Character History
Early Life
Khal Xanderi was a young child when taken from his home world of Coruscant with his parents who were starting a new job as assassins for some noble family or another, he doesn’t remember the name. All he remembers is being looked down on and treated as a monster which given the appearance of the Dashade species was uncommon outside of Urkupp was justified. What Khal does remember is the taunts and psychological jabs thrown at him because of not only how he looked but the fact that he didn’t yet speak basic. This was a source of frustration for the Dashade youngling and so he studied basic under his mother when he wasn’t being trained in combat by his father. The family bond was strong but there was no attachment that couldn’t be broken.
Adolescence
When he reached his adolescent years he began to develop his survival instincts and combat prowess, he would go days without food and be expected to fight and win convincingly which he did though this came at a cost. His parents had disobeyed their master and the young Dashade was forced to face off against his parents in a duel to the death. Khal was proclaimed as the winner of the duel and would take over his parents’ role as protector of a spoilt little brat with a rich father. Khal had no choice but to go along with it, his parents being dead forced him into work in order to survive.
Sleep
By the time he had turned 16 Khal had survived a number of confrontations with challenging opponents but primarily his job was boring, he was very well paid and had started to develop a reputation as a fearsome warrior. Then one day a man came to visit the person Khal was protecting and Khal watched him extremely closely, something felt different about the man. He wore a long dark robe and had an aura of darkness that Khal had previously only heard about. The dark side of the force is what Khal was used to it being called. Khal stood as his master and the man talked and the man was irritating the youngster when he took his weapon and hit Khal in his arm, wounding him enough to allow Khal’s employer to be killed. Khal then took up the offer of being healed and placed in suspended animation to be awoken at a later date.
The next thing Khal remembers he was in some kind of chamber, and a man, not too different from the last one Khal had seen was watching over him. The chamber opened and Khal stumbled out. Khal was told it had been 67 years since he was put in the chamber and his wounds had healed. He would undergo a series of tests to ensure his significant combat ability had not been lost over the years. He passed all the tests and was allowed to go on one condition, it'd been discovered over the testing that Khal was a force sensitive, the old man overseeing him directed him to somewhere he would meet a member of an organization that could help him develop his powers.
Dark Jedi Brotherhood
The old man had agreed to send one of his slaves along with Khal to help him with the meeting and getting to know the state of the galaxy, he learned of the Empire's fall and the founding of the New Republic but before he could learn more they arrived. A human female approached Khal and his escort before dragging the slave behind her and walking around Khal, as if she was inspecting a slave. Khal and the slave followed the mysterious woman as she met with some Trandoshans ad headed to the stars. Khal would bond with the woman whose ship he had been taken to as she revealed herself to be a Dark Jedi of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood
Physical Description
Khal is at the top end of his species' average height range with the quite muscular and sometimes intimidating physique that is common among the Dashade. His skin in dark gray which highlight his blood red eyes. His appearance is considered nothing special among the Dashade but would look impressive to some other races. He prefers to wear dark clothing, occasionally robes and often something that provides more protection such as armour.
