HIstory of Dakhani Solutions

Before Shar Dakhan

Dakhani Solutions began its existence as a subsidiary of the Dlarit Corporation, dedicated to insuring art and other cultural artifacts. This was accomplished by a series of contracts held with various businesses on Aeotheran, having developed a large client base among small businessses in Kel Rasha after a rash of thefts in the city. Due to the finer focus in Kel Rasha for small businesses, Dlarit felt there was a need for a local office to solidify their corner on that particular market there. To this end, Dakhani Solutions was formed as a "solution". By having a local office, Dlarit was able to offer insurance to smaller companies who could not afford to turn down the service offered. This allowed Dlarit to make more money with less overhead, keeping control of their own profit without outright owning the businesses in question.

Despite their corner on the market, Dakhani Solutions met with limited success early in its existence. The invasions of Plagueis and Zoraan both served to set back operations, but some careful manipulation by Dlarit allowed these setbacks to justify a greater number of sales and agreements in the aftermath holding up the havoc experienced to convince clients as to the necessity of the coverages offered by Dakhani Solutions. Further problems arose when citizens of Kel Rasha rebelled against Dlarit alongside other groups in 32 ABY. This rebellion forced the Dlarit Corporation to abandon all assets outside of Seng Karash as they retreated fell back to the city. Without the support of their parent company, Dakhani Solutions fell apart practically overnight.

Despite lacking the guidance of more experienced businessman, the funding of their parent corporation, or the other resources at the hands of Dlarit, Dakhani struggled to keep itself from bankrupting. Many of the more profitable businesses previously ensured by the entity had been liberated from beneath the thumb of Dlarit, with the new management of the majority wanting anything to do with any business that even hinted at possible cooperation with a Dlari asset, former or current. It was in this dark time that the nearly-defunct company was seized upon by Izanami Kurai. Kurai capably acquired a controlling interest within the company, intent to lead the company around to turn a tidy profit.

Post-Dlarit Operations

With a firm hand, Dakhani Solutions saw a meteoric rise in sales of both products and protection. Company shares skyrocketed, priceless art and artifacts were insured and validated, and Director Kurai set aside funds from the company to enrich the lives of the common man. Throughout the city, the Director led in dedicating schools, museums, art galleries and libraries. The petite woman had created a business giant within Kel Rasha practically overnight, marking a second major swing for Dakhani Solutions. Now with both wealth and a greater level of influence offered by her board of trustees, the director was helped garner a new era of renaissance as young artists appealed to the company for the mere chance to demonstrate the fruits of their labors in a Dakhani-backed gallery.

Izanami and her team freely granted all of this and more. The libraries and museums were kept operable free of charge. The galleries were kept open, being staffed around the clock, security being provided for each piece of art and the insurance on each piece being but a drop in the bucket for clients. Despite the well-dressed partners and polished manners of its agents, the kind public face of Dakhani Solutions was but a farce. Few of the pieces kept on display were the originals, with the majority of artwork and artifacts being kept in a vault located below the company’s offices. The pieces on display in museums were high quality duplicates and likewise the libraries held well-crafted counterfeits of original works. The populace of Kel Rasha enjoyed a higher quality of life while lining the pockets of Dakhani Solutions and their backers, a condition that even outlasted the company following its closure.

Territories

Their quick rise to power took the higher end business district by storm. Within months, nearly every competitor was, wittingly or otherwise, subject to the whim of the Director and board of Trustees Away from the noise and bustle of the city, satellite offices were set up around the Archipelago, strangling that area as well. Dakhani Solutions controlled all business going in and out of the Archipelago until its dissolution in 34 ABY.
