Talis is a Miralukan male who was born on Alpheridies to a Spacecraft mechanic, named Talin. Renowned for his mechanical expertise, Talin worked on all manner of spacecraft. He made his way into House Odan-Urr by chance. During a planetary summit some Jedi from House Odan-Urr required some work on their hyperdrive. While Talis' father worked on their freighters hyperdrive, Talis began playing games with one of the padawan. As things escalated, things began to get out of hand Talis ended up saving both their lives with the force to hold up a motor from falling on the two. The master seeing this, assisted Talis and the padawan. Later that night he spoke with both Talis and Talin of the opportunity that his house could provide Talis. Talin understanding enough about the force and its ways sent Talis with the two Jedi. Upon arrival he found himself among a group of strange folks. After some time he opened up to them and found that they were good people who reminded him of home. Shortly after his arrival he was officially placed under the tutelage of Revak Kur, the Commander of his new unit, Strike-Team Ooroo.

Physical Description

Talis stands around six foot tall and has an athletic build. He wears dathomiri combat robes of a dark grey color or his old phase 2 Clone Armor. His vestigial eye sockets are covered by a black strip cloth tied behind his head. His light brown hair is cut short in a military high and tight. He keeps his facial hair to a short stubbly beard. He has no tattoos and no plans on getting any. He stands with his chest out but his shoulders slumped as if his arms had heavy weights dragging them to the floor. He carries his lightsaber on the back of his belt with the emitter pointed to his right.

Character History

Early Life

Talis spent almost all of his early years with his father. Horse playing and roughhousing with the other mechanics kids in a repair shop for spacecraft. The bigger the shuttle the more fun the kids had. Talis' life was really good up until he had a chance run in with some Jedi from Odan Urr. He started his path towards becoming a jedi at a little above the normal age and spent the later half of his early life under the wing of a Zabrak named Revak Kur

Talis' First Great Jedi War

Talis spent most of the Eleventh Great Jedi War attached to Battle Team Ooroo but got lost and separated from his team. He linked up with a high valued target, Rhiaen, whose sister was missing. They ended up engaging against Conner who fled like a coward just before Darth Necren appeared. Talis spent the first half of the fight taking on Darth Necren alone where she treated him like a child who had just constructed his first lightsaber. It wasn’t until Rhiaen pulled herself together that they started to gain ground against the Sith assassin. It didn’t last long because a few minutes into the duos onslaught Talis was overtaken by his fatigue from using his rage to fuel his fighting. The fight looked like Darth Necren was going to end it as she tortured Rhiaen with lightning but Talis mustered all he had left and pushed the deranged sith assassin away from Rhiaen. She responded with trying to kill Talis only to be interrupted at the last possible second by his Master and the rest of their team. Talis, utterly spent and unable to move for several days and Rhiaen who would be lucky to keep one of her eyes, were out of the fight. It soon ended shortly after that and Talis left New Tython to find a way to cope with what he had been through during the Great Jedi War.

Eleventh Great Jedi War Until the Sacking of New Tython

Talis spent a large quantity of time in the bars around various worlds that he bounced between. Making money on the side when he could. Helping out with odd jobs here and there. He rarely stayed in one place for more than a couple days. Mainly to avoid detection and to always keep moving just to make sure that if did ever go do a job he could claim plausible deniability or just vanish and nobody would be the wiser that some drifter disappeared. He spent most of his time, when he wasn't drifting around the galaxy in a booze induced trance, studying the intricacies of female anatomy. Talis had a chance encounter with a Jedi by the name of Seraphol . Talis decided to return to New Tython to take up his responsibilities once again as a Jedi.

The knighting

Upon returning to New Tython Talis began his training where he had left off. He spent most of his days working with his Master who had switched units, and spending his time completing his final trials. During a sparring session Darth Pravus' fleet attacked New Tython. During his escape Talis found himself carrying Nathan Deciarus to the evacuation shuttle while New Tython was destroyed around him. His heroism and calm mind proved to the Jedi council what they needed to know about him. The next day they Knighted him in the mess hall of the Proxia Mustirion. Talis has had a deep rooted hatred of Darth Pravus since the destruction of New Tython.

Garza's Pathfinders

Talis' battle record and experience netted him a position upon the newly formed Garza's Pathfinders as a Pathfinder. His stealth operation capabilities would be put to the test in the coming months as he endeavored to perform his duties to the utmost of his ability and his superiors expectations.

Equipment

Endor's Revenge

It is a blacked out GX1 Civilian Short Hauler with an electronic warfare suite in the Vessel's Louge Area. It has an encrypted holonet feed, a broad spectrum receivers to intercept communications, high power signal jammers and dedicated computers utilized in breaking enemy encryption. The systems are integrated into the lounge area of the ship to dissuade any inspectors from asking any questions. The drain on the vessel requires Talis to shut down other subsystems to use it such as shutting down his shields and other redundant systems. Talis named it after his hatred over the sacking of New Tython and the destruction of Endor’s triumph.

Urban Clone Trooper Armor Phase II

Talis' Urban Clone Trooper Armor Phase II has been designed with an urban scheme camouflage. Each component of the armor has been applied with a mingled pattern of gray tones to better blend with an urban environment. Talis's Urban Clone Trooper Armor Phase II has been adjusted to minimize the sounds produced through every day movement in comparison to other Clone Trooper Armor Phase II. As a result, Talis DeMorte has sacrificed the standard protection in favor of stealth. Talis's Urban Clone Trooper Armor Phase II has been fitted with a body glove near the skin that moves moisture away from the skin and keeps Talis DeMorte dry, helping to keep him more comfortable. This glove makes it impossible to further alter this Clone Trooper Armor Phase II to provide additional protections. He carries with him three Thermal Detonators on his waist and three Denton charges across his chest with a utility belt that replaced the standard belt that comes with the armor. On his back Talis carries a Mitrinomon Z-6 Jetpack.

DUM-Series H-1

DUM-Series H-1 has had every external component painted black as night, with attempts to minimize the brightness of external lights and features. This allows this DUM-series Pit Droid to more easily blend into the shadows and darkness unseen. DUM-Series H-1 has developed a predatory nature similar to those often associated with assassin droids. As a result, DUM-Series H-1 will often approach a situation with the mindset of a hunter, and convey their findings as such. This can be disconcerting to others who are unaccustomed to DUM-Series H-1.
