" Us Mandalorians are a free people. Let us show you how free people fight! "
― Kalon during the Battle of Mandalore.

Kalon Tsucyra Entar is currently a Mercenary within House Galeres and Clan Arcona ever since he severed his own connection to The Force. He is also a former Mandalorian Protector and the current Helmsman of the AGV Nighthawk.

Character History

Birth and Early Life

Kalon was born in 11 ABY on the world known as Mandalore. His mother and father were both warriors in Clan Beviin, a well respected Mandalorian clan. He was born the eldest of what would be two more brothers, Thorzan and Sargus Dane Beviin, who would also rise to prominence within the Clan.

As a youth, Kalon was a quiet and yet a capable warrior, learning much more quickly than most the ways of combat and strategy. His potential was noticed by his own parents and Clan leader on numerous occasions and a such he was tasked with many minor but important jobs to help Beviin on a daily basis. He was officially recognized as a Mandalorian warrior of Beviin at the age of fifteen (a year earlier than what is usually expected) and in the process he was gifted one of his families traditional sets of armour.

Battle of Mandalore

In 29 ABY, Mandalore came under attack by the forces of the Yuuzhan Vong during the war. This came about due to the Mandalorians serving as double agents for the New Republic, pretending to work as hired guns for the Vong only to obtain vital information to be passed along to the Republic forces. After discovering this 'betrayal', the Vong set their sites on the Mandalorian homeworld as both an act of revenge but also to demonstrate what would happen to those who stood defiant against the dreaded Vong war machine.

Kalon was eighteen years of age at the time and had been recruited into the ranks of the famed Mandalorian Protectors just a year before, after his recognition and potential made itself known to the higher members of Mando society. When the Vong began the bombardment the warrior managed to find his way to one of the countless underground tunnels that had been constructed for such a purpose. These tunnels would also be used to combat the Vong ground forces, the hit and run tactic used for this purpose helped the natives increase casulties amongst the invaders. Kalon managed to fight his way from one side of the planet to the other during the course of the battle, mainly by rallying groups of regular Mandalorian troops or joining up with the Protectors and other Supercommandos. Kalon was also present at the conflict located in the small Keldabe suburb of Bralsin where the natives managed to annihilate a one-thousand strong Yuuzhan Vong attack force, despite the fact that the defenses of the settlement were very poor from the beginning.

By the time the conflict came to a close and the Vong were driven back, Kalon had become an experienced warrior who knew how to kill his enemies in a variety of ways. He stayed with the Protectors after the battle, leaving his homeworld for the first time and heading to the strange and deadly galaxy that he would later on find very comfortable. Kalon was also present at the battles of Tholatin and Caluula Station. The latter being considered by the Warrior to be the most intense conflict he ever participated in, only narrowly managing to get away from the space station before it exploded.

-In Progress-

The Brotherhood

Kalon was accepted into the Brotherhood and was deeply dedicated to his studies, as he progressed in his training he came to respect every member within his House and Clan Arcona as a whole. He always looked for ways to prove himself among his peers and was always reliant on the code of honour, easily aggrivated if anyone was to break the code, even if they knew it or not. It was later on that year that Kalon left the House for some unknown reason, returning many months later to continue his training under the guidance of his Master. Kalon kept quiet during the Tenth Great Jedi War due to slight preoccupations regarding his studies. Shortly after the war Kalon joined Void Squadron due to his fascination and eagerness of piloting star fighters.

During the outbreak of the family feud within Arcona, Kalon sided with his master and joined the Entars against both the Erinos and D'tana. Near to the end of the feud Kalon and Sanguinius were observing a battle upon a holovid. This was when they were ambushed by several Erinos thugs which the pair easily managed to incapacitate. Kalon turned to face his master and was stabbed through the chest by a lightsaber, it narrowly missed his vital organs but still did large damage to the Guardian. As Sang battled the assaliant Kalon felt himself being dragged across the ground. He opened his eyes to see Socorra who managed to take him to the nearest med-station. Kalon would remain there unconscious for several days, and shortly after he recovered he was promoted to Jedi Hunter and due to Teroch being reassigned to Soulfire he was also appointed Commander of Void Squadron.

After recruiting several members into the Squadron and getting them all battle ready. Kalon was deemed ready to be knighted and became a full Dark Jedi Knight. The young Mandalorian then spend many weeks after the knighthood teaching himself new combat forms, both with and without weapons. Though this began to pull his attention away from Void Squadron. Kalon realized that he had to choose, would he pass on the mantle of Commander to another so he could continue with his slow ascension of power? Or would he keep his position but place all his plans on hold indefinitely? Kalon chose to resign as Sith Commander of Void Squadron, though he chose to stay with the Squadron and became an Element Leader of Bet Flight.

Kalon eventually set out back towards the planet Mandalore to visit his old Clan and see if he could offer any assistance. Being welcomed back as a hero of the Clan, he set to work training new recruits and rebuild damaged structures as Beviin had been hit by a large force of Yuuzhan Vong during the war and hadn't completely finished rebuilding. His return was met with hostility by some warriors who did not consider him one of them anymore as he had shifted his loyalty more towards Arcona, though his contribution greatly helped Beviin get back on its feet. Once he felt that he had done enough for his former Clan, Kalon traveled back towards the Dajorra System. Once he arrived, the young warrior boarded the NSD Invicta in order to maintain both his studies in the force being active with Void Squadron.

Horizon and Beyond

It was in his quarters upon the NSD Invicta that Kalon began feeling the first symptoms of a strange virus that was sweeping through the Brotherhood known only as the Horizon Plague. He quickly discovered that the ship was in lockdown and no one could leave or enter. Determined, the Dark Jedi got to his Stealth X and managed to escape, in the process injuring several members of the Arcona Navy Corps. Upon his escape he was contacted by Celevon Edraven who was in a similar predicament and he set a location for where the two Arconans would meet. Kalon and Celevon met at the Iziz hangar bay on the planet of Onderon, they quickly decided that they should head to New Tython on Celevon's ship the Shrouded Blade after viewing a holo-transmission from a Jedi Knight called Alexander DelGotto urging them to do so. Leaving his Stealth X on Onderon, they headed towards the edge of the Japrael sector before initiating there Hyperdrive, though not before being ambushed by several Pirate-affiliated TIE interceptors. After manning the main gun and destroying the interceptors the Shrouded Blade initiated its hyperdrive and slowly the duo came closer to making sense of the mess they had found themselves in the middle of. After several weeks of dodging the non-infected who wanted to put them into quarantine, a notice went out to tell everyone who had escaped that a cure had been developed. Only after hearing of this from several sources did they finally return to their respective areas of abode, Kalon and Celevon returning to Arconan space together, their ships mere feet from the other, closer than was deemed ‘safe’.

After Horizon the remaining forces of Zoraan attacked the planets in the Jusadih System. These planets though belonged to House Plagueis and a mini skirmish started to fend off the invaders, though it appeared Plagueis could not handle on its own and so Arcona decided to intervene. Along with the rest of the Battleteam Spectre Cell, Kalon was originally supposed to be part of a recon mission on Kapsina. Though at the last minute their objective was changed and so the shuttle with the team on board changed course for the NSD Ascendancy, which was being boarded by Zoraan's forces. Splitting up into to groups, Spectre Cell began to help clear out the ship with the assistance of other teams and not to mention the Plagueian crew on board. Once there assistance was no longer needed, Kalon and his team went back into the shuttle and left for the planet to carry out their original mission.

Battle for Krayiss II

With the announcement of the Brotherhood-wide operation known as the Dark Crusade (which involved winning planets from the grasp of the One Sith) Spectre Cell was ordered to gather on the vessel BAC Darkest Night for the original briefing of the first planet that Arcona would attack. The first planet to be targeted was Krayiss II, a lifeless and barren world which was home to a powerful library-temple filled with ancient Sith secrets. However, the temple was also guarded bt an army of Sith spirits who longed to keep their lifes work safe from treasure hunters, glory seekers and even power-hungry Sith. When a victim is captured by the Sith spirits they would also be turned to into ghastly guards of the temple, therefore making the structure a very dangerous place and yet key to the victory on Krayiss II.

During the skirmish on and above the planet Kalon participated in several operations with his battleteam. Mainly this involved reconnaissance on the One Sith outposts and main landing locations. Any information gained from the mission (such as the number of enemies, equipment used, troop deployement and so on) would be directed to the Galerian Summit and then passed further up until it reached the Consul, thereby increasing the importance of the operation. Missions that Kalon partook in which did not involve Spectre Cell was mainly to do with aerial assualt in an X-Wing. This was due to Kalon's experience with starfighters and the need of pilots during the battle, as Galeres did not have a Squadron made up of Force-users like Qel-Droma's Void. For bombing missions the Mandalorian hooked up with Dark Rain Squadron aboard the Darkest Night, flying the heavy BTL-S8 K-Wing assualt starfighter. Flying in a larger ship with three other people was a huge change for the Sith Warrior, but not necessarily a negative one.

Despite Arcona's contribution to the victory on Krayiss II, it was decided by the Dark Council that House Taldryan would be awarded the right to govern the planet and include it as a perminant asset to the House. Aggrivated but even more determined, Kalon prepared for the next planet where he was sure Arcona would win.

Battle for Rhelg

Unlike Krayiss II which was a hot, dusty and barren planet, Rhelg was a freezing, snow-covered world where daggers of rock and ice burst from the ground for as far as the eye could see. Navigating through the planet to reach objectives would be almost impossible without sturdy instruments or spotters from starfighters above. As the Arconan fleet entered the system, they were immediatly set upon by the waiting One Sith. A large space battle ensured, with Kalon scrambling to the nearest starfighter to assist in the fight. Nearer to the end of the conflict Kalon's fighter suffered an engine malfunction when an enemy fighter managed to hit it with turret fire. Despite the damage done to his starfighter, the Mandalorian managed to land the craft safely aboard the Darkest Night and the X-Wing was swiftly repaired and pressed back into service thereafter.

After this event in space and as the Arconan forces prepared to drop their troops onto Rhelg, Kalon approached his Sergeant Etah d'Tana, asking if he could be transfered to the lightsaber specialized Dark Forge which was another team within House Galeres. This choice came to Kalon due to the nature of Spectre Cell's assignments. He realized that he could not appreciate battle whilst participating in observation missions and such operations where avoiding combat is the best idea. With Dark Forge Kalon would be free to take the fight to the enemy and not 'waste his talents'. Reluctantly, Etah agreed to the Mandalorian's request and soon he found himself in a new team with new people.

The battle for Rhelg on the ground was rather complicated, except for coming to the aid of pinned down AAF and attacking dug in One Sith, Kalon did not do that much. This was mostly due to the fact that the harsh terrain on the planet's surface made even the simplest operation extremly hazardous and time-consuming. This did not stop Kalon from feeling proud when Arcona was given the right to govern Rhelg upon the Clans victory against the One Sith.

After this conflict, the Dark Council decided to put a hold on the crusade due to the upcoming Independence Games.

Personality and Traits

Physical

Standing at 2.01 metres and weighing an average 89 kilograms, Kalon stands taller than most other humans. His size seems larger still when dressed in the Mandalorian Protector armour he built himself. His dark brown hair remains short and partially spiked upon his head, showing that he at least takes the time make sure it is in decent order. His iris’s glow a strong crimson red, a result from his absorption of the Force. A deep scar runs down the right side of his face, starting at his forehead and running down across his eye before gradually stopping halfway along his cheek. The mark is deep, having evidently been caused with a type of sword. These features along with his strong jaw line and usually passive facial expression make him a daunting figure, and a seasoned warrior in looks as well as in combat.

His EE-3 carbine rifle would hang from his waist, thanks to a loose shoulder strap with fresh blaster cells along it. At his belt his lightsaber would dangle upon the right side, his holstered Mandalorian beskad upon the left side. His helmet would be under his left armpit, the rangefinder that came standard with all the helmets had been replaced with an external communication device.

Attire

Kalon during his time with Void Squadron.

Kalon can usually be found in his Mandalorian Assualt Armour or his designated robe. The armour was developed by himself upon his induction into Clan Beviin and has been well equipped with some of the latest technology avaliable on the market, such as as trackers, adjustable thermal vision and an installed multi-layer communications system. During his time behind the cockpit, Kalon can be found in the black flight suit and accompanying helmet and life support system he wore during his service in Void Squadron, whilst he wears the standard uniform expected of him when in the Helmsman's chair aboard the AGV Nighthawk.

Personality

Kalon is a very pent up individual. Whilst any attempt to converse with him will usually end negatively, it is through consistent pestering that he will eventually open up to someone, albeit over a very long stretch of time. Although outwardly portrayed as a loner who wants nothing to do with anyone else, the Mandalorian does care for the people he fights along side and has on more than one occasion risked his own life for their safety. In this respect, some find his presence on the battlefield a comfort whereas he is largely avoided when there is no skirmish to be fought.

Despite this, Kalon has bonded with a few members of the Brotherhood and his shown to be a warm, cheerful character at times when in their presence. He can also come across as quite a rebellious figure under an authority he does not respect, such as the shenanigans he peforms whilst aboard the AGV Nighthawk or on any Arconan world.

Companions

Mirdala

After placing first at the end of the Independence Games and representing his Clan in the process, Kalon was awarded one of Arcona's prestigious Cythrauls for his work and determination in the face of unlikely odds. A Cythraul is a semi-sentient canine mammal which originated (and can only be found) on the planet Millinar, in the Hapes Cluster. They are usually gifted only to prominent Arconans who have managed to achieve something unique during their time in the Shadow Clan and as such it is considered an extreme honour to be chosen to bond with one.

When it came to choosing his Cythraul it turned out that the first one Kalon saw was the one he wanted. The way she stood her ground and waited silently for the Mandalorian to approach or react impressed him, as the others he had seen whilst still a journeyman had been aggressive to absolutely everyone, all the time. Kalon gave her the name Mirdala (which means 'Clever' in Mando'a) due to her rather strategic form of behaviour which was odd for such a young creature.

Mirdala is perhaps the most patient of Arcona's Cythrauls. Whilst acting aggresively to every person she encounters except for her master, Mirdala will never attack unless ordered to do so, or if the life of Kalon is threatened through physical violence. She will never leave her master's side, loyal to him and him alone. Their eyes both burn the crimson red, hinting to perhaps a deeper connection then what is outwardly obvious.

Family

Although Mandalorian Clans are treated like large family groups and with Kalon's allegiance to the Entars, his connections are many and stretched out all across the galaxy. However, several of Kalon's blood relatives have either joined or encountered the Dark Jedi Brotherhood in their travels, and he considers these to be his closest family members.

Sargus Dane Beviin

Sargus (born 13 ABY), is one of Kalon's two brothers. He ran into Kalon during the Dark Crusade on Bhargebba where he had aligned himself temporarily with the One Sith and again on Ziost, however his abilities as a force-user are significantly weaker than his kin. As a result, Sargus likes to use his cunning to outsmart an opponent, his confidence even when outnumbered and outskilled help to give an illusion of superiority he can exploit his attacker with.

Currently Sargus has returned to Mandalore to assist in his Clan's reconstruction efforts that are still ongoing after the Battle of Mandalore in 29 ABY.

Thorzan Dane Beviin

Kalon's youngest brother (born 15 ABY), Thorzan initially joined Arcona under Kalon's suggestion after his force-sensitivity was discovered and as a result began to train under his eldest sibling. Although several incidents have elongated the duration of his training, Thorzan can still be found within Arconan space. More than likely in the sparring rooms or at the cantina in Kurs'kranak.

Tracinya Dane Beviin

Born in 25 ABY, Tracinya is Kalon's only child. Although the details of her mother and the situation involving her birth are unclear, Kalon will protect his daughter above all other priorities. For her safety she remains on Mandalore with her Clan-kin, rarely reuniting with Kalon in Brotherhood space, although it has happened on several occasions. As of yet she has shown little force-sensitivity, another reason why Kalon is unwilling to get her caught up in Brotherhood affairs.
