Dismal Dupar is a [[Sith Warrior]] of the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood]]. He serves under the banner of [[House Marka Ragnos]] and [[Clan Naga Sadow]]. Dismal is known for being generally brash and reckless, and usually does things on the slightest whim. Since being imprisoned and tortured during the [[Invasion of Jusadih]], he has shown signs of a neurosis. === Childhood ===

Dismal Ryokou was one of three children born to Michael and Cristina Ryokou on the Imperial planet of [[Sif]]. Both of Dismal’s parents were employed in the [[Emperor's Hammer|Emperor’s Hammer's]] corporate division. All of the Ryokou children lived what could be considered a ‘normal’ childhood in their parents’ loving care and watchful eye.

Soon it would come to attention Dismal’s Force-sensitivity. A Jedi Knight by the name of Susan Fortis was on a mission to the boy’s homeworld on the year 3 ABY, scouting for Force-sensitive children. Knowing the dangers of a Jedi on an Imperial aligned world, the woman came under the guise of a doctor, offering free blood tests to children four years and older. She arrived soon at the Ryokou household, and bearing a fake medical license and Force-aided trickery, Dismal’s parents gave their consent for him to be tested.

Very promptly, the results of Dismal’s blood test returned: he was indeed sensitive to the Force. The Jedi Knight snuck into his home the following night, snatching the boy from his bed. Susan knew what she was doing was wrong, but she also knew that it was for his own good. So, the Jedi left the planet with the child, where he would begin his training as a Jedi.

=== The Jedi Way ===
''3 ABY – 20 ABY''

Susan went straight to Dantooine, watching after Dismal as if he were her own son. He eventually grew out of boyhood, and continued his training throughout adolescence. In 15 ABY, Dismal had reached the peak of manhood, and was proving himself a capable Knight, already well into the construction of his first lightsaber.

However, one thing impeded the man. His emotions constantly got the best of him, and his actions for the most part seemed reckless and rather brash. Susan, now a Jedi Master, constantly warned him to keep his emotions in check, and think about things well before doing them, but this he could never quite do. He would always lash out with little provocation at the younger Jedi, and would hurt the local Padawans in lightsaber duels, using his strength to full advantage.

Dismal was also very fond of researching the dark arts. As time wore on, his interest grew and grew. By 18 ABY, he had begun to secretly practice techniques of the dark side. This finally came to the attention of the Jedi Council in 20 ABY, and Master Fortis was instructed to scold her apprentice, and then summon him to a hearing before the Council.

Somewhat reluctantly, Susan agreed, going to fetch Dismal. When she arrived at the man’s quarters, she began to do as instructed. It was then that the man revealed all that he had been doing, and his true dark intentions, and the errors he saw in the way the Jedi managed things. Fueling his actions with anger and hatred, Dismal drew his saber and slew Susan Fortis, who was by then well aged.

=== Crimson Tide ===

Dismal quickly fled the temple on Dantooine, stealing an X-Wing and traveling to Chandrila. There, he hoped to live in peace and continue to hone his skills on his own. He soon began to hear word of a pirating group called the Crimson Tide, which had an outpost on the planet. In need of an income, he went to the Tide’s facility and enlisted.

All Dismal was told was to assist the Tide in destroying a group of Dark Jedi located in the Acarr System. His past life as a Jedi as well as his years of service to the Tide swelled his ego, and he attacked full throttle.

The battle was ruteless, with it appearing at one point that the Tide might actually win. Slowly, though, Dismal's squadron was destroyed until only he remained. Then, his own ship was hit, and he was forced to retreat out of harms way.

A good thing, too, since mere moments after doing so Dismal watched as the Dark Jedi trapped a large number of the Tide's forces into the system, and then he watched them die as the sun went supernova. What was left of the Tide jumped back to hyperspace, ending up on Mygeeto where they slowly started to lick their wounds.

It had never been discovered who exactly it was that hit Dismal's fighter, forcing him to leave the battle and thus survive, but there is strong evidence to suggest that [[Aabsdu]] was behind it, since it has been proven that he took down a number of Dismal's squadmates.

===Dark Jedi Brotherhood===
''25 ABY – 27 ABY''

In 25 ABY, Dismal was beginning to tire of numerous defeats and low-level jobs assigned to him by the Tide. He was one of few in history who resigned and escaped from the Crimson Tide alive.

One day whilst sitting in a cantina on Nar Shaada, Dismal was approached by a cloaked, shadowy figure. With the crime level on the planet so high, the retired assassin immediately put on his guard.

He was promised a powerful life in a [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood|Brotherhood of Dark Jedi]] if he would just follow him. Dismal, his life only consisting of one night stands and watered down drinks, followed eagerly.

The two flew to a backwater planet in the [[Antei system]] named [[Lyspair]], and Dismal was enrolled in the [[Shadow Academy]], where he was put through rigorous tests and exams. He passed every one with good marks, and was eventually assigned to [[House Exar Kun]] of [[Clan Plagueis]], where he met up with his brother Galaphile once again.

===Clan Plagueis===
''25 ABY – 27 ABY''

The newly promoted [[Apprentice]] was assigned to [[House Exar Kun]] of [[Clan Plagueis]] once he graduated from the Academy. The shuttle ride was long and dreary, as opposed to what the rest of his life would be. Upon arriving on [[Aerun]] in the [[Jusadih System]] with other eager graduates, Dismal was placed into the care of Jaysen Erdon, House Exar Kun’s Envoy at the time. The Apprentice was very eager and willing to learn the Dark Arts and Lore, visiting the Shadow Academy on numerous occasions to complete various exams, training with [[Jedi Hunter|Hunter]] Erdon, and meeting the House’s Summit in various meetings. Dismal rose through the lower echelon ranks in no time.

Upon reaching the rank of [[Protector]], Dismal was approached by [[Krath Archpriest]] [[Scorpius]]. The Archpriest said he saw great potential in the young man, and extended an offer for the Protector to become his student. Dismal was elated and eagerly accepted the offer. The pair worked tirelessly into the night, practicing things such as piloting, [[Sith Alchemy]], and lightsaber combat.

===Leadership===
''26 ABY – 27 ABY''

In a mere month, Dismal was promoted to [[Guardian]]. His brother, [[Galaphile]], was finding the job of a [[Battleteam Leader]] too stressful once the team [[Blades of Kun]] was closed, so he resigned from the post. Dismal, who had been Executive Officer of Blades of Kun, was ready to assume the role. He composed an application and sent it in for approval. In days, the Guardian was chosen.

Dismal was promoted to [[Jedi Hunter]] during his tenure of Sith Commander of [[Exar's Shadow]], and once stopped a conflict his team and opposing team [[Satal Victus]] from escalating into full out war. In a short period of time, the position of [[Aedile]] became open in [[House Exar Kun]]. Dismal, who had already proven his leadership capabilities, was chosen very soon.

During his [[Dark Jedi Knight|Knight]] trials, Dismal completed a number of difficult tasks. This list includes, but is not limited to: assassinating the Hutt crimelord Morga, investigating a shipwreck in the dangerous Decarian jungles, and killing rogue Jedi Knights which proved a threat to [[Clan Plagueis]]. The tasks, coupled with Shadow Academy exams and leadership, qualified Dismal for promotion to Dark Jedi Knight.

The Knight continued in his position as Aedile, however as time wore on, he, like his brother, found the stress too much. He resigned, and remembering the help Jaysen Erdon offered him, he wished to inherit the vacant title of Envoy.

And so he did. The Aedile emeritus was given the title of House Exar Kun’s Rollmaster and Envoy. Dismal was somewhat successful in this newfound position, giving the newer members of House Exar Kun the guidance they required. It was during this time that fellow [[Dupar]] and Consul [[Aabsdu]] saw that the Envoy had proven skill that outweighed his current rank of Knight. As such, he was given the rank of [[Sith Warrior]].

===Incursion===
''27 ABY''

Time went on, and the Brotherhood was in store for something monumental. Months earlier, the Brotherhood engaged in a series of war games entitled [[Second Darkness]], an internal competition amongst clans, giving the clans opportunities to prove themselves in combat. As the training ended, [[Grand Master]] [[Aristan Dantes|Sarin]] called an award ceremony on [[Antei]]. Every clan and the majority of its members and forces were to be there. Given the lack of security in the [[Jusadih System]] at the time of the ceremony, Aabsdu appointed none other than Dismal to stay on [[Aerun]], to supervise [[Diadem Fortress]].

An invasion was the last thing that the Warrior hoped for. Alas, Aerun and Diadem Fortress were under attack. The enemy was very foreign; their craft were organic and ''very''dangerous. Dismal and his former master, [[Scorpius]], helped to defend the Fortress until the last moment, when the great castle fell.

The pair escaped in a TIE Phantom which they miraculously found in one piece. Scorpius and Dismal planned to escape the turmoil in which Aerun was now engulfed in, and meet then Clan Envoy [[Acheron|Anochiir]] to fight against the invaders. Their idea would not grow to fruition, however, as soon a band of coral skippers engaged the lone fighter. The two Dark Jedi were no match for the Yuuzhan Vong, who greatly outnumbered them. They were quickly pulled into the Miid Ro’ik ''Merciless'', the flagship of the invading forces. The struggle that Dismal and his master put up turned out to be futile; they were soon beaten into submission. They were each taken to a separate detention block, and were placed in an alien device called the Embrace of Pain. Pure, 100%, mind-numbing pain was all the pair felt for three days.

Dismal feared death during his imprisonment in the Yuuzhan Vong ship. Fear like that hadn’t wormed into his heart since the [[Battle of Byfrost]]. However, in one shimmering moment of glory, his brother [[Galaphile]] had come to save him, along with adopted-brother [[Jaden Kyrath]] and Anochiir. Dismal and [[Scorpius]] were rushed to medical attention soon after rescue, where they would remain for the duration of the war.

====Aftermath====
''27 ABY''

The Yuuzhan Vong were ordered to retreat from [[Jusadih System|Jusadih]] by the Supreme Overlord for taking too much time. [[Clan Plagueis]] had left Antei, back to their home system where they could lick their wounds. [[House Exar Kun]] was relocated to [[Kapsina]], due to the loss of their planet. It was during this time that Consul Aabsdu bestowed upon Dismal the [[Sapphire Blade]] for bravery and courage in a time of war. Along with the sacrificial award, he was also appointed to Clan Envoy of Plagueis, to better serve the Clan.

===Rogue===
''27 ABY - 28 ABY''

After the Vong Invasion ended, Dismal served admirably as Knight Class Envoy of Clan Plagueis for a while, helping all of the new members get acquainted with the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood|Brotherhood]]. Once [[Jagan]] was promoted to [[Quaestor]] of House Exar Kun, the position of Aedile was open. After many private talks with Jagan, the Kyandrian was chosen as [[Aedile]] of his House once more. However, nothing good would come from Dismal's short tenure - a few days after being appointed to his new position, he snuck away from the Jusadih system and the Dark Brotherhood. No one knew for sure where Dismal went, but it was rumored that he went to Dantooine. Ultimately, he would return to the Brotherhood, as it was his home.

===Crimson Conclusion===
''28 ABY''

It was not long after Dismal got re-acquainted with the inner workings of [[Clan Plagueis]] and the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood]] when a team was being gathered to recapture Clan Envoy [[Callus Bo'Amar]], who had been kidnapped by the [[Crimson Tide]]. Eager to help destroy the pirate organization that he was once a part of, the [[Dupar]] contacted [[Alaris Jinn]] and was accepted into the team. They departed for the planet of Terifyn, a backwater world in the Mid-Rim. There, the Dark Jedi instantly made contact with the Tide; Dismal wasted no time, hacking violently at every pirate he saw. Moments later, the Plaguiean saw a presence he hadn't seen in a long while, nor had expected to see - that of [[Jonaleth Isradia]]. The [[Dark Side Adept|Dark Adept]] gave Alpha Team, commanded by Dismal, an extra boost of morale, which assisted them greatly in finishing the contingent of pirates whom they engaged.

Just as he thought he was ready to claim victory, [[Nemo Dupar]], Dismal's nemesis, stepped into view. [[Galaphile Dupar|Galaphile]] and Dismal began dueling the older man. It had been no sooner than ten minutes into the epic battle when Nemo's apprentice, [[Semyon Cain]], arrived to assist his master. Instantly, the two allies adopted an adversary: Galaphile claimed Nemo, while Dismal faced off against Semyon. Great barely described the duel of epic proportions; each had almost equal ability and the Force and prowess with a lightsaber. [[Semyon Cain|Cain]] managed to get a good hit in, which caused Dismal to fall to the ground. This did not phase the [[Sith Warrior]], as he kicked his opponent in the groin with enhanced strength when he was within range. Taking full advantage of the situation, he violently hacked and sliced at his opponent, literally butchering him into pieces. Galaphile had managed to incapacitate [[Nemo Dupar|Nemo]], and he remains a prisoner of [[Clan Plagueis]] even today.

Overall, the mission was a success, [[Callus Bo'Amar|Callus]] had been rescued, and three major leaders of the [[Crimson Tide|Tide]] were felled: [[Alonzo Bodelle]], [[Nemo Dupar]], and [[Semyon Cain]]. Every participant in the operation returned to [[Kapsina]] satisfied. Plagueis had been victorious.

===Clan Naga Sadow===
''29 ABY''

For a time, Dismal was comfortable and content to be in Plagueis, serving his Clan. Soon, however, he began to have conflict with the leadership. His apprentice, [[Laigerick Ryokou-Amor]], had applied for the open post of [[Aedile]] of [[House Exar Kun]], a position that Dismal himself had once held. Having spoken with Quaestor [[Godo Nurok]], both master and apprentice believed that Laigerick had the position. Both were shocked when it was announced that a Guardian of the clan, [[Ralph Vundu]], was elevated to the position. Outraged, Dismal spoke with Consul [[Braecen Kaeth]], who told him that he did not support the Quaestor's decision on the matter.

He soon conferred with [[Mitsuhide Akechi|Mitsuhide]], who had spoken with members of the summit as well, where it was revealed that Braecen had lied, as he had in fact supported Ralph in his plight for Aedile. Disgusted with the [[Clan Plagueis|Plagueis]] summit, Mitsuhide left Clan Plagueis. Dismal, however, was torn. He questioned his loyalty to his home clan, and seriously debated departing the Jusadih system. One day, upon waking up from a night's rest, the Warrior was approached by a physician employed by Clan Plagueis, where he was informed that Mitsuhide, his good friend, and [[Derev Niroth|Derev]] were his brothers, each separated at birth. With this new found information, the man's decision was sealed: he would go to [[Clan Naga Sadow]], where both of his brothers had already taken residence in. Also at odds with the leadership, Dismal's apprentice joined him.

Both had now pledged their fealty to [[House Marka Ragnos]], and each shared a bond unmatched by any other. Adding a portion to their birthnames, Dismal, Derev, Mitsuhide, Laigerick, and Kalei Basai became known as Ryokou-Amor, showing their dedication to each other. Now, Dismal still resides in Clan Naga Sadow, hoping to prosper and grow even more as a member of the Sith order.

Dismal Dupar is a [[Sith Warrior]] of the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood]]. He serves under the banner of [[House Marka Ragnos]] and [[Clan Naga Sadow]]. === Childhood ===

Dismal Ryokou was one of three children born to Michael and Cristina Ryokou on the Imperial planet of [[Sif]]. Both of Dismal’s parents were employed in the [[Emperor's Hammer|Emperor’s Hammer's]] corporate division. All of the Ryokou children lived what could be considered a ‘normal’ childhood in their parents’ loving care and watchful eye.

Soon it would come to attention Dismal’s Force-sensitivity. A Jedi Knight by the name of Susan Fortis was on a mission to the boy’s homeworld on the year 3 ABY, scouting for Force-sensitive children. Knowing the dangers of a Jedi on an Imperial aligned world, the woman came under the guise of a doctor, offering free blood tests to children four years and older. She arrived soon at the Ryokou household, and bearing a fake medical license and Force-aided trickery, Dismal’s parents gave their consent for him to be tested.

Very promptly, the results of Dismal’s blood test returned: he was indeed sensitive to the Force. The Jedi Knight snuck into his home the following night, snatching the boy from his bed. Susan knew what she was doing was wrong, but she also knew that it was for his own good. So, the Jedi left the planet with the child, where he would begin his training as a Jedi.

=== The Jedi Way ===
''3 ABY – 20 ABY''

Susan went straight to Dantooine, watching after Dismal as if he were her own son. He eventually grew out of boyhood, and continued his training throughout adolescence. In 15 ABY, Dismal had reached the peak of manhood, and was proving himself a capable Knight, already well into the construction of his first lightsaber.

However, one thing impeded the man. His emotions constantly got the best of him, and his actions for the most part seemed reckless and rather brash. Susan, now a Jedi Master, constantly warned him to keep his emotions in check, and think about things well before doing them, but this he could never quite do. He would always lash out with little provocation at the younger Jedi, and would hurt the local Padawans in lightsaber duels, using his strength to full advantage.

Dismal was also very fond of researching the dark arts. As time wore on, his interest grew and grew. By 18 ABY, he had begun to secretly practice techniques of the dark side. This finally came to the attention of the Jedi Council in 20 ABY, and Master Fortis was instructed to scold her apprentice, and then summon him to a hearing before the Council.

Somewhat reluctantly, Susan agreed, going to fetch Dismal. When she arrived at the man’s quarters, she began to do as instructed. It was then that the man revealed all that he had been doing, and his true dark intentions, and the errors he saw in the way the Jedi managed things. Fueling his actions with anger and hatred, Dismal drew his saber and slew Susan Fortis, who was by then well aged.

=== Crimson Tide ===

Dismal quickly fled the temple on Dantooine, stealing an X-Wing and traveling to Chandrila. There, he hoped to live in peace and continue to hone his skills on his own. He soon began to hear word of a pirating group called the Crimson Tide, which had an outpost on the planet. In need of an income, he went to the Tide’s facility and enlisted.

All Dismal was told was to assist the Tide in destroying a group of Dark Jedi located in the Acarr System. His past life as a Jedi as well as his years of service to the Tide swelled his ego, and he attacked full throttle.

The battle was ruteless, with it appearing at one point that the Tide might actually win. Slowly, though, Dismal's squadron was destroyed until only he remained. Then, his own ship was hit, and he was forced to retreat out of harms way.

A good thing, too, since mere moments after doing so Dismal watched as the Dark Jedi trapped a large number of the Tide's forces into the system, and then he watched them die as the sun went supernova. What was left of the Tide jumped back to hyperspace, ending up on Mygeeto where they slowly started to lick their wounds.

It had never been discovered who exactly it was that hit Dismal's fighter, forcing him to leave the battle and thus survive, but there is strong evidence to suggest that [[Aabsdu]] was behind it, since it has been proven that he took down a number of Dismal's squadmates.

===Dark Jedi Brotherhood===
''25 ABY – 27 ABY''

In 25 ABY, Dismal was beginning to tire of numerous defeats and low-level jobs assigned to him by the Tide. He was one of few in history who resigned and escaped from the Crimson Tide alive.

One day whilst sitting in a cantina on Nar Shaada, Dismal was approached by a cloaked, shadowy figure. With the crime level on the planet so high, the retired assassin immediately put on his guard.

He was promised a powerful life in a [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood|Brotherhood of Dark Jedi]] if he would just follow him. Dismal, his life only consisting of one night stands and watered down drinks, followed eagerly.

The two flew to a backwater planet in the [[Antei system]] named [[Lyspair]], and Dismal was enrolled in the [[Shadow Academy]], where he was put through rigorous tests and exams. He passed every one with good marks, and was eventually assigned to [[House Exar Kun]] of [[Clan Plagueis]], where he met up with his brother Galaphile once again.

===Clan Plagueis===
''25 ABY – 27 ABY''

The newly promoted [[Apprentice]] was assigned to [[House Exar Kun]] of [[Clan Plagueis]] once he graduated from the Academy. The shuttle ride was long and dreary, as opposed to what the rest of his life would be. Upon arriving on [[Aerun]] in the [[Jusadih System]] with other eager graduates, Dismal was placed into the care of Jaysen Erdon, House Exar Kun’s Envoy at the time. The Apprentice was very eager and willing to learn the Dark Arts and Lore, visiting the Shadow Academy on numerous occasions to complete various exams, training with [[Jedi Hunter|Hunter]] Erdon, and meeting the House’s Summit in various meetings. Dismal rose through the lower echelon ranks in no time.

Upon reaching the rank of [[Protector]], Dismal was approached by [[Krath Archpriest]] [[Scorpius]]. The Archpriest said he saw great potential in the young man, and extended an offer for the Protector to become his student. Dismal was elated and eagerly accepted the offer. The pair worked tirelessly into the night, practicing things such as piloting, [[Sith Alchemy]], and lightsaber combat.

===Leadership===
''26 ABY – 27 ABY''

In a mere month, Dismal was promoted to [[Guardian]]. His brother, [[Galaphile]], was finding the job of a [[Battleteam Leader]] too stressful once the team [[Blades of Kun]] was closed, so he resigned from the post. Dismal, who had been Executive Officer of Blades of Kun, was ready to assume the role. He composed an application and sent it in for approval. In days, the Guardian was chosen.

Dismal was promoted to [[Jedi Hunter]] during his tenure of Sith Commander of [[Exar's Shadow]], and once stopped a conflict his team and opposing team [[Satal Victus]] from escalating into full out war. In a short period of time, the position of [[Aedile]] became open in [[House Exar Kun]]. Dismal, who had already proven his leadership capabilities, was chosen very soon.

During his [[Dark Jedi Knight|Knight]] trials, Dismal completed a number of difficult tasks. This list includes, but is not limited to: assassinating the Hutt crimelord Morga, investigating a shipwreck in the dangerous Decarian jungles, and killing rogue Jedi Knights which proved a threat to [[Clan Plagueis]]. The tasks, coupled with Shadow Academy exams and leadership, qualified Dismal for promotion to Dark Jedi Knight.

The Knight continued in his position as Aedile, however as time wore on, he, like his brother, found the stress too much. He resigned, and remembering the help Jaysen Erdon offered him, he wished to inherit the vacant title of Envoy.

And so he did. The Aedile emeritus was given the title of House Exar Kun’s Rollmaster and Envoy. Dismal was somewhat successful in this newfound position, giving the newer members of House Exar Kun the guidance they required. It was during this time that fellow [[Dupar]] and Consul [[Aabsdu]] saw that the Envoy had proven skill that outweighed his current rank of Knight. As such, he was given the rank of [[Sith Warrior]].

===Incursion===
''27 ABY''

Time went on, and the Brotherhood was in store for something monumental. Months earlier, the Brotherhood engaged in a series of war games entitled [[Second Darkness]], an internal competition amongst clans, giving the clans opportunities to prove themselves in combat. As the training ended, [[Grand Master]] [[Aristan Dantes|Sarin]] called an award ceremony on [[Antei]]. Every clan and the majority of its members and forces were to be there. Given the lack of security in the [[Jusadih System]] at the time of the ceremony, Aabsdu appointed none other than Dismal to stay on [[Aerun]], to supervise [[Diadem Fortress]].

An invasion was the last thing that the Warrior hoped for. Alas, Aerun and Diadem Fortress were under attack. The enemy was very foreign; their craft were organic and ''very''dangerous. Dismal and his former master, [[Scorpius]], helped to defend the Fortress until the last moment, when the great castle fell.

The pair escaped in a TIE Phantom which they miraculously found in one piece. Scorpius and Dismal planned to escape the turmoil in which Aerun was now engulfed in, and meet then Clan Envoy [[Acheron|Anochiir]] to fight against the invaders. Their idea would not grow to fruition, however, as soon a band of coral skippers engaged the lone fighter. The two Dark Jedi were no match for the Yuuzhan Vong, who greatly outnumbered them. They were quickly pulled into the Miid Ro’ik ''Merciless'', the flagship of the invading forces. The struggle that Dismal and his master put up turned out to be futile; they were soon beaten into submission. They were each taken to a separate detention block, and were placed in an alien device called the Embrace of Pain. Pure, 100%, mind-numbing pain was all the pair felt for three days.

Dismal feared death during his imprisonment in the Yuuzhan Vong ship. Fear like that hadn’t wormed into his heart since the [[Battle of Byfrost]]. However, in one shimmering moment of glory, his brother [[Galaphile]] had come to save him, along with adopted-brother [[Jaden Kyrath]] and Anochiir. Dismal and [[Scorpius]] were rushed to medical attention soon after rescue, where they would remain for the duration of the war.

====Aftermath====
''27 ABY''

The Yuuzhan Vong were ordered to retreat from [[Jusadih System|Jusadih]] by the Supreme Overlord for taking too much time. [[Clan Plagueis]] had left Antei, back to their home system where they could lick their wounds. [[House Exar Kun]] was relocated to [[Kapsina]], due to the loss of their planet. It was during this time that Consul Aabsdu bestowed upon Dismal the [[Sapphire Blade]] for bravery and courage in a time of war. Along with the sacrificial award, he was also appointed to Clan Envoy of Plagueis, to better serve the Clan.

===Rogue===
''27 ABY - 28 ABY''

After the Vong Invasion ended, Dismal served admirably as Knight Class Envoy of Clan Plagueis for a while, helping all of the new members get acquainted with the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood|Brotherhood]]. Once [[Jagan]] was promoted to [[Quaestor]] of House Exar Kun, the position of Aedile was open. After many private talks with Jagan, the Kyandrian was chosen as [[Aedile]] of his House once more. However, nothing good would come from Dismal's short tenure - a few days after being appointed to his new position, he snuck away from the Jusadih system and the Dark Brotherhood. No one knew for sure where Dismal went, but it was rumored that he went to Dantooine. Ultimately, he would return to the Brotherhood, as it was his home.

===Crimson Conclusion===
''28 ABY''

It was not long after Dismal got re-acquainted with the inner workings of [[Clan Plagueis]] and the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood]] when a team was being gathered to recapture Clan Envoy [[Callus Bo'Amar]], who had been kidnapped by the [[Crimson Tide]]. Eager to help destroy the pirate organization that he was once a part of, the [[Dupar]] contacted [[Alaris Jinn]] and was accepted into the team. They departed for the planet of Terifyn, a backwater world in the Mid-Rim. There, the Dark Jedi instantly made contact with the Tide; Dismal wasted no time, hacking violently at every pirate he saw. Moments later, the Plaguiean saw a presence he hadn't seen in a long while, nor had expected to see - that of [[Jonaleth Isradia]]. The [[Dark Side Adept|Dark Adept]] gave Alpha Team, commanded by Dismal, an extra boost of morale, which assisted them greatly in finishing the contingent of pirates whom they engaged.

Just as he thought he was ready to claim victory, [[Nemo Dupar]], Dismal's nemesis, stepped into view. [[Galaphile Dupar|Galaphile]] and Dismal began dueling the older man. It had been no sooner than ten minutes into the epic battle when Nemo's apprentice, [[Semyon Cain]], arrived to assist his master. Instantly, the two allies adopted an adversary: Galaphile claimed Nemo, while Dismal faced off against Semyon. Great barely described the duel of epic proportions; each had almost equal ability and the Force and prowess with a lightsaber. [[Semyon Cain|Cain]] managed to get a good hit in, which caused Dismal to fall to the ground. This did not phase the [[Sith Warrior]], as he kicked his opponent in the groin with enhanced strength when he was within range. Taking full advantage of the situation, he violently hacked and sliced at his opponent, literally butchering him into pieces. Galaphile had managed to incapacitate [[Nemo Dupar|Nemo]], and he remains a prisoner of [[Clan Plagueis]] even today.

Overall, the mission was a success, [[Callus Bo'Amar|Callus]] had been rescued, and three major leaders of the [[Crimson Tide|Tide]] were felled: [[Alonzo Bodelle]], [[Nemo Dupar]], and [[Semyon Cain]]. Every participant in the operation returned to [[Kapsina]] satisfied. Plagueis had been victorious.

===Clan Naga Sadow===
''29 ABY''

For a time, Dismal was comfortable and content to be in Plagueis, serving his Clan. Soon, however, he began to have conflict with the leadership. His apprentice, [[Laigerick Ryokou-Amor]], had applied for the open post of [[Aedile]] of [[House Exar Kun]], a position that Dismal himself had once held. Having spoken with Quaestor [[Godo Nurok]], both master and apprentice believed that Laigerick had the position. Both were shocked when it was announced that a Guardian of the clan, [[Ralph Vundu]], was elevated to the position. Outraged, Dismal spoke with Consul [[Braecen Kaeth]], who told him that he did not support the Quaestor's decision on the matter.

He soon conferred with [[Mitsuhide Akechi|Mitsuhide]], who had spoken with members of the summit as well, where it was revealed that Braecen had lied, as he had in fact supported Ralph in his plight for Aedile. Disgusted with the [[Clan Plagueis|Plagueis]] summit, Mitsuhide left Clan Plagueis. Dismal, however, was torn. He questioned his loyalty to his home clan, and seriously debated departing the Jusadih system. One day, upon waking up from a night's rest, the Warrior was approached by a physician employed by Clan Plagueis, where he was informed that Mitsuhide, his good friend, and [[Derev Niroth|Derev]] were his brothers, each separated at birth. With this new found information, the man's decision was sealed: he would go to [[Clan Naga Sadow]], where both of his brothers had already taken residence in. Also at odds with the leadership, Dismal's apprentice joined him.

Both had now pledged their fealty to [[House Marka Ragnos]], and each shared a bond unmatched by any other. Adding a portion to their birthnames, Dismal, Derev, Mitsuhide, Laigerick, and Kalei Basai became known as Ryokou-Amor, showing their dedication to each other. Now, Dismal still resides in Clan Naga Sadow, hoping to prosper and grow even more as a member of the Sith order.

This finally came to the attention of the Jedi Council in 20 ABY, and Master Fortis was instructed to scold her apprentice, and then summon him to a hearing before the Council.

Somewhat reluctantly, Susan agreed, going to fetch Dismal. When she arrived at the man’s quarters, she began to do as instructed. It was then that the man revealed all that he had been doing, and his true dark intentions, and the errors he saw in the way the Jedi managed things. Fueling his actions with anger and hatred, Dismal drew his saber and slew Susan Fortis, who was by then well aged.

He soon began to hear word of a pirating group called the Crimson Tide, which had an outpost on the planet. In need of an income, he went to the Tide’s facility and enlisted.

All Dismal was told was to assist the Tide in destroying a group of Dark Jedi located in the Acarr System. His past life as a Jedi as well as his years of service to the Tide swelled his ego, and he attacked full throttle.

The battle was ruteless, with it appearing at one point that the Tide might actually win. Slowly, though, Dismal's squadron was destroyed until only he remained. Then, his own ship was hit, and he was forced to retreat out of harms way.

A good thing, too, since mere moments after doing so Dismal watched as the Dark Jedi trapped a large number of the Tide's forces into the system, and then he watched them die as the sun went supernova. What was left of the Tide jumped back to hyperspace, ending up on Mygeeto where they slowly started to lick their wounds.

It had never been discovered who exactly it was that hit Dismal's fighter, forcing him to leave the battle and thus survive, but there is strong evidence to suggest that [[Aabsdu]] was behind it, since it has been proven that he took down a number of Dismal's squadmates.

In 25 ABY, Dismal was beginning to tire of numerous defeats and low-level jobs assigned to him by the Tide. He was one of few in history who resigned and escaped from the Crimson Tide alive.

One day whilst sitting in a cantina on Nar Shaada, Dismal was approached by a cloaked, shadowy figure. With the crime level on the planet so high, the retired assassin immediately put on his guard.

He was promised a powerful life in a [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood|Brotherhood of Dark Jedi]] if he would just follow him. Dismal, his life only consisting of one night stands and watered down drinks, followed eagerly.

The two flew to a backwater planet in the [[Antei system]] named [[Lyspair]], and Dismal was enrolled in the [[Shadow Academy]], where he was put through rigorous tests and exams. He passed every one with good marks, and was eventually assigned to [[House Exar Kun]] of [[Clan Plagueis]], where he met up with his brother Galaphile once again.

The newly promoted [[Apprentice]] was assigned to [[House Exar Kun]] of [[Clan Plagueis]] once he graduated from the Academy. The shuttle ride was long and dreary, as opposed to what the rest of his life would be. Upon arriving on [[Aerun]] in the [[Jusadih System]] with other eager graduates, Dismal was placed into the care of Jaysen Erdon, House Exar Kun’s Envoy at the time. The Apprentice was very eager and willing to learn the Dark Arts and Lore, visiting the Shadow Academy on numerous occasions to complete various exams, training with [[Jedi Hunter|Hunter]] Erdon, and meeting the House’s Summit in various meetings. Dismal rose through the lower echelon ranks in no time.

Upon reaching the rank of [[Protector]], Dismal was approached by [[Krath Archpriest]] [[Scorpius]]. The Archpriest said he saw great potential in the young man, and extended an offer for the Protector to become his student. Dismal was elated and eagerly accepted the offer. The pair worked tirelessly into the night, practicing things such as piloting, [[Sith Alchemy]], and lightsaber combat.

In a mere month, Dismal was promoted to [[Guardian]]. His brother, [[Galaphile]], was finding the job of a [[Battleteam Leader]] too stressful once the team [[Blades of Kun]] was closed, so he resigned from the post. Dismal, who had been Executive Officer of Blades of Kun, was ready to assume the role. He composed an application and sent it in for approval. In days, the Guardian was chosen.

Dismal was promoted to [[Jedi Hunter]] during his tenure of Sith Commander of [[Exar's Shadow]], and once stopped a conflict his team and opposing team [[Satal Victus]] from escalating into full out war. In a short period of time, the position of [[Aedile]] became open in [[House Exar Kun]]. Dismal, who had already proven his leadership capabilities, was chosen very soon.

During his [[Dark Jedi Knight|Knight]] trials, Dismal completed a number of difficult tasks. This list includes, but is not limited to: assassinating the Hutt crimelord Morga, investigating a shipwreck in the dangerous Decarian jungles, and killing rogue Jedi Knights which proved a threat to [[Clan Plagueis]]. The tasks, coupled with Shadow Academy exams and leadership, qualified Dismal for promotion to Dark Jedi Knight.

The Knight continued in his position as Aedile, however as time wore on, he, like his brother, found the stress too much. He resigned, and remembering the help Jaysen Erdon offered him, he wished to inherit the vacant title of Envoy.

And so he did. The Aedile emeritus was given the title of House Exar Kun’s Rollmaster and Envoy. Dismal was somewhat successful in this newfound position, giving the newer members of House Exar Kun the guidance they required. It was during this time that fellow [[Dupar]] and Consul [[Aabsdu]] saw that the Envoy had proven skill that outweighed his current rank of Knight. As such, he was given the rank of [[Sith Warrior]].

===Incursion===

Time went on, and the Brotherhood was in store for something monumental. Months earlier, the Brotherhood engaged in a series of war games entitled [[Second Darkness]], an internal competition amongst clans, giving the clans opportunities to prove themselves in combat. As the training ended, [[Grand Master]] [[Aristan Dantes|Sarin]] called an award ceremony on [[Antei]]. Every clan and the majority of its members and forces were to be there. Given the lack of security in the [[Jusadih System]] at the time of the ceremony, Aabsdu appointed none other than Dismal to stay on [[Aerun]], to supervise [[Diadem Fortress]].

An invasion was the last thing that the Warrior hoped for. Alas, Aerun and Diadem Fortress were under attack. The enemy was very foreign; their craft were organic and ''very''dangerous. Dismal and his former master, [[Scorpius]], helped to defend the Fortress until the last moment, when the great castle fell.

The pair escaped in a TIE Phantom which they miraculously found in one piece. Scorpius and Dismal planned to escape the turmoil in which Aerun was now engulfed in, and meet then Clan Envoy [[Acheron|Anochiir]] to fight against the invaders. Their idea would not grow to fruition, however, as soon a band of coral skippers engaged the lone fighter. The two Dark Jedi were no match for the Yuuzhan Vong, who greatly outnumbered them. They were quickly pulled into the Miid Ro’ik ''Merciless'', the flagship of the invading forces. The struggle that Dismal and his master put up turned out to be futile; they were soon beaten into submission. They were each taken to a separate detention block, and were placed in an alien device called the Embrace of Pain. Pure, 100%, mind-numbing pain was all the pair felt for three days.

Dismal feared death during his imprisonment in the Yuuzhan Vong ship. Fear like that hadn’t wormed into his heart since the [[Battle of Byfrost]]. However, in one shimmering moment of glory, his brother [[Galaphile]] had come to save him, along with adopted-brother [[Jaden Kyrath]] and Anochiir. Dismal and [[Scorpius]] were rushed to medical attention soon after rescue, where they would remain for the duration of the war.

The Yuuzhan Vong were ordered to retreat from [[Jusadih System|Jusadih]] by the Supreme Overlord for taking too much time. [[Clan Plagueis]] had left Antei, back to their home system where they could lick their wounds. [[House Exar Kun]] was relocated to [[Kapsina]], due to the loss of their planet. It was during this time that Consul Aabsdu bestowed upon Dismal the [[Sapphire Blade]] for bravery and courage in a time of war. Along with the sacrificial award, he was also appointed to Clan Envoy of Plagueis, to better serve the Clan.

===Rogue===

After the Vong Invasion ended, Dismal served admirably as Knight Class Envoy of Clan Plagueis for a while, helping all of the new members get acquainted with the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood|Brotherhood]]. Once [[Jagan]] was promoted to [[Quaestor]] of House Exar Kun, the position of Aedile was open. After many private talks with Jagan, the Kyandrian was chosen as [[Aedile]] of his House once more. However, nothing good would come from Dismal's short tenure - a few days after being appointed to his new position, he snuck away from the Jusadih system and the Dark Brotherhood. No one knew for sure where Dismal went, but it was rumored that he went to Dantooine. Ultimately, he would return to the Brotherhood, as it was his home.

===Crimson Conclusion===

It was not long after Dismal got re-acquainted with the inner workings of [[Clan Plagueis]] and the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood]] when a team was being gathered to recapture Clan Envoy [[Callus Bo'Amar]], who had been kidnapped by the [[Crimson Tide]]. Eager to help destroy the pirate organization that he was once a part of, the [[Dupar]] contacted [[Alaris Jinn]] and was accepted into the team. They departed for the planet of Terifyn, a backwater world in the Mid-Rim. There, the Dark Jedi instantly made contact with the Tide; Dismal wasted no time, hacking violently at every pirate he saw. Moments later, the Plaguiean saw a presence he hadn't seen in a long while, nor had expected to see - that of [[Jonaleth Isradia]]. The [[Dark Side Adept|Dark Adept]] gave Alpha Team, commanded by Dismal, an extra boost of morale, which assisted them greatly in finishing the contingent of pirates whom they engaged.

Just as he thought he was ready to claim victory, [[Nemo Dupar]], Dismal's nemesis, stepped into view. [[Galaphile Dupar|Galaphile]] and Dismal began dueling the older man. It had been no sooner than ten minutes into the epic battle when Nemo's apprentice, [[Semyon Cain]], arrived to assist his master. Instantly, the two allies adopted an adversary: Galaphile claimed Nemo, while Dismal faced off against Semyon. Great barely described the duel of epic proportions; each had almost equal ability and the Force and prowess with a lightsaber. [[Semyon Cain|Cain]] managed to get a good hit in, which caused Dismal to fall to the ground. This did not phase the [[Sith Warrior]], as he kicked his opponent in the groin with enhanced strength when he was within range. Taking full advantage of the situation, he violently hacked and sliced at his opponent, literally butchering him into pieces. Galaphile had managed to incapacitate [[Nemo Dupar|Nemo]], and he remains a prisoner of [[Clan Plagueis]] even today.

Overall, the mission was a success, [[Callus Bo'Amar|Callus]] had been rescued, and three major leaders of the [[Crimson Tide|Tide]] were felled: [[Alonzo Bodelle]], [[Nemo Dupar]], and [[Semyon Cain]]. Every participant in the operation returned to [[Kapsina]] satisfied. Plagueis had been victorious.

===Clan Naga Sadow===

For a time, Dismal was comfortable and content to be in Plagueis, serving his Clan. Soon, however, he began to have conflict with the leadership. His apprentice, [[Laigerick Ryokou-Amor]], had applied for the open post of [[Aedile]] of [[House Exar Kun]], a position that Dismal himself had once held. Having spoken with Quaestor [[Godo Nurok]], both master and apprentice believed that Laigerick had the position. Both were shocked when it was announced that a Guardian of the clan, [[Ralph Vundu]], was elevated to the position. Outraged, Dismal spoke with Consul [[Braecen Kaeth]], who told him that he did not support the Quaestor's decision on the matter.

He soon conferred with [[Mitsuhide Akechi|Mitsuhide]], who had spoken with members of the summit as well, where it was revealed that Braecen had lied, as he had in fact supported Ralph in his plight for Aedile. Disgusted with the [[Clan Plagueis|Plagueis]] summit, Mitsuhide left Clan Plagueis. Dismal, however, was torn. He questioned his loyalty to his home clan, and seriously debated departing the Jusadih system. One day, upon waking up from a night's rest, the Warrior was approached by a physician employed by Clan Plagueis, where he was informed that Mitsuhide, his good friend, and [[Derev Niroth|Derev]] were his brothers, each separated at birth. With this new found information, the man's decision was sealed: he would go to [[Clan Naga Sadow]], where both of his brothers had already taken residence in. Also at odds with the leadership, Dismal's apprentice joined him.

Both had now pledged their fealty to [[House Marka Ragnos]], and each shared a bond unmatched by any other. Adding a portion to their birthnames, Dismal, Derev, Mitsuhide, Laigerick, and Kalei Basai became known as Ryokou-Amor, showing their dedication to each other. Now, Dismal still resides in Clan Naga Sadow, hoping to prosper and grow even more as a member of the Sith order.

Dismal Ryokou was one of three children born to Michael and Cristina Ryokou on the Imperial planet of [[Sif]]. Both of Dismal’s parents were employed in the [[Emperor's Hammer|Emperor’s Hammer's]] corporate division. All of the Ryokou children lived what could be considered a ‘normal’ childhood in their parents’ loving care and watchful eye.

Soon it would come to attention Dismal’s Force-sensitivity. A Jedi Knight by the name of Susan Fortis was on a mission to the boy’s homeworld on the year 3 ABY, scouting for Force-sensitive children. Knowing the dangers of a Jedi on an Imperial aligned world, the woman came under the guise of a doctor, offering free blood tests to children four years and older. She arrived soon at the Ryokou household, and bearing a fake medical license and Force-aided trickery, Dismal’s parents gave their consent for him to be tested.

Very promptly, the results of Dismal’s blood test returned: he was indeed sensitive to the Force. The Jedi Knight snuck into his home the following night, snatching the boy from his bed. Susan knew what she was doing was wrong, but she also knew that it was for his own good. So, the Jedi left the planet with the child, where he would begin his training as a Jedi.

Susan went straight to Dantooine, watching after Dismal as if he were her own son. He eventually grew out of boyhood, and continued his training throughout adolescence. In 15 ABY, Dismal had reached the peak of manhood, and was proving himself a capable Knight, already well into the construction of his first lightsaber.

However, one thing impeded the man. His emotions constantly got the best of him, and his actions for the most part seemed reckless and rather brash. Susan, now a Jedi Master, constantly warned him to keep his emotions in check, and think about things well before doing them, but this he could never quite do. He would always lash out with little provocation at the younger Jedi, and would hurt the local Padawans in lightsaber duels, using his strength to full advantage.

Dismal was also very fond of researching the dark arts. As time wore on, his interest grew and grew. By 18 ABY, he had begun to secretly practice techniques of the dark side. Dismal, who had been Executive Officer of Blades of Kun, was ready to assume the role. He composed an application and sent it in for approval. In days, the Guardian was chosen.

Dismal was promoted to [[Jedi Hunter]] during his tenure of Sith Commander of [[Exar's Shadow]], and once stopped a conflict his team and opposing team [[Satal Victus]] from escalating into full out war. In a short period of time, the position of [[Aedile]] became open in [[House Exar Kun]]. Dismal, who had already proven his leadership capabilities, was chosen very soon.

During his [[Dark Jedi Knight|Knight]] trials, Dismal completed a number of difficult tasks. This list includes, but is not limited to: assassinating the Hutt crimelord Morga, investigating a shipwreck in the dangerous Decarian jungles, and killing rogue Jedi Knights which proved a threat to [[Clan Plagueis]]. The tasks, coupled with Shadow Academy exams and leadership, qualified Dismal for promotion to Dark Jedi Knight.

The Knight continued in his position as Aedile, however as time wore on, he, like his brother, found the stress too much. He resigned, and remembering the help Jaysen Erdon offered him, he wished to inherit the vacant title of Envoy.

And so he did. The Aedile emeritus was given the title of House Exar Kun’s Rollmaster and Envoy. Dismal was somewhat successful in this newfound position, giving the newer members of House Exar Kun the guidance they required. It was during this time that fellow [[Dupar]] and Consul [[Aabsdu]] saw that the Envoy had proven skill that outweighed his current rank of Knight. As such, he was given the rank of [[Sith Warrior]].

Time went on, and the Brotherhood was in store for something monumental. Months earlier, the Brotherhood engaged in a series of war games entitled [[Second Darkness]], an internal competition amongst clans, giving the clans opportunities to prove themselves in combat. As the training ended, [[Grand Master]] [[Aristan Dantes|Sarin]] called an award ceremony on [[Antei]]. Every clan and the majority of its members and forces were to be there. Given the lack of security in the [[Jusadih System]] at the time of the ceremony, Aabsdu appointed none other than Dismal to stay on [[Aerun]], to supervise [[Diadem Fortress]].

An invasion was the last thing that the Warrior hoped for. Alas, Aerun and Diadem Fortress were under attack. The enemy was very foreign; their craft were organic and ''very''dangerous. Dismal and his former master, [[Scorpius]], helped to defend the Fortress until the last moment, when the great castle fell.

The pair escaped in a TIE Phantom which they miraculously found in one piece. Scorpius and Dismal planned to escape the turmoil in which Aerun was now engulfed in, and meet then Clan Envoy [[Acheron|Anochiir]] to fight against the invaders. Their idea would not grow to fruition, however, as soon a band of coral skippers engaged the lone fighter. The two Dark Jedi were no match for the Yuuzhan Vong, who greatly outnumbered them. They were quickly pulled into the Miid Ro’ik ''Merciless'', the flagship of the invading forces. The struggle that Dismal and his master put up turned out to be futile; they were soon beaten into submission. They were each taken to a separate detention block, and were placed in an alien device called the Embrace of Pain. Pure, 100%, mind-numbing pain was all the pair felt for three days.

Dismal feared death during his imprisonment in the Yuuzhan Vong ship. Fear like that hadn’t wormed into his heart since the [[Battle of Byfrost]]. However, in one shimmering moment of glory, his brother [[Galaphile]] had come to save him, along with adopted-brother [[Jaden Kyrath]] and Anochiir. Dismal and [[Scorpius]] were rushed to medical attention soon after rescue, where they would remain for the duration of the war.

The Yuuzhan Vong were ordered to retreat from [[Jusadih System|Jusadih]] by the Supreme Overlord for taking too much time. [[Clan Plagueis]] had left Antei, back to their home system where they could lick their wounds. [[House Exar Kun]] was relocated to [[Kapsina]], due to the loss of their planet. It was during this time that Consul Aabsdu bestowed upon Dismal the [[Sapphire Blade]] for bravery and courage in a time of war. Along with the sacrificial award, he was also appointed to Clan Envoy of Plagueis, to better serve the Clan.

After the Vong Invasion ended, Dismal served admirably as Knight Class Envoy of Clan Plagueis for a while, helping all of the new members get acquainted with the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood|Brotherhood]]. Once [[Jagan]] was promoted to [[Quaestor]] of House Exar Kun, the position of Aedile was open. After many private talks with Jagan, the Kyandrian was chosen as [[Aedile]] of his House once more. However, nothing good would come from Dismal's short tenure - a few days after being appointed to his new position, he snuck away from the Jusadih system and the Dark Brotherhood. No one knew for sure where Dismal went, but it was rumored that he went to Dantooine. Ultimately, he would return to the Brotherhood, as it was his home.

Nearly right after the [[Dupar]] returned to [[Clan Plagueis]] and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, a messenger from Kyandria caught up with him. He carried with him a note from Laela Orus, a former girlfriend of Dismal's. It turned out that she had gotten pregnant while he was on Dantooine, and that he was the father. Excited, the [[Sith Warrior]] rushed back to his home planet to see his daughter, [[Lola Dupar|Lola]]. The pair of newly discovered parents were quick to enter wedlock, where Lola and Laela would forever enter the Dupar lineage. Dismal does not get to see his family often, but does manage to find a way to visit them once or twice a year.

It was not long after Dismal got re-acquainted with the inner workings of [[Clan Plagueis]] and the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood]] when a team was being gathered to recapture Clan Envoy [[Callus Bo'Amar]], who had been kidnapped by the [[Crimson Tide]]. Eager to help destroy the pirate organization that he was once a part of, the [[Dupar]] contacted [[Alaris Jinn]] and was accepted into the team. They departed for the planet of Terifyn, a backwater world in the Mid-Rim. There, the Dark Jedi instantly made contact with the Tide; Dismal wasted no time, hacking violently at every pirate he saw. Moments later, the Plaguiean saw a presence he hadn't seen in a long while, nor had expected to see - that of [[Jonaleth Isradia]]. The [[Dark Side Adept|Dark Adept]] gave Alpha Team, commanded by Dismal, an extra boost of morale, which assisted them greatly in finishing the contingent of pirates whom they engaged.

Just as he thought he was ready to claim victory, [[Nemo Dupar]], Dismal's cousin, stepped into view. [[Galaphile Dupar|Galaphile]] and Dismal began dueling the older man. It had been no sooner than ten minutes into the epic battle when Nemo's apprentice, [[Semyon Cain]], arrived to assist his master. Instantly, the two brother's adopted an adversary: Galaphile claimed Nemo, while Dismal faced off against Semyon. Great barely described the duel of epic proportions; each had almost equal ability and the Force and prowess with a lightsaber. [[Semyon Cain|Cain]] managed to get a good hit in, which caused Dismal to fall to the ground. This did not phase the [[Sith Warrior]], as he kicked his opponent in the groin with enhanced strength when he was within range. Taking full advantage of the situation, he violently hacked and sliced at his opponent, literally butchering him into pieces. Galaphile had managed to incapacitate [[Nemo Dupar|Nemo]], and he remains a prisoner of [[Clan Plagueis]] even today.

Overall, the mission was a success, [[Callus Bo'Amar|Callus]] had been rescued, and three major leaders of the [[Crimson Tide|Tide]] were felled: [[Alonzo Bodelle]], [[Nemo Dupar]], and [[Semyon Cain]]. Every participant in the operation returned to [[Kapsina]] satisfied. Plagueis had been victorious.

Dismal Dupar was born to Ullus and Nene Dupar on the planet Kyandria in [[24 BBY to 1 BBY|3 BBY]]. He had three siblings: Gaidal, Galaphile, and Kai Dupar. The four [[Dupar]] children were born during a conflict which came to be known as the Seventh Clan War, where the reigning Chancellor was attempting to seize complete control of the planet.

Ullus and Nene were not exactly rich, so they could not afford to leave their small agricultural estate in Kalessa (an important spaceport city in the Tenkai region of Kyandria), where the war struck most. Ullus was a bureaucrat who did the dull and tedious job of distributing spaceport visas and corresponding documents, while Nene stayed at home to watch her children and oversee the farm. The small couple feared the fate of Kalessa, especially with four small children running around. Over time, though, the children started to take an interest in warfare, Dismal personally taking a keen interest to startfighters and space combat, which worried his parents.

===A Schoolboy===

''2 ABY – 8 ABY''

At the age of seven, Dismal began attending school at the Kalessa Academy for Boys. The young male immediately sparked an interest in spacecraft, studying much harder for his technology and fighter courses, which he passed with flying colors. His favorite teacher, Professor Cyrus Forrto, told Dismal in 6 ABY that he could see the child becoming a prominent student at the Kyandrian University of Spacecraft and Aeronautics. This would become the boy’s dream, along with creating new fighter designs for the Empire. Dismal studied long and hard for the next two years, passing all of his exams with ease.

===The Jedi Ways===

''8 ABY – 20 ABY''

In the year 8 ABY, Jedi Master Jomar Vacul, son of Spiro Vacul (who had trained Dismal’s uncle Darius), came to Kyandria to fetch the three boys after a series of particular incidents involving weird happenings. Gaidal had fought with his sister Kai on a day when she was feeling well over a piece of bread only one month before. He got so angry with his sibling that he pushed her an entire meter without even touching her. A few days after that, Dismal was playing a game of memory with his brother Galaphile, and he predicted what half of the cards were before seeing them. Galaphile was sparring with another boy during recess a day at the academy with whittled wooden sticks, and he managed to disarm the young boy on the ground in a matter of minutes as he claimed to have seen the boy’s moves seconds before they happened.

Master Vacul sensed the boys' force presence, and came to the planet to fetch them. Normally, Nene and Ullus would have objected, but they both saw it as a way to free their children from the turmoil that engulfed Kyandria. Despite the fact that the war was over and the chancellor had been killed, the economy had been decimated, and most everyone lived in poverty. The three boys left with Jomar and started their training as Jedi.

The group traveled to the planet of Dantooine, where they trained long and hard for several years. By 14 ABY, they reached the peak of manhood and were proving capable Jedi Knights, already building their first lightsabers. However, their emotions often got in the way of their training. Master Vacul was constantly warning the brothers to keep them in check, something Dismal was able to do for the most part, although his brother Gaidal wasn't as successful at.

At first Dismal tried to warn his brother about the temptations of the dark side, but over time he himself started to take interest in them more and more. As he watched Gaidal practice the forms and powers, he found them much more powerful, as well as out right cooler. His other brother Galaphile thought the same, and by 18 ABY all three boys were secretly practicing the ways of the dark arts.

In 20 ABY, it came to the Jedi Council that the three boys were following a dangerous path, Jomar was instructed to scold his former apprentices. As he did what he was told, the Knights quickly informed him of their true intentions, and all the flaws of the Jedi Order and the evil scheme of the Council. They quickly ignited their lightsabers and slew Jomar, who despite his power was no match for three men training in the dark arts.

The brothers each fled from the temple, escaping to a spaceport where they each went their separate ways. Not knowing where his other siblings would go, or if he would ever see them again, Dismal stole an X-Wing starfighter and traveled to Chandrila. Remembering stories of his uncle Darius and grandfather Ajax being involved with a group of assassins called the [[Crimson Tide]], he tracked them down and joined their ranks.

Dismal trained for a month, and was finally given full membership within the Tide. He proved to be an excellent mercenary, and was promoted to a commanding officer position within a year, and was assigned the Lightning Squadron of Z-95 Headhunters as his team. Eventually, in 24 ABY, the Tide finally went to war.

===[[Battle of Byfrost]]===

''24 ABY''

All Dismal was told was to assist the Tide in destroying a group of Dark Jedi located in the Acarr System. His past life as a Jedi as well as his years of service to the Tide swelled his ego, and he attacked full throttle.

The battle was ruteless, with it appearing at one point that the Tide might actually win. Slowly, though, Dismal's squadron was destroyed until only he remained. Then, his own ship was hit, and he was forced to retreat out of harms way.

A good thing, too, since mere moments after doing so Dismal watched as the Dark Jedi trapped a large number of the Tide's forces into the system, and then he watched them die as the sun went supernova. What was left of the Tide jumped back to hyperspace, ending up on Mygeeto where they slowly started to lick their wounds.

It had never been discovered who exactly it was that hit Dismal's fighter, forcing him to leave the battle and thus survive, but there is strong evidence to suggest that [[Aabsdu]] was behind it, since it has been proven that he took down a number of Dismal's squadmates.

===Dark Jedi Brotherhood===

''25 ABY – 27 ABY''

In 25 ABY, Dismal was beginning to tire of numerous defeats and low-level jobs assigned to him by the Tide. He was one of few in history who resigned and escaped from the Crimson Tide alive.

One day whilst sitting in a cantina on Nar Shaada, Dismal was approached by a cloaked, shadowy figure. With the crime level on the planet so high, the retired assassin immediately put on his guard.

He was promised a powerful life in a [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood|Brotherhood of Dark Jedi]] if he would just follow him. Dismal, his life only consisting of one night stands and watered down drinks, followed eagerly.

The two flew to a backwater planet in the [[Antei system]] named [[Lyspair]], and Dismal was enrolled in the [[Shadow Academy]], where he was put through rigorous tests and exams. He passed every one with good marks, and was eventually assigned to [[House Exar Kun]] of [[Clan Plagueis]], where he met up with his brother Galaphile once again.

The shuttle ride was long and dreary, as opposed to what the rest of his life would be. Upon arriving on [[Aerun]] in the [[Jusadih System]] with other eager graduates, Dismal was placed into the care of Jaysen Erdon, House Exar Kun’s Envoy at the time. The Apprentice was very eager and willing to learn the Dark Arts and Lore, visiting the Shadow Academy on numerous occasions to complete various exams, training with [[Jedi Hunter|Hunter]] Erdon, and meeting the House’s Summit in various meetings. Dismal rose through the lower echelon ranks in no time.

Upon reaching the rank of [[Protector]], Dismal was approached by [[Krath Archpriest]] [[Scorpius]]. The Archpriest said he saw great potential in the young man, and extended an offer for the Protector to become his student. Dismal was elated and eagerly accepted the offer. The pair worked tirelessly into the night, practicing things such as piloting, [[Sith Alchemy]], and lightsaber combat.

It was not long after Dismal got re-acquainted with the inner workings of [[Clan Plagueis]] and the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood]] when a team was being gathered to recapture Clan Envoy [[Callus Bo'Amar]], who had been kidnapped by the [[Crimson Tide]]. Eager to help destroy the pirate organization that he was once a part of, the [[Dupar]] contacted [[Alaris Jinn]] and was accepted into the team. They departed for the planet of Terifyn, a backwater world in the Mid-Rim. There, the Dark Jedi instantly made contact with the Tide; Dismal wasted no time, hacking violently at every pirate he saw. Moments later, the Plaguiean saw a presence he hadn't seen in a long while, nor had expected to see - that of [[Jonaleth Isradia]]. The [[Dark Side Adept|Dark Adept]] gave Alpha Team, commanded by Dismal, an extra boost of morale, which assisted them greatly in finishing the contingent of pirates whom they engaged.

Just as he thought he was ready to claim victory, [[Nemo Dupar]], Dismal's cousin, stepped into view. [[Galaphile Dupar|Galaphile]] and Dismal began dueling the older man. It had been no sooner than ten minutes into the epic battle when Nemo's apprentice, [[Semyon Cain]], arrived to assist his master. ===Beginnings===

Dismal Dupar was born to Ullus and Nene Dupar on the planet Kyandria in [[24 BBY to 1 BBY|3 BBY]]. He had three siblings: Gaidal, Galaphile, and Kai Dupar. The four [[Dupar]] children were born during a conflict which came to be known as the Seventh Clan War, where the reigning Chancellor was attempting to seize complete control of the planet.

Ullus and Nene were not exactly rich, so they could not afford to leave their small agricultural estate in Kalessa (an important spaceport city in the Tenkai region of Kyandria), where the war struck most. Ullus was a bureaucrat who did the dull and tedious job of distributing spaceport visas and corresponding documents, while Nene stayed at home to watch her children and oversee the farm. The small couple feared the fate of Kalessa, especially with four small children running around. Over time, though, the children started to take an interest in warfare, Dismal personally taking a keen interest to startfighters and space combat, which worried his parents.

===A Schoolboy===

''2 ABY – 8 ABY''

At the age of seven, Dismal began attending school at the Kalessa Academy for Boys. The young male immediately sparked an interest in spacecraft, studying much harder for his technology and fighter courses, which he passed with flying colors. His favorite teacher, Professor Cyrus Forrto, told Dismal in 6 ABY that he could see the child becoming a prominent student at the Kyandrian University of Spacecraft and Aeronautics. This would become the boy’s dream, along with creating new fighter designs for the Empire. Dismal studied long and hard for the next two years, passing all of his exams with ease.

===The Jedi Ways===

''8 ABY – 20 ABY''

In the year 8 ABY, Jedi Master Jomar Vacul, son of Spiro Vacul (who had trained Dismal’s uncle Darius), came to Kyandria to fetch the three boys after a series of particular incidents involving weird happenings. Gaidal had fought with his sister Kai on a day when she was feeling well over a piece of bread only one month before. He got so angry with his sibling that he pushed her an entire meter without even touching her. A few days after that, Dismal was playing a game of memory with his brother Galaphile, and he predicted what half of the cards were before seeing them. Galaphile was sparring with another boy during recess a day at the academy with whittled wooden sticks, and he managed to disarm the young boy on the ground in a matter of minutes as he claimed to have seen the boy’s moves seconds before they happened.

Master Vacul sensed the boys' force presence, and came to the planet to fetch them. Normally, Nene and Ullus would have objected, but they both saw it as a way to free their children from the turmoil that engulfed Kyandria. Despite the fact that the war was over and the chancellor had been killed, the economy had been decimated, and most everyone lived in poverty. The three boys left with Jomar and started their training as Jedi.

The group traveled to the planet of Dantooine, where they trained long and hard for several years. By 14 ABY, they reached the peak of manhood and were proving capable Jedi Knights, already building their first lightsabers. However, their emotions often got in the way of their training. Master Vacul was constantly warning the brothers to keep them in check, something Dismal was able to do for the most part, although his brother Gaidal wasn't as successful at.

At first Dismal tried to warn his brother about the temptations of the dark side, but over time he himself started to take interest in them more and more. As he watched Gaidal practice the forms and powers, he found them much more powerful, as well as out right cooler. His other brother Galaphile thought the same, and by 18 ABY all three boys were secretly practicing the ways of the dark arts.

In 20 ABY, it came to the Jedi Council that the three boys were following a dangerous path, Jomar was instructed to scold his former apprentices. As he did what he was told, the Knights quickly informed him of their true intentions, and all the flaws of the Jedi Order and the evil scheme of the Council. They quickly ignited their lightsabers and slew Jomar, who despite his power was no match for three men training in the dark arts.

The brothers each fled from the temple, escaping to a spaceport where they each went their separate ways. Not knowing where his other siblings would go, or if he would ever see them again, Dismal stole an X-Wing starfighter and traveled to Chandrila. Remembering stories of his uncle Darius and grandfather Ajax being involved with a group of assassins called the [[Crimson Tide]], he tracked them down and joined their ranks.

Dismal trained for a month, and was finally given full membership within the Tide. He proved to be an excellent mercenary, and was promoted to a commanding officer position within a year, and was assigned the Lightning Squadron of Z-95 Headhunters as his team. Eventually, in 24 ABY, the Tide finally went to war.

===[[Battle of Byfrost]]===

''24 ABY''

All Dismal was told was to assist the Tide in destroying a group of Dark Jedi located in the Acarr System. His past life as a Jedi as well as his years of service to the Tide swelled his ego, and he attacked full throttle.

The battle was ruteless, with it appearing at one point that the Tide might actually win. Slowly, though, Dismal's squadron was destroyed until only he remained. Then, his own ship was hit, and he was forced to retreat out of harms way.

A good thing, too, since mere moments after doing so Dismal watched as the Dark Jedi trapped a large number of the Tide's forces into the system, and then he watched them die as the sun went supernova. What was left of the Tide jumped back to hyperspace, ending up on Mygeeto where they slowly started to lick their wounds.

It had never been discovered who exactly it was that hit Dismal's fighter, forcing him to leave the battle and thus survive, but there is strong evidence to suggest that [[Aabsdu]] was behind it, since it has been proven that he took down a number of Dismal's squadmates.

===Dark Jedi Brotherhood===

''25 ABY – 27 ABY''

In 25 ABY, Dismal was beginning to tire of numerous defeats and low-level jobs assigned to him by the Tide. He was one of few in history who resigned and escaped from the Crimson Tide alive.

One day whilst sitting in a cantina on Nar Shaada, Dismal was approached by a cloaked, shadowy figure. With the crime level on the planet so high, the retired assassin immediately put on his guard.

He was promised a powerful life in a [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood|Brotherhood of Dark Jedi]] if he would just follow him. Dismal, his life only consisting of one night stands and watered down drinks, followed eagerly.

The two flew to a backwater planet in the [[Antei system]] named [[Lyspair]], and Dismal was enrolled in the [[Shadow Academy]], where he was put through rigorous tests and exams. He passed every one with good marks, and was eventually assigned to [[House Exar Kun]] of [[Clan Plagueis]], where he met up with his brother Galaphile once again.

The newly promoted [[Apprentice]] was assigned to [[House Exar Kun]] of [[Clan Plagueis]] once he graduated from the Academy. The shuttle ride was long and dreary, as opposed to what the rest of his life would be. Upon arriving on [[Aerun]] in the [[Jusadih System]] with other eager graduates, Dismal was placed into the care of Jaysen Erdon, House Exar Kun’s Envoy at the time. The Apprentice was very eager and willing to learn the Dark Arts and Lore, visiting the Shadow Academy on numerous occasions to complete various exams, training with [[Jedi Hunter|Hunter]] Erdon, and meeting the House’s Summit in various meetings. Dismal rose through the lower echelon ranks in no time.

Upon reaching the rank of [[Protector]], Dismal was approached by [[Krath Archpriest]] [[Scorpius]]. The Archpriest said he saw great potential in the young man, and extended an offer for the Protector to become his student. Dismal was elated and eagerly accepted the offer. The pair worked tirelessly into the night, practicing things such as piloting, [[Sith Alchemy]], and lightsaber combat.

===Leadership===

''26 ABY – 27 ABY''

In a mere month, Dismal was promoted to [[Guardian]]. His brother, [[Galaphile]], was finding the job of a [[Battleteam Leader]] too stressful once the team [[Blades of Kun]] was closed, so he resigned from the post. Dismal, who had been Executive Officer of Blades of Kun, was ready to assume the role. He composed an application and sent it in for approval. In days, the Guardian was chosen.

Dismal was promoted to [[Jedi Hunter]] during his tenure of Sith Commander of [[Exar's Shadow]], and once stopped a conflict his team and opposing team [[Satal Victus]] from escalating into full out war. In a short period of time, the position of [[Aedile]] became open in [[House Exar Kun]]. Dismal, who had already proven his leadership capabilities, was chosen very soon.

During his [[Dark Jedi Knight|Knight]] trials, Dismal completed a number of difficult tasks. This list includes, but is not limited to: assassinating the Hutt crimelord Morga, investigating a shipwreck in the dangerous Decarian jungles, and killing rogue Jedi Knights which proved a threat to [[Clan Plagueis]]. The tasks, coupled with Shadow Academy exams and leadership, qualified Dismal for promotion to Dark Jedi Knight.

The Knight continued in his position as Aedile, however as time wore on, he, like his brother, found the stress too much. He resigned, and remembering the help Jaysen Erdon offered him, he wished to inherit the vacant title of Envoy.

And so he did. The Aedile emeritus was given the title of House Exar Kun’s Rollmaster and Envoy. Dismal was somewhat successful in this newfound position, giving the newer members of House Exar Kun the guidance they required. It was during this time that fellow [[Dupar]] and Consul [[Aabsdu]] saw that the Envoy had proven skill that outweighed his current rank of Knight. As such, he was given the rank of [[Sith Warrior]].

===Incursion===

''27 ABY''

Time went on, and the Brotherhood was in store for something monumental. Months earlier, the Brotherhood engaged in a series of war games entitled [[Second Darkness]], an internal competition amongst clans, giving the clans opportunities to prove themselves in combat. As the training ended, [[Grand Master]] [[Aristan Dantes|Sarin]] called an award ceremony on [[Antei]]. Every clan and the majority of its members and forces were to be there. Given the lack of security in the [[Jusadih System]] at the time of the ceremony, Aabsdu appointed none other than Dismal to stay on [[Aerun]], to supervise [[Diadem Fortress]].

An invasion was the last thing that the Warrior hoped for. Alas, Aerun and Diadem Fortress were under attack. The enemy was very foreign; their craft were organic and ''very''dangerous. Dismal and his former master, [[Scorpius]], helped to defend the Fortress until the last moment, when the great castle fell.

The pair escaped in a TIE Phantom which they miraculously found in one piece. Scorpius and Dismal planned to escape the turmoil in which Aerun was now engulfed in, and meet then Clan Envoy [[Acheron|Anochiir]] to fight against the invaders. Their idea would not grow to fruition, however, as soon a band of coral skippers engaged the lone fighter. The two Dark Jedi were no match for the Yuuzhan Vong, who greatly outnumbered them. They were quickly pulled into the Miid Ro’ik ''Merciless'', the flagship of the invading forces. The struggle that Dismal and his master put up turned out to be futile; they were soon beaten into submission. They were each taken to a separate detention block, and were placed in an alien device called the Embrace of Pain. Pure, 100%, mind-numbing pain was all the pair felt for three days.

Dismal feared death during his imprisonment in the Yuuzhan Vong ship. Fear like that hadn’t wormed into his heart since the [[Battle of Byfrost]]. However, in one shimmering moment of glory, his brother [[Galaphile]] had come to save him, along with adopted-brother [[Jaden Kyrath]] and Anochiir. Dismal and [[Scorpius]] were rushed to medical attention soon after rescue, where they would remain for the duration of the war.

The Yuuzhan Vong were ordered to retreat from [[Jusadih System|Jusadih]] by the Supreme Overlord for taking too much time. [[Clan Plagueis]] had left Antei, back to their home system where they could lick their wounds. [[House Exar Kun]] was relocated to [[Kapsina]], due to the loss of their planet. It was during this time that Consul Aabsdu bestowed upon Dismal the [[Sapphire Blade]] for bravery and courage in a time of war. Along with the sacrificial award, he was also appointed to Clan Envoy of Plagueis, to better serve the Clan.

[[Clan Plagueis]] is one of six [[clan|clans]] in the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood]], and is composed of two houses: [[House Exar Kun]] and [[House Satal Keto]]. The youngest clan in the Brotherhood, it was formed from [[Clan Satal Keto]] and [[Clan Exar Kun|Exar Kun]] during the [[Dictum of Two Skies]]. Since then, conflicts like [[The Crimson War]] and the [[Seventh Great Jedi War|Seventh]] and [[Eighth Great Jedi War|Eighth Great Jedi Wars]] have kept the clan from dominating, but all the same it makes progress. Currently, Clan Plagueis is ran by Consul [[Braecen Kaeth]] and Proconsul [[Ky Terrak]].

==The Clan's Namesake==

The legendary Sith Lord, Darth Plagueis’ past is shrouded in mystery. A Muun, whose influence touched events in the galaxy for over half a century, Plagueis was discovered and trained by the unknown Sith Master of the time. Little more is known of the Muun Sith Lord’s past other than his choice of apprentice, Darth Sidious.

Although the specific events are unknown, Plagueis chose a gifted Nabooian known as Palpatine. Plagueis trained young Palpatine and declared him furthermore to be known as Darth Sidious. It is believed Plagueis realized that he had found the Sith Lord that would complete the millennium-old plan of Darth Bane: revenge and destruction of the Jedi Order.

From Sidious, it is known that Plagueis trained his apprentice in both the Light and Dark Sides of the Force, revealing Darth Plagueis’ wisdom in the necessity understanding one’s enemy, the Jedi, to assure their eventual destruction. Also revealed by his apprentice, Plagueis was fascinated with the concept of immortality and the possibilities of spontaneous generation, forcing him to delve into the deepest, darkest areas of the Force. By successfully influencing midi-chlorians, Darth Plagueis was able to save people from dying and create life.

After Plagueis had taught his apprentice everything he knew, Sidious killed him in his sleep, declaring himself the new Sith Master. With the ironic death of Plagueis, his legacy through his apprentice survived as Darth Sidious became the Sith Lord destined to take the final steps, to walk among the Jedi unseen, to bring about the destruction of the Jedi Order and the collapse of the Galactic Republic.

===Unification===

In the year [[20 ABY to 25 ABY|23 ABY]], [[Clan Satal Keto]] was attacked by the vicious pirate group known as the [[Crimson Tide]]. The Clan was already weak from recent wars and conflicts, and they simply could not withstand an attack of the size and nature that the Tide brought. Clan Satal Keto fought and fought, however even with the Force on their side, the pirates were slowly starting to win after four days of fighting. Consul Selket, not wanting to accept his fate, called for assistance from [[Clan Exar Kun]], Satal Keto’s sister clan.

The Kunians, despite sub-standard relations with the Ketoans, came to aid the dying clan. After another three days of intense and valiant combat, the severely injured Crimson Tide was forced to retreat.

The battle brutally wounded both clans. The Clans of Exar Kun and Satal Keto were in shambles. They went to the [[Dark Council]] for help, and the [[Star Chamber]] visited and assessed the two clans in their entirety, and concluded that the two clans should be merged into one if they were to survive.

Thus, the [[Dictum of Two Skies]] was carried out. New members came to the field, and for a month Jedi fought Jedi in battle for supremacy, and when the dust finally fell, a new band stood together, united by victory and strength, their weaknesses purged and cleansed in a trial by fire. From the ashes of two Clans arose a new one: [[Clan Plagueis|Plagueis]], a new life born of death. Then the Dictum was released, and as their final act, the Elders of the Star Chamber worked a great feat of Force magic - grasping the skeins of reality itself, they wove together the twin fates of Exar Kun and Satal Keto, and merged their powers into one.

The shockwaves of the Star Chambers actions, however, continued to ripple out through the Force, and unknown to all, a forgotten Sith Lord stirred in the embrace of the Dark Side. On the distant tomb planet of Korriban, Darth Plagueis arose from death in the shape of a grim wraith of Shadow and Dust, and called out to those whom had taken on his name.

The newly formed clan settled in the [[Acarr System]], the former home of [[Clan Exar Kun]]. As the Force would have it, however, after only a few months did trouble began to manifest itself. The [[Star Chamber]]’s amazing feat had twisted reality more than so perceived. Acarr’s sun, Sigil, which had already been dangerously unstable, was shifted out of balance and was rapidly approaching supernova status, increasing its radiation levels by the hour.

Doom was imminent, but the Plagueians had time to act due to the sharp sense of the clan's Elders who had discovered the problem. Moving as fast as mortally possible, the Clan organized and mobilized, beginning to flee the Acarr System. It was in this moment that the [[Crimson Tide]] returned, intent on destroying the band of Dark Jedi whom had nearly destroyed their entire fleet. [[Calliban Crimson]] launched a full attack on the evacuating Clan Plagueis. The Clan fought valiantly, and was able to hold back the pirate forces until the evacuation was complete. Then, in a final act of malign vengeance, [[Aristan Dantes|Sarin]], [[Kir Taldrya Katarn|Kir Katarn]], [[Jonaleth Isradia]], and the most powerful of the clan's members blockaded the system, trapping nearly all of the mercenaries inside, where they were killed by the intense radiation.

With the Crimson Tide severely crippled, Clan Plagueis relocated into the [[Jusadih System]], designated by the Clan Summit. [[House Exar Kun]] settled on the planet [[Aerun]], with its counterpart, [[House Satal Keto|Satal Keto]], moving to the icy world of [[Morroth]]. Construction on the Clan’s headquarters, the [[Dark Tower]], began immediately on the world of [[Sigil 1|Kapsina]], where the clan leaders and [[Council of the Wise]] were to reside. As the Plagueian [[Dark Jedi]] established their dominance in Jusadih, they took a local business, [[Sistros Acquisitions and Holdings]] as a cover front and to provide a steady flow of credits to the fledgling clan. By early-[[26 ABY to Present|26 ABY]], the clan has finished construction on all aspects on their new home, and started to work on improving other aspects of the clan.

The peace did not last for long, however, as only two years after the formation of [[Clan Plagueis]] the entiry Brotherhood erupted into civil war. What started with minor disputes among the clans quickly escalated into something much more. When a second [[Jac Cotelin]] appeared on Antei, things turned to war, and the clans split apart as each sided with the Jac that they considered to be the real one. Plagueis, specifically, joined the side of what was called the ''Red Jac''.

For weeks the clans fought each other to see who would come out on top, and specifically which Jac would come out above the other. However, Clan Plagueis was still just over two years old, and was still working to rebuild from its previous two encounters with the [[Crimson Tide]]. As such, it was weakened further from fighting with the much older and stronger clans against it, and was forced to hang out as long as possible and save as much of the fleet as they could.

====Assault on Diadem====

When the war finally started to die down and the true Jac claimed victory over the imposter, Clan Plagueis returned to the [[Jusadih System]] to lick its wounds. Yet, the war was not over for the Plagueians, for just as they returned a group of Aerunian rebels, known respectively as ARM (Aerunian Resistence Movement), attacked [[Diadem Fortress]] on [[Aerun]], home of [[House Exar Kun]].

Using a treachorous Novice to cut off the power to the defenses, the Aerunians blasted their way into the fortress and started destroying as much as possible. It is unknown exactly what they were trying to do, save for thinking they could actually kill all the Kunians with their small army. Once the traitor was killed and the power brought back online, though, the Aerunians' advantage collapsed.

Despite having several Rogue Dark Jedi on their side, the Kunians were able to fight off the ambush, but Diadem was greatly damaged, and would not be completely repaired for another six months, although with much better defenses.

After the Sixth Great Jedi War, Clan Plagueis entered a brief, yet useful, time of peace, where little conflict-wise happened, and the still young clan was allowed to grow and improve its infrastructure. Despite problems in leadership, the clan improved greatly during this time, and has continued to grow to this day, although not without being interrupted by war.

Specifically, at the beginning of [[26 ABY to Present|27 ABY]], the Brotherhood had a Rite of Supremacy between the six clans to determine which would have the privelage of guarding the Dark Shroud, and being named First Clan. Much stronger now, Plagueis fought valiantly, and while they didn't win, they were awarded the title Third Clan.

====Eighth Great Jedi War====

After the Rite of Supremacy, Plagueis took pride as Grand Master [[Sarin]] called for an awards ceremony on [[Antei]]. Things would not go as planned. As soon as the ceremony concluded, a fleet of epic proportions dropped outside of the Antei system from hyperspace. The Dark Brotherhood had no option but to retreat into [[The Shroud]]. Clan Plagueis was assigned to the rearguard. While fighting from within the dark cloud looming over Antei, old tensions broke out between the clans, who were already on-edge.

Plagueis, whose fleet was crippled as a result of the week long conflict, tried its best to stay out of the civil battle within the much larger one. Meanwhile, as the Brotherhood fell to its knees at its home planet, the Jusadih system was also invaded by the Yuuzhan Vong. Warrior Dismal and Archpriest Scorpius oversaw the resistance effort on Aerun, and performed valiantly for as long as they could before Diadem Fortress, and virtually all of Aerun was destroyed by the might of the invaders. Dismal and Scorpius had almost escaped the carnage in a lone TIE Phantom, but ultimately ended up prisoner on board the Vong mothership for three days.

Miraculously, the two Equites were rescued by a recovery team of Archpriest [[Anochiir]] Isradia, Knight Galaphile, and Knight [[Jaden Kyrath]], who had stayed in Jusadih for unknown reasons themselves. As the search party returned to Kapsina, Clan Plagueis tried to flee the bloodbath at Antei. Almost simultaneously, Grand Master Sarin returned from the Roche asteroid belt, accompanied by six brand-new Nebula-class Star Destroyers. Immediately, he executed the [[Braata Option]], which was a complete evacuation of Antei.

At the Jusadih system, the invasion force was forced to retreat by the Supreme Commander for taking too long. Clan Plagueis soon arrived, and after a much needed rest, started the monumental task of rebuilding their home….

===House Exar Kun===

Traditionally the [[Obelisk]] and [[Sith]] house, Exar Kun prides itself with being strong and loyal fighters both on the ground and in the sky, which is why they took [[Aerun]] as they home, due to its ideal training grounds. Often the members of this house are the first to go into battle, although Satal Keto is never far behind. In the past, Exar Kun was the dominate house in Plagueis, but in recent years various events have brought the two houses up to equal standards. Nonetheless, members of this house strongly believe they are dominate to their brothers.

===House Satal Keto===

Primarily a house of [[Krath]] origin, Satal Keto focuses more on the philosophical side of the force rather then the crude strength side. Located on [[Morroth]], the icy planet secludes them and allows them to practice their teachings in private. All the same, the Ketoans are not afraid to fight, and are often right behind their fellow Kunians when going to battle.

Dismal Dupar is a [[Sith Warrior]] of the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood]]. He serves under the banner of [[House Exar Kun]] and [[Clan Plagueis]], next to his fellow [[Dupar|Dupars]]. A natural politician, Dismal prefers to reach a diplomatic and peaceful solution to every problem. Since being imprisoned and tortured during the [[Invasion of Jusadih]], he has shown signs of a neurosis. The Kyandrian has not looked deep into the issue, however his emotions tend to vary in a very quick timeframe.

===Beginnings===

Dismal Dupar was born to Ullus and Nene Dupar on the planet Kyandria in [[24 BBY to 1 BBY|3 BBY]]. He had three siblings: Gaidal, Galaphile, and Kai Dupar. The four [[Dupar]] children were born during a conflict which came to be known as the Seventh Clan War, where the reigning Chancellor was attempting to seize complete control of the planet.

Ullus and Nene were not exactly rich, so they could not afford to leave their small agricultural estate in Kalessa (an important spaceport city in the Tenkai region of Kyandria), where the war struck most. Ullus was a bureaucrat who did the dull and tedious job of distributing spaceport visas and corresponding documents, while Nene stayed at home to watch her children and oversee the farm. The small couple feared the fate of Kalessa, especially with four small children running around. Over time, though, the children started to take an interest in warfare, Dismal personally taking a keen interest to startfighters and space combat, which worried his parents.

===A Schoolboy===

''2 ABY – 8 ABY''

At the age of seven, Dismal began attending school at the Kalessa Academy for Boys. The young male immediately sparked an interest in spacecraft, studying much harder for his technology and fighter courses, which he passed with flying colors. His favorite teacher, Professor Cyrus Forrto, told Dismal in 6 ABY that he could see the child becoming a prominent student at the Kyandrian University of Spacecraft and Aeronautics. This would become the boy’s dream, along with creating new fighter designs for the Empire. Dismal studied long and hard for the next two years, passing all of his exams with ease.

===The Jedi Ways===

''8 ABY – 20 ABY''

In the year 8 ABY, Jedi Master Jomar Vacul, son of Spiro Vacul (who had trained Dismal’s uncle Darius), came to Kyandria to fetch the three boys after a series of particular incidents involving weird happenings. Gaidal had fought with his sister Kai on a day when she was feeling well over a piece of bread only one month before. He got so angry with his sibling that he pushed her an entire meter without even touching her. A few days after that, Dismal was playing a game of memory with his brother Galaphile, and he predicted what half of the cards were before seeing them. Galaphile was sparring with another boy during recess a day at the academy with whittled wooden sticks, and he managed to disarm the young boy on the ground in a matter of minutes as he claimed to have seen the boy’s moves seconds before they happened.

Master Vacul sensed the boys' force presence, and came to the planet to fetch them. Normally, Nene and Ullus would have objected, but they both saw it as a way to free their children from the turmoil that engulfed Kyandria. Despite the fact that the war was over and the chancellor had been killed, the economy had been decimated, and most everyone lived in poverty. The three boys left with Jomar and started their training as Jedi.

The group traveled to the planet of Dantooine, where they trained long and hard for several years. By 14 ABY, they reached the peak of manhood and were proving capable Jedi Knights, already building their first lightsabers. However, their emotions often got in the way of their training. Master Vacul was constantly warning the brothers to keep them in check, something Dismal was able to do for the most part, although his brother Gaidal wasn't as successful at.

At first Dismal tried to warn his brother about the temptations of the dark side, but over time he himself started to take interest in them more and more. As he watched Gaidal practice the forms and powers, he found them much more powerful, as well as out right cooler. His other brother Galaphile thought the same, and by 18 ABY all three boys were secretly practicing the ways of the dark arts.

In 20 ABY, it came to the Jedi Council that the three boys were following a dangerous path, Jomar was instructed to scold his former apprentices. As he did what he was told, the Knights quickly informed him of their true intentions, and all the flaws of the Jedi Order and the evil scheme of the Council. They quickly ignited their lightsabers and slew Jomar, who despite his power was no match for three men training in the dark arts.

The brothers each fled from the temple, escaping to a spaceport where they each went their separate ways. Not knowing where his other siblings would go, or if he would ever see them again, Dismal stole an X-Wing starfighter and traveled to Chandrila. Remembering stories of his uncle Darius and grandfather Ajax being involved with a group of assassins called the [[Crimson Tide]], he tracked them down and joined their ranks.

Dismal trained for a month, and was finally given full membership within the Tide. He proved to be an excellent mercenary, and was promoted to a commanding officer position within a year, and was assigned the Lightning Squadron of Z-95 Headhunters as his team. Eventually, in 24 ABY, the Tide finally went to war.

All Dismal was told was to assist the Tide in destroying a group of Dark Jedi located in the Acarr System. His past life as a Jedi as well as his years of service to the Tide swelled his ego, and he attacked full throttle.

The battle was ruteless, with it appearing at one point that the Tide might actually win. Slowly, though, Dismal's squadron was destroyed until only he remained. Then, his own ship was hit, and he was forced to retreat out of harms way.

A good thing, too, since mere moments after doing so Dismal watched as the Dark Jedi trapped a large number of the Tide's forces into the system, and then he watched them die as the sun went supernova. What was left of the Tide jumped back to hyperspace, ending up on Mygeeto where they slowly started to lick their wounds.

It had never been discovered who exactly it was that hit Dismal's fighter, forcing him to leave the battle and thus survive, but there is strong evidence to suggest that [[Aabsdu]] was behind it, since it has been proven that he took down a number of Dismal's squadmates.

===Dark Jedi Brotherhood===

''25 ABY – 27 ABY''

In 25 ABY, Dismal was beginning to tire of numerous defeats and low-level jobs assigned to him by the Tide. He was one of few in history who resigned and escaped from the Crimson Tide alive.

One day whilst sitting in a cantina on Nar Shaada, Dismal was approached by a cloaked, shadowy figure. With the crime level on the planet so high, the retired assassin immediately put on his guard.

He was promised a powerful life in a [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood|Brotherhood of Dark Jedi]] if he would just follow him. Dismal, his life only consisting of one night stands and watered down drinks, followed eagerly.

The two flew to a backwater planet in the [[Antei system]] named [[Lyspair]], and Dismal was enrolled in the [[Shadow Academy]], where he was put through rigorous tests and exams. He passed every one with good marks, and was eventually assigned to [[House Exar Kun]] of [[Clan Plagueis]], where he met up with his brother Galaphile once again.

The newly promoted [[Apprentice]] was assigned to [[House Exar Kun]] of [[Clan Plagueis]] once he graduated from the Academy. The shuttle ride was long and dreary, as opposed to what the rest of his life would be. Upon arriving on [[Aerun]] in the [[Jusadih System]] with other eager graduates, Dismal was placed into the care of Jaysen Erdon, House Exar Kun’s Envoy at the time. The Apprentice was very eager and willing to learn the Dark Arts and Lore, visiting the Shadow Academy on numerous occasions to complete various exams, training with [[Jedi Hunter|Hunter]] Erdon, and meeting the House’s Summit in various meetings. Dismal rose through the lower echelon ranks in no time.

Upon reaching the rank of [[Protector]], Dismal was approached by [[Krath Archpriest]] [[Scorpius]]. The Archpriest said he saw great potential in the young man, and extended an offer for the Protector to become his student. Dismal was elated and eagerly accepted the offer. The pair worked tirelessly into the night, practicing things such as piloting, [[Sith Alchemy]], and lightsaber combat.

===Leadership===

''26 ABY – 27 ABY''

In a mere month, Dismal was promoted to [[Guardian]]. His brother, [[Galaphile]], was finding the job of a [[Battleteam Leader]] too stressful once the team [[Blades of Kun]] was closed, so he resigned from the post. Dismal, who had been Executive Officer of Blades of Kun, was ready to assume the role. He composed an application and sent it in for approval. In days, the Guardian was chosen.

Dismal was promoted to [[Jedi Hunter]] during his tenure of Sith Commander of [[Exar's Shadow]], and once stopped a conflict his team and opposing team [[Satal Victus]] from escalating into full out war. In a short period of time, the position of [[Aedile]] became open in [[House Exar Kun]]. Dismal, who had already proven his leadership capabilities, was chosen very soon.

During his [[Dark Jedi Knight|Knight]] trials, Dismal completed a number of difficult tasks. This list includes, but is not limited to: assassinating the Hutt crimelord Morga, investigating a shipwreck in the dangerous Decarian jungles, and killing rogue Jedi Knights which proved a threat to [[Clan Plagueis]]. The tasks, coupled with Shadow Academy exams and leadership, qualified Dismal for promotion to Dark Jedi Knight.

The Knight continued in his position as Aedile, however as time wore on, he, like his brother, found the stress too much. He resigned, and remembering the help Jaysen Erdon offered him, he wished to inherit the vacant title of Envoy.

And so he did. The Aedile emeritus was given the title of House Exar Kun’s Rollmaster and Envoy. Dismal was somewhat successful in this newfound position, giving the newer members of House Exar Kun the guidance they required. It was during this time that fellow [[Dupar]] and Consul [[Aabsdu]] saw that the Envoy had proven skill that outweighed his current rank of Knight. As such, he was given the rank of [[Sith Warrior]].

===Incursion===

''27 ABY''

Time went on, and the Brotherhood was in store for something monumental. Months earlier, the Brotherhood engaged in a series of war games entitled [[Second Darkness]], an internal competition amongst clans, giving the clans opportunities to prove themselves in combat. As the training ended, [[Grand Master]] [[Aristan Dantes|Sarin]] called an award ceremony on [[Antei]]. Every clan and the majority of its members and forces were to be there. Given the lack of security in the [[Jusadih System]] at the time of the ceremony, Aabsdu appointed none other than Dismal to stay on [[Aerun]], to supervise [[Diadem Fortress]].

An invasion was the last thing that the Warrior hoped for. Alas, Aerun and Diadem Fortress were under attack. The enemy was very foreign; their craft were organic and ''very''dangerous. Dismal and his former master, [[Scorpius]], helped to defend the Fortress until the last moment, when the great castle fell.

The pair escaped in a TIE Phantom which they miraculously found in one piece. Scorpius and Dismal planned to escape the turmoil in which Aerun was now engulfed in, and meet then Clan Envoy [[Acheron|Anochiir]] to fight against the invaders. Their idea would not grow to fruition, however, as soon a band of coral skippers engaged the lone fighter. The two Dark Jedi were no match for the Yuuzhan Vong, who greatly outnumbered them. They were quickly pulled into the Miid Ro’ik ''Merciless'', the flagship of the invading forces. The struggle that Dismal and his master put up turned out to be futile; they were soon beaten into submission. They were each taken to a separate detention block, and were placed in an alien device called the Embrace of Pain. Pure, 100%, mind-numbing pain was all the pair felt for three days.

Dismal feared death during his imprisonment in the Yuuzhan Vong ship. Fear like that hadn’t wormed into his heart since the [[Battle of Byfrost]]. However, in one shimmering moment of glory, his brother [[Galaphile]] had come to save him, along with adopted-brother [[Jaden Kyrath]] and Anochiir. Dismal and [[Scorpius]] were rushed to medical attention soon after rescue, where they would remain for the duration of the war.

The Yuuzhan Vong were ordered to retreat from [[Jusadih System|Jusadih]] by the Supreme Overlord for taking too much time. [[Clan Plagueis]] had left Antei, back to their home system where they could lick their wounds. [[House Exar Kun]] was relocated to [[Kapsina]], due to the loss of their planet. It was during this time that Consul Aabsdu bestowed upon Dismal the [[Sapphire Blade]] for bravery and courage in a time of war. Along with the sacrificial award, he was also appointed to Clan Envoy of Plagueis, to better serve the Clan.

===Rogue===

''27 ABY - 28 ABY''

After the Vong Invasion ended, Dismal served admirably as Knight Class Envoy of Clan Plagueis for a while, helping all of the new members get acquainted with the [[Dark Jedi Brotherhood|Brotherhood]]. Once [[Jagan]] was promoted to [[Quaestor]] of House Exar Kun, the position of Aedile was open. After many private talks with Jagan, the Kyandrian was chosen as [[Aedile]] of his House once more. However, nothing good would come from Dismal's short tenure - a few days after being appointed to his new position, he snuck away from the Jusadih system and the Dark Brotherhood. No one knew for sure where Dismal went, but it was rumored that he went to Dantooine.

For reasons Dismal doesn't even understand, he returned to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, to his home Clan of [[Clan Plagueis|Plagueis]] and House of [[House Exar Kun|Exar Kun]].
