Anga Salinas

Character History

Anga Salinas was born in Babali, the only daughter born to Tau and Kerana Salinas. This is not to say that Anga did not have siblings, but they were all male. Anga’s parents were historians and archaeologists on the planet of Babali, which was the home to one of the Obroan Institute for Archaeology campuses.

From an early age Anga accompanied her parents on digs of ruins throughout the system and she was taught to keep careful notes and sketches of everything she saw. Her brothers followed their parents’ footsteps, with her brother Arepoko finding the ancient ruins of a Jedi temple on their home planet during his tenure as archaeology professor at the Institute.

Anga was invited to join the Shadow Academy and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood when a traveler stopped for supplies at her home. This traveler had felt the Force flowing through Anga, though at this point in time the Force was neutral. The stranger felt that Anga could be molded into a useful part of the Brotherhood. Anga accepted the invitation, determined to make her own path in life.

Years later, while Anga was attending the wedding of two clan mates, most of her family perished when their archaeological camp was attacked by raiders looking for artifacts to sell in the black market. It was during this tragic time that Anga met and fell in love with Sharad Hett, the Obelisk High Commander of the Dark Brotherhood.

Sharad helped her deal with her loss and helped her turn her focus to other things. Others that helped her throughout this time were her best friend, Alisande Sayeesa and her husband Timbal (who was also Anga’s Master); Cuchulain; Saitou; and Trevarus. Sharad proposed to Anga midyear of 17 ABY, and they were finally married in late 21 ABY.

Anga left her home with Clan Scholae Palatinae to follow her then fiancé into Clan Taldryan where she was assigned to the Phoenix Phyle of House Ektrosis. Here she made friends with everyone though she still made regular contact with the ‘family’ she’d left behind in CSP. Tragedy hit close to home during the Exodus, when Alisande Sayeesa stayed behind with some of the others who had been brainwashed by the tyrants. Timbal had a child to raise, and Anga took some time off from her other DB duties to help him out as much as possible with frequent visits and constant communication to show her support.

Anga takes her duties in the Dark Brotherhood very seriously, but there are times when she takes long hiatuses to search for those who killed her family. She is joined in that search by the only remaining blood relative she has left: her older brother Arepoko, who had changed his name to Aramí as a sign of mourning.
