| Being a Hapan, Amber was groomed from the beginning to take on the mindset of a Dark Jedi Knight. She was the daughter of Consortium member Jennsen Amnell, a very popular politician with a large following. The Amnells were extremely wealthy, and Amber never found herself in a situation in which she couldn't do what she pleased. Her upbringing didn't refine her social skills, she never realized that they were needed to be successful. As a result, Amber's bluntness and social awkwardness always subjects her to clashing with other people.

| If there was one thing her mother did teach her, however, it was that even though they were from money, hard work was needed to put the Amnells ahead. Plenty of royalty had the funds to enable them to rule, but the additive of determination and a good work ethic was deadly. With this mindset, Amber went to school, trying hard and becoming the top of her class quite swiftly and for the entire duration.
