The featured articles of the wiki are articles that represent the best DJBWiki has to offer. This is not a way to showcase the articles of your favorite characters, spaceships, or the like.

So just what makes a featured article? Well, we've prepared a list just in case someone should ask that, and it is as follows.

An article must…

  1. …be well written and detailed
  2. …be unbiased, non-point of view
  3. …not be the object of any ongoing edit wars
  4. …not be tagged with any sort of improvement tags (i.e. more sources, expand, etc)
  5. …have a succinct proper lead that can be used for the front page featured box
  6. …have a reasonable amount of red links; use common sense
  7. …have a complete, detailed biography if it's a character article
  8. …not have been previously featured

For more information on what makes a featured article, see Wikipedia:What is a featured article.

How to nominate:

  1. First, nominate an article you find is worthy of featured status, putting it at the bottom of the list below; see criteria above.
  2. Others will object to the nomination if they disagree that the article is good enough; they will then supply reasons for doing so, and ways to improve the article (errors, style, organization, images, notability, sources).
  3. Supporters adjust the article until the objectors (with reasonable objections) are satisfied.
  4. The article is placed on the featured article list and added to the front page queue.
  5. Also, if, at least a week after the article's nomination, that article has 5 supports and no objections, it will be added the queue, and will be officially known as a "featured article".

How to vote:

  1. Before doing anything, be sure to read the article completely, keeping a sharp eye out for mistakes.
  2. Afterwards, compare the article to the criteria listed above, and then either support or object the article's nomination.
    1. If you object, please supply concrete reasons for doing so, and how it can be improved.
  3. As stated above, any objections will be looked upon by the nominator, supporters, and anyone willing to improve the article, and action will be taken to please the objectors.
  4. Once all objectors' complaints have been solved (or the article has 5 supports and no objections after at least a week), the article will be added to the queue and be officially known as a "featured article".

Also remember to add {{nominated}} at the top of the article you are nominating.

Every month the next article in the queue will be highlighted on the Main Page as featured, marked with the {{featured}} template and removed from the list of nominations. The beginning of the article then appears on the Main Page via the {{featured article}} template. Nominees that are inactive for a month will be eliminated from the nominations list.

Featured article nominations

List an article and leave your signature for the nomination(s) - additional comments beyond support or object (unless you have concrete reasons as to why you object) are not required and will be deleted.

Alaris Jinn

Nominated by: --Anubis 20:19, 9 November 2008 (MST)

Support - Good article. My only possible objection would be that it seems a little cluttered and in-your-face, but that's a stylistic difference more than anything. Good pictures and detail, no real problems I can identify. ~ Legorii 20:26, 9 November 2008 (MST)

Weak Object - I dunno, something's missing in my opinion. The images could use work along with formatting. Content is good though. ~ Macron 12:33, 11 November 2008 (EST)

Object - One section has "coming soon", which means this article isn't complete. I also think a couple more images are needed in the last half of the article to break up all the text--Halcyon 18:23, 22 November 2008 (MST)

Weak Support I think the article is now complete, but the section "The Final Mark" is a story. Try to refrain from stories (i.e. dialogue and tons of descriptions) and make it more of an informational article. --RevengeX Palpatine 14:18, 24 December 2008 (MST)

Cethgus Kuga

Nominated by: --Archangel 17:37, 31 January 2008 (CET)

Support - Looks good from my point of view. --Anubis 09:20, 1 January 2009 (MST)

Support - Your page looks great. I enjoyed it very much seeing how your character as grown though the years. --Kara 12:20, 09 January 2009 (pst)

Support Lots of information, lots to read and brings a good view of Cethgus's history. Nicely done :-) --User:Cassandra El'sin 20:45, 09 January 2009 (gmt)

Strong Object - Don't get me wrong, it's a legitimate method of writing to make grammatical errors while writing to focus the reader; this article, however, is rife with very basic errors - tenses switch rapidly and without provocation, wrong words used, spelling errors. And on top of all that, these entries are supposed to be encyclopedic in nature. This entire thing reads like a short story, albeit a bad short. --Oberst 16:01, 9 January 2009 (MST)

Object - I'm going to have to agree that while it's filled with content, it's rather shoddy in terms of structure and format. There are lots of mechanical errors that bring down the quality, and when I read it, I expect more of a technical outlook of the character's history and not just a story. There is also a lack of links to other DJBWiki or Wookieepedia pages, so a lot of the information, while it may have happened, seems disconnected from the rest of the Brotherhood or even the character's affiliated clans. I'd say do a lot of cleaning and sprucing up before getting this article featured. --Ronovi Tavisaen, 16:34, 9 January 2009 (MST)

Object - Can't be bothered re-adding reasons, so: this article is balls. Don't be stupid. - Xayun

Support - I enjoyed read your page and see how your character develops.--Maol Nor Lexu 11.27AM, 12 January 2009 (GMT)

Object - Article needs a good spellcheck. --Vladek 08:46, 16 January 2009 (MST)

Weak Support - The article is pretty good. Spelling errors and choppy sentences are scattered throughout, but that is nothing that a spell check and re-read won't fix. Overall, I like it. Talos Annedu 13:43, 18 January 2009 (MST)
