Physiology

Physical Description
Of average height, Tirna possesses an incredibly slender build, small of bone and breast. Her features are finely wrought, delicate and regal in their shaping. Her features seem ageless, her face framed by an uneven mess of white hair that almost floats with a life of its own. Her eyes are gray, tinged with a hint of strange amethyst, their sharpness belying the softer aspects of her face with a pained kind of knowledge and experience that gives her a far older look. Though slender, her muscles are firmly defined through her body, toned from years of physical activity, but trim and geared more toward agility and speed than brute force.

Dark Side Syndrome
Originally Tirna's hair was solid black. When an ancestral spirit came to her through the Force he turned the lock of hair at her left temple white with his touch. As Tirna became steeped deeper in the mysteries of the Force and of the Dark Side her hair gradually became fully white as she mastered the higher principles as a Dark Side Adept.

Outfits

Basic Clothing
Typically Tirna can be seen wearing the simple black hooded cloak of a Dark Jedi, clasped shut with the talisman of her Order. Beneath the robes she wears simple black clothing, the shirt sleeveless and knit of a soft, but strangely durable fabric that hugs her frame without hindering movement. Her pants are made of an equally sturdy fabric that seems to flow with her movements, just loose enough to allow complete freedom of movement without allowing them to be snagged, a simple black belt with a silver buckle cinching them around her waist. Her boots are made of sturdy hide, treated to be water-proof and polished to a brilliant shine often associated with military service. The toes are reinforced with metal plating, the soles thick and textured to provide excellent traction.

Weapons

Black Quarterstaff
Smooth pure black onyx twists and braids within itself from the chaotic throes of the stave's head, surrounding a jewel of purple ice, each beam of light that managed to penetrate the lawless labyrinth exploding into a magnified and prismatic burst of color. From the mesmerizing head of the staff the onyx fuses into smooth silken form, sleek and lethal as it flows down to form an entity of nearly two meters in height. Coldly it gleams, beckoning unwary opponents to their eternal doom.

Throwing Daggers
Found nested within Tirna's sleek boots, these twin daggers are deceivingly simple on the exterior. Their hilts are simple black, a silver line coiling in a downwards spiral to the top of the deadly blade. Carefully balanced these daggers have seen many battles, their well polished exterior still betraying signs of wear in the form of nicks and scratches that simply could not be polished away. Lastly, though unknown to most, the blades have been carefully coated with an extremely rare and fast-acting narcotic that often causes hallucinations upon entering the victims' bloodstream.

Lightsaber
Sleek and slender, made from mainly silver components, this standard lightsaber gleams and glitters with every light that touches it. Hints of black can be found here and there, though they are few and far between. The emitter end can be often seen with a deadly silver blade announcing its presence just prior to its introduction.

Early Life
Youngest daughter of the Tetan Nobility, Tirna was never slated to rule the Empress Teta system, and as such grew up with little in way of responsibility. She was taught proper court mannerisms and etiquette as was due and proper for her station, but was more often than not merely a show piece during festivals and official business, a silent observer to all that happened around her and for the most part ignored by her elder siblings.

Left to her own devices Tirna became quite bookish, often disappearing for long stretches to the large libraries her rank afforded her. No topic was too inane or advanced. The Tetan Princess devoured them all with a hunger long abandoned by her elder sisters, all too often consumed with their own vanity to care about the things their younger sister had to share with them.

Tirna was fortunate enough to find a kindred spirit in one of her uncles, who found her hunger for knowledge endearing, himself a scholar. He supplied her with further knowledge in the ways of the world, teaching her of politics, economics, social studies, and as she grew older finding her teachers to guide her in the more physical aspects of knowledge, arranging for a variety of instructors to guide her in martial arts and weapon usage.

All seemed quiet and normal in the life of this young Tetan noble.

Introduction to the Force
At the tender age of fourteen Tirna was introduced to the mysteries and lore that are the Force. Awoken from a deep and dreamless sleep by a mysterious voice, Tirna followed it as it led, her young curiosity and craving for knowledge outweighing any common sense or fear the young Tetan might have had. The voice led her down unfamiliar and disused corridors into a room that was small, but held a number of dusty tomes and strange artifacts, long forgotten by the society above.

It was in this room that Tirna got her first glimpse of the owner of the voice. The owner appeared to be a young man somewhere in his late twenties or perhaps early thirties. Curiosity turned to panic as she got her first glimpse of what was apparently a ghost, for his form seemed to glow with a semi-transparency that one might associate with a holo-projection.

Even as she turned to flee, however, the voice stopped her, his Will forcing itself upon her own and ceasing her steps.

''"You look so much like her."''

Curiosity once again rose in the teenager, and she slowly turned about to face the dark-haired and -eyed ghost once again, her black hair swirling loosely about her nightgowned form. The query was inevitable, and even as she asked the question the ghost's lips quirked in a mysterious grin. ''Her'' turned out to be his cousin, the name of whom he would not reveal to the young Tirna. As for his name, he asked her to merely call him ''Grandfather'' and that in time he would reveal his true name -- and indeed her true heritage -- to her.

He had reached out to run his fingers through Tirna's loose locks at that point, turning a single lock of hair at Tirna's left temple pure white, the alabaster in sharp contrast to her otherwise sable tresses. He played upon her love of lore and knowledge and began guiding her through several of the dusty tomes that lined the room, seeming every bit the caring mentor as he began to instruct her in the lost arts of the Krath.

It was a night that would change Tirna's life forever.

Lost Art of the Krath
For two years Tirna would study under this mysterious mentor known only to her as Grandfather. The white lock of hair became the brief subject of much debate and curiosity, only to taper off as more interesting subjects came up in Court, simply becoming another mystery surrounding this quiet, mysterious, but otherwise unremarkable member of the Tetan line.

During the day Tirna continued her instructions under the tutelage of her benevolent Uncle, continuing to pursue her academic and physical studies to their fullest, as during the night Grandfather showed her mysteries she had never dreamed of and strange powers that she had never seen until thus shown. It captivated her, these strange abilities, and she began down the path of the Dark Side unwittingly, her curiosity drawing her like a moth to the flame.

Just as there were a number of tomes of lore within the lost library, there were also a number of artifacts. A pair of swords, several amulets, and a cloak bearing a strange talisman for it's clasp. There was even a strange, pyramid-shaped object, covered in runes and strange symbols that the young, would-be Krath could not decipher.

''"All in good time,"'' was all her Grandfather would tell her.

Exile
Time, however, was not something Tirna had. Somehow her eldest sister -- Elsha -- discovered what Tirna was up to during her nightly outings, letting word slip to the wrong party. Unbeknownst to Tirna, knowledge of the lost lore had been forbidden near aeons past and was punishable by one means: death.

Word of this turn of events got back to the now sixteen-year-old Tirna, who quickly procured a large satchel which she filled with all the tomes and artifacts her Grandfather had led her to, cushioning them only with a spare change of the simple clothing she kept on hand for more active tasks and the black cloak with its strange talisman, fleeing to her Uncle's.

Her uncle managed to secure her transport out of the system as a near stowaway aboard a cargo vessel, saving her life, but effectively exiling the now former Tetan noble in the process. Left stranded and nearly penniless on a strange planet after the cargo ship delivered its load, the young woman was forced to put her knowledge and skills to work in the real world for the first time, in the end forced to use her body to gain a place to sleep and a job that would keep said roof over her head.

The next six months were a near blur for Tirna, so busy keeping the basic creature comforts within her grasp that all time to study the lore for which she had been exiled became non-existent. It was not until her Uncle was able to find her again and began to provide her some measure of financial security that once again Tirna was able to turn her eyes to the forgotten tomes that had gotten her here in the first place.

Thirst for Guidance
Without the spirit of her Grandfather to guide her in understanding the lore which she possessed, Tirna began to search for some other guidance to aide her in her quest for further knowledge. There were whispered rumors of an organization full of Force seekers, such as herself, and the young woman began to pursue them with all the wits and resources at her disposal.

Ironically, after a year and a half, it was not she who found them, but rather they who found her. A young, but intense individual by the name of J'Lek Arcanos approached her after hours in the bar she was currently employed in. He told her of the Dark Brotherhood, a group of like-minded individuals seeking knowledge and power through the Force, just as she was.

His words were smooth and precise and his intense gaze bespoke of the sort of power and knowledge she was seeking. Without much thought she found herself agreeing to go with him, and to become his student. It did not take her long to gather her things -- she had still only what little she had brought with her from Empress Teta -- and they departed for Eos in the blackest part of the night.

Physical Description
Of average height, Tirna possesses an incredibly slender build, small of bone and breast. Her features are finely wrought, delicate and regal in their shaping. Her features seem ageless, her face framed by an uneven mess of white hair that almost floats with a life of its own. Her eyes are gray, tinged with a hint of strange amethyst, their sharpness belying the softer aspects of her face with a pained kind of knowledge and experience that gives her a far older look. Though slender, her muscles are firmly defined through her body, toned from years of physical activity, but trim and geared more toward agility and speed than brute force.

Dark Side Syndrome
Originally Tirna's hair was solid black. When an ancestral spirit came to her through the Force he turned the lock of hair at her left temple white with his touch. As Tirna became steeped deeper in the mysteries of the Force and of the Dark Side her hair gradually became fully white as she mastered the higher principles as a Dark Side Adept.

Outfits

Basic Clothing
Typically Tirna can be seen wearing the simple black hooded cloak of a Dark Jedi, clasped shut with the talisman of her Order. Beneath the robes she wears simple black clothing, the shirt sleeveless and knit of a soft, but strangely durable fabric that hugs her frame without hindering movement. Her pants are made of an equally sturdy fabric that seems to flow with her movements, just loose enough to allow complete freedom of movement without allowing them to be snagged, a simple black belt with a silver buckle cinching them around her waist. Her boots are made of sturdy hide, treated to be water-proof and polished to a brilliant shine often associated with military service. The toes are reinforced with metal plating, the soles thick and textured to provide excellent traction.

Weapons

Black Quarterstaff
Smooth pure black onyx twists and braids within itself from the chaotic throes of the stave's head, surrounding a jewel of purple ice, each beam of light that managed to penetrate the lawless labyrinth exploding into a magnified and prismatic burst of color. From the mesmerizing head of the staff the onyx fuses into smooth silken form, sleek and lethal as it flows down to form an entity of nearly two meters in height. Coldly it gleams, beckoning unwary opponents to their eternal doom.

Throwing Daggers
Found nested within Tirna's sleek boots, these twin daggers are deceivingly simple on the exterior. Their hilts are simple black, a silver line coiling in a downwards spiral to the top of the deadly blade. Carefully balanced these daggers have seen many battles, their well polished exterior still betraying signs of wear in the form of nicks and scratches that simply could not be polished away. Lastly, though unknown to most, the blades have been carefully coated with an extremely rare and fast-acting narcotic that often causes hallucinations upon entering the victims' bloodstream.

Lightsaber
Sleek and slender, made from mainly silver components, this standard lightsaber gleams and glitters with every light that touches it. Hints of black can be found here and there, though they are few and far between. The emitter end can be often seen with a deadly silver blade announcing its presence just prior to its introduction.

Early Life
Youngest daughter of the Tetan Nobility, Tirna was never slated to rule the Empress Teta system, and as such grew up with little in way of responsibility. She was taught proper court mannerisms and etiquette as was due and proper for her station, but was more often than not merely a show piece during festivals and official business, a silent observer to all that happened around her and for the most part ignored by her elder siblings.

Left to her own devices Tirna became quite bookish, often disappearing for long stretches to the large libraries her rank afforded her. No topic was too inane or advanced. The Tetan Princess devoured them all with a hunger long abandoned by her elder sisters, all too often consumed with their own vanity to care about the things their younger sister had to share with them.

Tirna was fortunate enough to find a kindred spirit in one of her uncles, who found her hunger for knowledge endearing, himself a scholar. He supplied her with further knowledge in the ways of the world, teaching her of politics, economics, social studies, and as she grew older finding her teachers to guide her in the more physical aspects of knowledge, arranging for a variety of instructors to guide her in martial arts and weapon usage.

All seemed quiet and normal in the life of this young Tetan noble.

Introduction to the Force
At the tender age of fourteen Tirna was introduced to the mysteries and lore that are the Force. Awoken from a deep and dreamless sleep by a mysterious voice, Tirna followed it as it led, her young curiosity and craving for knowledge outweighing any common sense or fear the young Tetan might have had. The voice led her down unfamiliar and disused corridors into a room that was small, but held a number of dusty tomes and strange artifacts, long forgotten by the society above.

It was in this room that Tirna got her first glimpse of the owner of the voice. The owner appeared to be a young man somewhere in his late twenties or perhaps early thirties. Curiosity turned to panic as she got her first glimpse of what was apparently a ghost, for his form seemed to glow with a semi-transparency that one might associate with a holo-projection.

Even as she turned to flee, however, the voice stopped her, his Will forcing itself upon her own and ceasing her steps.

''"You look so much like her."''

Curiosity once again rose in the teenager, and she slowly turned about to face the dark-haired and -eyed ghost once again, her black hair swirling loosely about her nightgowned form. The query was inevitable, and even as she asked the question the ghost's lips quirked in a mysterious grin. ''Her'' turned out to be his cousin, the name of whom he would not reveal to the young Tirna. As for his name, he asked her to merely call him ''Grandfather'' and that in time he would reveal his true name -- and indeed her true heritage -- to her.

He had reached out to run his fingers through Tirna's loose locks at that point, turning a single lock of hair at Tirna's left temple pure white, the alabaster in sharp contrast to her otherwise sable tresses. He played upon her love of lore and knowledge and began guiding her through several of the dusty tomes that lined the room, seeming every bit the caring mentor as he began to instruct her in the lost arts of the Krath.

It was a night that would change Tirna's life forever.

Lost Art of the Krath
For two years Tirna would study under this mysterious mentor known only to her as Grandfather. The white lock of hair became the brief subject of much debate and curiosity, only to taper off as more interesting subjects came up in Court, simply becoming another mystery surrounding this quiet, mysterious, but otherwise unremarkable member of the Tetan line.

During the day Tirna continued her instructions under the tutelage of her benevolent Uncle, continuing to pursue her academic and physical studies to their fullest, as during the night Grandfather showed her mysteries she had never dreamed of and strange powers that she had never seen until thus shown. It captivated her, these strange abilities, and she began down the path of the Dark Side unwittingly, her curiosity drawing her like a moth to the flame.

Just as there were a number of tomes of lore within the lost library, there were also a number of artifacts. A pair of swords, several amulets, and a cloak bearing a strange talisman for it's clasp. There was even a strange, pyramid-shaped object, covered in runes and strange symbols that the young, would-be Krath could not decipher.

''"All in good time,"'' was all her Grandfather would tell her.

Exile
Time, however, was not something Tirna had. Somehow her eldest sister -- Elsha -- discovered what Tirna was up to during her nightly outings, letting word slip to the wrong party. Unbeknownst to Tirna, knowledge of the lost lore had been forbidden near aeons past and was punishable by one means: death.

Word of this turn of events got back to the now sixteen-year-old Tirna, who quickly procured a large satchel which she filled with all the tomes and artifacts her Grandfather had led her to, cushioning them only with a spare change of the simple clothing she kept on hand for more active tasks and the black cloak with its strange talisman, fleeing to her Uncle's.

Her uncle managed to secure her transport out of the system as a near stowaway aboard a cargo vessel, saving her life, but effectively exiling the now former Tetan noble in the process. Left stranded and nearly penniless on a strange planet after the cargo ship delivered its load, the young woman was forced to put her knowledge and skills to work in the real world for the first time, in the end forced to use her body to gain a place to sleep and a job that would keep said roof over her head.

The next six months were a near blur for Tirna, so busy keeping the basic creature comforts within her grasp that all time to study the lore for which she had been exiled became non-existent. It was not until her Uncle was able to find her again and began to provide her some measure of financial security that once again Tirna was able to turn her eyes to the forgotten tomes that had gotten her here in the first place.

Thirst for Guidance
Without the spirit of her Grandfather to guide her in understanding the lore which she possessed, Tirna began to search for some other guidance to aide her in her quest for further knowledge. There were whispered rumors of an organization full of Force seekers, such as herself, and the young woman began to pursue them with all the wits and resources at her disposal.

Ironically, after a year and a half, it was not she who found them, but rather they who found her. A young, but intense individual by the name of J'Lek Arcanos approached her after hours in the bar she was currently employed in. He told her of the Dark Brotherhood, a group of like-minded individuals seeking knowledge and power through the Force, just as she was.

His words were smooth and precise and his intense gaze bespoke of the sort of power and knowledge she was seeking. Without much thought she found herself agreeing to go with him, and to become his student. It did not take her long to gather her things -- she had still only what little she had brought with her from Empress Teta -- and they departed for Eos in the blackest part of the night.

Ironically, after a year and a half, it was not she who found them, but rather they who found her. A young, but intense individual by the name of J'Lek Arcanos approached her after hours in the bar she was currently employed in. He told her of the Dark Brotherhood, a group of like-minded individuals seeking knowledge and power through the Force, just as she was.

His words were smooth and precise and his intense gaze bespoke of the sort of power and knowledge she was seeking. Without much thought she found herself agreeing to go with him, and to become his student. It did not take her long to gather her things -- she had still only what little she had brought with her from Empress Teta -- and they departed for Eos in the blackest part of the night.

Physical Description
Of average height, Tirna possesses an incredibly slender build, small of bone and breast. Her features are finely wrought, delicate and regal in their shaping. Her features seem ageless, her face framed by an uneven mess of white hair that almost floats with a life of its own. Her eyes are gray, tinged with a hint of strange amethyst, their sharpness belying the softer aspects of her face with a pained kind of knowledge and experience that gives her a far older look. Though slender, her muscles are firmly defined through her body, toned from years of physical activity, but trim and geared more toward agility and speed than brute force.

Dark Side Syndrome
Originally Tirna's hair was solid black. When an ancestral spirit came to her through the Force he turned the lock of hair at her left temple white with his touch. As Tirna became steeped deeper in the mysteries of the Force and of the Dark Side her hair gradually became fully white as she mastered the higher principles as a Dark Side Adept.

Outfits

Basic Clothing
Typically Tirna can be seen wearing the simple black hooded cloak of a Dark Jedi, clasped shut with the talisman of her Order. Beneath the robes she wears simple black clothing, the shirt sleeveless and knit of a soft, but strangely durable fabric that hugs her frame without hindering movement. Her pants are made of an equally sturdy fabric that seems to flow with her movements, just loose enough to allow complete freedom of movement without allowing them to be snagged, a simple black belt with a silver buckle cinching them around her waist. Her boots are made of sturdy hide, treated to be water-proof and polished to a brilliant shine often associated with military service. The toes are reinforced with metal plating, the soles thick and textured to provide excellent traction.

Weapons

Black Quarterstaff
Smooth pure black onyx twists and braids within itself from the chaotic throes of the stave's head, surrounding a jewel of purple ice, each beam of light that managed to penetrate the lawless labyrinth exploding into a magnified and prismatic burst of color. From the mesmerizing head of the staff the onyx fuses into smooth silken form, sleek and lethal as it flows down to form an entity of nearly two meters in height. Coldly it gleams, beckoning unwary opponents to their eternal doom.

Throwing Daggers
Found nested within Tirna's sleek boots, these twin daggers are deceivingly simple on the exterior. Their hilts are simple black, a silver line coiling in a downwards spiral to the top of the deadly blade. Carefully balanced these daggers have seen many battles, their well polished exterior still betraying signs of wear in the form of nicks and scratches that simply could not be polished away. Lastly, though unknown to most, the blades have been carefully coated with an extremely rare and fast-acting narcotic that often causes hallucinations upon entering the victims' bloodstream.

Lightsaber
Sleek and slender, made from mainly silver components, this standard lightsaber gleams and glitters with every light that touches it. Hints of black can be found here and there, though they are few and far between. The emitter end can be often seen with a deadly silver blade announcing its presence just prior to its introduction.

Early Life
Youngest daughter of the Tetan Nobility, Tirna was never slated to rule the Empress Teta system, and as such grew up with little in way of responsibility. She was taught proper court mannerisms and etiquette as was due and proper for her station, but was more often than not merely a show piece during festivals and official business, a silent observer to all that happened around her and for the most part ignored by her elder siblings.

Left to her own devices Tirna became quite bookish, often disappearing for long stretches to the large libraries her rank afforded her. No topic was too inane or advanced. The Tetan Princess devoured them all with a hunger long abandoned by her elder sisters, all too often consumed with their own vanity to care about the things their younger sister had to share with them.

Tirna was fortunate enough to find a kindred spirit in one of her uncles, who found her hunger for knowledge endearing, himself a scholar. He supplied her with further knowledge in the ways of the world, teaching her of politics, economics, social studies, and as she grew older finding her teachers to guide her in the more physical aspects of knowledge, arranging for a variety of instructors to guide her in martial arts and weapon usage.

All seemed quiet and normal in the life of this young Tetan noble.

Introduction to the Force
At the tender age of fourteen Tirna was introduced to the mysteries and lore that are the Force. Awoken from a deep and dreamless sleep by a mysterious voice, Tirna followed it as it led, her young curiosity and craving for knowledge outweighing any common sense or fear the young Tetan might have had. The voice led her down unfamiliar and disused corridors into a room that was small, but held a number of dusty tomes and strange artifacts, long forgotten by the society above.

It was in this room that Tirna got her first glimpse of the owner of the voice. The owner appeared to be a young man somewhere in his late twenties or perhaps early thirties. Curiosity turned to panic as she got her first glimpse of what was apparently a ghost, for his form seemed to glow with a semi-transparency that one might associate with a holo-projection.

Even as she turned to flee, however, the voice stopped her, his Will forcing itself upon her own and ceasing her steps.

''"You look so much like her."''

Curiosity once again rose in the teenager, and she slowly turned about to face the dark-haired and -eyed ghost once again, her black hair swirling loosely about her nightgowned form. The query was inevitable, and even as she asked the question the ghost's lips quirked in a mysterious grin. ''Her'' turned out to be his cousin, the name of whom he would not reveal to the young Tirna. As for his name, he asked her to merely call him ''Grandfather'' and that in time he would reveal his true name -- and indeed her true heritage -- to her.

He had reached out to run his fingers through Tirna's loose locks at that point, turning a single lock of hair at Tirna's left temple pure white, the alabaster in sharp contrast to her otherwise sable tresses. He played upon her love of lore and knowledge and began guiding her through several of the dusty tomes that lined the room, seeming every bit the caring mentor as he began to instruct her in the lost arts of the Krath.

It was a night that would change Tirna's life forever.

Lost Art of the Krath
For two years Tirna would study under this mysterious mentor known only to her as Grandfather. The white lock of hair became the brief subject of much debate and curiosity, only to taper off as more interesting subjects came up in Court, simply becoming another mystery surrounding this quiet, mysterious, but otherwise unremarkable member of the Tetan line.

During the day Tirna continued her instructions under the tutelage of her benevolent Uncle, continuing to pursue her academic and physical studies to their fullest, as during the night Grandfather showed her mysteries she had never dreamed of and strange powers that she had never seen until thus shown. It captivated her, these strange abilities, and she began down the path of the Dark Side unwittingly, her curiosity drawing her like a moth to the flame.

Just as there were a number of tomes of lore within the lost library, there were also a number of artifacts. A pair of swords, several amulets, and a cloak bearing a strange talisman for it's clasp. There was even a strange, pyramid-shaped object, covered in runes and strange symbols that the young, would-be Krath could not decipher.

''"All in good time,"'' was all her Grandfather would tell her.

Exile
Time, however, was not something Tirna had. Somehow her eldest sister -- Elsha -- discovered what Tirna was up to during her nightly outings, letting word slip to the wrong party. Unbeknownst to Tirna, knowledge of the lost lore had been forbidden near aeons past and was punishable by one means: death.

Word of this turn of events got back to the now sixteen-year-old Tirna, who quickly procured a large satchel which she filled with all the tomes and artifacts her Grandfather had led her to, cushioning them only with a spare change of the simple clothing she kept on hand for more active tasks and the black cloak with its strange talisman, fleeing to her Uncle's.

Her uncle managed to secure her transport out of the system as a near stowaway aboard a cargo vessel, saving her life, but effectively exiling the now former Tetan noble in the process. Left stranded and nearly penniless on a strange planet after the cargo ship delivered its load, the young woman was forced to put her knowledge and skills to work in the real world for the first time, in the end forced to use her body to gain a place to sleep and a job that would keep said roof over her head.

The next six months were a near blur for Tirna, so busy keeping the basic creature comforts within her grasp that all time to study the lore for which she had been exiled became non-existent. It was not until her Uncle was able to find her again and began to provide her some measure of financial security that once again Tirna was able to turn her eyes to the forgotten tomes that had gotten her here in the first place.

Thirst for Guidance

Word of this turn of events got back to the now sixteen-year-old Tirna, who quickly procured a large satchel which she filled with all the tomes and artifacts her Grandfather had led her to, cushioning them only with a spare change of the simple clothing she kept on hand for more active tasks and the black cloak with its strange talisman, fleeing to her Uncle's.

Her uncle managed to secure her transport out of the system as a near stowaway aboard a cargo vessel, saving her life, but effectively exiling the now former Tetan noble in the process. Left stranded and nearly penniless on a strange planet after the cargo ship delivered its load, the young woman was forced to put her knowledge and skills to work in the real world for the first time, in the end forced to use her body to gain a place to sleep and a job that would keep said roof over her head.

The next six months were a near blur for Tirna, so busy keeping the basic creature comforts within her grasp that all time to study the lore for which she had been exiled became non-existent. It was not until her Uncle was able to find her again and began to provide her some measure of financial security that once again Tirna was able to turn her eyes to the forgotten tomes that had gotten her here in the first place.

Thirst for Guidance
Without the spirit of her Grandfather to guide her in understanding the lore which she possessed, Tirna began to search for some other guidance to aide her in her quest for further knowledge. There were whispered rumors of an organization full of Force seekers, such as herself, and the young woman began to pursue them with all the wits and resources at her disposal.

Ironically, after a year and a half, it was not she who found them, but rather they who found her. A young, but intense individual by the name of J'Lek Arcanos approached her after hours in the bar she was currently employed in. He told her of the Dark Brotherhood, a group of like-minded individuals seeking knowledge and power through the Force, just as she was.

His words were smooth and precise and his intense gaze bespoke of the sort of power and knowledge she was seeking. Without much thought she found herself agreeing to go with him, and to become his student. It did not take her long to gather her things -- she had still only what little she had brought with her from Empress Teta -- and they departed for Eos in the blackest part of the night.

Of average height, Tirna possesses an incredibly slender build, small of bone and breast. Her features are finely wrought, delicate and regal in their shaping. Her features seem ageless, her face framed by an uneven mess of white hair that almost floats with a life of its own. Her eyes are gray, tinged with a hint of strange amethyst, their sharpness belying the softer aspects of her face with a pained kind of knowledge and experience that gives her a far older look. Though slender, her muscles are firmly defined through her body, toned from years of physical activity, but trim and geared more toward agility and speed than brute force.

Originally Tirna's hair was solid black. When an ancestral spirit came to her through the Force he turned the lock of hair at her left temple white with his touch. As Tirna became steeped deeper in the mysteries of the Force and of the Dark Side her hair gradually became fully white as she mastered the higher principles as a Dark Side Adept.

Typically Tirna can be seen wearing the simple black hooded cloak of a Dark Jedi, clasped shut with the talisman of her Order. Beneath the robes she wears simple black clothing, the shirt sleeveless and knit of a soft, but strangely durable fabric that hugs her frame without hindering movement. Her pants are made of an equally sturdy fabric that seems to flow with her movements, just loose enough to allow complete freedom of movement without allowing them to be snagged, a simple black belt with a silver buckle cinching them around her waist. Her boots are made of sturdy hide, treated to be water-proof and polished to a brilliant shine often associated with military service. The toes are reinforced with metal plating, the soles thick and textured to provide excellent traction.

Smooth pure black onyx twists and braids within itself from the chaotic throes of the stave's head, surrounding a jewel of purple ice, each beam of light that managed to penetrate the lawless labyrinth exploding into a magnified and prismatic burst of color. From the mesmerizing head of the staff the onyx fuses into smooth silken form, sleek and lethal as it flows down to form an entity of nearly two meters in height. Coldly it gleams, beckoning unwary opponents to their eternal doom.

===== Throwing Daggers =====
Found nested within Tirna's sleek boots, these twin daggers are deceivingly simple on the exterior. Their hilts are simple black, a silver line coiling in a downwards spiral to the top of the deadly blade. Carefully balanced these daggers have seen many battles, their well polished exterior still betraying signs of wear in the form of nicks and scratches that simply could not be polished away. Lastly, though unknown to most, the blades have been carefully coated with an extremely rare and fast-acting narcotic that often causes hallucinations upon entering the victims' bloodstream.

Sleek and slender, made from mainly silver components, this standard lightsaber gleams and glitters with every light that touches it. Hints of black can be found here and there, though they are few and far between. The emitter end can be often seen with a deadly silver blade announcing its presence just prior to its introduction.

=== Early Life ===
Youngest daughter of the Tetan Nobility, Tirna was never slated to rule the Empress Teta system, and as such grew up with little in way of responsibility. She was taught proper court mannerisms and etiquette as was due and proper for her station, but was more often than not merely a show piece during festivals and official business, a silent observer to all that happened around her and for the most part ignored by her elder siblings.

Left to her own devices Tirna became quite bookish, often disappearing for long stretches to the large libraries her rank afforded her. No topic was too inane or advanced. The Tetan Princess devoured them all with a hunger long abandoned by her elder sisters, all too often consumed with their own vanity to care about the things their younger sister had to share with them.

Tirna was fortunate enough to find a kindred spirit in one of her uncles, who found her hunger for knowledge endearing, himself a scholar. He supplied her with further knowledge in the ways of the world, teaching her of politics, economics, social studies, and as she grew older finding her teachers to guide her in the more physical aspects of knowledge, arranging for a variety of instructors to guide her in martial arts and weapon usage.

All seemed quiet and normal in the life of this young Tetan noble.

=== Introduction to the Force ===
At the tender age of fourteen Tirna was introduced to the mysteries and lore that are the Force. Awoken from a deep and dreamless sleep by a mysterious voice, Tirna followed it as it led, her young curiosity and craving for knowledge outweighing any common sense or fear the young Tetan might have had. The voice led her down unfamiliar and disused corridors into a room that was small, but held a number of dusty tomes and strange artifacts, long forgotten by the society above.

It was in this room that Tirna got her first glimpse of the owner of the voice. The owner appeared to be a young man somewhere in his late twenties or perhaps early thirties. Curiosity turned to panic as she got her first glimpse of what was apparently a ghost, for his form seemed to glow with a semi-transparency that one might associate with a holo-projection.

Even as she turned to flee, however, the voice stopped her, his Will forcing itself upon her own and ceasing her steps.

''"You look so much like her."''

Curiosity once again rose in the teenager, and she slowly turned about to face the dark-haired and -eyed ghost once again, her black hair swirling loosely about her nightgowned form. The query was inevitable, and even as she asked the question the ghost's lips quirked in a mysterious grin. ''Her'' turned out to be his cousin, the name of whom he would not reveal to the young Tirna. As for his name, he asked her to merely call him ''Grandfather'' and that in time he would reveal his true name -- and indeed her true heritage -- to her.

He had reached out to run his fingers through Tirna's loose locks at that point, turning a single lock of hair at Tirna's left temple pure white, the alabaster in sharp contrast to her otherwise sable tresses. He played upon her love of lore and knowledge and began guiding her through several of the dusty tomes that lined the room, seeming every bit the caring mentor as he began to instruct her in the lost arts of the Krath.

It was a night that would change Tirna's life forever.

=== Lost Art of the Krath ===
For two years Tirna would study under this mysterious mentor known only to her as Grandfather. The white lock of hair became the brief subject of much debate and curiosity, only to taper off as more interesting subjects came up in Court, simply becoming another mystery surrounding this quiet, mysterious, but otherwise unremarkable member of the Tetan line.

During the day Tirna continued her instructions under the tutelage of her benevolent Uncle, continuing to pursue her academic and physical studies to their fullest, as during the night Grandfather showed her mysteries she had never dreamed of and strange powers that she had never seen until thus shown. It captivated her, these strange abilities, and she began down the path of the Dark Side unwittingly, her curiosity drawing her like a moth to the flame.

Just as there were a number of tomes of lore within the lost library, there were also a number of artifacts. A pair of swords, several amulets, and a cloak bearing a strange talisman for it's clasp. There was even a strange, pyramid-shaped object, covered in runes and strange symbols that the young, would-be Krath could not decipher.

''"All in good time,"'' was all her Grandfather would tell her.

House Galeres is one of two multi-order [[House|Houses]] serving [[Clan Arcona]]. House Galeres is a breed apart from the rest of [[Clan Arcona|Arcona]] and indeed the rest of the Brotherhood. Instead of focusing their energies into matters of the force and the mastery of lightsaber combat, members of Galeres usually face two other tasks. Galeres is heavily involved with the underworld of the galaxy. This includes black marketeering, smuggling, bounty hunting and occasionally slaving. Galeres is always heavily involved in the seedier side of the galactic machine and is well-versed in underhanded dealings and criminal activities. It even goes so far as to rent out its services to various criminal syndicates…as long as the price is right.

==Orders in Galeres==

===Sith===
The [[Sith]] of Galeres are a bit of a paradox. Whilst their piloting prowess and skill in sabre-combat is formidable to say the least, they seem more content to concentrate on focusing their learning on political machinations, learning how to manipulate people and twist them to their own ends and to quote Darth Traya - 'It is a far greater to make your enemy see your way rather than to crush them absolutely'. Their role within the house is simple: They provide air support, flying the various fighters during any large-scale conflict and spend the rest of the time learning the subtle art of suggestion and occasionally applying it in the many power-struggles that permeate the Brotherhood.

===Obelisk===
The [[Obelisk]] of Galeres are almost always contained within Soulfire Brigade and as such are second only to the Grand Master's Royal Guard in tactical prowess and skill with a blade. They spend the majority of their time either training as a small commando-unit or lending their services either to the clan or to the highest bidder. Formerly an elite Obelisk unit within the order, Galeres Troopers have kept up the intensive training regimen that rivals even the Guardsmen's and their skill is reflected in this with the use of not just melee weapons but there's also evidence of everyday use of more conventional weapons such as Blasters of various sizes and explosives, and even the incorporation of these with other tactics that are the norm in the Brotherhood. Galeres Obelisk are the sword of Arcona and they know it.

===Krath===
The [[Krath]] are not your traditional librarians that seem to make up the majority of the order in other clans. Galeres' Krath are fully committed to gathering knowledge through superior firepower and are the prime resource hired out to independent parties by the House for assistance with skills that include advance warning for ambushes, negotiations of black market dealings and even in some cases assassinations (though this is usually only given to Krath of the rank of Knight or above). The older Krath of Galeres have also been rumoured to have been practicing the elusive art of Battle Meditation and forming "Battle-Melds" for use in times of conflict, however this is unconfirmed.

==Base of Operations==
Brilliantly disguised as a Mining Facility, the [[House Galeres:Base|Base of Galeres]] rests inside the Mountain of Faspere. The only part of the base visible from the outside is the Mining Facility, which not only helps to hide the base but it brings in useful resources for the Clan.

==History==
Galeres was originally the Obelisk House of Arcona, and has always served as the Warrior House of the Clan. Consuls would foolishly close the House in times of low activity, and morale would plummet. Galeres has long been the sustaining heart of Arcona, and has produced many a great warrior. 
In the days before the Exodus, Galeres was housed on Coronada with the rest of the Clan, and were almost strictly Obelisk in nature. After the Exodus and the discovery of the Dajorra system, a base was quickly established on Sukhur, the harshest of the worlds. A planet of sifting glass seas and blistering heat, the base was the training facility for Galeres. In an effort to see which House was stronger, Galeres or Oriens, Consul Halcyon Rokir declared a House Feud over the planet Eldar. 
After fierce fighting, Galeres proved stronger, taking the planet as their new home base. The Galeres base, disguised as a mining operation, quickly hit paydirt with the discovery of Garconian spice, found by Voranyen and Gavin d'Tana. After some experimenting on Gavin's behalf, it was found that the spice was extremely potent on humans and near human species. Further testing showed it had effects of euphoria and bliss on the Hutt species. With the Dajorra's system location near Hutt space, it became a simple effort of learning to mine and refine the abundant spice. 
As of now, the creation of the raw spice is unknown, and it is not yet been determined if it is natural or a product of some form of animal like the glitterstim mines on Kessel.

==Economy==
House Galeres has been the main source of income for the Clan ever since moving to the Dajorra system. Upon the discovery of Garconian spice, and the tests and refining, Gavin d'Tana himself was responsible for one of the strangest deals made by any Arconan. After negotiations, several gifts and bribes, a trade agreement was made between Galeres and several Hutt cartel's for the trade of Garconian spice. 
The flagship of Galeres, the Mejas Doto, was used many times as a cargo transport for the potent spice, with the occasional fighter escort. Most pirates within the trade route used by the Galeres pilots became fearful of the Doto, as its passing meant death to any who attacked. With this the House Galeres grew wealthy, and Arcona prospered. 
Slaving and mercenary work, when the Clan isn't in conflict with another power, have also shown considerable profits. Many laborers in the spice mines of Eldar are slaves, while some actually volunteered. Often it was suggested that the locals be subjagated into working the mines, but the business minded d'Tana family has always blocked this move, knowing that despite the abilites of the Dark Jedi of Galeres, they would be outnumbered ten to one.

==Galeres Troika==

House Galeres is first known for its Fighters, the skill of its Obelisk warriors. It has always been known as a Warrior House; however that is not to say that it is lacking in the other aspects of the brotherhood – merely that it specialises in the area of personal, single combat. These three individuals that display…singular skills are chosen by the Quaestor and the Aedile from the ranks of House Galeres and the recipient keeps the title for as long as the Quaestor and Aedile feel he is deserving. There have even been mutterings of a title being given to the participants indefinitely; however, this could just be conjecture.

===Titles===
====The First Blade of Galeres====
There is always one that stands out in the ranks of Galeres as the first combatant, the vanguard, the harbinger, the First Blade of Galeres. He is a blademaster with his sabre; he has a grasp of single combat that is unparalleled, even by the members of Soulfire Strike Team and is in every way a formidable adversary. Usually, the member has received Royal Guardsman training; however that isn’t a requisite for the holder of the title.

====The Prodigy of Galeres====
These are rare, but instantly noticeable, even in the excellence of Galeres. There is always one person that shines through the rank and file with unparalleled drive, ambition and tenacity in pursing the best interests of the House and Clan. It is clear from the outset that this member will do great things for Galeres, and for their own nefarious ends.

====The Adjunct of Galeres====
This, the third in the Troika of Galeres is probably the most subtle. He is not known for his superior skill with a blade or his level of aggression when pursuing outward goals of the House. Instead, this member is known for his quiet, consistent work behind the scenes, assisting the summit with their administration of the House. He is usually one of the longer-serving members and his experience will far outweigh that of other members.

===Symbols of Honor===
====The Shard of Garrida====
Taken from the Garrida Stone during the split, this shard of purest teal carbon (thought to be similar to a diamond in it’s consistency) is laced with veins of rich green running through the interior of the transparent crystal. The original stone was destroyed during the chaos of the split, and the Shard of Garrida is now all that remains of this one prestigious artefact. The Shard is given to the First Blade of Galeres, and is to be used as a Lightsaber focusing crystal. It gives the blade a rich turquoise/teal colour and makes the sabre blade more resistant to other lightsabres.

====The Mantle of Prodigy====
A piece of stylised armour, the design originally taken from an ancient Sith Warlord’s battle armour, the Mantle of prodigy is essentially a set of shoulder protectors with the Galeres symbol carved into the front & back, complete with a lustrous narrow cape coming down the back to the wearer’s ankles. This mantle protects the wearer from melee attacks such as vibroblades, but is unable to stave off lightsaber blows, and also grants the prodigy access to any of the fighters, shuttles, bombers or gunships in the Arcona fleet.

====Galeres Signet Ring====
A small silver ring devoid of any adornment save for two indented lines running parallel around the circumference of the ring, it seems to be made of a lightweight medal such as Titanium. Whilst not overtly showy, this piece of hand-wear grants the wearer access to almost everywhere in the Galeres properties and also contains a specifically patterned piece of bio-circuitry that allows the user to access confidential files in the Galerian computers, granting them carte blanche in everywhere but the areas reserved for the Quaestor. With this ring, the Adjunct can better aid his House Summit and the level off access available to the Adjunct is a sign of the level of trust he has been bestowed.

==Galeres Merit Awards==
House Galeres has always prided itself on its individuality, its unwillingness to follow but its nature to lead. It was the first Obelisk House of the Brotherhood, and as such was something of a trend-setter in the times before the Exodus. As such, the House leadership brought in their own merit award system for their members when they felt a more personal touch was necessary.

===Archivist Droid===
For some of the Journeymen of Galeres, the ‘theory’ work they are forced to go through is a rigmarole that leaves them little time for their preferred areas of study. An Archivist droid is the answer to this. Given as a low level award to some Journeymen that have excelled in a Feud, Vendetta or DB-wide event, the Archivist droid assists them in their training, helping them research obscure texts, translate ancient Sith tomes and is even useful as a protocol/general servant droid, being able to manage housework and culinary duties.

===Kama===
A protective garment worn around the back of the waist to protect the wearer’s legs from shrapnel – it is more ceremonial in nature than anything else, and was historically worn by the Thyrsus Sun Guard. This dark grey garment is worn in addition to the standard Galeres armour to protect the wearer’s upper legs and knees and is awarded for exemplary effort in a vendetta or other competitive event.

===Pauldron===
A Mark of Rank in Galeres, the Pauldron is worn on the shoulders of the Galeres armour to identify the Galerians that have been given command of a section of the Arcona Military Forces. Dark Blue in colour, it immediately differentiates the Commanders from the rank and file.

===Soulfire Award===
Soulfire Strike Team only has one award – one that reflects the Mandalorian origins of a lot of its members. The award is given out for life, and is quite similar to the Corellian Bloodstripes in its ideal.

====Jaig Eyes====
Originally a Mandalorian award for bravery, the Jaig Eyes are a stylised Jai’galaar eyes painted onto the helmet of Mandalorian warriors’ armour. Soulfire mirrored this and gave the Jaig Eyes out to its members who had displayed particular acts of bravery.

* It's a "G" for Galeres
* The curves and points, which bring violence to mind. Smooth arcs give a more peaceful feeling that doesn't really work for such an aggressive force. The curves used evoke blades, fire, danger in a glance.
* Space: At the time, Galeres was heavy in Sith, and the impression of space combat was needed somewhat...this is where the 'black hole' feel comes in on the right side.
* Identity marking. A house logo has to be able to fit within the medallions of a warbanner, as well as look good on a webpage, and at any resolution....therefore, going with a more simple and elegant design is favorable to going overly complex, where the subtleties would be lost, and the logo not immediately identifiable...which would negate the purpose.

Of average height, Tirna possesses an incredibly slender build, small of bone and breast. Her features are finely wrought, delicate and regal in their shaping. Her features seem ageless, her face framed by an uneven mess of white hair that almost floats with a life of its own. Her eyes are gray, tinged with a hint of strange amethyst, their sharpness belying the softer aspects of her face with a pained kind of knowledge and experience that gives her a far older look. Though slender, her muscles are firmly defined through her body, toned from years of physical activity, but trim and geared more toward agility and speed than brute force.

==== Dark Side Syndrome ====
Originally Tirna's hair was solid black. When an ancestral spirit came to her through the Force he turned the lock of hair at her left temple white with his touch. As Tirna became steeped deeper in the mysteries of the Force and of the Dark Side her hair gradually became fully white as she mastered the higher principles as a Dark Side Adept.

Typically Tirna can be seen wearing the simple black hooded cloak of a Dark Jedi, clasped shut with the talisman of her Order. Beneath the robes she wears simple black clothing, the shirt sleeveless and knit of a soft, but strangely durable fabric that hugs her frame without hindering movement. Her pants are made of an equally sturdy fabric that seems to flow with her movements, just loose enough to allow complete freedom of movement without allowing them to be snagged, a simple black belt with a silver buckle cinching them around her waist. Her boots are made of sturdy hide, treated to be water-proof and polished to a brilliant shine often associated with military service. The toes are reinforced with metal plating, the soles thick and textured to provide excellent traction.

Youngest daughter of the Tetan Nobility, Tirna was never slated to rule the Empress Teta system, and as such grew up with little in way of responsibility. She was taught proper court mannerisms and etiquette as was due and proper for her station, but was more often than not merely a show piece during festivals and official business, a silent observer to all that happened around her and for the most part ignored by her elder siblings.

Left to her own devices Tirna became quite bookish, often disappearing for long stretches to the large libraries her rank afforded her. No topic was too inane or advanced. The Tetan Princess devoured them all with a hunger long abandoned by her elder sisters, all too often consumed with their own vanity to care about the things their younger sister had to share with them.

Tirna was fortunate enough to find a kindred spirit in one of her uncles, who found her hunger for knowledge endearing, himself a scholar. He supplied her with further knowledge in the ways of the world, teaching her of politics, economics, social studies, and as she grew older finding her teachers to guide her in the more physical aspects of knowledge, arranging for a variety of instructors to guide her in martial arts and weapon usage.

All seemed quiet and normal in the life of this young Tetan noble.

At the tender age of fourteen Tirna was introduced to the mysteries and lore that are the Force. Awoken from a deep and dreamless sleep by a mysterious voice, Tirna followed it as it led, her young curiosity and craving for knowledge outweighing any common sense or fear the young Tetan might have had. The voice led her down unfamiliar and disused corridors into a room that was small, but held a number of dusty tomes and strange artifacts, long forgotten by the society above.

It was in this room that Tirna got her first glimpse of the owner of the voice. The owner appeared to be a young man somewhere in his late twenties or perhaps early thirties. Curiosity turned to panic as she got her first glimpse of what was apparently a ghost, for his form seemed to glow with a semi-transparency that one might associate with a holo-projection.

Even as she turned to flee, however, the voice stopped her, his Will forcing itself upon her own and ceasing her steps.

''"You look so much like her."''

Curiosity once again rose in the teenager, and she slowly turned about to face the dark-haired and -eyed ghost once again, her black hair swirling loosely about her nightgowned form. The query was inevitable, and even as she asked the question the ghost's lips quirked in a mysterious grin. ''Her'' turned out to be his cousin, the name of whom he would not reveal to the young Tirna. As for his name, he asked her to merely call him ''Grandfather'' and that in time he would reveal his true name -- and indeed her true heritage -- to her.

He had reached out to run his fingers through Tirna's loose locks at that point, turning a single lock of hair at Tirna's left temple pure white, the alabaster in sharp contrast to her otherwise sable tresses. He played upon her love of lore and knowledge and began guiding her through several of the dusty tomes that lined the room, seeming every bit the caring mentor as he began to instruct her in the lost arts of the Krath.

It was a night that would change Tirna's life forever.

For two years Tirna would study under this mysterious mentor known only to her as Grandfather. The white lock of hair became the brief subject of much debate and curiosity, only to taper off as more interesting subjects came up in Court, simply becoming another mystery surrounding this quiet, mysterious, but otherwise unremarkable member of the Tetan line.

During the day Tirna continued her instructions under the tutelage of her benevolent Uncle, continuing to pursue her academic and physical studies to their fullest, as during the night Grandfather showed her mysteries she had never dreamed of and strange powers that she had never seen until thus shown. It captivated her, these strange abilities, and she began down the path of the Dark Side unwittingly, her curiosity drawing her like a moth to the flame.

Just as there were a number of tomes of lore within the lost library, there were also a number of artifacts. A pair of swords, several amulets, and a cloak bearing a strange talisman for it's clasp. There was even a strange, pyramid-shaped object, covered in runes and strange symbols that the young, would-be Krath could not decipher.

''"All in good time,"'' was all her Grandfather would tell her.

Time, however, was not something Tirna had. Somehow her eldest sister -- Elsha -- discovered what Tirna was up to during her nightly outings, letting word slip to the wrong party. Unbeknownst to Tirna, knowledge of the lost lore had been forbidden near aeons past and was punishable by one means: death.

Word of this turn of events got back to the now sixteen-year-old Tirna, who quickly procured a large satchel which she filled with all the tomes and artifacts her Grandfather had led her to, cushioning them only with a spare change of the simple clothing she kept on hand for more active tasks and the black cloak with its strange talisman, fleeing to her Uncle's.

Her uncle managed to secure her transport out of the system as a near stowaway aboard a cargo vessel, saving her life, but effectively exiling the now former Tetan noble in the process. Left stranded and nearly penniless on a strange planet after the cargo ship delivered its load, the young woman was forced to put her knowledge and skills to work in the real world for the first time, in the end forced to use her body to gain a place to sleep and a job that would keep said roof over her head.

The next six months were a near blur for Tirna, so busy keeping the basic creature comforts within her grasp that all time to study the lore for which she had been exiled became non-existent. It was not until her Uncle was able to find her again and began to provide her some measure of financial security that once again Tirna was able to turn her eyes to the forgotten tomes that had gotten her here in the first place.

Without the spirit of her Grandfather to guide her in understanding the lore which she possessed, Tirna began to search for some other guidance to aide her in her quest for further knowledge. Ironically, after a year and a half, it was not she who found them, but rather they who found her. A young, but intense individual by the name of J'Lek Arcanos approached her after hours in the bar she was currently employed in. He told her of the Dark Brotherhood, a group of like-minded individuals seeking knowledge and power through the Force, just as she was.

His words were smooth and precise and his intense gaze bespoke of the sort of power and knowledge she was seeking. Without much thought she found herself agreeing to go with him, and to become his student. It did not take her long to gather her things -- she had still only what little she had brought with her from Empress Teta -- and they departed for Eos in the blackest part of the night.

Of average height, Tirna possesses an incredibly slender build, small of bone and breast. Her features are finely wrought, delicate and regal in their shaping. Her features seem ageless, her face framed by an uneven mess of white hair that almost floats with a life of its own. Her eyes are gray, tinged with a hint of strange amethyst, their sharpness belying the softer aspects of her face with a pained kind of knowledge and experience that gives her a far older look. Though slender, her muscles are firmly defined through her body, toned from years of physical activity, but trim and geared more toward agility and speed than brute force.

==== Dark Side Syndrome ====
Originally Tirna's hair was solid black. When an ancestral spirit came to her through the Force he turned the lock of hair at her left temple white with his touch. As Tirna became steeped deeper in the mysteries of the Force and of the Dark Side her hair gradually became fully white as she mastered the higher principles as a Dark Side Adept.

Typically Tirna can be seen wearing the simple black hooded cloak of a Dark Jedi, clasped shut with the talisman of her Order. Beneath the robes she wears simple black clothing, the shirt sleeveless and knit of a soft, but strangely durable fabric that hugs her frame without hindering movement. Her pants are made of an equally sturdy fabric that seems to flow with her movements, just loose enough to allow complete freedom of movement without allowing them to be snagged, a simple black belt with a silver buckle cinching them around her waist. Her boots are made of sturdy hide, treated to be water-proof and polished to a brilliant shine often associated with military service. The toes are reinforced with metal plating, the soles thick and textured to provide excellent traction.

=== Early Life ===
Youngest daughter of the Tetan Nobility, Tirna was never slated to rule the Empress Teta system, and as such grew up with little in way of responsibility. She was taught proper court mannerisms and etiquette as was due and proper for her station, but was more often than not merely a show piece during festivals and official business, a silent observer to all that happened around her and for the most part ignored by her elder siblings.

Left to her own devices Tirna became quite bookish, often disappearing for long stretches to the large libraries her rank afforded her. No topic was too inane or advanced. The Tetan Princess devoured them all with a hunger long abandoned by her elder sisters, all too often consumed with their own vanity to care about the things their younger sister had to share with them.

Tirna was fortunate enough to find a kindred spirit in one of her uncles, who found her hunger for knowledge endearing, himself a scholar. He supplied her with further knowledge in the ways of the world, teaching her of politics, economics, social studies, and as she grew older finding her teachers to guide her in the more physical aspects of knowledge, arranging for a variety of instructors to guide her in martial arts and weapon usage.

All seemed quiet and normal in the life of this young Tetan noble.

=== Introduction to the Force ===
At the tender age of fourteen Tirna was introduced to the mysteries and lore that are the Force. Awoken from a deep and dreamless sleep by a mysterious voice, Tirna followed it as it led, her young curiosity and craving for knowledge outweighing any common sense or fear the young Tetan might have had. The voice led her down unfamiliar and disused corridors into a room that was small, but held a number of dusty tomes and strange artifacts, long forgotten by the society above.

It was in this room that Tirna got her first glimpse of the owner of the voice. The owner appeared to be a young man somewhere in his late twenties or perhaps early thirties. Curiosity turned to panic as she got her first glimpse of what was apparently a ghost, for his form seemed to glow with a semi-transparency that one might associate with a holo-projection.

Even as she turned to flee, however, the voice stopped her, his Will forcing itself upon her own and ceasing her steps.

''"You look so much like her."''

Curiosity once again rose in the teenager, and she slowly turned about to face the dark-haired and -eyed ghost once again, her black hair swirling loosely about her nightgowned form. The query was inevitable, and even as she asked the question the ghost's lips quirked in a mysterious grin. ''Her'' turned out to be his cousin, the name of whom he would not reveal to the young Tirna. As for his name, he asked her to merely call him ''Grandfather'' and that in time he would reveal his true name -- and indeed her true heritage -- to her.

He had reached out to run his fingers through Tirna's loose locks at that point, turning a single lock of hair at Tirna's left temple pure white, the alabaster in sharp contrast to her otherwise sable tresses. He played upon her love of lore and knowledge and began guiding her through several of the dusty tomes that lined the room, seeming every bit the caring mentor as he began to instruct her in the lost arts of the Krath.

It was a night that would change Tirna's life forever.

=== Lost Art of the Krath ===
For two years Tirna would study under this mysterious mentor known only to her as Grandfather. The white lock of hair became the brief subject of much debate and curiosity, only to taper off as more interesting subjects came up in Court, simply becoming another mystery surrounding this quiet, mysterious, but otherwise unremarkable member of the Tetan line.

During the day Tirna continued her instructions under the tutelage of her benevolent Uncle, continuing to pursue her academic and physical studies to their fullest, as during the night Grandfather showed her mysteries she had never dreamed of and strange powers that she had never seen until thus shown. It captivated her, these strange abilities, and she began down the path of the Dark Side unwittingly, her curiosity drawing her like a moth to the flame.

Just as there were a number of tomes of lore within the lost library, there were also a number of artifacts. A pair of swords, several amulets, and a cloak bearing a strange talisman for it's clasp. There was even a strange, pyramid-shaped object, covered in runes and strange symbols that the young, would-be Krath could not decipher.

''"All in good time,"'' was all her Grandfather would tell her.

=== Exile ===
Time, however, was not something Tirna had. Somehow her eldest sister -- Elsha -- discovered what Tirna was up to during her nightly outings, letting word slip to the wrong party. Unbeknownst to Tirna, knowledge of the lost lore had been forbidden near aeons past and was punishable by one means: death.

Word of this turn of events got back to the now sixteen-year-old Tirna, who quickly procured a large satchel which she filled with all the tomes and artifacts her Grandfather had led her to, cushioning them only with a spare change of the simple clothing she kept on hand for more active tasks and the black cloak with its strange talisman, fleeing to her Uncle's.

Her uncle managed to secure her transport out of the system as a near stowaway aboard a cargo vessel, saving her life, but effectively exiling the now former Tetan noble in the process. Left stranded and nearly penniless on a strange planet after the cargo ship delivered its load, the young woman was forced to put her knowledge and skills to work in the real world for the first time, in the end forced to use her body to gain a place to sleep and a job that would keep said roof over her head.

The next six months were a near blur for Tirna, so busy keeping the basic creature comforts within her grasp that all time to study the lore for which she had been exiled became non-existent. It was not until her Uncle was able to find her again and began to provide her some measure of financial security that once again Tirna was able to turn her eyes to the forgotten tomes that had gotten her here in the first place.
