Dark Prophet is the fifteenth rank in the Dark Brotherhood, which is awarded after demonstrating above and beyond performance as a Dark Jedi Master. It is the final rank in the Elder class, the last step down the path to Grand Master.
A promotion to Dark Prophet can only be authorized by the Grandmaster himself.
It is also the final promotion attainable by members of the Dark Brotherhood, aside from being promoted to the physical post of Grand Master.
History
- The only person who outranks a Dark Prophet is a Grand Master.
- Dark Prophet used to be an honorary rank only given to those who retired from the position of Grand Master.
- Dark Prophet used to be called Dark Jedi Primarch and was restricted so only four people could hold the rank at any one time. It was later known as Dark Jedi Primarch/Dark Prophet before finally becoming Dark Prophet.
