The Governor Security Force or GSF is a military organization with ties to the Dlarit Special Operations Group formed by the Governor of Tarthos at the time, Methyas Pepoi L'eonheart. Formed as a Special Operations unit primarily tasked with the protection of the Governor of Tarthos, the GSF became a full fledged entity from the former GSF that was a guise for the House Marka Ragnos battleteam, the Night Raptors. The decision to create the entity was driven from the need for a more permanent garrison in Markosian City after the events with the Voice of Justice on Aeotheran and the resignation of then Sergeant Kano Tor Pepoi. The GSF assumed the Bird of Prey, or Raptor, as their mascot in rememberance of the men and women that honored their House before them.

History

Fabricated from the former pieces of the Night Raptors presence in Markosian, the Governor Security Force is primarily a sleeper force for the members of House Marka Ragnos. Idealized as a way to get some of the more eager Journeymen to leave Mucenic to live a more militaristic life in the big city, Quaestor Fremoc Pepoi and Aedile Methyas Pepoi L'eonheart coordinated an operation to keep the Aedile under guard of other Dark Jedi and to keep the civilian population out of danger while leaving the valuable members of the Dlarit Special Operations Group where they were needed. Composed of a 4-man squad, the GSF is led by the well trained William Corde, who is under order of the Governor of Tarthos, Tiberius Ma' Nacohh.

To the public, the shift was non-existent. The higher volume of GSF members was noticable, but the shadowy methods of the members of DSOG was never different to the populous when the "spooks" showed up. Financially and resource wise there was no-change in the upkeep of the GSF as most existing manufacturing and prior resources were kept active. Existing headquarters, garrison and equipment was granted to the members of the GSF on the pretense that it belong to Dlarit and the Special Operations Group and that prior Night Raptors could have access to these resources at any time.

Active Roster

Commander: William Corde

William Corde is a Human Male special-ops Soldier, born and raised on the planet Sartinaynian. William has known nothing else but combat since his early childhood, and as such is a natural leader. Under the Command of the GSF Commander, William was constantly ignoring orders given when a situation became too dangerous, but as such, ended up getting the job done on multiple occasions. When the GSF's former Commander was released from his duties, William was the first one in line for the promotion, and under his leadership the GSF has only gotten better. He is backed by some of the best, including his Second In-Command, Tanake Del' Morne, whos fighting spirit reminds William of his own.

Second In-Command: Tanake Del' Morne

Tanake Del' Morne is a Human Female Dark Jedi Knight, born on the planet of Coruscant. She fled her home at an early age and eventually became one with the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. After completing her training she was placed into the GSF as a liaison between them and the Brotherhood. Under the command of William Corde, she rose in the ranks to become his Second In-Command after displaying countless amounts of bravery in the face of certain death. Since her promotions, she has become one of several force users employed in the GSF.

Recon Support: Gaar Gemzi

Gaar Gemzi is a Bothan Male. He joined the GSF shortly before William Corde was promoted to Commander, and assumed the vacant roll of Recon Support. Since his joining, he has lost the nickname of Noob and earned Longsight.

Breach Expertise: Fellon Dar'mong

Fellon Dar'Mong is a Wookiee Male. Currently the longest serving member of the GSF, Fellon is an expert with Breach activity, as well as explosives and the like. Even though he is the old blood of the GSF, he has not lost touch with the younger/newer members. Nicknamed Boomer for his expertise, he is also sometimes refered too as the Old Man.

Headquarters

Located on the second level of Orian Manor’s sub-basement, the headquarters are composed of an impressive complex spanning nearly half if not all of the second level. With the primary entrances available through two service elevators and a series of stairs located at specific entrances, members of the GSF are secluded from prying eyes. With large living quarters the members of the team are well kept aside from their respective homes and quarters outside of the mansion.

Near the center of the complex are the war room and sparring chambers. The latter specifically designed for hand-to-hand training it does also support lightsaber duels with the supporting walls and floors designed from lightsaber resistant materials as well as being extremely fortified to ensure safety to those outside the chamber. The war-room is designed specifically to co-ordinate the Regular Security Forces, with the GSF more often than not operating as a Special Operations team and taking the lead in combat, the team will help direct combat or will often be directed by the Governor of Tarthos.

Located nearest the war-room and sparring chambers are the changing rooms and armory; the team’s personal weapons and armor are located here for safe keeping and due to the fact they spend most of their time here as opposed to anywhere else. With their cover story set as a personal guard to the Governor, many of the service elevators lead to the major regions of Orian Manor. Specifically one or two of the elevators lead to a garage and hanger for the team to get vehicles for their rapid deployment when necessary.

Standard Kit

Heavy Combat Armour: Raptor Assault Armour

The Raptor Assault Armor

Originally crafted and modified by Valorian under the supervision of Fremoc Pepoi, the Raptor Assault Armour is a Heavy plate armour designed primarily for front-line combat where the wearer knows they're going to be under fire. With three different variations, this original piece of Night Raptors equipment is a little more durable than the legendary Stormtrooper's armour but also sacrifices a little more mobility for this claim.

Standard is the basic model granted to most members of the Security Force. The specifications are as follows:

  • Concussion-proof Armor Plating
  • Health monitor for wearer within Visor's HUD
  • Night Vision mode for the Visor and HUD
  • Secure Communications system to other team members
  • Able to provide an extra boost to abilities if needed.

Flight Leader is the model designed for the experienced members of the Security Force and is additionally available to prior members of the Night Raptors. The specifications are as follows:

  • Additional Armor plating to withstand fragmentation blasts
  • Built-in visor magnification capable of 5 times magnification
  • Additional HUD monitoring for the Health of all members of their squad/flight

Commander is the model designed specifically for the commanding officer of the Governor Security Force, additionally prior leaders of the Night Raptors have access to this armour. It has all the main specifications from the standard armor but here are the modifications:

  • Additional Armor plating to withstand anti-personnel mines
  • Built-in visor magnification capable of 20 times magnification
  • Additional HUD monitoring for the Health of all members of their team
  • Communications contain an addition line directly to the Quaestor and Aedile

Light Combat Armor: Scout Light Armor

The Scout Light Armor

Originally developed by Kano Tor Pepoi, this legacy continues standing as a standard piece of equipment for the GSF and a favourite of former members of the Night Raptors. The Scout Light Armour provides basic coverage for the wearer and focuses on an armoured chest-plate with large plate that protects its wearer's back. Additionally there are armour plates for the legs and shoulders designed to protect all vital arteries. Traditionally the wearer utilizes regular combat boots to blend in with the armour and allow them the ability to move softly and near silenty as opposed to the clunky and rather noisy armoured boots of the Assault Armour. Underneath all the armoured plates lies a basic strengthened body suit designed to protect the wearer from various small blades although traditional blaster and swords can pierce it. Packaged with a utility belt providing seven days worth of rations and capable of carrying twelve clips of ammunition for the NR2S and NR3S, the Scout Light Armour finished the ensemble with an ear-piece complete with micro-viewscreen to grant the wearer communication with their team as well as a limited map with a Friend or Foe limited radar. The viewscreen can be turned off simply by the user tapping a button on their earpiece to give them a larger field of vision.

Primary Weapon: Dlarit NR3S Submachine Gun

NR3S

Designed by the Dlarit Corporation after a special request by former Obelisk Sergeant Methyas Pepoi L'eonheart of the Night Raptors. After carefully researching the Imperial Heavy Repeater in conjunction with an older Slugthrower of L'eonheart's, Dlarit came up with the NR3 Submachine gun, a small one-handed rifle based off the NR2 Pistols. Slightly curved in design, the NR3 fits comfortably into the curvature of the user's shoulder for more accurate shots and to reduce the "walking" that occurs with the traditional rapid-fire slugthrowers.

The NR3S takes the traditional NR3 and is used for discreet missions, with additional recoil dampeners and a sound suppressor added to the weapon it is surprisingly more accurate than its base model at the cost of a reduced magazine and slower rate of fire. A red-dot sight has been added to weapon to assist with targets at a distance.

The NR3S has been championed as a modern warfare weapon by the Night Raptors for its rather aggressive, albeit unusual, methodology in combat in a blaster-centric galaxy. Most combat armor and opponents are used to and resistant to energy based weapons while a slugthrower is extremely difficult to block by those trained force. In addition Slugthrowers were selected for their ability to be silenced for stealth based missions as opposed to that of more common weapons in the galaxy.

Weapon Details:

  • Magazine Size: 36
  • Maximum Ammunition: 180
  • Rate of Fire: High, approximately 12 rounds per second
  • Accuracy: Low-to-Moderate, Fully-Auto is Low while Burst fire is Moderate
  • Range: Moderate

Sidearm: Dlarit NR2S Pistol

NR2S

Designed by the Dlarit Corporation after a special request by former Obelisk Sergeant Methyas Pepoi L'eonheart. After carefully researching older Mandalorian slugthrowers Dlarit came up with the NR2 Combat Pistol, a weapon primarily for officers and discreet operatives in the Clan. While keeping a fairly traditional design amongst pistols in general, the NR2 is rather light compared to that of a blaster pistol due to more mechanical nature as opposed to that of an electrical based, with that said the NR2 feels like it has more solid construction compared to that of more traditional pistols.

The NR2S is a weapon designed for discreet missions being equipped with built in, stronger recoil dampeners, muzzle break, a sound suppressor and an extended clip for longer combat and stealth tactics; this comes at the expense of a heavier weapon with slightly decreased range and lack of a scope in comparison to that of the standard NR2. As with the NR3, this weapon was championed by the Night Raptors for military use due to the advantage of stealth and surprise against most enemies expecting Blasters.

Weapon Details:

  • Magazine Size: 15
  • Maximum Ammunition: 90
  • Rate of Fire: Semi-automatic, 2 rounds per second
  • Accuracy: Moderate-High
  • Range: Moderate-High
