Sith lore have survived treasure hunters and tomb robbers.
Hidden within the facility remains the scientific and alchemical research labs devoted to the research of mutations resulting from Ch'hodos' sun. Research within the facility may indicate potential positive side effects from the red sun's mutations.
The One Sith
Elser Repu
An early candidate for the position of One Sith Fist, Elser Repu is a notable warrior and lightsaber combatant. Trained in an unpredictable style, the dual bladed saberist utilizes his great stores of anger and hatred to defeat enemies swiftly. A middle aged human, Esler is a Dark Adept level combatant capable of defeating any like ranked combatant in solo combat. Intelligence recommends Strike Teams engage this target.
Erithin Vax
A former acolyte among the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, this human male was known under the moniker 'Nephets' before defection to the One Sith. Assigned to Repu as apprentice, he has often been seen searching the southern wastes, presumably on a mission for his master. Files indicate a low to mid equite proficiency level, but due to his defection, Erithin Vax is marked as a priority target.
Captain Lin and the Core’s End
Captain Lin, a Nautolan space marine turned smuggler and her ship, the 'Core's End', a heavily modified YT-1930 has been sighted recently landing on Ch'Hodos. Lin is a known trafficker of munitions and other goods and can be assumed to be running supplies to One Sith forces on the planet. The Iron Throne prefers the intact capture of the captain and her ship.
