Character History

Family Tree/Lineage

Sparky comes from a long line of famous Sparkys and Wagglehorns. This family tree and lineage is critical to the way the newest generation of Sparky von Wagglehorn conducts himself. Sparky very much values his family history and name, and strives constantly to live up to the high bar set by his ancestors. Truthfully, he does occasionally resent the pressure though, and this resentment can often manifest itself in the form of anti-authority type attitudes and a rebellious streak.

Sparky's grandfather, Sparky von Wagglehorn (the first or Sparky 1) was the man who brought the then unknown Wagglehorn family out of obscurity. Sparky 1 (as he'll be referenced in this article) was 16 years old when Clone Wars started. In a small combat action on Virujansi, Sparky 1's family was killed in a fierce fight between a Jedi and company of Separatist battledroids. Though Sparky 1 blamed the Separatists for this loss, he always viewed the Jedi with suspicious and mistrust following that incident. Though a boy, Sparky 1 was forced into the fighting after that, acting as a gunner on a LAAT Gunship in the Rarefied Air Cavalry through the remaining years of the war. Following the war, his actions had been recognized by the local Republic (now Imperial) governor and he was given a prime slot at one of the Imperial Academies. From there, his career skyrocketed. Sparky von Wagglehorn the 1st was extremely active in the Imperial Army and Stormtrooper corps as an aviation pilot, commander, and eventual General in the Hammer's Fist. This eldest von Wagglehorn has done his best to pass his military tradition on to his son and grandson. He frequently told the youngest Sparky war stories and has done his best to coach and mentor Sparky von Wagglehorn the 3rd into a fine soldier and recruit.

Sparky's father, Sparky von Wagglehorn (the second, or Sparky 2) was an extremely active pilot in the years following the Galactic Civil War. Entering military service a decade after the Battle of Endor, too late to serve the proper empire, Sparky 2 spent most of his career actively flying for a group called the TIE Corps, a subgroup of the Emperor's Hammer. Though Sparky 2 did not achieve the widespread acclaim that his father did, he diligently sought to instill military values in his son, and was extremely proud of Sparky 3 when he entered training on Judecca.

These two figures, Sparky's father and grandfather, were instrumental in forming Sparky into the recruit he was when he joined the DJB.

Early Life

Sparky von Wagglehorn the 3rd (son of Sparky von Wagglehorn the 2nd, who is son of Sparky von Wagglehorn) was born in 20 ABY. His parents, both avid Imperial supporters, were members of a splinter group known as the Emperor's Hammer. Sparky's father was a TIE Pilot (Missile Boats, actually), and his mother was highly involved in running a local garrison on Travnin, in the Minos Cluster. It was only natural that Sparky would grow up and pursue Imperial interests. As a boy, Sparky was highly pushed into Dark Jedi training in a group called the Dark Brotherhood. However, his force potential was lacking and he consistently sought after other activities that were more suited to his skillset. He practiced marksmanship, diplomacy, leadership, small unit tactics, starfighter tactics and numerous non force oriented skills. Once old enough, Sparky left his home on Travnin to the Imperial Academy where he, like his father before him, joined the TIE Corps as a recruit.

Emperor's Hammer

TIE Corps

In 38 ABY, Sparky joined what was left of the TIE Corps. He was, by choice, assigned to his father's old squadron and remains there as an active member. While his interests frequently keep him grounded, and on various other assignments, he maintains a rotation aboard an Emperor's Hammer ISD, and is still learning the finer tactics of Starfighter piloting. Though as of 39 ABY, Sparky's involvement in the EH is being directed towards efforts to increase their ground presence through the Hammer's Fist, an elite Stormtrooper unit. Here, he is eager to continue his Grandfather's legacy.

Dark Jedi Brotherhood

Clan Scholae Palatinae

In 38 ABY, Sparky joined quite a few of his Emperor's Hammer brothers and sisters in migrating to a powerful group of the Imperial Remnant. Starting off on the path towards the dark side, Sparky again struggled with the force. Having only a basic grasp of it, his attention again was diverted elsewhere. Though in 39 ABY, the Dark Jedi Brotherhood recognized the talents of non force users, and Sparky rapidly found a new home among the loyalist sect of the DJB. Currently, Sparky remains active in the DJB and is actively looking to increase his stature there.

Though still reasonably new to the DJB, he's already engaged in a few activities, including some recent combat actions known as Deception. He's seen action on numerous worlds within the Cocytus system as he's done his best to do his duty in aiding CSP's expansion and control in their home system.

Personality and Traits

Sparky's still young, so his personality is evolving. However, he is a very determined individual. While he somewhat resents the pressure that's on him from his father and grandfather, he is still determined to find his own brand of success in the galaxy. Generally good hearted, he is anxiously looking for opportunities to improve his current state of being and advance in the DJB. It should also be noted though, that he is extremely sarcastic. He is sarcastic frequently to the point that people do not catch the sarcasm, and often think he's being serious. Not willing to change their perception though, he generally carries on with dry sarcasm. Sparky is also a very laid back individual, generally open to hearing opposing views, and is usually understanding of why people operate the way they do. It takes a lot to "get his goat" so to speak.
