The Magnus Kaerner was an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer which served as the flagship of Tarentum's Task Force Piranha. The ship was acquired by Tarentum in 22 ABY when it reorganized its Navy after the Battle of Antei. The ship was named after Magnus Kaerner, the first Quaestor of House Tarentum.

Vessel Info

Since the initial reorganization of the Navy in 22 ABY, the complement assigned to Task Force Piranha with the Kaerner had gone through change, evolution, destruction and rebirth, but the M.K. was able to stand firm in its vigilance and defense over the House it serves. The M.K. was an aging Imperial-class Type II Star Destroyer, but had been kept in pristine condition by its crew on board, as well as those maintenance engineers and technicians that oversee its care. The Magnus Kaerner serves as the flagship of Task Force Piranha. The M.K.'s ability to house fighters also made it the central carrier for the house, augmented in its role by the Doomsday.
