Teikhos Seleukides is a male Zeltron Jedi of Strike-Team Ooroo in House Satele Shan in Clan Odan-Urr. Teikhos grew up on Zeltros but was displaced as a teenager. After several short-lived odd jobs in the Hapes Cluster and the galactic south, Jedi Knight Edgar Drachen brought him to New Tython to train under Clan Odan-Urr.
Character History
Early Life
Zeltros {11 ABY - 29 ABY}
Teikhos had a fairly uneventful childhood on his people's homeworld, Zeltros. By his early teens, his daily life consisted of half-hearted study for entrance to the New Republic military academy and chasing after tourist girls. This all changed in 26 ABY, during the early stages of the Yuuzhan Vong's invasion of the galaxy. The Ailon Nova Guard, feeling neglected by New Republic command and in awe of the undefeated Vong, unilaterally declared an alliance with the invaders and began sacking lightly defended planets in Republic space. They easily conquered Zeltros, and took Teikhos and his immediate family as slaves.
After two years in service to the Nova Guard, mostly as concubines, the Zeltrons had outlived their usefulness to the Ailon and were presented to the Yuuzhan Vong as gifts. They were implanted with yorik-kul; many were put to work assisting with Vongforming captured worlds, while others were simply tortured to death for sport. By the time the Vong surrendered to the Galactic Alliance in 29 ABY, Teikhos was the only surviving member of his family. Psychologically crippled, he never returned to Zeltros.
Life in the Consortium {29 ABY - 33 ABY}
Without a social support system or any marketable skills, Teikhos set off for the Hapes Consortium, which had made it through the war mostly unscathed. Using his charm and Zeltron looks, he found a niche as arm candy for various Hapan noblewomen. He used his lovers to work his way up to an increasingly cushy lifestyle, but each step forward moved him deeper into the dangerous realm of Hapan politics. After scoring the wrong people, Teikhos feared for his safety and left the Hapes Cluster.
Wanderings {33 ABY - 38 ABY}
Teikhos then followed the Rimma Trade Route south and worked a number of short-lived odd jobs across various systems. He was a cabana boy on Woostri's white-sand beaches, a bartender on a cruise ship based out of Gerrenthum, a Guilea smuggler on Cerea, and, least successfully, a bounty hunter based on Bakura.
Clan Odan-Urr {39 ABY - Present}
While chasing his first bounty, Teikhos met and befriended Jedi Knight Edgar Drachen of Clan Odan-Urr. Teikhos returned with him to Seher on New Tython, where he trained in the Force under the guidance of House Satele Shan. He excelled in many aspects of his training, including academic study and lightsaber training, but hard difficulty reconciling the restrictive serenity of the Jedi Code with his personality and life experience. During this time Teikhos took a hard line attitude towards freeing captured Sith who had been enslaved by the Seherob, and helped the Sith Lyra Sann escape without the knowledge or approval of his clan. Sann slew her master in the escape using Teikhos' lightsaber, and the Jedi helped her destroy evidence of his involvement.
Towards the end of his training, Teikhos was assigned to Strike-Team Ooroo under the command of Jafits Skrumm. House Shan's summit believe that Ooroo's focus on direct action would provide a useful outlet for Teikhos.
Physical Description
Tall and lean, with long, wavy, very dark blue hair, indigo eyes, and red skin. Typically attractive by Zeltron standards.
Teikhos takes pains to ensure an immaculate appearance at almost all times. His boots are polished, his clothing perfectly kept and coordinated, and his hair, skin, and nails are all pampered and tidy. He tends to favor shades of black, blue, violet, and gray for his clothes, and has a fondness for dramatic cloaks and militaristic jackets.
Personality
Teikhos is an unlikely Jedi. His passions give him strength and drive him to seek justice, but often cause him to lose control of a situation. He takes pride in his intelligence and does at least attempt to approach situations analytically. At times his strong convictions and outsider status cause him to adopt an ends-justify-the-means attitude beyond what his Jedi peers would consider acceptable. Teikhos has used wits, charm, and sex to provide for himself for his entire adult life, and old habits die hard. While he's taking pains to be less manipulative and hedonistic, especially when his summit is watching, Teikhos has made absolutely no effort to restrain in his flirtatious or glib manner.
