He was raised in nobility, living in his family home, Hejaran Castle. He took an early interest in the saber rakes, Tapani noble youths that dueled with lightfoils. After obtaining a lightfoil of his own, he soon joined the ranks of the saber rakes. He was never trained in dueling but found that he was naturally faster and more agile than the others. Even after lightfoils were banned because of the rise of young nobles needing prosthetics, he continued to be part of this now secret group. The ship was attacked by pirates just after leaving the system. The pirate captain found nothing aboard the vessel interesting so he ordered it, and its passengers, destroyed. Tollo stepped forward and challenged the captain to a duel. The deal was set; if the captain wins, he continues as planned, if Tollo wins, they will be set free. Tollo activated his lightfoil and quickly had the captain on the ground. Instead of killing him, he offered him another deal; allow him to join the crew. The captain agreed and Tollo began his life as a pirate. <br /> <br /> <br /> He spent the next 2 years raiding ships and honing his sword skills. Soon after he turned eighteen, the pirates were captured by the new republic. There was a Jedi aboard the ship that captured them and he instantly sensed the Force in the boy.
