Born during the tumultuous times of the Galactic Civil War, Reb was the son of Chan Crush, a civil servant in the Corellian Government, and Sally Davish, a nurse at Coronet Medical Central. Living in the relatively quiet of a Coronet suburb they were a happy family, until the bombing of the 17th district governmental building in [[11 ABY]]. Both Sally and Chan were killed, leaving Reb an orphan. Although placed in a government orphanage he ran away several times; considered a problem case he was then put into a foster-family. During these years he often helped his adoptive father, a mechanic, repair ships at Coronet Spaceport, revealing a talent for fixing devices.

Ultimately, however, Reb desired to leave the place of his troubled childhood. He stowed away on one of the ships he had been repairing, which turned out to be bound to the Aurora system in Emperor's Hammer territory. There he joined the TIE Corps, dreaming of becoming a famous pilot and desiring to avenge his parents, believing the bombing to have been a New Republic operation.

There he saw quite some action and proved to be a capable, if no exceptional, pilot. Though initially driven by revenge, killing nameless Rebel pilots gave little satisfaction to Reb and as his view of the galaxy expanded, he began to doubt the circumstances surrounding his parents death. After two tours of duty he tired of the endless killing as a fighter pilot and he decided to take up his old profession of tinkering with starships and join the engineering corps. This proved to be an excellent opportunity for Reb to display his talents and quickly rose in the ranks, ultimately reaching the rank of Vice-Admiral. More importantly, however, he finally had found a place where he belonged and was quite happy.

Much to his surprise, Reb did indeed seem to be attuned to the Force and was accepted into [[House Cestus]] of [[Clan Tarentum]]. This was where he met [[Michael Halcyon]].

For some reason, Reb felt drawn to the charismatic and powerful Jedi and asked whether he would take him as his apprentice. This, however, presented Halcyon with a dilemma, as another House member, Zekk, also desired to learn from him. Rather than picking favourites, he let would the Force and skill decide: both aspiring apprentices were to face-off in a lightsaber duel. Despite having far less training than his opponent, Reb managed to best Zekk in a gruelling fight. Still not pleased, Halcyon then dared Reb to duel him. Again he fought valiantly and managed to sufficiently impress the older Jedi. Michael Halcyon would take Reb as his apprentice, but there was one catch: he would be trained in the light side of the Force. Though initially surprised, he knew it was the right thing to do and thus became Michael Halcyon's first padawan learner. Under his guidance, Reb's grasp of the Force quickly grew.

As the chaotic events of the Exodus began to take place, both Jedi refused to take sides and merely watched, from a safe distance, Sith battling other Sith on a scale unseen before in this age. When at last the fighting ended they decided to stay with the Imperial Remnant.

Not long after these events Michael Halcyon at last deemed his padawan ready to be tested as a true Jedi Knight. Passing them flawlessly, he became the first (and so far only) Jedi Knight to have been fully trained within the Dark Brotherhood.

Though no longer connected by the bond of master and padawan, they had become good friends and one was rarely involved in something without some aid from the other. When Michael Halcyon ultimately decided to leave the Dark Brotherhood for the Outer Rim territories, there was little that compelled Reb to stay in the Brotherhood. Combined with the ever increasing difficulty of keeping their alignment hidden, he also wandered through the galaxy, seeking his destiny.

=== A Change of Name ===
During their many travels, Mike and Reb were often guided by visions from the Force; for Michael these often took the form of one of his Halcyon ancestors, for Reb they nearly always appeared in the form of Cay Qel-Droma. Even before separating, both Jedi had speculated on the origin of this connection to the long-dead Jedi and somewhere during his travels Reb concluded that he was indeed a descendent of the ancient Jedi family. When Michael Halcyon asked his old friend to rejoin him in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood during his tenure as [[Lord Marshal]], Reb decided to use the name of Qel-Droma both to hide his identity from the Sith and the Imperial Remnant.

When the deceit of Michael Halcyon was ultimately discovered by the Dark Council, Reb fled Antei with him. His current whereabouts are unknown.

While trying to reconstruct my own timeline I came across some probable inaccuracies in yours; you claim to have switched orders in 19 ABY. However, some research using the Internet Wayback Machine reveals that I joined the DB on 2002-11-8 (late 18 ABY), at which point you were already an Obelisk in House Cestus. I also wonder where you found the time to meditate in the Outer Rim, as you were supposedly quite busy training me...

Though you claim 'three long years of absence' from 20 to 22 ABY EHDB records indicate you only left as OHC on 2004-4-6 (early 21 ABY) and according to DJB records were appointed LM on 2004-5-11 (still 21 ABY). I'd hardly call that three years! In addition, you couldn't have turned to the light during that period as you'd been training me as your Padawan much earlier (18-19 ABY).

You've made a claim that seems to say your brother was given into the custody of the Drall in 21 BBY to avoid the clutches of Darth Vader. That's simply not possible, in 21 BBY Anakin Skywalker was still the Padawan of Obi-wan Kenobi. Darth Vader didn't exist until the ending days of the Clone War in the year 19 BBY. -- [[User:Retoru|Retoru]]

Dunno, the way it's written it seems to imply that the sibling was given up into custody of the Drall before he was even born.
