Ernordeth Puer-Irae is a fierce [[Guardian]] of [[Tarentum]] within the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood]]. He will allow nothing to get in his way during the rise of Tarentum's Growing Flame.

== Character History ==

Ernordeth Puer-Irae, a humanoid Sith, standing at 1.9 meters and weighing in at 75 kilograms, intimidating most of his opponents, was "born" in 27 ABY. Now approaching the ripe age of 22, Ernordeth took a step toward his destiny, according to the Unifying Force, and joined the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood]] in 37 ABY. He has thrown himself into action giving 100% devotion, much like the Obelisk in any task, to prove his worth to the Brotherhood. He thirsts for the approval of others, stemming from a lonely childhood.

===Origins===

Ernordeth has very little memory about his origins. He expects his birth was some time near 3,640 BBY near the Outer Rim. Only vague glimpses of the red skinned face of his father and smooth white fair skin of his mother float throughout his brain. He was only at the young age of 12 when he was frozen in a cryogenic hibernation capsule. Upon awakening in 27 ABY there were only traces of his past. It remains uncertain if he opened the capsule through unconscious use of the Force or if the very will of the Force reached to unleash this Sith Marauder upon the galaxy.

===A Cold Awakening===

Ernordeth awoke in a cold, dimly lit ship floating beyond the Outer Rim. It took what seemed like days for the yellow eyes to adjust to more than just unconscious closed eyelids. As the world swirled into a clear picture the Sith child begin seeing the only images he could remember seeing aside from the faces in his mind, now faded with time. At first glance the ship seemed empty as if it had always been void of sentient life. Ernordeth worked his way through the inner workings of the fury class starship. Eventually he came across small tatters of a brown robe and black cloak a few meters from the boarding door. Hidden underneath was a datapad containing only one message, missing letters from the millennia of wear and tear. “Son of the Wr th, Y u will be a gr t Sith w rr or when ou gro up. Fol ow in y fo tst ps and ch k the cargo ho d. Do not we p fo us.”

===The Journey Begins===

His body, untouched by the passage of millennia in carbonite remained had as a 12 year old, however his unconscious mind continued to turn, clawing for knowledge in the void, yet continuing to grow. This led to his ability to comprehend more than the average 12 year old; his mental faculties operates as an adult in his 20s. Following the instructions found on the datapad Ernordeth had discovered items of great use in the cargo hold. The treasures included enough credits to last live slightly beyond moderately for the next 30 years, weapons, armor buried underneath robes, and datapads containing the history of his progenitors. The last two items caught his attention. One was a single bladed lightsaber, light red in hue with a short, light hilt. The other called to him, hatred and a burning desire echoed throughout the room, penetrating Ernordeth as he picked up the heavy, dark alloy of an intricately carved saberstaff. Two deep, bloodstained blades erupted from each end with a hum that resembled the growl of a demon and Ernordeth’s pulse began to rise as the gyroscopic vibrations forced him to tighten his grip to avoid it slipping to the floor and a sinister smile spread itself upon his face. With this weapon in his hand he felt like a God with seraphic power. Staring out from the pilot's chair of the Final Way it was obvious no matter what time you’re from the universe is cold, dark, and quiet. All that interrupts the blanket of darkness are the twinkling lights of the stars, but an irrational urge to crush these lights began to ripple through Ernordeth’s blood. Darkness is all he’s known; darkness is his only friend; darkness is what he must become. His thoughts naturally focused on the last few hours. Research was going to be required; he felt a need to read everything he could find in the ship to discover who he was, but first he needed to replenish and nourish his body. With a glance at the holomap, Ernordeth selected his first destination.

She began asking him a few questions, such as name and background, before moving on to what he had done. The man withdrew his blaster and shot at the girl, but she dodged the attack, and the man was shot on the spot. That’s when she knew that she had special abilities. Her mission was deemed successful, and from then until she joined Tarentum, she lived under the tutelage of the Kratocracy.

Soon after she arrived at her new home, she asked about the strange powers, but was told not to use “the Force” anymore. A strange concept to her, she studied about it as much as she can. She secretly trained herself in the Dark Side of the Force while she wasn’t on any missions, keeping her special abilities a secret while out of her room. She soon figured out how to find traps using the Force, and carefully used it to her advantage.

Her teen years were nothing special to her. She went on quite a few missions for the Kratocracy and lived a good life for the most part. Being alone almost all of her life since leaving her parents, Saronyx began to want to interact with her peers, though she was brushed off most of the time. It seemed as though everyone was busy all the time.

It didn’t seem too long to her when the Kratocracy began rebelling against their own leaders, House Tarentum. Saronyx went on several missions to find out what Tarentum was planning, although she didn’t get very far at all. She gathered little evidence, even when using the Force to search the minds of the people she interrogated. At first, she saw the rebellion as a good thing for her and the Kratocracy, but she soon realized that all they wanted was power. She heard about one of Tarentum’s leaders’ deaths before she was sent out to find other enemies.

The one enemy she found was a human female that went by the name of [[Syrna Valkiss]]. The human appeared angry, vowing her master’s revenge. As Saronyx did what she thought she had to, she became puzzled. The woman was angry because her master, her friend, was executed. Saronyx started to regret what she did and stayed in her room until she was called on a special mission: to infiltrate Castle Tarentum and wipe out all of the other leaders.
Saronyx was taken in to Castle Tarentum as a wounded person, waking up in the medical wing. She soon found the strength to get up and make her way out the door, to seek out the main leader of Tarentum, [[Sith Bloodfyre-Tarentae]]. After easily navigating the hallways, she found him in a room. Scared, she ducked by the doorway as to not be seen from the window. The door suddenly opened, and she landed on her back, surprised, and let her guard down. She was questioned by the Quaestor, but answered all of them by transferring her thoughts to his mind. She soon revealed her true intentions to Bloodfyre before running to the door to stop other Syndicate members from barging in. At first, the leaders didn’t believe her and contained her for the few moments as the other Syndicates appeared. The syndicates contained and put into holding cells, Saronyx apologized for doubting Tarentum and was soon on her way to Antei to start her studies as a newly-recruited Tarenti.

===Rebirth: Into Darkness===
Saronyx studied hard, but not long. She passed her Test of Lore before heading back to Yridia II to assist her new allies in defeating her new enemies. As soon as the battle was over, however, she went back to the Shadow Academy to learn about Tarentum, and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood in general. Her studies granted her the knowledge to match her skills in the Force, bumping her up to Guardian in seemingly no time.

Her experience on Yridia II has been enjoyable from the start as she had made friends already. She personally apologized to Arturis Schulen, who had somehow survived a brutal extermination witnessed by several people, for what she did to his former apprentice. It wasn’t long before Arturis transferred into a different house, though. Sith Bloodfyre-Tarentae, Archean Erinos Tarentae, and Maxamillian von Oberst Tarentae were the first three people from Tarentum, other than Syrna Valkiss, that she encountered. Although Bloodfyre became a friend, Saronyx really connected with Archean, who accompanied her to and from Antei, as a guide and to make sure Saronyx wasn’t tricking them. Saronyx soon proved herself, however, and was accepted into Tarentum with open arms… and slight skepticism.

Saronyx is a purple Twi’lek, average in height, (at 6’3”) weight, (160 lbs.) lekku length, (the tips slightly below her waist) and just about everything else. Her brown eyes can be piercing, sympathetic, compassionate, or anywhere in between depending on the situation and the persons involved. When she goes on missions, she typically wears skin-tight pants, long-sleeved shirt, gloves and boots without heels, all black, leaving only her head showing. Casually, she wears looser pants, a short-sleeved shirt showing her stomach, and heeled boots. She rarely leaves her room without her headdress on.

===Personality===
Saronyx is a playful character when she’s not on missions or training. She’s also nervous around new people while not on a mission. She’s generally in a good mood and loves hanging out with her newfound friends.

When she’s on a mission, however, Saronyx is completely different. She gets serious and doesn’t lose focus of her task at hand. She confronts anyone she feels the need to confront without fear.

Saronyx was born on Yridia IX to Twi’lek spies. She immediately started training as an undercover agent herself and joined the Yridian Kratocracy early in her life, working for them until they rebelled; she soon saw the right path and joined Tarentum.

==History==
Saronyx had lived on Yridia IX most of her life. Since birth, the government has seen her to be a superb undercover agent, going on her own missions since she was five years old. At eighteen, when the Kratocracy began their revolt against Tarentum, she turned her back on them and joined the people that were once her enemies.

===Birth===
Saronyx was born on the third day of the Festival of Stars, a [[starwars:Fete Week|Festival Week]] between the ninth and tenth months of the year, according to the [[starwars:Galactic Standard Calendar|Galactic Standard Calendar]]. The year was 17 ABY. It was a typical day in the metropolis of [[Eden City]], very busy, when Saronyx was born. Her parents served the Yridian Kratocracy as undercover agents themselves at the time; they immediately started raising their baby girl to follow in their footsteps.

===Early Life===
The Yridian Kratocracy didn’t hear about Saronyx until she was five. That’s when they asked her parents about taking the little girl on her first mission: to find a man and question him, drawing attention to them so everybody knows what happened. Saronyx did, of course, have backup; it was a good thing, too. As Saronyx walked into the Mirage, she noticed a man, dressed in all black, matching the description. She began asking him a few questions, such as name and background, before moving on to what he had done. The man withdrew his blaster and shot at the girl, but she dodged the attack, and the man was shot on the spot. That’s when she knew that she had special abilities. Her mission was deemed successful, and from then until she joined Tarentum, she lived under the tutelage of the Kratocracy.
Soon after she arrived at her new home, she asked about the strange powers, but was told not to use “the Force” anymore. A strange concept to her, she studied about it as much as she can. She secretly trained herself in the Dark Side of the Force while she wasn’t on any missions, keeping her special abilities a secret while out of her room. She soon figured out how to find traps using the Force, and carefully used it to her advantage.

===Teen Years===
Her teen years were nothing special to her. She went on quite a few missions for the Kratocracy and lived a good life for the most part. Being alone almost all of her life since leaving her parents, Saronyx began to want to interact with her peers, though she was brushed off most of the time. It seemed as though everyone was busy all the time.
It didn’t seem too long to her when the Kratocracy began rebelling against their own leaders, House Tarentum. Saronyx went on several missions to find out what Tarentum was planning, although she didn’t get very far at all. She gathered little evidence, even when using the Force to search the minds of the people she interrogated. At first, she saw the rebellion as a good thing for her and the Kratocracy, but she soon realized that all they wanted was power. She heard about one of Tarentum’s leaders’ deaths before she was sent out to find other enemies.
The one enemy she found was a human female that went by the name of [[Syrna Valkiss]]. The human appeared angry, vowing her master’s revenge. As Saronyx did what she thought she had to, she became puzzled. The woman was angry because her master, her friend, was executed. Saronyx started to regret what she did and stayed in her room until she was called on a special mission: to infiltrate Castle Tarentum and wipe out all of the other leaders.
Saronyx was taken in to Castle Tarentum as a wounded person, waking up in the medical wing. She soon found the strength to get up and make her way out the door, to seek out the main leader of Tarentum, [[Sith Bloodfyre-Tarentae]]. After easily navigating the hallways, she found him in a room. Scared, she ducked by the doorway as to not be seen from the window. The door suddenly opened, and she landed on her back, surprised, and let her guard down. She was questioned by the Quaestor, but answered all of them by transferring her thoughts to his mind. She soon revealed her true intentions to Bloodfyre before running to the door to stop other Syndicate members from barging in. At first, the leaders didn’t believe her and contained her for the few moments as the other Syndicates appeared. The syndicates contained and put into holding cells, Saronyx apologized for doubting Tarentum and was soon on her way to Antei to start her studies as a newly-recruited Tarenti.

===Rebirth: Into Darkness===
Saronyx studied hard, but not long. She passed her Test of Lore before heading back to Yridia II to assist her new allies in defeating her new enemies. As soon as the battle was over, however, she went back to the Shadow Academy to learn about Tarentum, and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood in general. Her studies granted her the knowledge to match her skills in the Force, bumping her up to Guardian in seemingly no time.
Her experience on Yridia II has been enjoyable from the start as she had made friends already. She personally apologized to Arturis Schulen, who had somehow survived a brutal extermination witnessed by several people, for what she did to his former apprentice. It wasn’t long before Arturis transferred into a different house, though. Sith Bloodfyre-Tarentae, Archean Erinos Tarentae, and Maxamillian von Oberst Tarentae were the first three people from Tarentum, other than Syrna Valkiss, that she encountered. Although Bloodfyre became a friend, Saronyx really connected with Archean, who accompanied her to and from Antei, as a guide and to make sure Saronyx wasn’t tricking them. Saronyx soon proved herself, however, and was accepted into Tarentum with open arms… and slight skepticism.

Syrna always had a hard life, living in an orphanage, then school and exile. She always felt the Dark Side pulling at her to join, but never knew what it was. She happily joined the Dark Jedi Brotherhood after Severon had asked her to.

=== Syrna's Birth ===
On a cold, dark night, Syrna was born on Alderaan. Her mother was Lady Vessina Bolshev; her father was killed on the [[starwars:Tantive_IV|Tantive IV]] after serving as a member of [[starwars:Leia_Organa_Solo|Princess Leia’s]] staff. Syrna never knew any of her family because her parents put her in an orphanage right after her birth, thinking that a girl would bring weakness to the family. Syrna didn’t have any siblings as far as she knew.

=== Childhood Destroyed ===
The orphanage gave Syrna a hard life. They made her do all of the hard work, thinking that she would never learn how to defend herself if they were easy on her. Syrna also developed a decent work ethic while she was there.

Syrna had barely started school when she heard of a person named Semptos. He did very well in everything he did, academic or athletic. After hearing that he was of the line of Bolshev, Syrna immediately sought him out. She wanted to tell him that she was his sister, but he didn’t believe her since she didn’t live with them. As persistent as Syrna was, she kept asking Semptos for help. He shunned her every time.

The students were, in general, mean to Syrna. Most kids made fun of her; some bullied her around. The orphanage was getting stricter, and Syrna started thinking that nobody loved her. In her anger, she ran away at the age of ten. She hopped on a ship heading to [[starwars:Coruscant|Coruscant]], looking back one last time only to watch as the [[starwars:Death_Star|Death Star]] destroyed Alderaan and her childhood. She couldn’t help but grin and laugh at the sight of the planet blowing up.

The captain of the ship heard someone in the room and came in and looked around. When he saw Syrna, he had a sorrowful look on his face. After asking what family Syrna had, he tried to find someone to take her in. However, there was no one. The captain reluctantly let her finish the trip to Coruscant.

=== Life on Coruscant ===
When she landed on Coruscant, the first thing Syrna did was look for work. The first place she wanted to get a job at was a weapon factory, where her mathematic skills, strength, and work ethic would be an advantage. However, she noticed that everything was destroyed. The captain of the ship asked her about herself, and thought that she would be a great asset after seeing her work.

For a few years, Syrna served as the right hand woman of the captain. He was the one that taught her the history of the galaxy, helped her develop a better work ethic, and trained her to fight. Syrna did what she was told when she was told to do it. The captain eventually became more of a father figure for Syrna – that is, until she made a mistake. The captain beat anyone that made a mistake; the bigger mistakes called for harsher punishments. All Syrna could do was sit there and take the blows as they came.

== Adulthood ==

=== Into Adulthood ===
Syrna’s mistakes were minuscule, but she was still beaten. From the first smallest mistake and the easier beatings came bigger ones, and Syrna couldn’t take it anymore. At age 14, she found a way to escape, and she looked for work. She found a factory, somehow still standing, and got a job there. After earning enough money for her ship, The Phoenix, Syrna once again looked elsewhere for a job. At age 18, she decided to become a [[starwars:Bounty_hunter|bounty hunter]] and then a mercenary.

No one would hire Syrna for anything because she was still quite beaten up. They thought that she was too weak to do anything. Everyone shunned her, and soon they began to exile her. She was disappointed to say the least - it felt as if she was back in the orphanage and school.

Not being able to communicate with many people, Syrna began to feel alone and needed a companion. While taking a bounty-hunting job on [[starwars:Tatooine|Tatooine]], a small [[starwars:Droid|droid]] caught her eye. She asked for the droid in return rather than money. The droid, like Syrna, looked a little beaten, but it was something.

The droid was more than it appeared to be. It could speak many languages, fight decently, and even think rationally. The droid listened to Syrna tell her story and told Syrna its own. After working together for some time, the droid and Syrna would be inseparable. Syrna had everything she needed – or so she thought…

=== Lost Memories ===
Soon after finding the droid, Syrna decided to live in her ship for a while. She changed her last name to Valkiss, so she wouldn’t live as the loser everyone saw her as. She wanted to be as far away as possible from everyone. She had time to think about her past, present, and possible future. But no matter what she thought, her mind went back to Alderaan and her family. With the help of her droid, she soon began her search for someone – anyone – in the family line of Bolshev. She asked everyone she ran into, but everyone said that they had all died on Alderaan. However, Syrna felt that there was at least one other that was still alive.

The search continued for many years, and for many years everyone told her that they had all died. Soon, they stopped listening to Syrna, thinking of her as a lunatic. Syrna became frustrated that no one would believe her. She vowed never to talk to many people again, and her ship became her home.

=== Syrna's Brother ===
One day, Syrna decided to go out for a drink. She sat at the bar in her favorite pub on [[Yridia IX]], not knowing much about the [[starwars:Dark_side|Dark Side]]. She asked the bartender about her family. The bartender told her the stories that he heard, and Syrna was saddened by the loss of her whole family. She told the bartender that there has to be one more that’s still alive. The bartender knew of no one but trusted Syrna’s judgment.

Just then, Syrna felt the [[starwars:The_Force|Force]] tug on her as someone else walked through the door. Even if she didn’t recognize the tug, she turned to see who had entered. Not knowing who the person was, she thought that it was nothing and continued sipping on her drink. The man sat at the bar next to Syrna, ordered a drink himself, and began to study the girl. He struck up a conversation with her, introducing himself as Severon Vercingetorix and learning a lot about Syrna. After Severon had heard of the Bolshev lineage, he told her that he was her brother. Syrna looked confused because she didn’t know about having any sibling, let alone a twin. Severon told her about his own past and what he’s doing now. Syrna was happy to know that she had that one family member, the one she told everybody about but no one listened. Severon invited Syrna to join the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, and she readily accepted.

As Severon led Syrna to his ship, she couldn’t help but look back at the bartender. The bartender looked bewildered as he wondered how many more Bolshev’s are out there.

=== A New Life ===
As soon as Syrna reached [[Antei]], she knew that she had everything she needed. Her brother and her droid were her companions, the remaining Bolshev’s were reunited, and she had a home where she could interact with other people – people that wouldn’t shun her just because she looked weak or acted crazy at times. She almost instantly gained new friends and knew that she would enjoy her time here.

As Syrna’s just beginning in the Brotherhood, she hasn’t done much. Her studies at the [[Shadow Academy]] and involvement in one competition were enough to get her promoted to [[Acolyte]]. Syrna hoped to do well in the Brotherhood and forget the past that haunted her until her death.

=== Time Cut Short ===
Syrna never felt like she was good enough for Tarentum. The feeling was worsened when her brother, Severon, left Tarentum for the new Light-side house Odan-Urr, and Syrna's master Ronovi left for Arcona. She was soon placed under Arturis' leadership and started training right away. It wasn't long, however, before Arturis was kidnapped and murdered by Syndicates, a group of rebels intent on taking control of the Yridia System. Syrna made a suicidal trip to avenge her former master.
