NV1 (Initiate) is the first rank in the Dark Brotherhood; the introductory rank for all new incoming members.
It is part of the Novitiate class.
There are only two requirements for promotion from this rank to Apprentice:
- Validation of your e-mail address
- Completion of the Trial of Identity
