Alethia Thul Archenksova is a Human female Loyalist currently in the service of Clan Odan-Urr. The child of a successful Coruscanti military contractor and an Alderaanian socialite, Alethia was recruited into Imperial Security directly from COMPNOR’s Sub-Adult Group. After several years working in Investigations and Internal Affairs, culminating in a long assignment to Alderaan, Alethia was involuntarily placed in suspended animation for 34 years before being awakened by Jedi Knight Edgar Drachen.

Character History

Youth (29 BBY - 12 BBY)

Alethia Archenksova was born on Coruscant to Coruscanti businessman Hyperion Archenksova and Alderaanian socialite and noble Theia Thul. Hyperion's business manufactured military hardware as a subcontractor, a role that made him a very comfortable living supplying the Republic Judiciary forces and numerous local and regional militias. After the outbreak of the Clone Wars, business exploded and the Archenksovas made a substantial fortune. Hyperion became a staunch supporter of Chancellor Palpatine and lobbied extensively for his ever-increasing emergency powers. Naturally, he fully embraced the New Order.

The Thuls were minor Alderaanian nobility who had fallen on hard times. Already shunned due to her husband's business, Theia and her children were in de facto exile after the Declaration of a New Order due to their unwavering support for the new regime. Alethia and her brothers were pulled out of their boarding school on Alderaan and spent the rest of their childhoods on Coruscant. Recognized as a beauty from a young age, Alethia's parents groomed her for life as a socialite in hopes that she would marry a Moff or Admiral. Fate had different plans.

Alethia was active in COMPNOR’s Sub-Adult group throughout her teen years. At the age of 17, she single-handed foiled a terrorist plot by a fellow unit leader who sought to avenge his parents, who had been imprisoned and executed by the ISB on suspicion of treason. The plot involved a bomb during a COMPNOR rally in Imperial Center, and - if successful - would have claimed the lives of several high ranking Imperials. The incident drew the attention of the security apparatus, and Imperial Security had recruited her by her 18th birthday.

Alethia’s affiliation with Security was kept secret during her early assignments. She took a minor bureaucratic post in the Esstran Sector, where she became Moff Gehrad Ritzle’s mistress. Eventually she succeeded in revealing Ritzle’s operation selling Sith and Jedi artifacts to a wealthy and mysterious “private collector”. Alethia killed him and led the local garrison to capture his contact before leaving the public eye.

Another early mission for ISB saw Archenksova join a pirate gang in the Outer Rim that had been working loosely with the Rebel Alliance. After a successful coup against the gang’s leader, she led the gang to betray their rebel contacts and turn them into the local Moff for a lucrative bounty. Having set the gang on a mutually beneficial path, she faked her death and returned to Coruscant.

Alderaanian Counterintelligence and Downfall (5 BBY - 0 ABY)

Alethia’s exceptional service landed her a prestigious post in the Alderaan Sector, where she was able to use her family’s contacts to document widespread rebel sympathies. Initially Archenksova operated under official cover as a member of the Coalition for Progress. To the initial surprise and delight of the Alderaanian arts community, Archenksova fought to increase imperial funding for the arts and prevent censorship. Ultimately, however, this was an effort to ingratiate herself with a community rife with rebel financiers and sympathizers. Alethia presented numerous individuals with the evidence against them, offering to spare them if they became informants for the Empire - which led to more informants and eventually to a fairly complete map of the Alliance’s financial backing on Alderaan. By 2 BBY, Alethia was known throughout the community as an ISB asset and dropped the pretense of official cover through COMPNOR.

Unfortunately, some of the rebellion’s sympathizers were so influential as to be beyond even Alethia’s reach. When ISB determined that Princess Leia Organa was bringing the plans for the Death Star to the Rebel Alliance, Archenksova was recalled to Coruscant for a thorough debriefing. What at first seemed to be a disgraceful end to her career ultimately saved Alethia's life by taking her offworld just before Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin destroyed Alderaan.

Now a political liability and devoid of friends and supporters, Alethia was short on options. She accepted an offer to join an experimental ISB project intended to preserve talented agents for future use. She was put into stasis aboard a sleeper ship programmed to hyperjump between randomly generated coordinates until it received a retrieval notice from Coruscant. With the fall of the Empire and subsequent collapse of ISB, that signal never came.

After 34 years, the sleeper ship arrived in the Yhi System where it was intercepted by the KUDF navy. A small force led by Edgar Drachen boarded the ship and liberated the contents, deciding to only awaken one of the frozen passengers. After a debriefing on the Fey'lya's Last Stand, Alethia was given a probationary commission in the KUDF and assigned to House Satele Shan in Seher. After proving her loyalty and usefulness, she was assigned by Quaestor Mar Sûl to Strike-Team Ooroo. Unfortunately, she had barely gotten settled before Darth Pravus' forces ravaged the planet.

Florrum, Kiast, and Leadership (34 ABY - Present)

In the chaos after the fall of New Tython, Alethia rose to the position of Mako Henymory's right hand. She helped lead Satele Shan through the effort to protect Undesireables from Clan Plagueis on Florrum, although ultimately the Odanites were defeated.

Appearance

Physical Description

Alethia doesn’t much look the part of a ruthless enforcer of government authority. Perhaps a bit too tall to be called dainty, she is nevertheless slender and fine-boned. Her movements are graceful and deliberate, owing to a youth spent in dance classes and finishing schools. Out of uniform, she’s anything but intimidating - but at work her icy demeanor and carefully cultivated aura of omniscience and control are enough to chill the blood of her close friends, to say nothing of her enemies.

Alethia has a generally cool complexion, with fair, even-toned skin. She has been dyeing her hair a silver color since her teens, although she has been known to freely change the color while under cover. Alethia keeps her hair about shoulder-length and usually wears it pulled back.

Attire

Alethia is most frequently found in her uniform when on Daleem or a warship. Elsewhere, flowing gowns, billowing sleeves, and even cloaks serve both as decoration and distraction. Alethia spends a considerable portion of her pay having her outfits tailored to her exact specification. These modifications usually have more to do with form than function: tear away seams, concealed pockets, collar- or cuff-mounted comlinks, and in one case even a plastoid armor corset. At the very least, Archenksova will be concealing a vibroblade and a dart launcher somewhere on her person. She favors cool shades of blue, purple, and green; soft, light fabrics; and cuts that hint at or accentuate her figure rather than blatantly displaying it.

It's very rare to see Alethia without her hair and makeup in perfect order, and many wonder why a such a practical woman devotes such time and expense to cosmetics.

Personality and Traits

Personality

Alethia's demeanor varies widely between situations based on the social context, which can be disconcerting to people who aren't used to it. A former Imperial officer, she tends to be extremely formal and businesslike with her subordinates and whenever she is in a command position. Alethia dismisses the typical handwringing over risk or casualties as useless sentimentality, which leads to many within Odan-Urr's military to think of her as overly cold and calculating. On the contrary, in situations that aren't life and death matters, Alethia is warm and affectionate. She laughs and smiles freely and is rapidly gaining a reputation for charm among the Vatali nobility.

Mannerisms

Philosophies and beliefs

The Jedi

The Sith

For someone who once upheld a Dark Side magocracy, Alethia has a very low opinion of the Sith. The Sith philosophy is inherently prone to chaos and self-destruction; Alethia ultimately blames Palpatine and Vader's obsession with the Sith and the Dark Side for the Empire's defeat at Endor and subsequent collapse. After Pravus began focusing his energies on destroying a variety of non-Humans and non-Sith, and especially after the attack on New Tython, Archenksova concluded that he represents an existential threat to the galactic order and must be destroyed.

The Empire

Abilities

Combat

Alethia isn't a combat specialist, but she is smart, resourceful, and paranoid. Typically, she is accompanied by Mar Sûl or some other bodyguards who can be relied upon to protect her. Despite the hands-off approach, Alethia is competent with blades and blasters. She is adept a disarms and quick take-downs, and favors sonic blasters and contact stunners than can bypass a Sith's lightsaber or Telekinesis.

Other Skills

Alethia dedicated her career to ferreting out spies and traitors and turning them against their masters. She excels at leading people into traps or compromising situations, discerning their true motivations, and investigating their links to other individuals, organizations, or financial institutions.
