I can't think of a reason why Paladin would have retired from JST before Faethor got GM, as he was High Inquisitor the whole time, so I guess was JST the whole time, and once Faethor got GM he wouldn't have been JST, so I don't think he was, no. I don't think that Paladin and Faethor actually were Justicars. There was an entirely different setup and name for the positions back then if I remember correctly -Kir Taldrya Katarn
