Character Biography
Arion has played many roles through his life thus far: jedi padawan, spy and assassin, before becoming a Dark Jedi. His hunger for knowledge and power has often proved his undoing, such that he has missed or squandered multiple opportunities to attain true power. Despite these missteps, Arion continues his quest to enhance his control over the Dark Side of the Force.
Childhood
Home, Family and Secrets
Arion was born the oldest child of a minor aristocratic family on Alderaan that had close ties with Bail Organa and his nascent Rebellion. The family's most closely-guarded secret, however, is that they had discovered and safeguarded one of the few remaining Jedi Knights to survive the purge of Order 66. As part of their yearly inspection of their off-world business interests, Arion's family would visit the now elderly Jedi Knight. It was during one of these visits that the Jedi recognized in Arion an innate sensitivity to the Force when the three-year old boy boldly declared that his mother was pregnant with his baby sister (despite the fact that neither of his parents were yet aware of the fact).
Fearing that the Empire would discover their son's aptitude, they left him in the care of the Jedi to instruct him in the ways of the Force. Due to the importance of this arrangement remaining secret, the family ceased their yearly visits. The Jedi discovered that Arion possessed an innate connection to living things through the Force, enabling him to heal serious wounds with a touch of his hand, as well as to link his mind and communicate telepathically with other beings. The Jedi Knight focused on training Arion to hone these abilities in the hope that he would be able to assist in the rebirth of the Jedi Order at a future time.
The Consuming Darkness
Arion's training continued for the next five years, at which point the the Jedi Knight had agreed to return Arion to his family and come out of hiding to join the Rebellion. Arion, overly excited to see his family and sister for the first time in five years, made use of the training he had received to reach out through the Force and touch the minds of his family. A flood of relief washed over him as he made contact with each of them, and confirmed that they were all healthy and equally excited to see him.
His family's emotions suddenly turned into fear and panic. Trying to discover what was wrong, Arion inadvertantly connected his mind to thousands of people then living on Alderaan. Through their eyes, he saw something that he initially thought was a moon in the sky. Then, in a flash of light, Arion felt his family, and thousands of others, die. The experience caused extensive psychological damage to the young boy, who was unprepared to deal with that kind of experience.
