[[Scorpius]] (62 BBY-Present) is a leading Dark Jedi within Clan Plagueis of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He is an Archpriest of the Krath Order. Formerly a Jedi Knight of the Old Republic, Scorpius was one of the many Jedi who fought in the Clone Wars. During the conflict however Scorpius was lost to the Dark Side of the Force while on a mission to Chandrila. He rose as a servant of the Dark Lords of the Sith and served faithfully in the Galactic Empire.

After the fall of the Empire, Scorpius took command of a small fleet of three Star Destroyers and fought on in the Imperial Remnant for many years, but his days were numbered as the New Jedi Order closed in on him. With all his struggles and victories in battle though, it was one of his own apprentices that finally bested him, stabbing him in the back and leaving him for dead. Scorpius would not be beaten so easily though, and despite dying his spirit survived, and many years later was able to trick a young Jedi into bringing him back into one of his many clones. Almost severed completely from the Force during the transformation, Scorpius had lost all of his power that he once had though, and ventured to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood where he was trained once more.

A natural politician and diplomat, he has served as one of the political movers-and-shakers in Clan Plagueis. Following his captivity during the [[Invasion of Jusadih]], he went mad and exiled himself for months. Since his return, he has been rather different...

== Character History ==

===Aristocracy and Birth===

The bloodline of the Scorpius Family can be traced as far back as 3997 BBY to Darth Scorpius, a participant in the Freedon Nadd Uprising. Since then, the Scorpii have been in records on Korriban, Ossus, Dantooine, Thyferra, Coruscant, and Chandrila. Various Scorpii were members of the Old Sith and Jedi Orders. The origin of the Scorpius Family can be traced to a small planet in the mid-rim that is not located on most standard galactic maps. The planet Risban has been politically and economically dominated by the Scorpius Family for centuries. The senior male member of the family was named the "Count" of Risban. The great-great grandfather of the present Scorpius, Lucius Myles Scorpius, founded ScorpCorp, a company of many different trades, and moved the family estate to Chandrila, all-the-while still maintaining control and influence over Risban. His grandfather, Count Finis Hadjus Scorpius, served one term as the senator of Chandrila.

Robel Antares Scorpius was born on Chandrila in 62 BBY to Magnus Scorpius and Sophia Antares. His parents were very influential in politics and business on Chandrila, his mother serving one term as mayor of Hanna City. Needless to say, the Scorpius Family had entered the political and economic aristocracy of Chandrila. It was expected that Robel would go on to become school in politics or business on Chandrila. One day he would inherit ScorpCorp. This all changed three years after his birth, however, when it was discovered that he was Force-sensitive.

A Jedi Knight on Chandrila named Joruun Kalp discovered that the young Scorpius was Force-sensitive. Robel was taken from his family and brought to Coruscant to train to be a Jedi.

===Jedi Knight===
Scorpius trained as a Jedi at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, showing great skill as a padawan in the areas of stategy, Force philosophy, and classical lightsaber duelling. He even received some training sessions as a padawan from the great Jedi Master Dooku, one of the best saberists in the Order. In 40 BBY, at the age of twenty-two, Scorpius became a young Jedi Knight.

Given his family's influence, throughout his training Scorpius managed to keep in contact with his parents and siblings. The Jedi Order heavily discouraged Scorpius from doing so but did not stop him. Throughout his time in the Jedi Order, Scorpius had developed a keen interest in politics and upon reaching Jedi Knight often served as a liaison between the Jedi Council and the Senate. Through this Scorpius made a name for himself as a shrewd political thinker and strategist, and also rose to become a master of Makashi lightsaber form. Indeed, he was set to do good things for the Jedi Order.

When a small anti-Republic movement on Chandrila began to form into a militia and threaten rebellion, the Jedi Council dispatched a team of Jedi and Republic security forces to help quell any militant actions. Given his ties with and knowledge of Chandrila, Jedi Knight Scorpius was placed on the team. This would turn out to be a major mistake.

===Descent to Darkness and the Clone Wars===

In 34 BBY, a wealthy Chandrilan named Gaius Zorag convinced the governor of Copmol City on Chandrila, Julian Pole, do join him in an effort to free Chandrila from the 'bureuacratic tyranny' of the Republic. Together they formed the Chandrilan Liberation Society and attracted nearly two thousand militant supporters to the society. The Chandrilan government sent a plea of help to the Senate, who dispatched a small group of Jedi Knights with Republic Security Forces to quell the growing dissidents before they caused too much damage. Leading the mission was Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi, accompanid by Jedi Knights Scorpius and Joruun Kalp.

The Republic Security Forces were unseasoned, however, and the Chandrilan Security Forces were made up of mostly lower-class citizens who held a disdain for the aristocracy on Chandrila. Manor Scorpius, where the Scorpius Family made its home on Chandrila, was in the rebellious territory. As the security forces were moving through the land, they came upon the manor and opened fire on it as if it were an enemy stronghold, murdering Robel's parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Jedi Knight Joruun Kalp arrived right after the attack and rushed to try heal the dying people, but he could not. As he started to leave the burning home, Scorpius arrived, having felt the deaths.

In a fit of rage the Jedi Knight murdered his fellow knight Joruun Kalp. Then he chased down the group responsible for the attack and killed last member of the security squad, their bodies littering the Chandrilan countryside. While this was happening, Ki-Adi-Mundi was leading the assault on the rebel stronghold, and felt the death of Joruun Kalp. He was thus prepared when Scorpius arrived, blaming the Republic for the death of his family and the Jedi for being powerless to stop it. He and his master began to duel, but when it became apparent that Scorpius could not win, he left the planet with the retreating Gaius Zorag and the secessionists. The Chandrilan Uprising was quelled, but it had cost two Jedi Knights.

Scorpius left the Jedi Order and suddenly found himself, with the death of his father, as the heir to a multi-billion credt intergalactic company and a noble title on the planet of Risban. He spent the next few years of his life in private, maintaing ScorpCorp and working with an up-and-coming starship technology pioneer named Raith Sienar. By the end of the Battle of Naboo, Scorpius had already accumulated a vast fortune. However, Scorpius still wished for revenge against the Jedi. With rumors of a Sith reemergence at Naboo, stories of the Jedi 'Chosen One' being taught at the Jedi Temple, and a curious bounty posted by an old Jedi that Scorpius had trained under briefly, Count Dooku, a growing disturbance in the Force brought Scorpius' interests back to Coruscant.

In 28 BBY, Count Dooku approached Scorpius and revealed that he was a Dark Lord of the Sith. He promised Scorpius power and vengeance, and after Scorpius had proved his worth and loyalty through a series of tasks, the ex-Jedi Knight was made a Dark Acolyte, an agent for this Darth Tyrannus. Scorpius served as an assassin for the Sith Lords, eliminating certain politicians and businessmen who stood in their way. When the Clone Wars broke out, Scorpius was served as an admiral in the Separatist forces. He fought in many battles throughout the Clone Wars, and more than once he faced and killed members of the Jedi Order. As the Clone Wars neared an explosive end, Scorpius was helping manage the Separatist forces on the InterGalactic Banking Clan's ice-covered planet of Mygeeto.

''Just like the rest of them, though, he never caught whiff of what was really going on. Not until it was far too late.'' ~501st Legion on Ki-Adi-Mundi.

Mygeeto was one of the bastions of the Separatist Army. When General Grievous left the planet to deal with other campaigns and San Hill was transported to safety elsewhere, Scorpius was placed in charge of Separatist forces on the planet. He faced a squad of Galactic Marines led by Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi. Scorpius was also on the planet to allow elements of the 501st Legion to successfully manuever around Separatist forces and acquire an ancinet Mygeetan crystal to serve as the power source for a top-secret laser-stream project that the Sith were creating, codenamed Operation Hammertong-- this would eventually become the Death Star. Scorpius and the Jedi master dueled several times throughout the Mygeetan campaigns. As the Republic forces intensified a push to seize the Separatist base in the Mygeetan capital, Order 66 was issued. Scorpius watched in surprise as Mundi fought his way across a bridge before his troops stopped and trained their weapons on him. As Scorpius watched Mundi's betrayal, he felt the others around the galaxy as well. Across the stars, Jedi died. All of them at the same time. Darth Sidious was triumphant.

Realizing that the Clone Wars were over, and somewhat distraught by the lack of nobility in the deaths of the Jedi, Scorpius abandoned Mygeeto as the Republic forces onquered it. The Dark Acolyte quickly traveled to Coruscant as Palpatine gave a speech to the Senate outling a plot by the Jedi to assassinate him, and proclaimed himself emperor of the new Galactic Empire. Scorpius traveled to the Jedi Temple shortly after the new Darth Vader and the 501st Legion murdered every master, knight, and padawan in the temple; they had been betrated by their Chosen One. Scorpius took advantage of the time of chaos to slip into the Jedi Library, stepping over the bodies of Jocastu Nu and some young padawans to remove certain records for his own use.

The Clone Wars ended, the Jedi Order was wiped out, and a New Order had risen in its place.

===Empire, Remnant, and Death===

For his service to the Sith, Scorpius was given a position in Palpatine's Secret Order as one of his Dark Adepts, like other Force-sensitive individuals corrupted by the Dark Side. He was given the position of vice-admiral in the Imperial Starfleet, occasionally watching over ambitious admirals and moffs on behalf of the Emperor. He fought in many battles throughout the Galactic Civil War, and often he would work with those living in the shadows of the Empire, chiefly the Black Sun Crime Syndicate, to fulfill any wishes the Emperor asked of him. During this time, Scorpius also used cloning technology to create several clones of himself at a facility in Risban in case his own body should suffer physical distress. Scorpius was patrolling the Chandrila system when news of the deaths of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader at Endor reached him. Realizing that the Rebel Alliance was now on the verge of toppling the Empire and that the Jedi were reemerging with this new Luke Skywalker fellow, Scorpius took a small fleet consisting of three Star Destroyers and fled to the Risban system.

Eventually, Coruscant fell to the Rebellion, and the New Republic was established. Scorpius rose through the ranks of respect in the Imperial Remnant, and was briefly involved in Grand Admiral Thrawn's attempt to reestablish the Empire. His loyalty to Thrawn was chiefly because Scorpius knew little of an extra-galactic threat the Emperor had once warned of, and he knew that a strong Empire would be needed to repel this threat. When Thrawn was defeated and the New Republic, with its New Jedi Order, started eliminating Imperial warlords, Scorpius grew desperate. Scorpius had attracted his own small cadre of loyal followers and apprentices. Famosus Aspicio, James Bellador, and Syrus Korodin were all Force-sensitive and working with Scorpius to try to establish an order of Dark Jedi. Now having attained the full rank of Admiral and control of six Star Destroyers and two Corellian Blockade Runners, in 17 ABY Scorpius launched an attack on his home planet of Chandrila, hoping to hold the planet hostage and use it as a bargaining chip with the New Republic.

He nearly succeeded with his surprise attack, seizing control of Hanna City. Luke Skywalker dispatched several Jedi to deal with the Dark Jedi, and had even planted a mole inside of Scorpius' little group of followers. After a gruesome duel with a Jedi Knight named Fritz, Scorpius was attacked from behind by a Jedi apprentice named Alex Wiederspiel, who had been tricking Scorpius all this time and acting as one of his followers. Stabbed through the back, Scorpius suddenly felt how the Jedi must have felt when their own troops betrayed them. He stumbled back into a pit filled with snakes and died. The New Republic seized his fleet, and his followers fled.

But his spirit lingered, mustering all he could with the Dark Side of the Force to stay in this life....

===Rebirth and Brotherhood===

In 19 ABY, a young Jedi apprentice named Clover Eu'odea came across the spirit of Scorpius trapped in a holocron. Scorpius manipulated and tricked the young girl, convincing her to travel to Risban and resurrect Scorpius into once of his clone bodies. She did, and Scorpius emerged in a twenty-two-year-old version of himself. However, he was drastically cut off from the Force and severely weakened by his death and resurrection, the power he once had all-but-gone. He disposed of Clover with a blaster, and then decided to flee Risban before Republic forces discovered him. He entered his personal StarViper, ''The Scorpion,'' and made a dangerous blind jump into hyperspace.

By the sheer will of the Force, he exited hyperspace over the planet Byfrost, where he was picked up by members of Clan Exar Kun of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He joined the Brotherhood and began to retrain in the ways of the Dark Side, attaining the rank of Dark Jedi Knight under his master Braecen Triadus Isradia, later to be known as Braecen Kaeth Kunar. While in the Brotherhood he called upon his former allies--[[Famosus Aspicio]], James Bellador, and Syrus Korodin--to join him, which they did.

When the Dictum of the Two Skies was issued and Clan Plagueis was formed, Scorpius was placed in House Bane to command the battle team Heretics of Bane. The Heretics of Bane went on many successful missions under Scorpius before House Bane was shut down. Scorpius joined House Exar Kun. During missions against organizations like the Crimson Tide, Scorpius made close bonds and alliances with individuals like [[Aabsdu]], [[Galaphile]], [[Jonaleth Isradia]], [[Ashura Isradia]], and others. He also obtained the title Prodigy of Plagueis, and held the active title longer than any other in Plagueis history.

When the home system of Clan Plagueis began to go supernova, Scorpius personally oversaw the construction of [[Diadem Fortress]] in the new system that Clan Plagueis would move to. As Prodigy of Plagueis at the time, Scorpius helped oversee defeating Crimson Tide pirates during the evacuation of the system. Once settled in the new Jusadih System, Scorpius became more involved with Plagueis politics. He served as the Tetrarch of Exar's Shadow and later Blades of Kun before become Quaestor of House Exar Kun. During his tenure as Quaestor, the [[Sixth Great Jedi War]] broke out and came all too close to House Exar Kun during the [[Assault on Diadem]]. During the assault, there was an assassination attempt on Scorpius' life as Aerunian Rebels and forces of Clan Naga Sadow attempted to destroy the bastion of House Exar Kun. With assistance from his aedile, Aabsdu, and Dark Adept Jonaleth Isradia, the enemy were finally defeated and driven back. As the war continued, Scorpius relinquished his role as Quaestor to serve Plagueis on a secret mission as the fleets of the Brotherhood moved to fight one another. Scarred and tired, when the war was over Scorpius oversaw the reconstruction of Diadem Fortress and then served as the Kunian Ambassador to the Aerunian Senate.

After this time, Scorpius became a prominent member of Clan Plagueis once more. He was assigned to the position of Proconsul of the clan and served for several months before the time had come for him to relinquish his power. He was adopted into the [[Dupar]] family.

===Seventh Great Jedi War===

One of the Archpriest's greatest battles took place during the [[Seventh Great Jedi War]], where he was forced into action, defending Aerun and the [[Diadem Fortress]]. It was early on in the war that Scorpius, and his former apprentice Dismal, were called upon to protect the Diadem Fortress from the Yuuzhan Vong invaders. They fought valiantly and with great honor, but ultimately the might of the alien force overcame them and they were forced into fleeing into space.

It was not long though before the Yuuzhan Vong caught up with Scorpius' and Dismal's ship, and with their cloaking device disabled, they were an easy target for their opponents. They were captured by the Yuuzhan Vong and brought back to the waiting Miid Ro'ik starship. Despite early attempts to fight their captors off, they were disabled and trapped inside the Embrace of Pain.

Luckily for Scorpius and Dismal, a well-trained Jedi strikeforce consisting of Plagueis' finest, [[Jaden Kyrath]], Anochiir and [[Galaphile]], came to their allies aid. Despite the brave rescue though, Scorpius was left severely wounded from the Embrace of Pain, and was left without his saber.

Following the Vong invasion, Scorpius went into forced exile, spending his time dealing with the scars he had gained from the Vong and meditating on the Force. Since that time much has changed in Clan Plagueis, and it looks like the Krath Archpriest may be ready to jump back into things....

==Personality==

Scorpius is a reserved, deliberate, and logical individual. He is protective of those who are under his charge or are loyal to him, and deadly to his enemies. He is a shred politician and strategist, very good with oratory and planning things out. His charisma has been of use to Clan Plagueis before as he gives stirring speeches to motivate Plagueis for battle.

He usually prefers to avoid official positions of leadership, often times serving like a true Krath from the shadows. Many Consuls, Proconsuls, and Quaestors in Plagueis have used Scorpius as a close advisor and confidant, turning to him to assist with problems and often including him as a de facto leader within Clan Plagueis. Apart from skills in the art of ruling and strategy, he enjoys practicing history and Force philosophy, as well as perfecting his master of Makashi form lightsaber dueling.

Following his captivity by the Yuuzhan Vong during the Invasion of Jusadih, some people think that he has gone a bit mad.

Given his family's influence, throughout his training Scorpius managed to keep in contact with his parents and siblings. The Jedi Order heavily discouraged Scorpius from doing so but did not stop him. Throughout his time in the Jedi Order, Scorpius had developed a keen interest in politics and upon reaching Jedi Knight often served as a liaison between the Jedi Council and the Senate. Through this Scorpius made a name for himself as a shrewd political thinker and strategist, and also rose to become a master of Makashi lightsaber form. Indeed, he was set to do good things for the Jedi Order.

When a small anti-Republic movement on Chandrila began to form into a militia and threaten rebellion, the Jedi Council dispatched a team of Jedi and Republic security forces to help quell any militant actions. Given his ties with and knowledge of Chandrila, Jedi Knight Scorpius was placed on the team. This would turn out to be a major mistake.

===Descent to Darkness and the Clone Wars===

In 34 BBY, a wealthy Chandrilan named Gaius Zorag convinced the governor of Copmol City on Chandrila, Julian Pole, do join him in an effort to free Chandrila from the 'bureuacratic tyranny' of the Republic. Together they formed the Chandrilan Liberation Society and attracted nearly two thousand militant supporters to the society. The Chandrilan government sent a plea of help to the Senate, who dispatched a small group of Jedi Knights with Republic Security Forces to quell the growing dissidents before they caused too much damage. Leading the mission was Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi, accompanid by Jedi Knights Scorpius and Joruun Kalp.

The Republic Security Forces were unseasoned, however, and the Chandrilan Security Forces were made up of mostly lower-class citizens who held a disdain for the aristocracy on Chandrila. Manor Scorpius, where the Scorpius Family made its home on Chandrila, was in the rebellious territory. As the security forces were moving through the land, they came upon the manor and opened fire on it as if it were an enemy stronghold, murdering Robel's parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Jedi Knight Joruun Kalp arrived right after the attack and rushed to try heal the dying people, but he could not. As he started to leave the burning home, Scorpius arrived, having felt the deaths.

In a fit of rage the Jedi Knight murdered his fellow knight Joruun Kalp. Then he chased down the group responsible for the attack and killed last member of the security squad, their bodies littering the Chandrilan countryside. While this was happening, Ki-Adi-Mundi was leading the assault on the rebel stronghold, and felt the death of Joruun Kalp. He was thus prepared when Scorpius arrived, blaming the Republic for the death of his family and the Jedi for being powerless to stop it. He and his master began to duel, but when it became apparent that Scorpius could not win, he left the planet with the retreating Gaius Zorag and the secessionists. The Chandrilan Uprising was quelled, but it had cost two Jedi Knights.

Scorpius left the Jedi Order and suddenly found himself, with the death of his father, as the heir to a multi-billion credt intergalactic company and a noble title on the planet of Risban. He spent the next few years of his life in private, maintaing ScorpCorp and working with an up-and-coming starship technology pioneer named Raith Sienar. By the end of the Battle of Naboo, Scorpius had already accumulated a vast fortune. However, Scorpius still wished for revenge against the Jedi. With rumors of a Sith reemergence at Naboo, stories of the Jedi 'Chosen One' being taught at the Jedi Temple, and a curious bounty posted by an old Jedi that Scorpius had trained under briefly, Count Dooku, a growing disturbance in the Force brought Scorpius' interests back to Coruscant.

In 28 BBY, Count Dooku approached Scorpius and revealed that he was a Dark Lord of the Sith. He promised Scorpius power and vengeance, and after Scorpius had proved his worth and loyalty through a series of tasks, the ex-Jedi Knight was made a Dark Acolyte, an agent for this Darth Tyrannus. Scorpius served as an assassin for the Sith Lords, eliminating certain politicians and businessmen who stood in their way. When the Clone Wars broke out, Scorpius was served as an admiral in the Separatist forces. He fought in many battles throughout the Clone Wars, and more than once he faced and killed members of the Jedi Order. As the Clone Wars neared an explosive end, Scorpius was helping manage the Separatist forces on the InterGalactic Banking Clan's ice-covered planet of Mygeeto.

Mygeeto was one of the bastions of the Separatist Army. When General Grievous left the planet to deal with other campaigns and San Hill was transported to safety elsewhere, Scorpius was placed in charge of Separatist forces on the planet. He faced a squad of Galactic Marines led by Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi. Scorpius was also on the planet to allow elements of the 501st Legion to successfully manuever around Separatist forces and acquire an ancinet Mygeetan crystal to serve as the power source for a top-secret laser-stream project that the Sith were creating, codenamed Operation Hammertong-- this would eventually become the Death Star. Scorpius and the Jedi master dueled several times throughout the Mygeetan campaigns. As the Republic forces intensified a push to seize the Separatist base in the Mygeetan capital, Order 66 was issued. Scorpius watched in surprise as Mundi fought his way across a bridge before his troops stopped and trained their weapons on him. As Scorpius watched Mundi's betrayal, he felt the others around the galaxy as well. Across the stars, Jedi died. All of them at the same time. Darth Sidious was triumphant.

Realizing that the Clone Wars were over, and somewhat distraught by the lack of nobility in the deaths of the Jedi, Scorpius abandoned Mygeeto as the Republic forces onquered it. The Dark Acolyte quickly traveled to Coruscant as Palpatine gave a speech to the Senate outling a plot by the Jedi to assassinate him, and proclaimed himself emperor of the new Galactic Empire. Scorpius traveled to the Jedi Temple shortly after the new Darth Vader and the 501st Legion murdered every master, knight, and padawan in the temple; they had been betrated by their Chosen One. Scorpius took advantage of the time of chaos to slip into the Jedi Library, stepping over the bodies of Jocastu Nu and some young padawans to remove certain records for his own use.

The Clone Wars ended, the Jedi Order was wiped out, and a New Order had risen in its place.

===Empire, Remnant, and Death===

For his service to the Sith, Scorpius was given a position in Palpatine's Secret Order as one of his Dark Adepts, like other Force-sensitive individuals corrupted by the Dark Side. He was given the position of vice-admiral in the Imperial Starfleet, occasionally watching over ambitious admirals and moffs on behalf of the Emperor. He fought in many battles throughout the Galactic Civil War, and often he would work with those living in the shadows of the Empire, chiefly the Black Sun Crime Syndicate, to fulfill any wishes the Emperor asked of him. During this time, Scorpius also used cloning technology to create several clones of himself at a facility in Risban in case his own body should suffer physical distress. Scorpius was patrolling the Chandrila system when news of the deaths of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader at Endor reached him. Realizing that the Rebel Alliance was now on the verge of toppling the Empire and that the Jedi were reemerging with this new Luke Skywalker fellow, Scorpius took a small fleet consisting of three Star Destroyers and fled to the Risban system.

Eventually, Coruscant fell to the Rebellion, and the New Republic was established. Scorpius rose through the ranks of respect in the Imperial Remnant, and was briefly involved in Grand Admiral Thrawn's attempt to reestablish the Empire. His loyalty to Thrawn was chiefly because Scorpius knew little of an extra-galactic threat the Emperor had once warned of, and he knew that a strong Empire would be needed to repel this threat. When Thrawn was defeated and the New Republic, with its New Jedi Order, started eliminating Imperial warlords, Scorpius grew desperate. Scorpius had attracted his own small cadre of loyal followers and apprentices. Famosus Aspicio, James Bellador, and Syrus Korodin were all Force-sensitive and working with Scorpius to try to establish an order of Dark Jedi. Now having attained the full rank of Admiral and control of six Star Destroyers and two Corellian Blockade Runners, in 17 ABY Scorpius launched an attack on his home planet of Chandrila, hoping to hold the planet hostage and use it as a bargaining chip with the New Republic.

He nearly succeeded with his surprise attack, seizing control of Hanna City. Luke Skywalker dispatched several Jedi to deal with the Dark Jedi, and had even planted a mole inside of Scorpius' little group of followers. After a gruesome duel with a Jedi Knight named Fritz, Scorpius was attacked from behind by a Jedi apprentice named Alex Wiederspiel, who had been tricking Scorpius all this time and acting as one of his followers. Stabbed through the back, Scorpius suddenly felt how the Jedi must have felt when their own troops betrayed them. He stumbled back into a pit filled with snakes and died. The New Republic seized his fleet, and his followers fled.

But his spirit lingered, mustering all he could with the Dark Side of the Force to stay in this life....

===Rebirth and Brotherhood===

In 19 ABY, a young Jedi apprentice named Clover Eu'odea came across the spirit of Scorpius trapped in a holocron. Scorpius manipulated and tricked the young girl, convincing her to travel to Risban and resurrect Scorpius into once of his clone bodies. She did, and Scorpius emerged in a twenty-two-year-old version of himself. However, he was drastically cut off from the Force and severely weakened by his death and resurrection, the power he once had all-but-gone. He disposed of Clover with a blaster, and then decided to flee Risban before Republic forces discovered him. He entered his personal StarViper, ''The Scorpion,'' and made a dangerous blind jump into hyperspace.

By the sheer will of the Force, he exited hyperspace over the planet Byfrost, where he was picked up by members of Clan Exar Kun of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He joined the Brotherhood and began to retrain in the ways of the Dark Side, attaining the rank of Dark Jedi Knight under his master Braecen Triadus Isradia, later to be known as Braecen Kaeth Kunar. While in the Brotherhood he called upon his former allies--[[Famosus Aspicio]], James Bellador, and Syrus Korodin--to join him, which they did.

When the Dictum of the Two Skies was issued and Clan Plagueis was formed, Scorpius was placed in House Bane to command the battle team Heretics of Bane. The Heretics of Bane went on many successful missions under Scorpius before House Bane was shut down. Scorpius joined House Exar Kun. During missions against organizations like the Crimson Tide, Scorpius made close bonds and alliances with individuals like [[Aabsdu]], [[Galaphile]], [[Jonaleth Isradia]], [[Ashura Isradia]], and others. He also obtained the title Prodigy of Plagueis, and held the active title longer than any other in Plagueis history.

When the home system of Clan Plagueis began to go supernova, Scorpius personally oversaw the construction of [[Diadem Fortress]] in the new system that Clan Plagueis would move to. As Prodigy of Plagueis at the time, Scorpius helped oversee defeating Crimson Tide pirates during the evacuation of the system. Once settled in the new Jusadih System, Scorpius became more involved with Plagueis politics. He served as the Tetrarch of Exar's Shadow and later Blades of Kun before become Quaestor of House Exar Kun. During his tenure as Quaestor, the [[Sixth Great Jedi War]] broke out and came all too close to House Exar Kun during the [[Assault on Diadem]]. During the assault, there was an assassination attempt on Scorpius' life as Aerunian Rebels and forces of Clan Naga Sadow attempted to destroy the bastion of House Exar Kun. With assistance from his aedile, Aabsdu, and Dark Adept Jonaleth Isradia, the enemy were finally defeated and driven back. As the war continued, Scorpius relinquished his role as Quaestor to serve Plagueis on a secret mission as the fleets of the Brotherhood moved to fight one another. Scarred and tired, when the war was over Scorpius oversaw the reconstruction of Diadem Fortress and then served as the Kunian Ambassador to the Aerunian Senate.

After this time, Scorpius became a prominent member of Clan Plagueis once more. He was assigned to the position of Proconsul of the clan and served for several months before the time had come for him to relinquish his power. He was adopted into the [[Dupar]] family.

===Seventh Great Jedi War===

One of the Archpriest's greatest battles took place during the [[Seventh Great Jedi War]], where he was forced into action, defending Aerun and the [[Diadem Fortress]]. It was early on in the war that Scorpius, and his former apprentice Dismal, were called upon to protect the Diadem Fortress from the Yuuzhan Vong invaders. They fought valiantly and with great honor, but ultimately the might of the alien force overcame them and they were forced into fleeing into space.

It was not long though before the Yuuzhan Vong caught up with Scorpius' and Dismal's ship, and with their cloaking device disabled, they were an easy target for their opponents. They were captured by the Yuuzhan Vong and brought back to the waiting Miid Ro'ik starship. Despite early attempts to fight their captors off, they were disabled and trapped inside the Embrace of Pain.

Luckily for Scorpius and Dismal, a well-trained Jedi strikeforce consisting of Plagueis' finest, [[Jaden Kyrath]], Anochiir and [[Galaphile]], came to their allies aid. Despite the brave rescue though, Scorpius was left severely wounded from the Embrace of Pain, and was left without his saber.

Following the Vong invasion, Scorpius went into forced exile, spending his time dealing with the scars he had gained from the Vong and meditating on the Force. Since that time much has changed in Clan Plagueis, and it looks like the Krath Archpriest may be ready to jump back into things....

==Personality==

Scorpius is a reserved, deliberate, and logical individual. He is protective of those who are under his charge or are loyal to him, and deadly to his enemies. He is a shred politician and strategist, very good with oratory and planning things out. His charisma has been of use to Clan Plagueis before as he gives stirring speeches to motivate Plagueis for battle.

He usually prefers to avoid official positions of leadership, often times serving like a true Krath from the shadows. Many Consuls, Proconsuls, and Quaestors in Plagueis have used Scorpius as a close advisor and confidant, turning to him to assist with problems and often including him as a de facto leader within Clan Plagueis.

Apart from skills in the art of ruling and strategy, he enjoys practicing history and Force philosophy, as well as perfecting his master of Makashi form lightsaber dueling.

[[Scorpius]] (62 BBY-Present) is a leading Dark Jedi within Clan Plagueis of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He is an Archpriest of the Krath Order. Formerly a Jedi Knight of the Old Republic, Scorpius was one of the many Jedi who fought in the Clone Wars. During the conflict however Scorpius was lost to the Dark Side of the Force while on a mission to Chandrila. He rose as a servant of the Dark Lords of the Sith and served faithfully in the Galactic Empire.

After the fall of the Empire, Scorpius took command of a small fleet of three Star Destroyers and fought on in the Imperial Remnant for many years, but his days were numbered as the New Jedi Order closed in on him. With all his struggles and victories in battle though, it was one of his own apprentices that finally bested him, stabbing him in the back and leaving him for dead.

Scorpius would not be beaten so easily though, and despite dying his spirit survived, and many years later was able to trick a young Jedi into bringing him back into one of his many clones. Almost severed completely from the Force during the transformation, Scorpius had lost all of his power that he once had though, and ventured to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood where he was trained once more.

== Character History ==

===Aristocracy and Birth===

The bloodline of the Scorpius Family can be traced as far back as 3997 BBY to Darth Scorpius, a participant in the Freedon Nadd Uprising. Since then, the Scorpii have been in records on Korriban, Ossus, Dantooine, Thyferra, Coruscant, and Chandrila. Various Scorpii were members of the Old Sith and Jedi Orders. The origin of the Scorpius Family can be traced to a small planet in the mid-rim that is not located on most standard galactic maps. The planet Risban has been politically and economically dominated by the Scorpius Family for centuries. The senior male member of the family was named the "Count" of Risban. The great-great grandfather of the present Scorpius, Lucius Myles Scorpius, founded ScorpCorp, a company of many different trades, and moved the family estate to Chandrila, all-the-while still maintaining control and influence over Risban. His grandfather, Count Finis Hadjus Scorpius, served one term as the senator of Chandrila.

Robel Antares Scorpius was born on Chandrila in 62 BBY to Magnus Scorpius and Sophia Antares. His parents were very influential in politics and business on Chandrila, his mother serving one term as mayor of Hanna City. Needless to say, the Scorpius Family had entered the political and economic aristocracy of Chandrila. It was expected that Robel would go on to become school in politics or business on Chandrila. One day he would inherit ScorpCorp. This all changed three years after his birth, however, when it was discovered that he was Force-sensitive.

A Jedi Knight on Chandrila named Joruun Kalp discovered that the young Scorpius was Force-sensitive. Robel was taken from his family and brought to Coruscant to train to be a Jedi.

He faced a squad of Galactic Marines led by Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi. Scorpius was also on the planet to allow elements of the 501st Legion to successfully manuever around Separatist forces and acquire an ancinet Mygeetan crystal to serve as the power source for a top-secret laser-stream project that the Sith were creating, codenamed Operation Hammertong-- this would eventually become the Death Star. Scorpius and the Jedi master dueled several times throughout the Mygeetan campaigns. As the Republic forces intensified a push to seize the Separatist base in the Mygeetan capital, Order 66 was issued. Scorpius watched in surprise as Mundi fought his way across a bridge before his troops stopped and trained their weapons on him. As Scorpius watched Mundi's betrayal, he felt the others around the galaxy as well. Across the stars, Jedi died. All of them at the same time. Darth Sidious was triumphant.

Realizing that the Clone Wars were over, and somewhat distraught by the lack of nobility in the deaths of the Jedi, Scorpius abandoned Mygeeto as the Republic forces onquered it. The Dark Acolyte quickly traveled to Coruscant as Palpatine gave a speech to the Senate outling a plot by the Jedi to assassinate him, and proclaimed himself emperor of the new Galactic Empire. Scorpius traveled to the Jedi Temple shortly after the new Darth Vader and the 501st Legion murdered every master, knight, and padawan in the temple; they had been betrated by their Chosen One. Scorpius took advantage of the time of chaos to slip into the Jedi Library, stepping over the bodies of Jocastu Nu and some young padawans to remove certain records for his own use.

The Clone Wars ended, the Jedi Order was wiped out, and a New Order had risen in its place.

===Empire, Remnant, and Death===

For his service to the Sith, Scorpius was given a position in Palpatine's Secret Order as one of his Dark Adepts, like other Force-sensitive individuals corrupted by the Dark Side. He was given the position of vice-admiral in the Imperial Starfleet, occasionally watching over ambitious admirals and moffs on behalf of the Emperor. He fought in many battles throughout the Galactic Civil War, and often he would work with those living in the shadows of the Empire, chiefly the Black Sun Crime Syndicate, to fulfill any wishes the Emperor asked of him. During this time, Scorpius also used cloning technology to create several clones of himself at a facility in Risban in case his own body should suffer physical distress. Scorpius was patrolling the Chandrila system when news of the deaths of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader at Endor reached him. Realizing that the Rebel Alliance was now on the verge of toppling the Empire and that the Jedi were reemerging with this new Luke Skywalker fellow, Scorpius took a small fleet consisting of three Star Destroyers and fled to the Risban system.

Eventually, Coruscant fell to the Rebellion, and the New Republic was established. Scorpius rose through the ranks of respect in the Imperial Remnant, and was briefly involved in Grand Admiral Thrawn's attempt to reestablish the Empire. His loyalty to Thrawn was chiefly because Scorpius knew little of an extra-galactic threat the Emperor had once warned of, and he knew that a strong Empire would be needed to repel this threat. When Thrawn was defeated and the New Republic, with its New Jedi Order, started eliminating Imperial warlords, Scorpius grew desperate. Scorpius had attracted his own small cadre of loyal followers and apprentices. Famosus Aspicio, James Bellador, and Syrus Korodin were all Force-sensitive and working with Scorpius to try to establish an order of Dark Jedi. Now having attained the full rank of Admiral and control of six Star Destroyers and two Corellian Blockade Runners, in 17 ABY Scorpius launched an attack on his home planet of Chandrila, hoping to hold the planet hostage and use it as a bargaining chip with the New Republic.

He nearly succeeded with his surprise attack, seizing control of Hanna City. Luke Skywalker dispatched several Jedi to deal with the Dark Jedi, and had even planted a mole inside of Scorpius' little group of followers. After a gruesome duel with a Jedi Knight named Fritz, Scorpius was attacked from behind by a Jedi apprentice named Alex Wiederspiel, who had been tricking Scorpius all this time and acting as one of his followers. Stabbed through the back, Scorpius suddenly felt how the Jedi must have felt when their own troops betrayed them. He stumbled back into a pit filled with snakes and died. The New Republic seized his fleet, and his followers fled.

But his spirit lingered, mustering all he could with the Dark Side of the Force to stay in this life....

===Rebirth and Brotherhood===

In 19 ABY, a young Jedi apprentice named Clover Eu'odea came across the spirit of Scorpius trapped in a holocron. Scorpius manipulated and tricked the young girl, convincing her to travel to Risban and resurrect Scorpius into once of his clone bodies. She did, and Scorpius emerged in a twenty-two-year-old version of himself. However, he was drastically cut off from the Force and severely weakened by his death and resurrection, the power he once had all-but-gone. He disposed of Clover with a blaster, and then decided to flee Risban before Republic forces discovered him. He entered his personal StarViper, ''The Scorpion,'' and made a dangerous blind jump into hyperspace.

By the sheer will of the Force, he exited hyperspace over the planet Byfrost, where he was picked up by members of Clan Exar Kun of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He joined the Brotherhood and began to retrain in the ways of the Dark Side, attaining the rank of Dark Jedi Knight under his master Braecen Triadus Isradia, later to be known as Braecen Kaeth Kunar. While in the Brotherhood he called upon his former allies--[[Famosus Aspicio]], James Bellador, and Syrus Korodin--to join him, which they did.

When the Dictum of the Two Skies was issued and Clan Plagueis was formed, Scorpius was placed in House Bane to command the battle team Heretics of Bane. The Heretics of Bane went on many successful missions under Scorpius before House Bane was shut down. Scorpius joined House Exar Kun. During missions against organizations like the Crimson Tide, Scorpius made close bonds and alliances with individuals like [[Aabsdu]], [[Galaphile]], [[Jonaleth Isradia]], [[Ashura Isradia]], and others. He also obtained the title Prodigy of Plagueis, and held the active title longer than any other in Plagueis history.

When the home system of Clan Plagueis began to go supernova, Scorpius personally oversaw the construction of [[Diadem Fortress]] in the new system that Clan Plagueis would move to. As Prodigy of Plagueis at the time, Scorpius helped oversee defeating Crimson Tide pirates during the evacuation of the system. Once settled in the new Jusadih System, Scorpius became more involved with Plagueis politics. He served as the Tetrarch of Exar's Shadow and later Blades of Kun before become Quaestor of House Exar Kun. During his tenure as Quaestor, the [[Sixth Great Jedi War]] broke out and came all too close to House Exar Kun during the [[Assault on Diadem]]. During the assault, there was an assassination attempt on Scorpius' life as Aerunian Rebels and forces of Clan Naga Sadow attempted to destroy the bastion of House Exar Kun. With assistance from his aedile, Aabsdu, and Dark Adept Jonaleth Isradia, the enemy were finally defeated and driven back. As the war continued, Scorpius relinquished his role as Quaestor to serve Plagueis on a secret mission as the fleets of the Brotherhood moved to fight one another. Scarred and tired, when the war was over Scorpius oversaw the reconstruction of Diadem Fortress and then served as the Kunian Ambassador to the Aerunian Senate.

After this time, Scorpius became a prominent member of Clan Plagueis once more. He was assigned to the position of Proconsul of the clan and served for several months before the time had come for him to relinquish his power.

===Seventh Great Jedi War===

One of the Archpriest's greatest battles took place during the [[Seventh Great Jedi War]], where he was forced into action, defending Aerun and the [[Diadem Fortress]]. It was early on in the war that Scorpius, and his former apprentice Dismal, were called upon to protect the Diadem Fortress from the Yuuzhan Vong invaders. They fought valiantly and with great honor, but ultimately the might of the alien force overcame them and they were forced into fleeing into space.

It was not long though before the Yuuzhan Vong caught up with Scorpius' and Dismal's ship, and with their cloaking device disabled, they were an easy target for their opponents. They were captured by the Yuuzhan Vong and brought back to the waiting Miid Ro'ik starship. Despite early attempts to fight their captors off, they were disabled and trapped inside the Embrace of Pain.

Luckily for Scorpius and Dismal, a well-trained Jedi strikeforce consisting of Plagueis' finest, [[Jaden Kyrath]], Anochiir and [[Galaphile]], came to their allies aid. Despite the brave rescue though, Scorpius was left severely wounded from the Embrace of Pain, and was left without his saber.

Following the Vong invasion, Scorpius went into forced exile, spending his time dealing with the scars he had gained from the Vong and meditating on the Force. Since that time much has changed in Clan Plagueis, and it looks like the Krath Archpriest may be ready to jump back into things....

==Personality==

Scorpius is a reserved, deliberate, and logical individual. He is protective of those who are under his charge or are loyal to him, and deadly to his enemies. He is a shred politician and strategist, very good with oratory and planning things out. His charisma has been of use to Clan Plagueis before as he gives stirring speeches to motivate Plagueis for battle.

He usually prefers to avoid official positions of leadership, often times serving like a true Krath from the shadows. Many Consuls, Proconsuls, and Quaestors in Plagueis have used Scorpius as a close advisor and confidant, turning to him to assist with problems and often including him as a de facto leader within Clan Plagueis.

Apart from skills in the art of ruling and strategy, he enjoys practicing history and Force philosophy, as well as perfecting his master of Makashi form lightsaber dueling.

=== Dictum of Two Skies ===

The once great Clan Exar Kun was weakened and in shambles, clinging to the shreds of its previous glory and honor as corruption began to spread throughout the Clan. Clan Satal Keto was in the same state as the once glorious Exar Kun, forcing the Dark Council to intervene. In its entirety, the legendary Star Chamber visited the remnants of Exar Kun and Satal Keto, and pronounced the Dictum of Two Skies. There could no longer be two fates for these Clans; they would unite now as one, and lend the strengths of both to a new order for them. The composure of this Clan would be decided in ritual combat; the weak would perish so that the strong might survive.

And thus the Dictum of Two Skies was carried out. New members came to the field, and for a month, Jedi fought Jedi in battle for supremacy, and when the dust finally fell, a new band stood together, united by victory and strength, their weaknesses purged and cleansed in a trial by fire. From the ashes of two Clans arose a new one: Plagueis, a new life born of death. Then the Dictum was released, and as their final act, the Elders of the Star Chamber worked a great feat of Force magic - grasping the skeins of reality itself, they wove together the twin fates of Exar Kun and Satal Keto, and merged their powers into one. And with that the two once great Clans became Houses of the newly formed Clan Plagueis.
The Crimson Tide Emerges

The Crimson Tide became a threat to the recently formed Exar Kun in the Elysian Sector. A pirate organization of exceptional skill and well equipped, the Crimson Tide attacked the shipping and trade routes of House Exar Kun and its possessions. Eventually the brutality and continual disruptions of the Crimson Tide, forced the Clan and the House to act.

The Crimson Tide attacks were disastrously efficient and well planned and if pirate organization continued it would have only been a matter of time before the entire Clan was brought to its knees. Unbeknownst to House Exar Kun, the Tide had more entrenched plans than they expected. The organization had successfully implanted itself throughout the Elysian sector and infiltrated a once desolate region of Ysgard, establishing a highly sophisticated and protected base. The Crimson Tide was more than a minor pirate threat to House Exar Kun.

To combat the entrenched Crimson Tide, House Exar Kun prepared a intricate plan involving the both Battle Teams, Exar’s Shadow and Blades of Kun, along with various upper level House members on separate missions. The House was extremely successful in their missions, destroying the Tide’s Dreadnaught flagship, Ysgard base and the infrastructure within the sector. Unusually, during the mission, an Imperator-class Mark II Star Destroyer appeared and was boarded. The Star Destroyer was vacant, at the House Summit chose to destroy it rather than risk discovering why it was deserted. House Exar Kun had met its first major challenge and successfully united and defeated it.

=== Exar’s Shadow Shines ===

The fourth planet from the sun, Eden, was the location of the once active House Byss then Bane. Shortly after the suspected defeat of the Crimson Tide, House Exar Kun received a signal from the deserted planet and tasked Exar’s Shadow Battle Team with investigation. Originally, the House leadership and intelligence believe that the beckon signal was no more than natives intervening in areas they should not be. Little did the House know it was more complicated.

Upon arrival to the fourth planet of Eden, Exar’s Shadow was already expected by what appeared to be Imperials. During the battles, the Battle Team determined that they were pirates, of none other than the destroyed Crimson Tide. In addition, Exar’s Shadow came in contact with Dark Side users who were well trained in the arts. While throwing the Battle Team off, they successfully defeated this new and unexpected enemy.

After investigation, it was discovered that the Crimson Tide was interested in seizing an artificial intelligence known as Firefly. Firefly was created to guard the knowledge and secrets gained by House Byss and later Bane. Firefly’s task was to take information, link it and extract patters and meanings that even the wisest Krath could not fathom. Foolishly, the pirate organization believed that the Firefly was left in the House Bane complex but it was taken during the closure of Bane and was stored in the vaults of Castle Frost.

In the final move by Exar’s Shadow, the Battle Team ambushed evacuating Crimson Tide members and captured their leader, Alonzo Bodelle. Exar’s Shadow successfully restrained the Crimson Tide pirate chief to return him to Castle Frost for interrogaton. In a closing measure, the Battle Team members ordered the removal of foreign materials and dead bodies from the planet and reactivated the House’s security systems, ensuring that no one trespasses again.

=== Kun’s Requiem Razes ===

On Elysian rested a great temple that Kun’s Requiem was charged to investigate for possible activity. The House leaders pitted Exar’s Shadow and Kun’s Requiem against one another on separate important missions, hoping that both Battle Teams would force the other to excel. In addition, the temple mission was one that was not set to be overly dangerous and in the House leaders’ opinion, inter-House rivalry was needed. (The mission Exar’s Shadow was tasked with is written above.)

Upon reaching the temple, the Battle Team discovered a defensive perimeter already in place. It was as the House leaders had feared, a pirate organization has set up a base right under the Dark Jedi’s noses. With great skill, Kun’s Requiem successfully disabled the defenses and invaded the temple. The Battle Team discovered a research facility and after questioning the chief scientist, Kun’s Requiem engaged in total destruction of the temple’s facilities. The ruined facility became evidence of the infamous Crimson Tide had survived.

After the minor interrogation, Kun’s Requiem discovered that the Tide was going to strike. The Battle Team took the various fighters and shuttle it possessed and prepared for battle. The battle began as the Battle Team was in the midst of preparations; the pirate organization had known the Dark Jedi were coming. Outnumbered over six times, the Battle Team entered the fray, with six TIE Defenders and one shuttle.

After a long battle, the pirates eventually surrendered and requested that the Dark Jedi board their vessel. Against their better judgment, Kun’s Requiem entered the pirate ship. With a safe entrance, the Battle Team prepared for a trap. After being invited for drinks, with Imperial-dressed officers, Kun’s Requiem sprung the trap. In the ship’s mess, the Battle Team destroyed the majority of the crew and began to exterminate the rest of the pirates. With the skill of veteran Dark Jedi and the Dark Side of the Force, Kun’s Requiem destroyed the pirates and after escaping the ship, destroyed it. The Battle Team had discovered remnants of the Crimson Tide in their mission, causing for unrest to spread throughout the members of the now infamous Kun’s Requiem.

=== Abandoning Acarr, Jusidah Becomes Home ===

In the Acarr system, the sun was shuddering with anger. The great feat of the Star Chamber, the Dictum of the Two Skies, had distorted reality by merging the great powers of Exar Kun and Satal Keto, causing the heart of the great star of Sigil to falter. The doom was close, but the Clan and Houses still had time to act. With great speed, the Clan mobilized and began evacuation, fleeing to the Jusidah system.

During the evacuation, the dreaded Crimson Tide returned to seek vengeance on their defeaters, and launched an attack on the moving Plagueis forces. The Clan fought valiantly, and despite overwhelming odds against them, held back the Tide forces until the evacuation could be completed. In a final act of malign vengeance, Consul Kir Katarn and Proconsul Aristan Dantes blockaded the system, trapping the majority of the mercenary forces within as Sigil went supernova.

With the bulk of the pirate organization destroyed, House Exar Kun began construction of their primary headquarters on their new planet of Aerun, a peaceful planet engulfed in deadly forests.

=== Recapturing the Captured ===

For months Battle Team Exar's Shadow, led by Aabsdu, interrogated Alonzo Bodelle, but they could pull nothing valuable from him. One night, a small squad of pirates unrelated to the Crimson Tide invaded Diadem Fortress. They released Alonzo from his sell and stole blueprints to the Dark Tower on Jusadih.

Quaestor Braecen quickly sent the house's two battle teams, Exar's Shadow and Blades of Kun, after the pirates. They chased each other for nine days before finally coming to an epic battle over the planet of Dathomir. Blades of Kun fought the forces in space, while Exar's Shadow boarded the pirates' capital ship, The Killer. Exar's Shadow placed bombs all throughout the ship, and detonated them while Commander Aabsdu searched for Alonzo. In the end, however, the team was forced to retreat as the ship started to fall apart. They left, sure that Alonzo and the rest of the pirates had been killed.

They were unaware, however, that Alonzo had in fact survived. He made his way to Dathomir, where he met up with the rest of the Crimson Tide, and slowly they formed their plan to attack Clan Plagueis once again.

=== Great Jedi War ===

The Sixth Great Jedi War was a time of darkness for House Exar Kun as enemy forces moved to wipe the Dark Jedi from the face of Aerun. As the Dark Brotherhood split in two, half of the clans supporting the so-called Red Jac and the other having rallying behind the Blue Jac, rogue Dark Jedi of Clan Naga Sadow convinced growing anti-Kunian forces on Aerun to revolt and assault Diadem Fortress. Realizing that rebel sentiments were growing on Aerun, Quaestor [[Scorpius]] made his way to the Aerunian Senate to put them in line. En route, however, his shuttle was attacked and shot down. Aerunian rebel forces, with support from rogue Naga Sadow Dark Jedi, then attacked Diadem Fortress. Jonaleth Isradia and Aedile Aabsdu managed to hold off the attackers until Scorpius crawled out of the Decarian Jungle, bloody and bruised, to help fight off the enemy forces.

In the battle, the Blades of Kun were almost completely obliterated by the attacking forces and minor damage was inflicted on Castle Diadem. The Kunians successfully fended off the attack and captured the rebel leader, whom Scorpius publicly executed before the Aerunian Senate as a show of what happens when House Exar Kun is crossed.

House Exar Kun did not have too much time to lick its wounds, however, as the Clan Summit called them to battle for Plagueis and the Jac they supported on Antei. Scorpius resigned as Quaestor at this time to pursue a secret mission the Consul had sent him on, and Aabsdu replaced him to lead Kunian forces on Antei against the rival clans. When all was settled, the House of Exar Kun returned home to Diadem Fortress, tired and torn but ready to pursue a new dawn of glory for Exar Kun.

=== New Dawn ===

In the short time House Exar Kun had been established, a great deal of activities and successes has become part of its history. The House’s success has already brought it great prestige and nostalgia of the glory days of Clan Exar Kun could be heard throughout the Diadem Fortress on Aerun. The House is more than ready to attain great glory; it is only a matter of time until House Exar Kun is given the chance.

[[Diadem Fortress]] is the home of House Exar Kun of Clan Plagueis, and is one of the strongest Dark Jedi bastions in the Jusadih System.

==Structure==
Deep within the forests of the Decarian jungles rests Castle Diadem, the fortress home of the members of [[House Exar Kun]] of [[Clan Plagueis]]. Surrounded by the dangers of a jungle riddled with the influence and powers of the Dark Side of the Force, there is no more suitable home for Exar Kun on all Aerun.

===Entrances to the Castle===

The outside of the Castle is dark and menacing, yet revealing of House Exar Kun's power and glory. Stone and steel come together to create this large, sprawling fortress, somewhat reminiscent of the great Massassi Temples on Yavin IV that Exar Kun controlled so long ago. The Castle contains three public entrances and exits. The first entrance is located in the front of the Castle, facing east. To get through this entrance, one passes by the Pillars of Kun, two large stone statues of the great Lord Exar Kun. Whilst they may seem mere decorations, they conceal laser turrets and a holorecorder.

One then passes down a cobbled pathway that contains the large, 20 meter high bronzium statues of the former Consuls of Clan Exar Kun, each with smaller busts of their proconsuls beside them. The first is Khan, towering over the pathway with the marble bust of Khalin beside him. Next, Khalin stands tall, the bust of [[Jonaleth Isradia]] beside the former consul. Thirdly is the tall statue of Jonaleth Isradia, a droid-operated watch tower behind the statue of the Dark Side Adept. Beside Isradia is the former proconsul Esca Teiko Isradia. Next, and last, in the line is Lord [[Chi-Long]], [[Grand Master]] Emeritus. The former Dark Lord of the Sith glares down at the pathway, his eyes holding cameras that monitor all who pass through the pathway into the home of Exar Kun. Beside Chi is the bust of Braecen Triadus Isradia, the last proconsul of Clan Exar Kun.

After one passes the mammoth statues, two magnificently large black doors lead to the Entrance Hall of Exar Kun. On the doors are intricate carvings depicting the entire life story of the great Sith Lord. Upon opening the doors, one enters into a circular entrance hall. A black marble floor graced the hall, with the enlarged symbol of Clan Plagueis in the center of the circle and the symbol of House Exar Kun gracing the middle of the Plagueis Crest. On the wall straight across from the entrance is a large statue of Lord Exar Kun, standing solemnly above one of seven doors in the room. This door leads to the Chambers of Diadem, one of the larger rooms in the building that is used to hold House meetings.

===House Quarters===

Starting from the right, the first door leads off to the House Quarters. This is where the members of House Exar Kun live. The rooms of the Journeymen are rather plain; they consisted of a cot, a single dresser, and a place to hold their medal case and other personal items. For those the rank of Dark Jedi Knight or higher, the rooms are slightly larger, holding an extra shelf for holocrons, manuscripts, and other items, as well as a shelf for lightsabers and other weapons they might possess. The rooms of the House Summit, including the battle team leaders, also hold their own personal HoloNet ports and communication consoles. The Quaestor’s and Aedile’s rooms are at the end of the hall. Guest quarters are also available, and are slightly more lavish and comfortable than the other rooms.

===Training Annex and Vehicle Storage===

The second door heads off to the Diadem Training Annex, which houses several vital rooms to House Exar Kun. It is in the Training Annex that the Exar Kun Armory is kept, holding an assortment of weapons and armor to be used in battle. There are four separate combat centers in the Annex: one for Exar's Shadow, one for the Blades of Kun, one for general use, and one for private sessions between members. There is also a flight simulation device in the Annex for those younger members who are just learning how to fly. It is the perfect place for masters to train their younger, inexperienced students.

The third leads outside to the Landing Platform and Hangar Bay. This is the entrance one would use if arriving by shuttle or starfighter, and is where guests are most often received. House ships and fighters are stored in the hangar bay, as well as the personal vessels of the members of Exar Kun. On the ground level rests a storage place for the House’s ground vehicles, holding everything from speeders to walkers. This garage leads off right into the forest.

===Back Door and Library===

The fifth door leads to the back entrance of Castle Diadem. Through this exit many members of House Exar Kun head off into the jungle to explore, or provides an access to the Ash Citadel, where members can mediate or train in the Dark Side of the Force. A path connects it to the vehicle garage, allowing the members of Exar Kun to retrieve speeders to go off on adventures. Often times, masters send off their pupils from this exit to embark on rigorous missions and trials.

The sixth door goes off to the Library of Exar Kun. Here, copies of documents needed to study in the Shadow Academy are kept, along with the histories and lore of the Sith, Krath, and Obelisk orders. Likewise, a history of the life of Exar Kun is kept, written by members of the House. A guide to crafting lightsabers rests on the shelves of the library, available only to Jedi Hunters and above. Stories, poetry, works of art, and other documents created by the members of House Exar Kun are stored in this fantastic library. On the far wall of the library is a cabinet that holds all the trophies and awards won by the House.

===Meeting Chambers===

The seventh and final door in the Entrance Hall leads off to the smaller conference and meeting chambers of House Exar Kun. Here, the officers of the Quaestor, Aedile, Rollmaster, and Battle Team Leaders rest, available for members of Exar Kun to approach and ask questions. Small conference and briefing chambers holding all sorts of fantastic little computers and other bits of technology are positioned in various parts of this area. The war room also exists through this door, holding computers and such that track all things happening around the planet and monitoring the security of Castle Diadem.

===Outside the Castle===

Around Castle Diadem is a stone wall, reinforced by shields. Droid-operated laser turrets are positioned every thirteen meters, as well as holorecorders. Several small ion cannons and anti-air turrets rest on the taller towers of the castle to ward off any aerial attacks. The jungles of Decaria offer both natural protection and danger at the same time to the members of House Exar Kun. While a single, somewhat-protected path connects Castle Diadem to the Ash Citadel, much of the surrounding jungle remains unexplored and untamed, waiting for the Dark Jedi to venture forth and learn more about their new home, and the secrets of the Dark Side.

==History==

The castle was designed to be a safe-haven for a clan plagued by the [[Crimson Tide]] pirates and other problems. Scorpius oversaw the construction of the fortress shortly before Clan Plagueis relocated to the Jusadih System and House Exar Kun made its home on Aerun. It was built to withstand assaults by natives, pirates, and rival clans, and to serve as a bastion where members of Clan Plagueis could retreat to in emergencies.

The castle also serves as a symbol of the power of Clan Plagueis and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood to the natives of Aerun. The menacing structure rises high above the trees of the Decarian Jungle, a standing tribute to the might of Plagueis. From Diadem, House Exar Kun exercises its control over the affairs of the planet.

The clan has since withstood one massive attack, the [[Assault on Diadem]] during the Sixth Great Jedi War. Following the assault, newly-appointed Quaestor Aabsdu and Scorpius oversaw an update of Diadem's defenses to prevent such a breach of security from happening again.

[[Scorpius]] (62 BBY-Present) is a leading Dark Jedi within Clan Plagueis of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He is an Archpriest in the Krath Order and currently serves as the Proconsul of Clan Plagueis.

== Character History ==

===Aristocracy and Birth===

The bloodline of the Scorpius Family can be traced as far back as 3997 BBY to Darth Scorpius, a participant in the Freedon Nadd Uprising. Since then, the Scorpii have been in records on Korriban, Ossus, Dantooine, Thyferra, Coruscant, and Chandrila. Various Scorpii were members of the Old Sith and Jedi Orders. The origin of the Scorpius Family can be traced to a small planet in the mid-rim that is not located on most standard galactic maps. The planet Risban has been politically and economically dominated by the Scorpius Family for centuries. The senior male member of the family was named the "Count" of Risban. The great-great grandfather of the present Scorpius, Lucius Myles Scorpius, founded ScorpCorp, a company of many different trades, and moved the family estate to Chandrila, all-the-while still maintaining control and influence over Risban. His grandfather, Count Finis Hadjus Scorpius, served one term as the senator of Chandrila.

Robel Antares Scorpius was born on Chandrila in 62 BBY to Magnus Scorpius and Sophia Antares. His parents were very influential in politics and business on Chandrila, his mother serving one term as mayor of Hanna City. Needless to say, the Scorpius Family had entered the political and economic aristocracy of Chandrila. It was expected that Robel would go on to become school in politics or business on Chandrila. One day he would inherit ScorpCorp. This all changed three years after his birth, however, when it was discovered that he was Force-sensitive.

A Jedi Knight on Chandrila named Joruun Kalp discovered that the young Scorpius was Force-sensitive. Robel was taken from his family and brought to Coruscant to train to be a Jedi.

===Jedi Knight===

Scorpius trained as a Jedi at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, showing great skill as a padawan in the areas of stategy, Force philosophy, and classical lightsaber duelling. He even received some training sessions as a padawan from the great Jedi Master Dooku, one of the best saberists in the Order. The great Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi took Scorpius as his padawan, and trained the young man in the ways of the Jedi. In 40 BBY, at the age of twenty-two, Scorpius became a young Jedi Knight.

Given his family's influence, throughout his training Scorpius managed to keep in contact with his parents and siblings. Ki-Adi-Mundi, who himself had four wives and several children, discouraged Scorpius from doing so but did not stop him. Throughout his time in the Jedi Order, Scorpius had developed a keen interest in politics and upon reaching Jedi Knight often served as a liaison between the Jedi Council and the Senate. Through this Scorpius made a name for himself as a shrewd political thinker and strategist, and also rose to become a master of Makashi lightsaber form. Indeed, he was set to do good things for the Jedi Order.

When a small anti-Republic movement on Chandrila began to form into a militia and threaten rebellion, the Jedi Council dispatched a team of Jedi and Republic security forces to help quell any militant actions. Given his ties with and knowledge of Chandrila, Jedi Knight Scorpius was placed on the team. This would turn out to be a major mistake.

===Descent to Darkness and the Clone Wars===

''I killed them... The entire squad that attacked my family. That killed my family. The Jedi will regret letting this happen. I will make sure of it.'' ~From the Private Journals of R. Antares Scorpius, Entry 1.

In 34 BBY, a wealthy Chandrilan named Gaius Zorag convinced the governor of Copmol City on Chandrila, Julian Pole, do join him in an effort to free Chandrila from the 'bureuacratic tyranny' of the Republic. Together they formed the Chandrilan Liberation Society and attracted nearly two thousand militant supporters to the society. The Chandrilan government sent a plea of help to the Senate, who dispatched a small group of Jedi Knights with Republic Security Forces to quell the growing dissidents before they caused too much damage. Leading the mission was Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi, accompanid by Jedi Knights Scorpius and Joruun Kalp.

The Republic Security Forces were unseasoned, however, and the Chandrilan Security Forces were made up of mostly lower-class citizens who held a disdain for the aristocracy on Chandrila. Manor Scorpius, where the Scorpius Family made its home on Chandrila, was in the rebellious territory. As the security forces were moving through the land, they came upon the manor and opened fire on it as if it were an enemy stronghold, murdering Robel's parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Jedi Knight Joruun Kalp arrived right after the attack and rushed to try heal the dying people, but he could not. As he started to leave the burning home, Scorpius arrived, having felt the deaths.

In a fit of rage the Jedi Knight murdered his fellow knight Joruun Kalp. Then he chased down the group responsible for the attack and killed last member of the security squad, their bodies littering the Chandrilan countryside. While this was happening, Ki-Adi-Mundi was leading the assault on the rebel stronghold, and felt the death of Joruun Kalp. He was thus prepared when Scorpius arrived, blaming the Republic for the death of his family and the Jedi for being powerless to stop it. He and his master began to duel, but when it became apparent that Scorpius could not win, he left the planet with the retreating Gaius Zorag adn the secessionists. The Chandrilan Uprising was quelled, but it had cost two Jedi Knights.

Scorpius left the Jedi Order and suddenly found himself, with the death of his father, as the heir to a multi-billion credt intergalactic company and a noble title on the planet of Risban. He spent the next few years of his life in private, maintaing ScorpCorp and working with an up-and-coming starship technology pioneer named Raith Sienar. By the end of the Battle of Naboo, Scorpius had already accumulated a vast fortune. However, Scorpius still wished for revenge against the Jedi. With rumors of a Sith reemergence at Naboo, stories of the Jedi 'Chosen One' being taught at the Jedi Temple, and a curious bounty posted by an old Jedi that Scorpius had trained under briefly, Count Dooku, a growing disturbance in the Force brought Scorpius' interests back to Coruscant.

In 28 BBY, Count Dooku approached Scorpius and revealed that he was a Dark Lord of the Sith. He promised Scorpius power and vengeance, and after Scorpius had proved his worth and loyalty through a series of tasks, the ex-Jedi Knight was made a Dark Acolyte, a pupil of Darth Tyrannus and servant to his master, the elusive Darth Sidious. Scorpius served as an assassin for the Sith Lords, eliminating certain politicians and businessmen who stood in their way. When the Clone Wars broke out, Scorpius was served as an admiral in the Separatist forces. He fought in many battles throughout the Clone Wars, and more than once he faced and killed servants of the Jedi Order. As the Clone Wars neared an explosive end, Scorpius was controlling the Separatist forces on the InterGalactic Banking Clan's ice-covered planet of Mygeeto.

''Just like the rest of them, though, he never caught whiff of what was really going on. Not until it was far too late.'' ~501st Legion on Ki-Adi-Mundi.

Mygeeto was one of the bastions of the Separatist Army. When General Grievous left the planet to deal with other campaigns and San Hill was transported to safety elsewhere, Scorpius was placed in charge of Separatist forces on the planet. He faced a squad of Galactic Marines led by his old master, Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi. Scorpius was also on the planet to allow elements of the 501st Legion to successfully manuever around Separatist forces and acquire an ancinet Mygeetan crystal to serve as the power source for a top-secret laser-stream project that the Sith were creating, codenamed Operation Hammertong-- this would eventually become the Death Star. Scorpius and his old master dueled dueled several times throughout the Mygeetan campaigns. As the Republic forces intensified a push to seize Scorpius' base in the Mygeetan capital, Order 66 was issued. Scorpius watched in horror as his former master fought his way across a bridge before his troops stopped and trained their weapons on Ki-Adi-Mundi. As Scorpius watched Mundi's betrayal, he felt the others around the galaxy as well. Across the stars, Jedi died. All of them at the same time. Darth Sidious was triumphant.

Realizing that the Clone Wars were over, and somewhat distraught by the lack of nobility in the deaths of the Jedi, Scorpius abandoned Mygeeto as the Republic forces onquered it. The Dark Acolyte quickly traveled to Coruscant as Palpatine gave a speech to the Senate outling a plot by the Jedi to assassinate him, and proclaimed himself emperor of the new Galactic Empire. Scorpius traveled to the Jedi Temple shortly after the new Darth Vader and the 501st Legion murdered every master, knight, and padawan in the temple; they had been betrated by their Chosen One. Scorpius took advantage of the time of chaos to slip into the Jedi Library, stepping over the bodies of Jocastu Nu and some young padawans to remove certain records for his own use.

The Clone Wars ended, the Jedi Order was wiped out, and a New Order had risen in its place.

===Empire, Remnant, and Death===

For his service to the Sith, Scorpius was given a position in Palpatine's Secret Order as one of his Dark Adepts. He was given the position of vice-admiral in the Imperial Starfleet, watching over ambitious admirals and moffs on behalf of the Emperor. He fought in many battles throughout the Galactic Civil War, and often he would work with those living in the shadows of the Empire, chiefly the Black Sun Crime Syndicate, to fulfill any wishes the Emperor asked of him. During this time, Scorpius also used cloning technology to create several clones of himself at a facility in Risban in case his own body should suffer physical distress. Scorpius was patrolling the Chandrila system when news of the deaths of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader at Endor reached him. Realizing that the Rebel Alliance was now on the verge of toppling the Empire and that the Jedi were reemerging with this new Luke Skywalker fellow, Scorpius took a small fleet consisting of three Star Destroyers and fled to the Risban system.

Soon, Coruscant fell to the Rebellion, and the New Republic was established. Scorpius rose through the ranks of respect in the Imperial Remnant, and was briefly involved in Grand Admiral Thrawn's attempt to reestablish the Empire. His loyalty was Thrawn was chiefly because Scorpius knew little of an extra-galactic threat the Emperor had once warned of, and he knew that a strong Empire would be needed to repel this threat. When Thrawn was defeated and the New Republic, with its New Jedi Order, started eliminating Imperial warlords, Scorpius grew desperate. Scorpius had attracted his own small cadre of loyal followers and apprentices. Famosus Aspicio, James Bellador, Syrus Korodin, and Daniel Black were all Force-sensitive and working with Scorpius to try to establish an order of Dark Jedi. Now having attained the full rank of Admiral and control of six Star Destroyers and two Corellian Blockade Runners, and in 17 ABY Scorpius launched an attack on his home planet of Chandrila, hoping to conquer the planet and use it as a bargaining chip with the New Republic.

He nearly succeeded with his surprise attack, seizing control of Hanna City. Luke Skywalker dispatched several Jedi to deal with the Dark Jedi, and had even planted a mole inside of Scorpius' little group of followers. After a gruesome duel with the infamous Kyle Katarn and Jedi Knight Fritz, Scorpius was attacked from behind by a Jedi apprentice named Alex Wiederspiel, who had been tricking Scorpius all this time and acting as one of his follows. Stabbed through the back, Scorpius suddenly felt how the Jedi must have felt when their own troops betrayed them. He stumbled back into a pit filled with snakes and died. The New Republic seized his fleet, and his followers fled.

But his spirit lingered...

===Rebirth and Brotherhood===

In 19 ABY, a young Jedi apprentice named Clover Eu'odea came across the spirit of Scorpius trapped in a holocron. Scorpius manipulated and tricked the young girl, convincing her to travel to Risban and resurrect Scorpius into once of his clone bodies. She did, and Scorpius emerged in a 19-year-old version of himself. However, he was drastically cut off from the Force and severely weakened by his death and resurrection, the power he once had all-but-gone. He disposed of Clover with a blaster, and then decided to flee Risban before Republic forces discovered him. He entered his personal StarViper, ''The Scorpion,'' and made a dangerous blind jump into hyperspace.

By the sheer will of the Force, he exited hyperspace over the planet Byfrost, where he was picked up by members of Clan Exar Kun of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He joined the Brotherhood and began to retrain in the ways of the Dark Side, attaining the rank of Dark Jedi Knight under his master Braecen Triadus Isradia, later to be known as Braecen Kaeth Kunar. While in the Brotherhood he called upon his former allies--[[Famosus Aspicio]], James Bellador, and Syrus Korodin--to join him, which they did.

When the Dictum of the Two Skies was issued and Clan Plagueis was formed, Scorpius was placed in House Bane to command the battle team Heretics of Bane. The Heretics of Bane went on many successful missions under Scorpius before House Bane was shut down. Scorpius joined House Exar Kun. During missions against organizations like the Crimson Tide, Scorpius made close bonds and alliances with individuals like [[Aabsdu di Plagia Dupar al'Tor]], [[Galaphile al'Tor]], [[Jonaleth Isradia]], [[Ashura Isradia]], and others. He also obtained the title Prodigy of Plagueis, as held the active title longer than any other in Plagueis history.

When the home system of Clan Plagueis began to go supernova, Scorpius personally oversaw the construction of [[Diadem Fortress]] in the new system that Clan Plagueis would move to. As Prodigy of Plagueis at the time, Scorpius helped oversee defeating Crimson Tide pirates during the evacuation of the system. Once settled in the new Jusadih System, Scorpius became more involved with Plagueis politics. He served as the Tetrarch of Exar's Shadow and later Blades of Kun before become Quaestor of House Exar Kun. During his tenure as Quaestor, the [[Sixth Great Jedi War]] broke out and came all too close to House Exar Kun during the [[Assault on Diadem Fortress]]. During the assault, there was an assassination attempt on Scorpius' life as Aerunian Rebels and forces of Clan Naga Sadow attempted to destroy the bastion of House Exar Kun. With assistance from his aedile, Aabsdu, and Dark Adept Jonaleth Isradia, the enemy were finally defeated and driven back. As the war continued, Scorpius relinquished his role as Quaestor to serve Plagueis on a secret mission as the fleets of the Brotherhood moved to fight one another. Scarred and tired, when the war was over Scorpius oversaw the reconstruction of Diadem Fortress and then served as the Kunian Ambassador to the Aerunian Senate.

Recently, Scorpius has once again entered public life in Clan Plagueis and, now a Krath Archpriest, serves as Proconsul. He is presently the highest-ranking Krath Equite in Clan Plagueis.

==Personality==

Scorpius is a reserved, deliberate, and logical individual. He is protective of those who are under his charge or are loyal to him, and deadly to his enemies. He is a shred politician and strategist, very good with oratory and planning things out. His charisma has been of use to Clan Plagueis before as he gives stirring speeches to motivate Plagueis for battle.

He usually prefers to avoid official positions of leadership, often times serving like a true Krath from the shadows. Many Consuls, Proconsuls, and Quaestors in Plagueis have used Scorpius as a close advisor and confidant, turning to him to assist with problems and often including him as a de facto leader within Clan Plagueis.

Apart from skills in the art of ruling and strategy, he enjoys practicing history and Force philosophy, as well as perfecting his master of Makashi form lightsaber dueling.

[[Scorpius]] (62 BBY-Present) is a leading Dark Jedi within Clan Plagueis of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He is an Archpriest in the Krath Order and currently serves as the Proconsul of Clan Plagueis.

== Character History ==

===Aristocracy and Birth===

The bloodline of the Scorpius Family can be traced as far back as 3997 BBY to Darth Scorpius, a participant in the Freedon Nadd Uprising. Since then, the Scorpii have been in records on Korriban, Ossus, Dantooine, Thyferra, Coruscant, and Chandrila. Various Scorpii were members of the Old Sith and Jedi Orders. The origin of the Scorpius Family can be traced to a small planet in the mid-rim that is not located on most standard galactic maps. The planet Risban has been politically and economically dominated by the Scorpius Family for centuries. The senior male member of the family was named the "Count" of Risban. The great-great grandfather of the present Scorpius, Lucius Myles Scorpius, founded ScorpCorp, a company of many different trades, and moved the family estate to Chandrila, all-the-while still maintaining control and influence over Risban. His grandfather, Count Finis Hadjus Scorpius, served one term as the senator of Chandrila.

Robel Antares Scorpius was born on Chandrila in 62 BBY to Magnus Scorpius and Sophia Antares. His parents were very influential in politics and business on Chandrila, his mother serving one term as mayor of Hanna City. Needless to say, the Scorpius Family had entered the political and economic aristocracy of Chandrila. It was expected that Robel would go on to become school in politics or business on Chandrila. One day he would inherit ScorpCorp. This all changed three years after his birth, however, when it was discovered that he was Force-sensitive.

A Jedi Knight on Chandrila named Joruun Kalp discovered that the young Scorpius was Force-sensitive. Robel was taken from his family and brought to Coruscant to train to be a Jedi.

===Jedi Knight===

Scorpius trained as a Jedi at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, showing great skill as a padawan in the areas of stategy, Force philosophy, and classical lightsaber duelling. He even received some training sessions as a padawan from the great Jedi Master Dooku, one of the best saberists in the Order. The great Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi took Scorpius as his padawan, and trained the young man in the ways of the Jedi. In 40 BBY, at the age of twenty-two, Scorpius became a young Jedi Knight.

Given his family's influence, throughout his training Scorpius managed to keep in contact with his parents and siblings. Ki-Adi-Mundi, who himself had four wives and several children, discouraged Scorpius from doing so but did not stop him. Throughout his time in the Jedi Order, Scorpius had developed a keen interest in politics and upon reaching Jedi Knight often served as a liaison between the Jedi Council and the Senate. Through this Scorpius made a name for himself as a shrewd political thinker and strategist, and also rose to become a master of Makashi lightsaber form. Indeed, he was set to do good things for the Jedi Order.

When a small anti-Republic movement on Chandrila began to form into a militia and threaten rebellion, the Jedi Council dispatched a team of Jedi and Republic security forces to help quell any militant actions. Given his ties with and knowledge of Chandrila, Jedi Knight Scorpius was placed on the team. This would turn out to be a major mistake.

===Descent to Darkness and the Clone Wars===

''I killed them... The entire squad that attacked my family. That killed my family. The Jedi will regret letting this happen. I will make sure of it.'' ~From the Private Journals of R. Antares Scorpius, Entry 1.

In 34 BBY, a wealthy Chandrilan named Gaius Zorag convinced the governor of Copmol City on Chandrila, Julian Pole, do join him in an effort to free Chandrila from the 'bureuacratic tyranny' of the Republic. Together they formed the Chandrilan Liberation Society and attracted nearly two thousand militant supporters to the society. The Chandrilan government sent a plea of help to the Senate, who dispatched a small group of Jedi Knights with Republic Security Forces to quell the growing dissidents before they caused too much damage. Leading the mission was Jedi Master Ki-Adi-Mundi, accompanid by Jedi Knights Scorpius and Joruun Kalp.

The Republic Security Forces were unseasoned, however, and the Chandrilan Security Forces were made up of mostly lower-class citizens who held a disdain for the aristocracy on Chandrila. Manor Scorpius, where the Scorpius Family made its home on Chandrila, was in the rebellious territory. As the security forces were moving through the land, they came upon the manor and opened fire on it as if it were an enemy stronghold, murdering Robel's parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Jedi Knight Joruun Kalp arrived right after the attack and rushed to try heal the dying people, but he could not. As he started to leave the burning home, Scorpius arrived, having felt the deaths.

In a fit of rage the Jedi Knight murdered his fellow knight Joruun Kalp. Then he chased down the group responsible for the attack and killed last member of the security squad, their bodies littering the Chandrilan countryside. While this was happening, Ki-Adi-Mundi was leading the assault on the rebel stronghold, and felt the death of Joruun Kalp. He was thus prepared when Scorpius arrived, blaming the Republic for the death of his family and the Jedi for being powerless to stop it. He and his master began to duel, but when it became apparent that Scorpius could not win, he left the planet with the retreating Gaius Zorag adn the secessionists. The Chandrilan Uprising was quelled, but it had cost two Jedi Knights.

Scorpius left the Jedi Order and suddenly found himself, with the death of his father, as the heir to a multi-billion credt intergalactic company and a noble title on the planet of Risban. He spent the next few years of his life in private, maintaing ScorpCorp and working with an up-and-coming starship technology pioneer named Raith Sienar. By the end of the Battle of Naboo, Scorpius had already accumulated a vast fortune. However, Scorpius still wished for revenge against the Jedi. With rumors of a Sith reemergence at Naboo, stories of the Jedi 'Chosen One' being taught at the Jedi Temple, and a curious bounty posted by an old Jedi that Scorpius had trained under briefly, Count Dooku, a growing disturbance in the Force brought Scorpius' interests back to Coruscant.

In 28 BBY, Count Dooku approached Scorpius and revealed that he was a Dark Lord of the Sith. He promised Scorpius power and vengeance, and after Scorpius had proved his worth and loyalty through a series of tasks, the ex-Jedi Knight was made a Dark Acolyte, a pupil of Darth Tyrannus and servant to his master, the elusive Darth Sidious. Scorpius served as an assassin for the Sith Lords, eliminating certain politicians and businessmen who stood in their way. When the Clone Wars broke out, Scorpius was served as an admiral in the Separatist forces. He fought in many battles throughout the Clone Wars, and more than once he faced and killed servants of the Jedi Order. As the Clone Wars neared an explosive end, Scorpius was controlling the Separatist forces on the InterGalactic Banking Clan's ice-covered planet of Mygeeto.

''Just like the rest of them, though, he never caught whiff of what was really going on. Not until it was far too late.'' ~501st Legion on Ki-Adi-Mundi.

Mygeeto was one of the bastions of the Separatist Army. When General Grievous left the planet to deal with other campaigns and San Hill was transported to safety elsewhere, Scorpius was placed in charge of Separatist forces on the planet. He faced a squad of Galactic Marines led by his old master, Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi. Scorpius was also on the planet to allow elements of the 501st Legion to successfully manuever around Separatist forces and acquire an ancinet Mygeetan crystal to serve as the power source for a top-secret laser-stream project that the Sith were creating, codenamed Operation Hammertong-- this would eventually become the Death Star. Scorpius and his old master dueled dueled several times throughout the Mygeetan campaigns. As the Republic forces intensified a push to seize Scorpius' base in the Mygeetan capital, Order 66 was issued. Scorpius watched in horror as his former master fought his way across a bridge before his troops stopped and trained their weapons on Ki-Adi-Mundi. As Scorpius watched Mundi's betrayal, he felt the others around the galaxy as well. Across the stars, Jedi died. All of them at the same time. Darth Sidious was triumphant.

Realizing that the Clone Wars were over, and somewhat distraught by the lack of nobility in the deaths of the Jedi, Scorpius abandoned Mygeeto as the Republic forces onquered it. The Dark Acolyte quickly traveled to Coruscant as Palpatine gave a speech to the Senate outling a plot by the Jedi to assassinate him, and proclaimed himself emperor of the new Galactic Empire. Scorpius traveled to the Jedi Temple shortly after the new Darth Vader and the 501st Legion murdered every master, knight, and padawan in the temple; they had been betrated by their Chosen One. Scorpius took advantage of the time of chaos to slip into the Jedi Library, stepping over the bodies of Jocastu Nu and some young padawans to remove certain records for his own use.

The Clone Wars ended, the Jedi Order was wiped out, and a New Order had risen in its place.

===Empire, Remnant, and Death===

For his service to the Sith, Scorpius was given a position in Palpatine's Secret Order as one of his Dark Adepts. He was given the position of vice-admiral in the Imperial Starfleet, watching over ambitious admirals and moffs on behalf of the Emperor. He fought in many battles throughout the Galactic Civil War, and often he would work with those living in the shadows of the Empire, chiefly the Black Sun Crime Syndicate, to fulfill any wishes the Emperor asked of him. During this time, Scorpius also used cloning technology to create several clones of himself at a facility in Risban in case his own body should suffer physical distress. Scorpius was patrolling the Chandrila system when news of the deaths of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader at Endor reached him. Realizing that the Rebel Alliance was now on the verge of toppling the Empire and that the Jedi were reemerging with this new Luke Skywalker fellow, Scorpius took a small fleet consisting of three Star Destroyers and fled to the Risban system.

Soon, Coruscant fell to the Rebellion, and the New Republic was established. Scorpius rose through the ranks of respect in the Imperial Remnant, and was briefly involved in Grand Admiral Thrawn's attempt to reestablish the Empire. His loyalty was Thrawn was chiefly because Scorpius knew little of an extra-galactic threat the Emperor had once warned of, and he knew that a strong Empire would be needed to repel this threat. When Thrawn was defeated and the New Republic, with its New Jedi Order, started eliminating Imperial warlords, Scorpius grew desperate. Scorpius had attracted his own small cadre of loyal followers and apprentices. Famosus Aspicio, James Bellador, Syrus Korodin, and Daniel Black were all Force-sensitive and working with Scorpius to try to establish an order of Dark Jedi. Now having attained the full rank of Admiral and control of six Star Destroyers and two Corellian Blockade Runners, and in 17 ABY Scorpius launched an attack on his home planet of Chandrila, hoping to conquer the planet and use it as a bargaining chip with the New Republic.

He nearly succeeded with his surprise attack, seizing control of Hanna City. Luke Skywalker dispatched several Jedi to deal with the Dark Jedi, and had even planted a mole inside of Scorpius' little group of followers. After a gruesome duel with the infamous Kyle Katarn and Jedi Knight Fritz, Scorpius was attacked from behind by a Jedi apprentice named Alex Wiederspiel, who had been tricking Scorpius all this time and acting as one of his follows. Stabbed through the back, Scorpius suddenly felt how the Jedi must have felt when their own troops betrayed them. He stumbled back into a pit filled with snakes and died. The New Republic seized his fleet, and his followers fled.

But his spirit lingered...

===Rebirth and Brotherhood===

In 19 ABY, a young Jedi apprentice named Clover Eu'odea came across the spirit of Scorpius trapped in a holocron. Scorpius manipulated and tricked the young girl, convincing her to travel to Risban and resurrect Scorpius into once of his clone bodies. She did, and Scorpius emerged in a 19-year-old version of himself. However, he was drastically cut off from the Force and severely weakened by his death and resurrection, the power he once had all-but-gone. He disposed of Clover with a blaster, and then decided to flee Risban before Republic forces discovered him. He entered his personal StarViper, ''The Scorpion,'' and made a dangerous blind jump into hyperspace.

By the sheer will of the Force, he exited hyperspace over the planet Byfrost, where he was picked up by members of Clan Exar Kun of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. He joined the Brotherhood and began to retrain in the ways of the Dark Side, attaining the rank of Dark Jedi Knight under his master Braecen Triadus Isradia, later to be known as Braecen Kaeth Kunar. While in the Brotherhood he called upon his former allies--[[Famosus Aspicio]], James Bellador, and Syrus Korodin--to join him, which they did.

When the Dictum of the Two Skies was issued and Clan Plagueis was formed, Scorpius was placed in House Bane to command the battle team Heretics of Bane. The Heretics of Bane went on many successful missions under Scorpius before House Bane was shut down. Scorpius joined House Exar Kun. During missions against organizations like the Crimson Tide, Scorpius made close bonds and alliances with individuals like [[Aabsdu di Plagia Dupar al'Tor]], [[Galaphile al'Tor]], [[Jonaleth Isradia]], [[Ashura Isradia]], and others. He also obtained the title Prodigy of Plagueis, as held the active title longer than any other in Plagueis history.

When the home system of Clan Plagueis began to go supernova, Scorpius personally oversaw the construction of [[Diadem Fortress]] in the new system that Clan Plagueis would move to. As Prodigy of Plagueis at the time, Scorpius helped oversee defeating Crimson Tide pirates during the evacuation of the system. Once settled in the new Sigil System, Scorpius became more involved with Plagueis politics. He served as the Tetrarch of Exar's Shadow and later Blades of Kun before become Quaestor of House Exar Kun. During his tenure as Quaestor, the [[Sixth Great Jedi War]] broke out and came all too close to House Exar Kun during the [[Assault on Diadem Fortress]]. During the assault, there was an assassination attempt on Scorpius' life as Aerunian Rebels and forces of Clan Naga Sadow attempted to destroy the bastion of House Exar Kun. With assistance from his aedile, Aabsdu, and Dark Adept Jonaleth Isradia, the enemy were finally defeated and driven back. As the war continued, Scorpius relinquished his role as Quaestor to serve Plagueis on a secret mission as the fleets of the Brotherhood moved to fight one another. Scarred and tired, when the war was over Scorpius oversaw the reconstruction of Diadem Fortress and then served as the Kunian Ambassador to the Aerunian Senate.

Recently, Scorpius has once again entered public life in Clan Plagueis and, now a Krath Archpriest, serves as Proconsul. He is presently the highest-ranking Krath Equite in Clan Plagueis.

==Personality==

Scorpius is a reserved, deliberate, and logical individual. He is protective of those who are under his charge or are loyal to him, and deadly to his enemies. He is a shred politician and strategist, very good with oratory and planning things out. His charisma has been of use to Clan Plagueis before as he gives stirring speeches to motivate Plagueis for battle.

He usually prefers to avoid official positions of leadership, often times serving like a true Krath from the shadows. Many Consuls, Proconsuls, and Quaestors in Plagueis have used Scorpius as a close advisor and confidant, turning to him to assist with problems and often including him as a de facto leader within Clan Plagueis.

Apart from skills in the art of ruling and strategy, he enjoys practicing history and Force philosophy, as well as perfecting his master of Makashi form lightsaber dueling.

== Brief History ==

House Exar Kun formed from [[Clan Exar Kun]] led by [[Consul]] [[Chi Long]]. Then, due to low activity, the clan was merged with [[Clan Satal Keto]] and formed [[Clan Plagueis]]. This new clan had three houses: House Exar Kun, [[House Satal Keto]], and House Bane. The latter was soon after removed due to activity. In that time the house has gone through numerous struggles, leadership, and battles against forces vowed to destroy the dark jedi. However, the worst still lie ahead. Today, House Exar Kun stands with its sister clan as one of the most active houses in the brotherhood.

=== Jedi Knight ===

Four thousand years ago, the Jedi Order were the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy. Over countless worlds and civilisations they upheld the common good and enforced the peace that had lasted for two hundred centuries. They were respected and heeded by all, for it was fatal to misinterpret the soft words and simple demeanour of a Jedi; each carried the elegant lightsabers, symbols of their training and authority, and open witness to their powers with the Force.

As it had been since their inception, each Jedi Master would take students from an early age, and train them in the ways of the Force and the beliefs of the Jedi, to maintain their Order and the Republic, for even in those days, danger loomed in the form of the Sith Empire. Long ago defeated by the Jedi, the remaining Sith were disparate and nomadic, suffering from constant internecine warfare and a lack of anyone strong enough to lead them back to the golden age of Marka Ragnos. Divided, the Sith were no great threat to the power of the Jedi, but without leaders, the constant gnaw of their smaller attacks kept all the Order from becoming complacent.

Yet even in those days, the Jedi were not numerous, and some Masters were bound to take on more than a single Apprentice. One such Master was the legendary Vodo-Siosk Baas, the Cerean Master whom had saved Cerea from war. Master Baas took three Apprentices; the most promising of whom was a young Knight named Exar Kun.

Even in his early days, Exar Kun was driven by ambition and the need for power, but as a young man sought to transfer that power to the Order in its war against the Dark Side powers of the Sith. It was his belief that one should know their enemy to be able to defeat them, and he sought out knowledge of the Sith rituals and powers, aiming to separate the Dark Side from them and turn them to the use of the Jedi, yet the Jedi Council could not condone flirtations with the Dark Side even for this purpose, and Kun was admonished several times by Baas about the dangers he courted.

Exar Kun refused to listen, and in training one day almost killed a fellow Apprentice in rage at a minor injury he endured. Seeking to teach Kun a lesson, Baas challenged him to a duel; Kun’s lightsabers against Baas’ walking stick. The battle waged, and Kun almost won, but was defeated by Baas’s skill and knowledge of the Force.

=== Fallen Jedi Knight ===

Stymied by his Master and full of pride, Exar Kun broke from the Order and set out into the galaxy to find his own answers and prove himself right. His journey brought him to Onderon and the court of King Ommin and Queen Amanos, the infamous Sith Sorcerers, where he learned of the Demon Moon above, Dxun. Called by an unknown force, Kun journeyed through the nightmare landscape of the Demon Moon until he came upon the tomb of the diabolical Freedon Nadd. Nadd’s spirit appeared to Kun, and, tempting him with the forbidden knowledge of the Sith and the answers he sought, sent Kun to Korriban, the Sith Necropolis planet.

On Korriban, Kun fell foul of the powerful traps and beasts left by the Sith to guard their tombs, and was caught in a deadfall. Crushed and battered, Kun was close to death when Nadd’s spirit again reappeared, offering Kun life and escape, if he would only realise and accept that the Dark Side was within him, and that was his drive for the Sith secrets, for their power, not the idealism of trying to save the Jedi. Knowing Nadd was correct, and knowing it was his only chance of escape, Kun accepted the Dark Side into his soul, and in an explosion that destroyed the tomb he had been trapped within, broke free.

Under the tutelage of the departed Sith Lord, Kun left Korriban with the knowledge he sought, and travelled to Yavin IV, the last stronghold of the Sith Empire, where he was captured by descendants of Naga Sadow’s Massassi warriors. Sensing the Dark Side in him, and with the legends of Sadow’s cruelty in their minds, the Massassi shaman sentenced Kun to death, to be sacrificed to the Battle Hydra in order to placate its wrath. At the bidding of Freedon Nadd, Exar Kun used the Dark Side to escape his fate, and stole Naga Sadow’s Sith Amulets, turning the on the battle hydra and the Massassi shaman to escape his fate. In awe, the Massassi saw their Dark Lord come again, and bowed down before Kun as his loyal servants and warriors. When Nadd appeared to congratulate his Apprentice, Kun then turned the Sith Amulets and his own power on the spirit, and forever vanquished him from the galaxy.

With the Massassi now loyal to him, Kun set to work recovering all the treasures Sadow had left behind, including recovering the secrets of Sith Alchemy, which he turned on his subjects to forge them into the mightiest and most lethal weapons the galaxy has ever seen. With his power consolidated and his Sith training complete, Kun set out in Sadow’s ancient battleship to destroy any he sensed who had the training to usurp his power.

=== Dark Lord of the Sith ===

He found them on Cinnagar in the Empress Teta systems; the Sith Acolyte and Krath High Priestess Aleema Keto, and her dark lover, the fallen Jedi Knight and Krath High Priest Ullic Qel-Droma, whom had murdered Aleema’s cousin, Satal. Kun and Qel-Droma fought for supremacy to decide who would control the powers of the Sith, but their battle was cut short by the appearance of a group of the most powerful Sith Lords of all time, led by none other than the greatest amongst them, Marka Ragnos himself.

Seeing the power in both of them, Ragnos declared that Exar Kun would be the new Dark Lord of the Sith, and Ullic Qel-Droma would serve him Sith Apprentice; together, they would conquer the galaxy and build a new Sith Empire. Kun began his plans by infiltrating the Jedi academy on Ossus, tempting and corrupting many of the impressionable students before exposing them to the Dark power of the Sith Holocron he recovered on Yavin IV and turning them to the Dark Side.

After sending them on missions to assassinate their former Masters, Kun travelled to Coruscant to release his errant Apprentice whom had been captured by the Republic after a rash attack on the centre of the Republic in hopes of securing a quick victory. In the process, Kun again came face to face with Master Vodo-Siosk Baas, but this time, armed with his personally crafted doubled bladed Sith Lightsaber, the Cerean Master stood no chance, and fell in battle to his former student.

Returning to Yavin IV with their new students in tow, now Kun and Ullic planned to implement the second phase of their plans and destroy the Jedi academy on Ossus, now that it had been plundered of its valuable students and its Masters had been assassinated. They arranged to have Aleema Keto use a Sith artefact to cause a supernova in the system, and as the Jedi sought escape, Kun’s Sith fleet struck down the escapee’s.

Their plan was successful, though Ullic’s ship was unable to escape the destruction of Ossus, and was captured by the Jedi. As Kun returned to Yavin OV victorious and with his plunder of Jedi artefacts, Ullic was brought face to face with his brother and his former paramour, Nomi Sunrider. Together, the pair cut Ullic from the Force, and in his weakness he surrendered to them, revealing the location of Kun’s base of power.

Massing their remaining forces, the Republic descended on Yavin IV to wipe out the Dark Lord, but Kun refused to grant them the victory they sought. Taking his most powerful bodyguard, Kun had twisted, mutated and warped him with Sith alchemy into an unstoppable behemoth known as the Night Beast, Kalgrath. Kun placed Kalgrath in stasis on Yavin IV, and began the second phase of his plan. Sacrificing every Massassi on the planet, Kun used all his powers and the knowledge of the Sith he had attained, and invested his spirit into the his temple, divesting himself of his physical body and the victory the Republic wished. Though his fleets were destroyed and his warriors gone, Exar Kun lived on.

=== Dark Side Spirit ===

Four thousand years later, after the fall of the Old Republic, the Rebel Alliance chose Yavin as a base for its operations against the Republic, and in the explorations of the Massassi temples and digging of their trenches, released Kalgrath into the galaxy. The murderous beast, without the control of its dark Master, slaughtered hundreds of the rebels, until Luke Skywalker tricked it into boarding a shuttle, and launched it into space. Kalgrath is now known to still live, in the company of the spirit of Ludo Kressh, on the frozen planet of Ziost.

After the fall of the Empire and the rise of the New Republic, Luke Skywalker converted the base on Yavin IV into a new Jedi academy, and, heedless of history, the appearance of Kalgrath and of the unexpected consequences of the Force, reawakened the spirit of Kun. Preying on the weakness of Skywalkers own half-training and the malleability and psychological trauma inherent in all who had lived through the Empire, Kun found an easy subject in the form of Gantoris.

Guided by Kun, Gantoris fuelled his anger and hatred, and became tainted by the Dark Side. With Kun’s help, he constructed his lightsaber and challenged Master Skywalker to a duel. Gantoris lost, and as punishment Kun destroyed him, leaving his body to be found blackened and burned the next morning. The spirits next target would be Kyp Durron, whose dark past made him the perfect target for corruption. Kun convinced Durron that he would be able to study the Dark Side without falling to it, and gradually drew the young man away from the Light.

Wrathful and empowered by the Dark Side, Kyp went out to seek revenge on Grand Admiral Daala, who had imprisoned and tortured Durron after he escaped from Kessel. In revenge, Kyp used Daala’s own super weapon against her, the Sun Crusher, and destroyed Daala’s systems with its supernova inducing torpedoes. Prompting Durron to return to Yavin, Kun had the young Jedi challenge Skywalker. Durron won the battle, and left the Jedi Master comatose, his spirit separated from its body. Whilst Durron continued his reign of terror with the Sun Crusher, Kun attacked Skywalker, sending Dark Side beasts to attack the Jedi Master’s body, or possessing his students to attack directly, all as a distraction for his greatest and most important move.

The Dark Lord would have succeeded eventually in his direct attacks, had the Jedi students not realised what was influencing them, and, in combining their powers with that of Skywalkers and the spirit of Kun’s former Master, Vodo-Siosk Baas, wiped the Dark Lord from the Force with the powers of the Light. Yet even they did not realise that Kun had again thwarted the efforts of his enemies to destroy him completely, and that his true victory waited in the shadows, biding its time, nursing its hatred and anger for what it had seen done to its Master, to attack and destroy them utterly.

=== The Beginning of Clan Exar Kun ===

When the Empire fell, feuding warlords seized control of what resources they could, and fled into the farthest corners of the galaxy to establish their private fiefdoms, many content to simply sit and brutalise the hapless occupants of the systems they conquered. Some, such as Grand Admirals Thrawn and Daala, sought to rebuild the Empire and regain their lost power. Others, such as Ronin, gathered themselves to implement the Final Order.

With a cabal of Dark Jedi under the leadership of the Star Chamber and with a heritage as ancient as the Sith, Ronin gained much power for the Dark Brotherhood, able to secure and hold more territory through the Force than the meagre fleet he controlled would have otherwise allowed. In exchange, the Dark Jedi gained a fleet to protect them where the power of the Dark Side failed.

Inducted into the Dark Brotherhood, Ronin became a Dark Primarch, and was given leave as Grand Admiral to establish a Clan in his name; Clan Alvaak. This Clan, the Elite Clan, was favoured and ruled by Ronin, for he became the Overlord of Alvaak, and was excepted from many of the governing rules of Brotherhood, including being given leave to use the Alvaakian lightsaber, an in-elegant and overlarge lightsaber.

For many years, Clan Alvaak was by admission only; one would need to beat the Grand Admiral in single combat and star fighter dog-fight to gain entry to the Clan and its special privileges, but during the reign of one Grand Master, this was changed. Seeing the chaotic nature of the Brotherhood, the Grand Master ordered that each Clan be divided into Houses, without exception, and that the three Orders be represented by one House within a Clan.

Like the others, Clan Alvaak divided into three Houses; Dominatus, Caliburnus, and Ronin, with Ronin himself retaining the title of Overlord of Alvaak, and appointing a Consul to rule for him. With the new Houses, came new power and prestige for Alvaak, and for a time, the Clan enjoyed a golden age.

=== The Birth of Clan Exar Kun ===

Yet, all things must end, and during the reign of Grand Master Firefox, the Great Split was declared. Breaking from the yoke of the Emperors Hammer, most of the Dark Brotherhood fled from their former home of Eos to Antei, ancestral home of the Star Chamber. In his arrogance, Ronin believe that his Elite Clan would remain with him, yet even there, dissent raged.

Four Alvaakian Jedi, heartened by the notion of freedom and disillusioned with their Overlord, broke from the Clan and fled with the others, taking with them two younger apprentices. The elders; Sith Warlord Khan, Sith Warmaster Khalin, Krath Epis Jonaleth Isradia Aquillarum, and Krath Priest Vally Tamalar, struck out from Eos aboard the transport vessel Reliance, with the young apprentices Vithril and Knight in tow.

There was great strength gathered in that small ship, a great concentration of the Dark Side that would draw to it their new Dark Master. For days, they drifted through space, lost and in shock at the tumultuous events preceding them, knowing only that they must go on and not surrender to the machinations of their enemies. It was then that Exar Kun found them.

A black shadow, a monstrosity of darkness of hate, he descended upon the wayward ship like a storm, and spoke to them of his plans and the events on Yavin IV. The three most powerful of them; Khan, Jonaleth and Khalin, he appointed his True Heirs, and bestowed upon them the name Kunar as sign of his favour. He taught them his arts of Chronomancy so they might better serve him, and instructed Khan to lead them back to the Brotherhood with new purpose; overthrow the Jedi who had betrayed him and bring about the Final Order. They were to establish a new Clan in his name and finish what he had started.

In the rapture of his presence, they swore their loyalty to him, and went on to Antei as their Dark Master wished. Before the assembly of the Dark Council and the Consuls of the other Clans, Khan spoke of their communion with Kun, and was given leave to establish the new Clan in his name. With the help of the others, Khan created House Byss, founded by Jonaleth for the Krath Order; House Ziost, created by Khalin for the Sith Order, and House Korriban, created by Vally for the Obelisk Order, with Khan as their Consul. Vithril, the young Zabrak, took up his Master Isradia’s banner as Aedile of House Byss, whilst Knight went with Khalin as his second in command in Ziost, and Clan Exar Kun was born to the galaxy.

Soon after, however, tragedy befell the fledgling Clan. A shockwave resonated through their bond to their Dark Master, and as he died at the hands of the Jedi, so part of them withered away also. In an uncontrolled explosion of temporal energy released by the Kunians when the pain of Kun’s death hit them, House Korriban was destroyed, wiped from existence by the power of the gathered Children of Kun. Fuelling their hatred, Khan swore vengeance on the Jedi and the Republic for their attacks and betrayal on their Dark Master, and vowed to see his resurrection and the death of every student of the Jedi.

=== The Sith-Antaran War ===

Their revenge, however, was halted by the Antaran War. In the centuries since the Star Chamber had ruled Antei, other life had taken residence on it, and refused to annex it to its rightful rulers. The Antarans waged guerrilla war on the Dark Brotherhood, but their pirate vessels and troops were no match for the training of the Jedi and the power of the Dark Side. Beside the rest of the Brotherhood, the Clansmen of Kun crushed the Antarans, and captured the neighbouring system of Acarr as their base, thereby also seizing control of a major trade route, the Eidolon Run, and exterminating all competition to their domination as the only stop port along the Run.

Seeing the wisdom in their Master’s plans, the Clansmen plotted their revenge through convert methods. In seizing the Eidolon Run, they established a façade of cultured, peaceful and educated business men and women, and extracted a tariff on all ships and vessels passing through or resting in the Acarr System. The Houses of Clan Exar Kun each played their parts in this; House Byss formed the face of the operation as the merchants, traders, administrators and operatives of the Acarr Trading Consortium, whilst gathering intelligence, information and power to use against and infiltrate the Republic and the Jedi. House Ziost were the soldiers, pilots, enforcers, governors and muscle, at the same time as performing assassinations, extortion and protection services.

With Acarr firmly established as a trading stop and with its bountiful natural resources at its disposal, Clan Exar Kun attempted to work closer to the infiltration, corruption, domination and ultimate destruction of the Republic and the Jedi, and the restoration of their Dark Master.

=== The Pretender and Chi-Long: The End Begins ===

The end of Clan Exar Kun began when the one called known now only by his pseudonym came to power; the Pretender. Since its founding, Exar Kun had been ruled by those who had met the Dark Lords shade, but the Pretender had never spoken with Kun, and did not share his vision. Against the council of Heirs, he took the Clan as his personal tool, and like a hammer of glass, it shattered in his grasp.

The Heirs revolted, and war was waged between clansmen. When finally the dust settled, a single Heir and Elder remained; Jonaleth. But now the Clan was weakened and dying. Disgusted with what had happened and the necessities it had driven him too, Jonaleth swore an oath never again to sit on the seat of power, lest he be forced again to slay his brothers, and passed on the rule of the Clan to another, the former Grand Master Chi-Long, prophesizing that when next he took the seat, it would be a time of Darkness Unending.

Arriving at the scene of the devastation, Chi-Long and his forces tended to the wounded of the Clan as Isradia reported on what had happened, then disappeared. Under the Grand Masters control, the Clan was stabilized again, but would never return to the glory it had known.

=== Dictum of Two Skies ===

The once great Clan Exar Kun was weakened and in shambles, clinging to the shreds of its previous glory and honor as corruption began to spread throughout the Clan. Clan Satal Keto was in the same state as the once glorious Exar Kun, forcing the Dark Council to intervene. In its entirety, the legendary Star Chamber visited the remnants of Exar Kun and Satal Keto, and pronounced the Dictum of Two Skies. There could no longer be two fates for these Clans; they would unite now as one, and lend the strengths of both to a new order for them. The composure of this Clan would be decided in ritual combat; the weak would perish so that the strong might survive.

And thus the Dictum of Two Skies was carried out. New members came to the field, and for a month, Jedi fought Jedi in battle for supremacy, and when the dust finally fell, a new band stood together, united by victory and strength, their weaknesses purged and cleansed in a trial by fire. From the ashes of two Clans arose a new one: Plagueis, a new life born of death. Then the Dictum was released, and as their final act, the Elders of the Star Chamber worked a great feat of Force magic - grasping the skeins of reality itself, they wove together the twin fates of Exar Kun and Satal Keto, and merged their powers into one. And with that the two once great Clans became Houses of the newly formed Clan Plagueis.
The Crimson Tide Emerges

The Crimson Tide became a threat to the recently formed Exar Kun in the Elysian Sector. A pirate organization of exceptional skill and well equipped, the Crimson Tide attacked the shipping and trade routes of House Exar Kun and its possessions. Eventually the brutality and continual disruptions of the Crimson Tide, forced the Clan and the House to act.

The Crimson Tide attacks were disastrously efficient and well planned and if pirate organization continued it would have only been a matter of time before the entire Clan was brought to its knees. Unbeknownst to House Exar Kun, the Tide had more entrenched plans than they expected. The organization had successfully implanted itself throughout the Elysian sector and infiltrated a once desolate region of Ysgard, establishing a highly sophisticated and protected base. The Crimson Tide was more than a minor pirate threat to House Exar Kun.

To combat the entrenched Crimson Tide, House Exar Kun prepared a intricate plan involving the both Battle Teams, Exar’s Shadow and Blades of Kun, along with various upper level House members on separate missions. The House was extremely successful in their missions, destroying the Tide’s Dreadnaught flagship, Ysgard base and the infrastructure within the sector. Unusually, during the mission, an Imperator-class Mark II Star Destroyer appeared and was boarded. The Star Destroyer was vacant, at the House Summit chose to destroy it rather than risk discovering why it was deserted. House Exar Kun had met its first major challenge and successfully united and defeated it.

=== Exar’s Shadow Shines ===

The fourth planet from the sun, Eden, was the location of the once active House Byss then Bane. Shortly after the suspected defeat of the Crimson Tide, House Exar Kun received a signal from the deserted planet and tasked Exar’s Shadow Battle Team with investigation. Originally, the House leadership and intelligence believe that the beckon signal was no more than natives intervening in areas they should not be. Little did the House know it was more complicated.

Upon arrival to the fourth planet of Eden, Exar’s Shadow was already expected by what appeared to be Imperials. During the battles, the Battle Team determined that they were pirates, of none other than the destroyed Crimson Tide. In addition, Exar’s Shadow came in contact with Dark Side users who were well trained in the arts. While throwing the Battle Team off, they successfully defeated this new and unexpected enemy.

After investigation, it was discovered that the Crimson Tide was interested in seizing an artificial intelligence known as Firefly. Firefly was created to guard the knowledge and secrets gained by House Byss and later Bane. Firefly’s task was to take information, link it and extract patters and meanings that even the wisest Krath could not fathom. Foolishly, the pirate organization believed that the Firefly was left in the House Bane complex but it was taken during the closure of Bane and was stored in the vaults of Castle Frost.

In the final move by Exar’s Shadow, the Battle Team ambushed evacuating Crimson Tide members and captured their leader, Alonzo Bodelle. Exar’s Shadow successfully restrained the Crimson Tide pirate chief to return him to Castle Frost for interrogaton. In a closing measure, the Battle Team members ordered the removal of foreign materials and dead bodies from the planet and reactivated the House’s security systems, ensuring that no one trespasses again.

=== Kun’s Requiem Razes ===

On Elysian rested a great temple that Kun’s Requiem was charged to investigate for possible activity. The House leaders pitted Exar’s Shadow and Kun’s Requiem against one another on separate important missions, hoping that both Battle Teams would force the other to excel. In addition, the temple mission was one that was not set to be overly dangerous and in the House leaders’ opinion, inter-House rivalry was needed. (The mission Exar’s Shadow was tasked with is written above.)

Upon reaching the temple, the Battle Team discovered a defensive perimeter already in place. It was as the House leaders had feared, a pirate organization has set up a base right under the Dark Jedi’s noses. With great skill, Kun’s Requiem successfully disabled the defenses and invaded the temple. The Battle Team discovered a research facility and after questioning the chief scientist, Kun’s Requiem engaged in total destruction of the temple’s facilities. The ruined facility became evidence of the infamous Crimson Tide had survived.

After the minor interrogation, Kun’s Requiem discovered that the Tide was going to strike. The Battle Team took the various fighters and shuttle it possessed and prepared for battle. The battle began as the Battle Team was in the midst of preparations; the pirate organization had known the Dark Jedi were coming. Outnumbered over six times, the Battle Team entered the fray, with six TIE Defenders and one shuttle.

After a long battle, the pirates eventually surrendered and requested that the Dark Jedi board their vessel. Against their better judgment, Kun’s Requiem entered the pirate ship. With a safe entrance, the Battle Team prepared for a trap. After being invited for drinks, with Imperial-dressed officers, Kun’s Requiem sprung the trap. In the ship’s mess, the Battle Team destroyed the majority of the crew and began to exterminate the rest of the pirates. With the skill of veteran Dark Jedi and the Dark Side of the Force, Kun’s Requiem destroyed the pirates and after escaping the ship, destroyed it. The Battle Team had discovered remnants of the Crimson Tide in their mission, causing for unrest to spread throughout the members of the now infamous Kun’s Requiem.

=== Abandoning Acarr, Jusidah Becomes Home ===

In the Acarr system, the sun was shuddering with anger. The great feat of the Star Chamber, the Dictum of the Two Skies, had distorted reality by merging the great powers of Exar Kun and Satal Keto, causing the heart of the great star of Sigil to falter. The doom was close, but the Clan and Houses still had time to act. With great speed, the Clan mobilized and began evacuation, fleeing to the Jusidah system.

During the evacuation, the dreaded Crimson Tide returned to seek vengeance on their defeaters, and launched an attack on the moving Plagueis forces. The Clan fought valiantly, and despite overwhelming odds against them, held back the Tide forces until the evacuation could be completed. In a final act of malign vengeance, Consul Kir Katarn and Proconsul Aristan Dantes blockaded the system, trapping the majority of the mercenary forces within as Sigil went supernova.

With the bulk of the pirate organization destroyed, House Exar Kun began construction of their primary headquarters on their new planet of Aerun, a peaceful planet engulfed in deadly forests.

=== Recapturing the Captured ===

For months Battle Team Exar's Shadow, led by Aabsdu, interrogated Alonzo Bodelle, but they could pull nothing valuable from him. One night, a small squad of pirates unrelated to the Crimson Tide invaded Diadem Fortress. They released Alonzo from his sell and stole blueprints to the Dark Tower on Jusadih.

Quaestor Braecen quickly sent the house's two battle teams, Exar's Shadow and Blades of Kun, after the pirates. They chased each other for nine days before finally coming to an epic battle over the planet of Dathomir. Blades of Kun fought the forces in space, while Exar's Shadow boarded the pirates' capital ship, The Killer. Exar's Shadow placed bombs all throughout the ship, and detonated them while Commander Aabsdu searched for Alonzo. In the end, however, the team was forced to retreat as the ship started to fall apart. They left, sure that Alonzo and the rest of the pirates had been killed.

They were unaware, however, that Alonzo had in fact survived. He made his way to Dathomir, where he met up with the rest of the Crimson Tide, and slowly they formed their plan to attack Clan Plagueis once again.

=== Great Jedi War ===

Once again the entire Brotherhood became engulfed in conflict with the emergence of two Grand Masters, both claiming their right to the Iron Throne. The Clans fought against one another and Clan Plagueis formed its own enemies in this war. At the onset, the Clan was greatly divided but upon the monumental efforts of the Clan and House Summits, the Plagueians united as one.

During the conflict, House Exar Kun received the greatest damage and greatest victory. Members of the enemy Clan Naga Sadow with rebelling Aerunians attempted an invasion and destruction of Exar Kun’s headquarters, Diadem Fortress. After a great battle that resulted in the damage of Diadem Fortress the Kunians successfully defeated the forces of Naga Sadow and reclaimed control of the Aerun population. Although a sweeping success, Diadem Fortress was extremely damaged and weakness in the defenses were revealed but House Exar Kun remained stalwart, awaiting the next mission to be assigned to them.

The decision had been made by the Clan Summit to attack the bastion on Selen, the Arconae Citadel, headquarters of one of Plagueis’ prime enemies, Clan Arcona. In a joint effort, the entire Clan swept into the Selen system, engulfing it in the might of Plagueis. Both Houses moved on the Arconae fleets, destroying or disabling them, and then prepared for the planetary invasion. Although Arconae defenses were greater than believed, the Houses swept in successfully defeating the Arconae forces after hours of long battles.

After several long months, the conflict known as the Sixth Great Jedi War came to an end, with no Clan freed from destruction and loss. Although House Exar Kun had lost a great deal, the experience and prestige the Kunians achieved was worth the sacrifice.

=== New Dawn ===

In the short time House Exar Kun had been established, a great deal of activities and successes has become part of its history. The House’s success has already brought it great prestige and nostalgia of the glory days of Clan Exar Kun could be heard throughout the Diadem Fortress on Aerun. The House is more than ready to attain great glory; it is only a matter of time until House Exar Kun is given the chance.

== Exalted Lords of Kun ==

Every so often an individual comes around who goes above and beyond the call of duty, being active on all fronts and fiercely loyal and supportive of House Exar Kun. When someone displays such character, the House Summit shall belay on this person the title of Exalted Lord of Kun!

All members of the House Summit and former Exalted Lords have the ability to submit a request to the Quaestor to have someone appointed to the position. Upon gathering the requests, the Quaestor, with some guidance from the Aedile, shall decide on the next to wear the title. Upon reaching a decision, the Quaestor shall preside over a ceremony naming the new Lord of Kun and make the announcement to the entire House.

Exalted Lords of Kun hold a position of honor and prestige in House Exar Kun. They maintain a position in the HEK Fleet Chain of Command (with the current Lord holding the most authority of the group), gain permanent special seating at House meetings, have their name placed in the Line of Kun, and are often looked to for guidance and support by the House Summit.

Candidates for the position of Exalted Lord of Kun must be faithful and active servants of both Exar Kun and Clan Plagueis. They should support the house through one or all of the following ways: gaming, writing, fictional development, leadership, outstanding service to the House, recruitment, helping guide new members, etc. They must be known for maintaining ethics and politeness on the message board and in the IRC. They also must be very trustworthy, and vow not to betray the house and clan.

Someone loses the title of Exalted Lord of Kun and is removed from the Line of Kun if they bring dishonor to Exar Kun or Clan Plagueis, most often in the form of being found guilty of something by the Chamber of Justice. Likewise, should a member leave House Exar Kun (unless they are seeking a position of greater leadership), they shall lose the title.

When one is replaced by a new Lord of Kun, they shall keep their seat in meetings, and their title in the Line forever (or until something in the above paragraph happens). Only the reigning Lord of Kun, however, will be given the most authority. Many times being given information that only the Quaestor and Aedile are aware of.

House Exar Kun is all that remains of the once proud [[Clan]] of the same name. Yet, to date it still flourishes and is still a well known [[House]] of the [[Dark Brotherhood]].

== Brief History ==

House Exar Kun formed from [[Clan Exar Kun]] led by [[Consul]] [[Chi Long]]. Then, due to low activity, the clan was merged with [[Clan Satal Keto]] and formed [[Clan Plagueis]]. This new clan had three houses: House Exar Kun, [[House Satal Keto]], and House Bane. The latter was soon after removed due to activity. In that time the house has gone through numerous struggles, leadership, and battles against forces vowed to destroy the dark jedi. However, the worst still lie ahead. Today, House Exar Kun stands with its sister clan as one of the most active houses in the brotherhood.

== History ==

=== Jedi Knight ===

Four thousand years ago, the Jedi Order were the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy. Over countless worlds and civilisations they upheld the common good and enforced the peace that had lasted for two hundred centuries. They were respected and heeded by all, for it was fatal to misinterpret the soft words and simple demeanour of a Jedi; each carried the elegant lightsabers, symbols of their training and authority, and open witness to their powers with the Force.

As it had been since their inception, each Jedi Master would take students from an early age, and train them in the ways of the Force and the beliefs of the Jedi, to maintain their Order and the Republic, for even in those days, danger loomed in the form of the Sith Empire. Long ago defeated by the Jedi, the remaining Sith were disparate and nomadic, suffering from constant internecine warfare and a lack of anyone strong enough to lead them back to the golden age of Marka Ragnos. Divided, the Sith were no great threat to the power of the Jedi, but without leaders, the constant gnaw of their smaller attacks kept all the Order from becoming complacent.

Yet even in those days, the Jedi were not numerous, and some Masters were bound to take on more than a single Apprentice. One such Master was the legendary Vodo-Siosk Baas, the Cerean Master whom had saved Cerea from war. Master Baas took three Apprentices; the most promising of whom was a young Knight named Exar Kun.

Even in his early days, Exar Kun was driven by ambition and the need for power, but as a young man sought to transfer that power to the Order in its war against the Dark Side powers of the Sith. It was his belief that one should know their enemy to be able to defeat them, and he sought out knowledge of the Sith rituals and powers, aiming to separate the Dark Side from them and turn them to the use of the Jedi, yet the Jedi Council could not condone flirtations with the Dark Side even for this purpose, and Kun was admonished several times by Baas about the dangers he courted.

Exar Kun refused to listen, and in training one day almost killed a fellow Apprentice in rage at a minor injury he endured. Seeking to teach Kun a lesson, Baas challenged him to a duel; Kun’s lightsabers against Baas’ walking stick. The battle waged, and Kun almost won, but was defeated by Baas’s skill and knowledge of the Force.

=== Fallen Jedi Knight ===

Stymied by his Master and full of pride, Exar Kun broke from the Order and set out into the galaxy to find his own answers and prove himself right. His journey brought him to Onderon and the court of King Ommin and Queen Amanos, the infamous Sith Sorcerers, where he learned of the Demon Moon above, Dxun. Called by an unknown force, Kun journeyed through the nightmare landscape of the Demon Moon until he came upon the tomb of the diabolical Freedon Nadd. Nadd’s spirit appeared to Kun, and, tempting him with the forbidden knowledge of the Sith and the answers he sought, sent Kun to Korriban, the Sith Necropolis planet.

On Korriban, Kun fell foul of the powerful traps and beasts left by the Sith to guard their tombs, and was caught in a deadfall. Crushed and battered, Kun was close to death when Nadd’s spirit again reappeared, offering Kun life and escape, if he would only realise and accept that the Dark Side was within him, and that was his drive for the Sith secrets, for their power, not the idealism of trying to save the Jedi. Knowing Nadd was correct, and knowing it was his only chance of escape, Kun accepted the Dark Side into his soul, and in an explosion that destroyed the tomb he had been trapped within, broke free.

Under the tutelage of the departed Sith Lord, Kun left Korriban with the knowledge he sought, and travelled to Yavin IV, the last stronghold of the Sith Empire, where he was captured by descendants of Naga Sadow’s Massassi warriors. Sensing the Dark Side in him, and with the legends of Sadow’s cruelty in their minds, the Massassi shaman sentenced Kun to death, to be sacrificed to the Battle Hydra in order to placate its wrath. At the bidding of Freedon Nadd, Exar Kun used the Dark Side to escape his fate, and stole Naga Sadow’s Sith Amulets, turning the on the battle hydra and the Massassi shaman to escape his fate. In awe, the Massassi saw their Dark Lord come again, and bowed down before Kun as his loyal servants and warriors. When Nadd appeared to congratulate his Apprentice, Kun then turned the Sith Amulets and his own power on the spirit, and forever vanquished him from the galaxy.

With the Massassi now loyal to him, Kun set to work recovering all the treasures Sadow had left behind, including recovering the secrets of Sith Alchemy, which he turned on his subjects to forge them into the mightiest and most lethal weapons the galaxy has ever seen. With his power consolidated and his Sith training complete, Kun set out in Sadow’s ancient battleship to destroy any he sensed who had the training to usurp his power.

=== Dark Lord of the Sith ===

He found them on Cinnagar in the Empress Teta systems; the Sith Acolyte and Krath High Priestess Aleema Keto, and her dark lover, the fallen Jedi Knight and Krath High Priest Ullic Qel-Droma, whom had murdered Aleema’s cousin, Satal. Kun and Qel-Droma fought for supremacy to decide who would control the powers of the Sith, but their battle was cut short by the appearance of a group of the most powerful Sith Lords of all time, led by none other than the greatest amongst them, Marka Ragnos himself.

Seeing the power in both of them, Ragnos declared that Exar Kun would be the new Dark Lord of the Sith, and Ullic Qel-Droma would serve him Sith Apprentice; together, they would conquer the galaxy and build a new Sith Empire. Kun began his plans by infiltrating the Jedi academy on Ossus, tempting and corrupting many of the impressionable students before exposing them to the Dark power of the Sith Holocron he recovered on Yavin IV and turning them to the Dark Side.

After sending them on missions to assassinate their former Masters, Kun travelled to Coruscant to release his errant Apprentice whom had been captured by the Republic after a rash attack on the centre of the Republic in hopes of securing a quick victory. In the process, Kun again came face to face with Master Vodo-Siosk Baas, but this time, armed with his personally crafted doubled bladed Sith Lightsaber, the Cerean Master stood no chance, and fell in battle to his former student.

Returning to Yavin IV with their new students in tow, now Kun and Ullic planned to implement the second phase of their plans and destroy the Jedi academy on Ossus, now that it had been plundered of its valuable students and its Masters had been assassinated. They arranged to have Aleema Keto use a Sith artefact to cause a supernova in the system, and as the Jedi sought escape, Kun’s Sith fleet struck down the escapee’s.

Their plan was successful, though Ullic’s ship was unable to escape the destruction of Ossus, and was captured by the Jedi. As Kun returned to Yavin OV victorious and with his plunder of Jedi artefacts, Ullic was brought face to face with his brother and his former paramour, Nomi Sunrider. Together, the pair cut Ullic from the Force, and in his weakness he surrendered to them, revealing the location of Kun’s base of power.

Massing their remaining forces, the Republic descended on Yavin IV to wipe out the Dark Lord, but Kun refused to grant them the victory they sought. Taking his most powerful bodyguard, Kun had twisted, mutated and warped him with Sith alchemy into an unstoppable behemoth known as the Night Beast, Kalgrath. Kun placed Kalgrath in stasis on Yavin IV, and began the second phase of his plan. Sacrificing every Massassi on the planet, Kun used all his powers and the knowledge of the Sith he had attained, and invested his spirit into the his temple, divesting himself of his physical body and the victory the Republic wished. Though his fleets were destroyed and his warriors gone, Exar Kun lived on.

=== Dark Side Spirit ===

Four thousand years later, after the fall of the Old Republic, the Rebel Alliance chose Yavin as a base for its operations against the Republic, and in the explorations of the Massassi temples and digging of their trenches, released Kalgrath into the galaxy. The murderous beast, without the control of its dark Master, slaughtered hundreds of the rebels, until Luke Skywalker tricked it into boarding a shuttle, and launched it into space. Kalgrath is now known to still live, in the company of the spirit of Ludo Kressh, on the frozen planet of Ziost.

After the fall of the Empire and the rise of the New Republic, Luke Skywalker converted the base on Yavin IV into a new Jedi academy, and, heedless of history, the appearance of Kalgrath and of the unexpected consequences of the Force, reawakened the spirit of Kun. Preying on the weakness of Skywalkers own half-training and the malleability and psychological trauma inherent in all who had lived through the Empire, Kun found an easy subject in the form of Gantoris.

Guided by Kun, Gantoris fuelled his anger and hatred, and became tainted by the Dark Side. With Kun’s help, he constructed his lightsaber and challenged Master Skywalker to a duel. Gantoris lost, and as punishment Kun destroyed him, leaving his body to be found blackened and burned the next morning. The spirits next target would be Kyp Durron, whose dark past made him the perfect target for corruption. Kun convinced Durron that he would be able to study the Dark Side without falling to it, and gradually drew the young man away from the Light.

Wrathful and empowered by the Dark Side, Kyp went out to seek revenge on Grand Admiral Daala, who had imprisoned and tortured Durron after he escaped from Kessel. In revenge, Kyp used Daala’s own super weapon against her, the Sun Crusher, and destroyed Daala’s systems with its supernova inducing torpedoes. Prompting Durron to return to Yavin, Kun had the young Jedi challenge Skywalker. Durron won the battle, and left the Jedi Master comatose, his spirit separated from its body. Whilst Durron continued his reign of terror with the Sun Crusher, Kun attacked Skywalker, sending Dark Side beasts to attack the Jedi Master’s body, or possessing his students to attack directly, all as a distraction for his greatest and most important move.

The Dark Lord would have succeeded eventually in his direct attacks, had the Jedi students not realised what was influencing them, and, in combining their powers with that of Skywalkers and the spirit of Kun’s former Master, Vodo-Siosk Baas, wiped the Dark Lord from the Force with the powers of the Light. Yet even they did not realise that Kun had again thwarted the efforts of his enemies to destroy him completely, and that his true victory waited in the shadows, biding its time, nursing its hatred and anger for what it had seen done to its Master, to attack and destroy them utterly.

=== The Beginning of Clan Exar Kun ===

When the Empire fell, feuding warlords seized control of what resources they could, and fled into the farthest corners of the galaxy to establish their private fiefdoms, many content to simply sit and brutalise the hapless occupants of the systems they conquered. Some, such as Grand Admirals Thrawn and Daala, sought to rebuild the Empire and regain their lost power. Others, such as Ronin, gathered themselves to implement the Final Order.

With a cabal of Dark Jedi under the leadership of the Star Chamber and with a heritage as ancient as the Sith, Ronin gained much power for the Dark Brotherhood, able to secure and hold more territory through the Force than the meagre fleet he controlled would have otherwise allowed. In exchange, the Dark Jedi gained a fleet to protect them where the power of the Dark Side failed.

Inducted into the Dark Brotherhood, Ronin became a Dark Primarch, and was given leave as Grand Admiral to establish a Clan in his name; Clan Alvaak. This Clan, the Elite Clan, was favoured and ruled by Ronin, for he became the Overlord of Alvaak, and was excepted from many of the governing rules of Brotherhood, including being given leave to use the Alvaakian lightsaber, an in-elegant and overlarge lightsaber.

For many years, Clan Alvaak was by admission only; one would need to beat the Grand Admiral in single combat and star fighter dog-fight to gain entry to the Clan and its special privileges, but during the reign of one Grand Master, this was changed. Seeing the chaotic nature of the Brotherhood, the Grand Master ordered that each Clan be divided into Houses, without exception, and that the three Orders be represented by one House within a Clan.

Like the others, Clan Alvaak divided into three Houses; Dominatus, Caliburnus, and Ronin, with Ronin himself retaining the title of Overlord of Alvaak, and appointing a Consul to rule for him. With the new Houses, came new power and prestige for Alvaak, and for a time, the Clan enjoyed a golden age.

=== The Birth of Clan Exar Kun ===

Yet, all things must end, and during the reign of Grand Master Firefox, the Great Split was declared. Breaking from the yoke of the Emperors Hammer, most of the Dark Brotherhood fled from their former home of Eos to Antei, ancestral home of the Star Chamber. In his arrogance, Ronin believe that his Elite Clan would remain with him, yet even there, dissent raged.

Four Alvaakian Jedi, heartened by the notion of freedom and disillusioned with their Overlord, broke from the Clan and fled with the others, taking with them two younger apprentices. The elders; Sith Warlord Khan, Sith Warmaster Khalin, Krath Epis Jonaleth Isradia Aquillarum, and Krath Priest Vally Tamalar, struck out from Eos aboard the transport vessel Reliance, with the young apprentices Vithril and Knight in tow.

There was great strength gathered in that small ship, a great concentration of the Dark Side that would draw to it their new Dark Master. For days, they drifted through space, lost and in shock at the tumultuous events preceding them, knowing only that they must go on and not surrender to the machinations of their enemies. It was then that Exar Kun found them.

A black shadow, a monstrosity of darkness of hate, he descended upon the wayward ship like a storm, and spoke to them of his plans and the events on Yavin IV. The three most powerful of them; Khan, Jonaleth and Khalin, he appointed his True Heirs, and bestowed upon them the name Kunar as sign of his favour. He taught them his arts of Chronomancy so they might better serve him, and instructed Khan to lead them back to the Brotherhood with new purpose; overthrow the Jedi who had betrayed him and bring about the Final Order. They were to establish a new Clan in his name and finish what he had started.

In the rapture of his presence, they swore their loyalty to him, and went on to Antei as their Dark Master wished. Before the assembly of the Dark Council and the Consuls of the other Clans, Khan spoke of their communion with Kun, and was given leave to establish the new Clan in his name. With the help of the others, Khan created House Byss, founded by Jonaleth for the Krath Order; House Ziost, created by Khalin for the Sith Order, and House Korriban, created by Vally for the Obelisk Order, with Khan as their Consul. Vithril, the young Zabrak, took up his Master Isradia’s banner as Aedile of House Byss, whilst Knight went with Khalin as his second in command in Ziost, and Clan Exar Kun was born to the galaxy.

Soon after, however, tragedy befell the fledgling Clan. A shockwave resonated through their bond to their Dark Master, and as he died at the hands of the Jedi, so part of them withered away also. In an uncontrolled explosion of temporal energy released by the Kunians when the pain of Kun’s death hit them, House Korriban was destroyed, wiped from existence by the power of the gathered Children of Kun. Fuelling their hatred, Khan swore vengeance on the Jedi and the Republic for their attacks and betrayal on their Dark Master, and vowed to see his resurrection and the death of every student of the Jedi.

=== The Sith-Antaran War ===

Their revenge, however, was halted by the Antaran War. In the centuries since the Star Chamber had ruled Antei, other life had taken residence on it, and refused to annex it to its rightful rulers. The Antarans waged guerrilla war on the Dark Brotherhood, but their pirate vessels and troops were no match for the training of the Jedi and the power of the Dark Side. Beside the rest of the Brotherhood, the Clansmen of Kun crushed the Antarans, and captured the neighbouring system of Acarr as their base, thereby also seizing control of a major trade route, the Eidolon Run, and exterminating all competition to their domination as the only stop port along the Run.

Seeing the wisdom in their Master’s plans, the Clansmen plotted their revenge through convert methods. In seizing the Eidolon Run, they established a façade of cultured, peaceful and educated business men and women, and extracted a tariff on all ships and vessels passing through or resting in the Acarr System. The Houses of Clan Exar Kun each played their parts in this; House Byss formed the face of the operation as the merchants, traders, administrators and operatives of the Acarr Trading Consortium, whilst gathering intelligence, information and power to use against and infiltrate the Republic and the Jedi. House Ziost were the soldiers, pilots, enforcers, governors and muscle, at the same time as performing assassinations, extortion and protection services.

With Acarr firmly established as a trading stop and with its bountiful natural resources at its disposal, Clan Exar Kun attempted to work closer to the infiltration, corruption, domination and ultimate destruction of the Republic and the Jedi, and the restoration of their Dark Master.

=== The Pretender and Chi-Long: The End Begins ===

The end of Clan Exar Kun began when the one called known now only by his pseudonym came to power; the Pretender. Since its founding, Exar Kun had been ruled by those who had met the Dark Lords shade, but the Pretender had never spoken with Kun, and did not share his vision. Against the council of Heirs, he took the Clan as his personal tool, and like a hammer of glass, it shattered in his grasp.

The Heirs revolted, and war was waged between clansmen. When finally the dust settled, a single Heir and Elder remained; Jonaleth. But now the Clan was weakened and dying. Disgusted with what had happened and the necessities it had driven him too, Jonaleth swore an oath never again to sit on the seat of power, lest he be forced again to slay his brothers, and passed on the rule of the Clan to another, the former Grand Master Chi-Long, prophesizing that when next he took the seat, it would be a time of Darkness Unending.

Arriving at the scene of the devastation, Chi-Long and his forces tended to the wounded of the Clan as Isradia reported on what had happened, then disappeared. Under the Grand Masters control, the Clan was stabilized again, but would never return to the glory it had known.

=== Dictum of Two Skies ===

The once great Clan Exar Kun was weakened and in shambles, clinging to the shreds of its previous glory and honor as corruption began to spread throughout the Clan. Clan Satal Keto was in the same state as the once glorious Exar Kun, forcing the Dark Council to intervene. In its entirety, the legendary Star Chamber visited the remnants of Exar Kun and Satal Keto, and pronounced the Dictum of Two Skies. There could no longer be two fates for these Clans; they would unite now as one, and lend the strengths of both to a new order for them. The composure of this Clan would be decided in ritual combat; the weak would perish so that the strong might survive.

And thus the Dictum of Two Skies was carried out. New members came to the field, and for a month, Jedi fought Jedi in battle for supremacy, and when the dust finally fell, a new band stood together, united by victory and strength, their weaknesses purged and cleansed in a trial by fire. From the ashes of two Clans arose a new one: Plagueis, a new life born of death. Then the Dictum was released, and as their final act, the Elders of the Star Chamber worked a great feat of Force magic - grasping the skeins of reality itself, they wove together the twin fates of Exar Kun and Satal Keto, and merged their powers into one. And with that the two once great Clans became Houses of the newly formed Clan Plagueis.
The Crimson Tide Emerges

The Crimson Tide became a threat to the recently formed Exar Kun in the Elysian Sector. A pirate organization of exceptional skill and well equipped, the Crimson Tide attacked the shipping and trade routes of House Exar Kun and its possessions. Eventually the brutality and continual disruptions of the Crimson Tide, forced the Clan and the House to act.

The Crimson Tide attacks were disastrously efficient and well planned and if pirate organization continued it would have only been a matter of time before the entire Clan was brought to its knees. Unbeknownst to House Exar Kun, the Tide had more entrenched plans than they expected. The organization had successfully implanted itself throughout the Elysian sector and infiltrated a once desolate region of Ysgard, establishing a highly sophisticated and protected base. The Crimson Tide was more than a minor pirate threat to House Exar Kun.

To combat the entrenched Crimson Tide, House Exar Kun prepared a intricate plan involving the both Battle Teams, Exar’s Shadow and Blades of Kun, along with various upper level House members on separate missions. The House was extremely successful in their missions, destroying the Tide’s Dreadnaught flagship, Ysgard base and the infrastructure within the sector. Unusually, during the mission, an Imperator-class Mark II Star Destroyer appeared and was boarded. The Star Destroyer was vacant, at the House Summit chose to destroy it rather than risk discovering why it was deserted. House Exar Kun had met its first major challenge and successfully united and defeated it.

=== Exar’s Shadow Shines ===

The fourth planet from the sun, Eden, was the location of the once active House Byss then Bane. Shortly after the suspected defeat of the Crimson Tide, House Exar Kun received a signal from the deserted planet and tasked Exar’s Shadow Battle Team with investigation. Originally, the House leadership and intelligence believe that the beckon signal was no more than natives intervening in areas they should not be. Little did the House know it was more complicated.

Upon arrival to the fourth planet of Eden, Exar’s Shadow was already expected by what appeared to be Imperials. During the battles, the Battle Team determined that they were pirates, of none other than the destroyed Crimson Tide. In addition, Exar’s Shadow came in contact with Dark Side users who were well trained in the arts. While throwing the Battle Team off, they successfully defeated this new and unexpected enemy.

After investigation, it was discovered that the Crimson Tide was interested in seizing an artificial intelligence known as Firefly. Firefly was created to guard the knowledge and secrets gained by House Byss and later Bane. Firefly’s task was to take information, link it and extract patters and meanings that even the wisest Krath could not fathom. Foolishly, the pirate organization believed that the Firefly was left in the House Bane complex but it was taken during the closure of Bane and was stored in the vaults of Castle Frost.

In the final move by Exar’s Shadow, the Battle Team ambushed evacuating Crimson Tide members and captured their leader, Alonzo Bodelle. Exar’s Shadow successfully restrained the Crimson Tide pirate chief to return him to Castle Frost for interrogaton. In a closing measure, the Battle Team members ordered the removal of foreign materials and dead bodies from the planet and reactivated the House’s security systems, ensuring that no one trespasses again.

=== Kun’s Requiem Razes ===

On Elysian rested a great temple that Kun’s Requiem was charged to investigate for possible activity. The House leaders pitted Exar’s Shadow and Kun’s Requiem against one another on separate important missions, hoping that both Battle Teams would force the other to excel. In addition, the temple mission was one that was not set to be overly dangerous and in the House leaders’ opinion, inter-House rivalry was needed. (The mission Exar’s Shadow was tasked with is written above.)

Upon reaching the temple, the Battle Team discovered a defensive perimeter already in place. It was as the House leaders had feared, a pirate organization has set up a base right under the Dark Jedi’s noses. With great skill, Kun’s Requiem successfully disabled the defenses and invaded the temple. The Battle Team discovered a research facility and after questioning the chief scientist, Kun’s Requiem engaged in total destruction of the temple’s facilities. The ruined facility became evidence of the infamous Crimson Tide had survived.

After the minor interrogation, Kun’s Requiem discovered that the Tide was going to strike. The Battle Team took the various fighters and shuttle it possessed and prepared for battle. The battle began as the Battle Team was in the midst of preparations; the pirate organization had known the Dark Jedi were coming. Outnumbered over six times, the Battle Team entered the fray, with six TIE Defenders and one shuttle.

After a long battle, the pirates eventually surrendered and requested that the Dark Jedi board their vessel. Against their better judgment, Kun’s Requiem entered the pirate ship. With a safe entrance, the Battle Team prepared for a trap. After being invited for drinks, with Imperial-dressed officers, Kun’s Requiem sprung the trap. In the ship’s mess, the Battle Team destroyed the majority of the crew and began to exterminate the rest of the pirates. With the skill of veteran Dark Jedi and the Dark Side of the Force, Kun’s Requiem destroyed the pirates and after escaping the ship, destroyed it. The Battle Team had discovered remnants of the Crimson Tide in their mission, causing for unrest to spread throughout the members of the now infamous Kun’s Requiem.

=== Abandoning Acarr, Jusidah Becomes Home ===

In the Acarr system, the sun was shuddering with anger. The great feat of the Star Chamber, the Dictum of the Two Skies, had distorted reality by merging the great powers of Exar Kun and Satal Keto, causing the heart of the great star of Sigil to falter. The doom was close, but the Clan and Houses still had time to act. With great speed, the Clan mobilized and began evacuation, fleeing to the Jusidah system.

During the evacuation, the dreaded Crimson Tide returned to seek vengeance on their defeaters, and launched an attack on the moving Plagueis forces. The Clan fought valiantly, and despite overwhelming odds against them, held back the Tide forces until the evacuation could be completed. In a final act of malign vengeance, Consul Kir Katarn and Proconsul Aristan Dantes blockaded the system, trapping the majority of the mercenary forces within as Sigil went supernova.

With the bulk of the pirate organization destroyed, House Exar Kun began construction of their primary headquarters on their new planet of Aerun, a peaceful planet engulfed in deadly forests.

=== Recapturing the Captured ===

For months Battle Team Exar's Shadow, led by Aabsdu, interrogated Alonzo Bodelle, but they could pull nothing valuable from him. One night, a small squad of pirates unrelated to the Crimson Tide invaded Diadem Fortress. They released Alonzo from his sell and stole blueprints to the Dark Tower on Jusadih.

Quaestor Braecen quickly sent the house's two battle teams, Exar's Shadow and Blades of Kun, after the pirates. They chased each other for nine days before finally coming to an epic battle over the planet of Dathomir. Blades of Kun fought the forces in space, while Exar's Shadow boarded the pirates' capital ship, The Killer. Exar's Shadow placed bombs all throughout the ship, and detonated them while Commander Aabsdu searched for Alonzo. In the end, however, the team was forced to retreat as the ship started to fall apart. They left, sure that Alonzo and the rest of the pirates had been killed.

They were unaware, however, that Alonzo had in fact survived. He made his way to Dathomir, where he met up with the rest of the Crimson Tide, and slowly they formed their plan to attack Clan Plagueis once again.

=== Great Jedi War ===

Once again the entire Brotherhood became engulfed in conflict with the emergence of two Grand Masters, both claiming their right to the Iron Throne. The Clans fought against one another and Clan Plagueis formed its own enemies in this war. At the onset, the Clan was greatly divided but upon the monumental efforts of the Clan and House Summits, the Plagueians united as one.

During the conflict, House Exar Kun received the greatest damage and greatest victory. Members of the enemy Clan Naga Sadow with rebelling Aerunians attempted an invasion and destruction of Exar Kun’s headquarters, Diadem Fortress. After a great battle that resulted in the damage of Diadem Fortress the Kunians successfully defeated the forces of Naga Sadow and reclaimed control of the Aerun population. Although a sweeping success, Diadem Fortress was extremely damaged and weakness in the defenses were revealed but House Exar Kun remained stalwart, awaiting the next mission to be assigned to them.

The decision had been made by the Clan Summit to attack the bastion on Selen, the Arconae Citadel, headquarters of one of Plagueis’ prime enemies, Clan Arcona. In a joint effort, the entire Clan swept into the Selen system, engulfing it in the might of Plagueis. Both Houses moved on the Arconae fleets, destroying or disabling them, and then prepared for the planetary invasion. Although Arconae defenses were greater than believed, the Houses swept in successfully defeating the Arconae forces after hours of long battles.

After several long months, the conflict known as the Sixth Great Jedi War came to an end, with no Clan freed from destruction and loss. Although House Exar Kun had lost a great deal, the experience and prestige the Kunians achieved was worth the sacrifice.

=== New Dawn ===

In the short time House Exar Kun had been established, a great deal of activities and successes has become part of its history. The House’s success has already brought it great prestige and nostalgia of the glory days of Clan Exar Kun could be heard throughout the Diadem Fortress on Aerun. The House is more than ready to attain great glory; it is only a matter of time until House Exar Kun is given the chance.

== Exalted Lords of Kun ==

Every so often an individual comes around who goes above and beyond the call of duty, being active on all fronts and fiercely loyal and supportive of House Exar Kun. When someone displays such character, the House Summit shall belay on this person the title of Exalted Lord of Kun!

All members of the House Summit and former Exalted Lords have the ability to submit a request to the Quaestor to have someone appointed to the position. Upon gathering the requests, the Quaestor, with some guidance from the Aedile, shall decide on the next to wear the title. Upon reaching a decision, the Quaestor shall preside over a ceremony naming the new Lord of Kun and make the announcement to the entire House.

Exalted Lords of Kun hold a position of honor and prestige in House Exar Kun. They maintain a position in the HEK Fleet Chain of Command (with the current Lord holding the most authority of the group), gain permanent special seating at House meetings, have their name placed in the Line of Kun, and are often looked to for guidance and support by the House Summit.

Candidates for the position of Exalted Lord of Kun must be faithful and active servants of both Exar Kun and Clan Plagueis. They should support the house through one or all of the following ways: gaming, writing, fictional development, leadership, outstanding service to the House, recruitment, helping guide new members, etc. They must be known for maintaining ethics and politeness on the message board and in the IRC. They also must be very trustworthy, and vow not to betray the house and clan.

Someone loses the title of Exalted Lord of Kun and is removed from the Line of Kun if they bring dishonor to Exar Kun or Clan Plagueis, most often in the form of being found guilty of something by the Chamber of Justice. Likewise, should a member leave House Exar Kun (unless they are seeking a position of greater leadership), they shall lose the title.

When one is replaced by a new Lord of Kun, they shall keep their seat in meetings, and their title in the Line forever (or until something in the above paragraph happens). Only the reigning Lord of Kun, however, will be given the most authority. Many times being given information that only the Quaestor and Aedile are aware of.

==Description==
Occasionally a member will truly go above and beyond the call of duty, creating a harmony that will lift them above their peers. This true harmony between latent skills will garner one great prestige, unprecedented in Clan history. This is nearly impossible, except to those who have the utmost dedication and activity in their efforts for the Clan.

These individuals fall into the same flow as former great Dark Jedi, and thereby their accordance to harmony will garner them the title of Prodigy of Plagueis. They will use their advanced skills to further their House, Clan and the Brotherhood as a whole. Amongst their normal duties they will collect another set: Protector of the Clan Summit. Not only will they be responsible for the safety of both Consul and Proconsul, but also the security of the Clan itself.

Members who join this elite group are Champions of the Clan and have earned their position through hard work and dedication. These are the assassins, scholars and taskmasters of the Clan. They are the highest moral authority amongst the regular members of the Clan and are much admired...

They are the Prodigies of Plaguies

===Selection of Prodigy===
The Clan Summit will, whenever they see fit, appoint a member of Clan Plagueis with the coveted title of "Prodigy of Plagueis". The Prodigy must exemplify the qualities and attributes of the Clan, shows a clear yearning to learn more of the Dark Side and a willingness to aid the Clan in any way possible.

When a Prodigy is named by the summit, they will remain reigning Prodigy until a new one is appointed. The minimum length a Prodigy can reign is one month; there is no maximum. The Summit may appoint someone the title of Prodigy of Plagueis more than once, if they wish, and their name shall appear then appear multiple times on the Line of the Prodigies.

===Powers of the Prodigy===
The Prodigy of Plagueis shall possess the following gifts and powers upon receiving his title:

; Use of the Clan Assault Cruiser Ambition : The ship and crew shall be placed under the command of the reigning Prodigy when they require it. This can be overlooked in times of war when the entire fleet is under the direct command of the Consul.

; Title : The Prodigy of Plagueis will be able to use their title on all official documents. They may simply write "Prodigy of Plagueis", or add their number in the line (IE: Second Prodigy of Plagues, Prodigy of Plagueis II).

; Office : The Prodigy of Plagueis shall have an office within the Clan Plagueis Headquarters to use as needed.

; Honor : Prodigies of Plagueis are seated second in honor at all Clan gatherings, directly behind the Clan and House summit members. They are to be treated with the utmost respect by all Clan members at all times.

; Shared Powers : Command of the Ambition and use of the Prodigy office are powers held for the sitting Prodigy alone. All former Prodigies retain the use of the title and their seats of honor.

===Duties of the Prodigy===
The Prodigy of Plagueis has a duty to serve the Clan and perform the will of the Summit. They are to be of service to new members, answer questions if they can, run routine checks of the home system aboard the Ambition, and do other tasks the Summit requires of them. In addition, Prodigies are the foremost enforcers of Clan las, just behind the Summit. The title is an honor, but Prodigies are expected to uphold the high standards of the Prodigy heritage.

===Removal of a Prodigy===
Should a Prodigy of Plagueis commit grave treason against the Clan or the Brotherhood of Dark Jedi as a whole, the Clan Summit shall remove them of their title and privileges. If a Prodigy of Plagueis loses his or her title, they are removed from the Line of Plagueis forever.
