Chris Farrell is the creative mind behind the character of Tarentum's own Jason Hunter.
He was born on the Fourth of March in 1985, in the northern Californian town of Redwood City. Around the age of 1, his family of three moved south to the Los Angeles suburbs to a location that is known by three names: Valencia, Saugus, or Santa Clarita. The only thing of note about Valencia, is that it had a Six Flags amusement park (Magic Mountain) located roughly five minutes from his home. That vicinity to a theme park as a child is why he doesn't enjoy going to one now as an adult, no matter how much his girlfriend begs to visit Silverwood when they go to Idaho.
He was a L.A. Dodgers fan growing up, as well as the Seattle Mariners. Little did he know that, already being a fan of Junior, Buhner, and Edgar, would come into use in October of '95.
The fall of 1995, when he was 10, his parents and him moved to the Great Northwest, to the City of Bothell. Chris would finish his elementary school there, and start Junior High, before the move. It was there, in Bothell, that the character of Jason Hunter first started to take shape.
One of his friends possessed the Nintendo 64, along with StarFox 64. Every chance he had, Chris would play that game, and he created a character for that franchise's online community. Originally, he came up with the asinine name of "RumbleMan," an homage to Nintendo's RumblePak. Eventually, as the character took some shape, and he struggled with a name, his friend gave him one. And thus, the brand of Jason Hunter was born.
As time went on, Chris developed Jason into a fairly well-known StarFox character. But, as things do, he lost interest as his passion for Star Wars grew. Eventually, the kit fox became a Corellian with a wholly different back story, appearance (obviously) and demeanor.
Jason Hunter really took to "life" as Chris entered High School in Marysville. There, he found a darkness within himself, and "writing it out," was a type of therapy to help with the depression that set in. He still recalls those teenage days distinctly, and remembers how unerringly stupid he was.
