During the Eighth Great Jedi War Tak showed incredible strategic ingenuity from his flagship, the Venator-Class Star Destroyer Katarn, and when former High Admiral Venix Soyak was killed, Tak was promoted to High Admiral and given command of the Navy. He held this position for a number of years, until being killed during the Iron Legion invasion of Karufr.
