Amara always adored her small tribe and it's location. [[Thanadris]] was riddled with history. While they constantly faced natural disasters, they had learned to adapt with it. The simplicity of the small village had given Amara peace and a sense of security.

The sense of security did not last long.

At 40 ABY, when Amara was eighteen years old, [[Cassandra Oriana Tyris]] had found the tribe. Amara's tribe were all too willingly to immediately help Cassandra and started to bring in refugees much to Amara's dismay. She had disagreed with the majority of the Tribe's decision to allow Cassandra to make the changes. Cassandra was responsible for bringing in a large population and different sudden equipments that outsiders, had brought.

She believed the sudden presence would not bode well for the fragility of the Thanadris ruins.

This caused resentment and bitterness to grow in the young Jedi's heart.

Amara's skin carried the cool blue tone, showing she came from a Pantroan lineage. She has high, sweeping cheekbones with a jawline that suggests a stubborn resilience. Her eyes are bright yellow with blue speckles. Her face is framed by thick strands of dark magenta. She normally has it up in a high ponytail, but when it's down, it sweeps at her elbow. Her Lonto's pointed ears have golden tips that show she tries to be a good listener.

She has the typical golden markings on her face to signify her Pantroan heritage. The lines underneath her eyes are thick to bring out the striking yellows of her eyes. The forehead lines are almost like a tiara but do not connect, suggesting she valued personality over knowledge.

Her right leg is covered in an intricate swirl of golden ink with different florals, vines, and thick lines from her hip down to her feet. As she moved, the light caught the fine linework, making the golden lines appear to shimmer. The line continues to spill over to the left side of the hip with two different golden flowers and vines. Despite her age, Velira physically appears only to be in her twenties. Her skin is smooth and porcelain-pale with a faint silvery undertone, flawless and almost luminous under light. Her heart shaped face is strikingly symmetrical, with high cheekbones and a narrow jawline that gives her a regal appearance. Thick, dark hair falls in loose curls, cascading over her shoulders with subtle maroon and violet undertones.

Her slightly upturned eyes are round to give her face a gentler appearance, despite the striking blood-red irises. They are framed by long, dark lashes and delicately arched brows, surrounded by shadows. Her lips are full and naturally dark, contrasting sharply with her pale skin.

Her elegant figure is petite with soft, feminine curves, including a larger bust line. She has long, talon-like nails that come to naturally sharp points and are typically painted dark red in color.

Velira Morvane was born into privilege and power on her Anzati homeworld, descending from a line of nobles and royalty whose wealth allowed them to live detached from the harsh realities of their species predatory nature. While most Anzati prowled the galaxy for their sustenance, the Morvane family had meals delivered—captives taken from off world or criminals condemned to death, discreetly transferred to their palace and offered up as living feasts. This arrangement allowed them to maintain their noble veneer, dining in elegance while feeding their appetites without ever leaving home.

From an early age, Velira displayed an acute sensitivity to the Force, even more so than the rest of her siblings. Velira’s mother, an Empress among their kind, would spend long hours practicing the Sith arcane traditions of the Nightsisters from high in the palace towers. It was there that her mother mentored her, teaching her how to wield a few of her abilities. This was the only bond that Velira ever forged to her family. Her parents never held any love for each other, their very marriage one that was arranged. Velira's father always pushed for her to learn a careful set of manners and forbade her from seeing the world beyond their palace walls, preparing her for an enteral life of servitude to the Morvane family name. Meanwhile, her siblings were highly competitive with one another, eager to prove themselves to their father in hopes to gain his favor, a notion that Velira never shared.

Unknown to Velira at the time, there was a ruse for power among the other members of her family, hungry to take it for themselves. Her Mother had always kept a careful balance on their planet with distributing the prey as the sole ruler at the time, ensuring that no Anzat ever went without food. This notion was one the other nobles did not agree with, for they wanted more food for themselves rather than share and have less, even at the expense of losing other Anzati to turning feral. One evening, Velira's uncle captured her mother on behalf of orders from her father, casting her deep into a prison cell within the palace. Her father, Viktor, ascended to the throne in her stead, while her mother was tortured and left to starve. When Velira's mother finally did inevitably became a feral Anzat, she was torn to pieces by the other nobles and died at their hands.

Following the death of her mother, Velira could no longer stand to be anywhere near her family, as her hatred grew along with the feeling of being trapped. She found her family’s way of life hollow and grotesque— predation stripped of its challenge, turned into indulgence without purpose. While the Morvanes feasted behind silk curtains and polished marble, Velira longed for the freedom of choosing her own path and living by her own strength. Finally, Velira forged a deal with her father— She could gain access to her share of the family wealth, and have 200 years of freedom, in exchange for then returning to the throne to serve her family as soon as that time runs out.

Eventually, she met a handsome Evereni male of noble blood by the name of Kaleo Davray, and the two fell in love with one another. However, it was not to last. Despite being an Anzat, during this time, she ''tried'' to do better. Her feedings became much more infrequent, and when she did need to feed, it was from criminals.

When Velira finally escaped nearly one hundred years later from her imprisonment, she fled the planet, after discovering that Kaleo Davray and his family had long passed away.

Following her escape from decades of imprisonment, Velira’s path led her to track down a living descendant of her former lover, Kaleo Davray. Consumed by a desire for vengeance, she intended to kill the young woman—only to discover she was living under the protection of a Nightsister Coven on a remote world. Using calculated deception, Velira infiltrated the coven, presenting herself as a wandering Force adept seeking refuge.

Her integration was seamless; she adapted to their rituals and cloaked her true identity beneath feigned loyalty. Over time, however, Velira forged an unexpected bond with the girl she had come to destroy. This fragile connection was shattered when the girl betrayed her trust, revealing Velira’s nature to the coven’s leadership. Rather than fleeing, Velira turned her focus to vengeance once more—this time against the entire coven.

During this time, Velira uncovered that her brother Levoro and wife Sevyrna Morvane, had also fled their homeworld of Anzat to forge a new life for himself along other a few other Anzati. In the wastes of Tatooine near a small mining outpost, they forged a home for themselves hidden within a series of underground crypts. Velira visited, where she befriended another Anzat named Miren and her husband Silas Kal'Vorro. Silas was different among their kind, for he tried to live honorably and had uncovered a more humane way to feed, without killing the victim. Silas taught this particular skill and methodology behind it to Velira. When both Silas and Miren had a daughter together named Elyna, Velira remained as a close family friend and cared for the girl as though her own.

But it was not to last. As the years passed, and Velira was off world in pursuit of her own endeavors, the group of Anzati within that area of Tatooine were hunted to near extinction by local officers, until only Miren, Silas, and Elyna remained. Miren, after countlessly ignoring her own needs to ensure that her family remained fed, eventually turned feral. When Silas went to pick up a blaster to kill her and end her suffering, he was unable to finish the deed, and called upon Velira for help. Velira finished the act, killing one of the rare few she considered her friend with a quick snap to the neck. She ensured that both Silas and Elyna remained safe and hidden, before leaving the planet yet again.

At 320 years old, Velira’s path shifted again. Her attention was drawn to Clan Odan-Urr, a community of Force-sensitive individuals known for their strength, discipline, and commitment to safeguarding knowledge. For a predator like Velira, such powerful minds—bright with the Force and rich in experience—were an irresistible temptation. She saw in them the promise of unparalleled meals, each one offering insight and vitality far beyond what ordinary prey could provide.

Yet, upon approaching the Clan, something in her shifted. The discipline, camaraderie, and purpose she observed in them contrasted sharply with her centuries of predation and deception. Instead of stalking them as prey, Velira adopted her medic persona and sought to assimilate discreetly, offering healing and support while concealing her true nature for the next four years.

Her ruse could not last forever. Mihoshi Keibatsu, the Clan’s Proconsul and a skilled telepath, uncovered the truth of what she was. Rather than exile her, Miho offered Velira a choice: to harness her talents for the Clan as a spy and infiltrator. She accepted, outwardly maintaining her identity as a medic working in a Jedi healing facility, while serving secretly in this new role.

==== Syndicate Alliance: ====
Velira's need for adequate sustenance to quench her natural Anzati hungers, something that she was unable to easily attain within Odan-Urr, led her to a meeting at ''The Sinning Den to'' align her interests with those of the notorious Morgan Sorenn. Velira was eventually offered a position among Morgan and her crew, serving as a Doctor among them.

== Feeding Practices ==
While she will refer to her food source as the soup occasionally, she views this specific term along the lines of being undignified. Instead, Velira prefers to use the Anzati phrases of ''life'' ''essence or sea of memory.'' In comparison to others of her kind, Velira deems herself as taking a more "humane" approach when it comes to feeding. A few of these beliefs she chose to adopt after she became a medic.

==== Guiding Principles ====
There is one moral centered around feeding that Velira has vowed to herself to never break, for however many hundreds of years that she is alive for. She has vowed to herself to never feed upon the life essence from younglings, and would rather choose death over doing so. She views the minds of younglings as something precious and innocent, meant to be protected. As an Anzat, Velira has never fed on a youngling, but has hunted down other members of her species if she uncovered that they were found guilty of such a crime.

==== Quality Over Quantity ====
Due to years of exercising self control, while Velira is still prone to the traditional soup cravings as an Anzat, she is typically able to cope with those sensations without the need to impulsively feed. This allows her to be much more selective when it comes to her prey, as needed. Velira will typically opt to go after those with what she deems as stronger minds, if she is able to. Additionally, she feels that they have more of a fair chance of defending themselves, and so it reduces her guilt in doing so. The added benefit feeding on those with stronger minds or those who are stronger in the Force, is that the one meal can sustain Velira for much longer, as opposed to the equivalent of having quick snacks. If she is severely limited in her options, only then will she not act on this particular belief.

==== Acts of Mercy ====
Velira will not readily kill those that she feeds from, unless she uncovers that they are criminals, or under specific circumstances. Those specific circumstances sometimes arise from her patients that she oversees as a medic. If they are deemed beyond saving, or ask to be finally relieved of their suffering, only then will Velira feed from them until they pass away. She goes extra lengths to ensure that the procedure is quick and as painless as possible, certainly more painless than what is they may already have been experiencing.

==== Feeding Responsibly ====
In most circumstances, Velira go the extra length to aide her "meal" through the experience to the best of her abilities. Her proboscises are silky and precise in nature. Her knowledge as a medic and in different body systems allow her to mark specific areas of the brain to feed from, to limit the amount of harm caused. Additionally, she will typically only feed with one proboscis, while the other one is readily administering bacta fluid to the brain to help with replenishment and promote healing. She will do her best to take only what she needs, and not feed in excess. Even more so, if deemed necessary, Velira may oftentimes use the Force to alter the memories of those who she feeds on in a way so that they have no recollection of the experience, and can move forwards with their lives.

Velira Morvane’s connection to [[Morgan B. Sorenn|Morgan Sorenn]] began with intent, hunger, and a calculated plan. Drawn initially by the intensity of Morgan’s life essence, what started as a calculated alignment of interests slowly became something else. Morgan proved to be one of the first, if not the only, people to truly accept Velira for what she is. In turn, Velira came to embrace Morgan fully: her chaos, her trauma, and the freedom that she embodies. Over time, the hunger that once defined Velira’s interest faded, replaced by genuine care.

For each difference between them, something unexpected took shape— a sense of balance neither of them was meant to find. For each contrast, they came to understand one another in ways few others could, and their connection deepened.

All multiplayer video games are eligible to be submitted for clusters, subject to the discretion of the Fist. The following requirements must be met:

* You must play with at least one other DB member. There will be no solo submissions allowed in this queue
* The game must have a screenshot that clearly shows the gamertag, PSN ID, Steam name, etc. for all members who participated
* One screenshot per activity completed must be submitted. Put another way one casual queue cluster per screenshot will be strictly enforced.

* Decks using "Core Set" cards are the default. You can find which cards from the core set you have by clicking the button in the bottom left corner of the collection interface and selecting Core Set from under the Standard Sets heading (See image below).
* If members cannot agree on the type of deck used, both will use Core Set decks.
* If you do not have a Core Set deck built, there are recipes for core set decks available for all classes.
** Note #1: Do not use the “Complete My Deck” option as it will add non-core set cards to your deck, regardless of which viewing filter you have set in the deck management screen. You will need to select the cards manually to ensure that only Core Set cards are added to your deck.
** Note #2: When you first start: You will not have access to all of the available cards for the Core Set and you will gain access to more as you level the characters by playing them.

**Once the match has concluded and when the MVP (voting) screen comes up, press the TAB key to bring up the stats screen. This is the screenshot you will submit for CF’s. For it shows what level AI was fought (Beginner/Recruit; Adept; Veteran or Elite).
**If you do not hit tab during the MVP screen you will not capture the correct stat screen. It will not have Recruit/Adept/Veteran or Elite by AI. This is an invalid screenshot and will be rejected.

Amara always adored her small tribe and it's location. [[Thanadris]] was riddled with history. While they constantly faced natural disasters, they had learned to adapt with it. The simplicity of the small village had given Amara peace and a sense of security.

The sense of security did not last long.

At 40 ABY, when Amara was eighteen years old, [[Cassandra Oriana Tyris]] had found the tribe. Amara's tribe were all too willingly to immediately help Cassandra and started to bring in refugees much to Amara's dismay. She had disagreed with the majority of the Tribe's decision to allow Cassandra to make the changes. Cassandra was responsible for bringing in a large population and different sudden equipments that outsiders, had brought.

She believed the sudden presence would not bode well for the fragility of the Thanadris ruins.

This caused resentment and bitterness to grow in the young Jedi's heart.

== Physical Description ==

Amara's skin carried the cool blue tone, showing she came from a Pantroan lineage. She has high, sweeping cheekbones with a jawline that suggests a stubborn resilience. Her eyes are bright yellow with blue speckles. Her face is framed by thick strands of dark magenta. She normally has it up in a high ponytail, but when it's down, it sweeps at her elbow. Her Lonto's pointed ears have golden tips that show she tries to be a good listener.

She has the typical golden markings on her face to signify her Pantroan heritage. The lines underneath her eyes are thick to bring out the striking yellows of her eyes. The forehead lines are almost like a tiara but do not connect, suggesting she valued personality over knowledge.

Her right leg is covered in an intricate swirl of golden ink with different florals, vines, and thick lines from her hip down to her feet. The world he was born into offered no path forward and no expectation of one. He was property before he was a person, and the distinction was never made clear to him until it was made for him by someone else.

That someone was [[Uji Tameike]].

The precise circumstances under which Uji encountered Vael have not been publicly documented, but the outcome is well established: Uji arranged for Vael's extraction from Arkania and his transport to Arx, the seat of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood's power. Vael is tall and broad-shouldered, with a muscular build that reflects both his genetic origins as a labor-optimized Arkanian Offshoot and the conditioning he has undergone since his arrival in the Brotherhood. He stands out in any room - not through effort, but through presence. His pale skin, black hair, and silver-gray eyes mark him unmistakably as an Offshoot rather than a pureblood Arkanian, the latter of whom would carry all-white eyes and the four-fingered hands of the unmodified strain.

At twenty-two, he is young for the proximity to power he now occupies. The contrast between his age and his physicality creates a particular kind of first impression: he looks like authority before he has finished earning it. [[Vael]] is a young warrior of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, serving as one of the elite Royal Guards assigned to the protection of Grand Master Thane. An Arkanian Offshoot born into a genetically engineered servant caste, Vael came to the Brotherhood through the direct intervention of [[Uji Tameike]], who identified him, arranged his transport to Arx, and took him on as an apprentice. Vael continues his training under Rahjin and Barafu - Warlord and Praetor of the Fist, respectively - both figures elevated to their positions by Uji himself.

Where his master was defined by patience, precision, and the authority of long experience, Vael leads with intensity, raw physical force, and forward momentum. The tension between those instincts and the discipline his training demands is the central challenge of his development. He is not reckless - but he is always on the edge of it.

=== Origins ===

Vael's early life was defined entirely by his function. As an Arkanian Offshoot, he belonged to a genetically modified caste bred over generations for physical labor and compliant service - stronger and more durable than baseline humans, but granted little else. The world he was born into offered no path forward and no expectation of one. He was property before he was a person, and the distinction was never made clear to him until it was made for him by someone else.

That someone was [[Uji Tameike]].

The precise circumstances under which Uji encountered Vael have not been publicly documented, but the outcome is well established: Uji arranged for Vael's extraction from Arkania and his transport to Arx, the seat of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood's power. Whether this was an act of genuine recognition, a calculated investment in a future asset, or something of both, only Uji knew - and Uji rarely explained himself.

=== Training Under Uji ===

Upon arriving on Arx, Vael was formally taken on as Uji's apprentice. The dynamic between them was shaped by contrast from the beginning. Uji was deliberate, controlled, and methodical - a veteran tactician who had spent decades learning to win without waste. Vael was twenty-two years old, built like a weapon, and ran on intensity before he ran on anything else.

Uji did not try to extinguish that. He tried to aim it.

The training Uji imposed was structured and demanding, focused on building foundations that Vael's instincts would always be trying to outrun. He drilled control, patience, and the value of waiting - not because he expected Vael to become him, but because he understood that power without discipline is a liability. Beyond personal instruction, Uji also ensured that Vael was positioned within the Brotherhood's institutional structure. When Uji appointed Rahjin as Warlord and Barafu as his Praetor during his tenure as Fist, he saw to it that Vael was connected to both - not as a favor, but as continuation. Uji also oversaw Vael's selection as one of the candidates for the Grand Master's Royal Guard - placing him in proximity to Grand Master Thane and the Brotherhood's inner circle before Uji himself was no longer present to navigate it alongside him.

=== Service Under Rahjin and Barafu ===

Following Uji's death in the final stages of the conflict against the Collective, Vael's ongoing development fell to Rahjin and Barafu - a transition Uji had anticipated and arranged for. Both Togorians had known Vael during Uji's tenure and were aware of what he was, what he had been shaped toward, and what it would take to keep shaping him.

Vael continues to serve as a Royal Guard to Grand Master Thane. The role demands exactly the qualities his training has been trying to cultivate: precision under pressure, control in close quarters, and the ability to subordinate momentum to judgment. For someone who runs on intensity by nature, the Guard is not a comfortable assignment - it is a demanding one. That, in Uji's estimation, was the point.

His work with the Fist continues alongside his Guard duties. How Vael navigates the authority of his two current mentors, and what he builds from the foundation Uji left him, remains the open question of his story.

== Physical Description ==

Vael is tall and broad-shouldered, with a muscular build that reflects both his genetic origins as a labor-optimized Arkanian Offshoot and the conditioning he has undergone since his arrival in the Brotherhood. He stands out in any room - not through effort, but through presence. His pale skin, black hair, and silver-gray eyes mark him unmistakably as an Offshoot rather than a pureblood Arkanian, the latter of whom would carry all-white eyes and the four-fingered hands of the unmodified strain.

At twenty-two, he is young for the proximity to power he now occupies. The contrast between his age and his physicality creates a particular kind of first impression: he looks like authority before he has finished earning it. Those who know what he was before he arrived on Arx tend to find that contrast more interesting than those who don't.

== Personality and Traits ==

Vael's defining qualities are intensity, ambition, raw force, and forward momentum. He approaches problems the way he approaches opponents - head-on, with full commitment, and with a preference for resolution over process. Left to his own instincts, he moves fast and hits hard and trusts that the details will follow.

His training has not removed those instincts. It has given them edges.

Uji spent considerable effort teaching Vael to slow down without stopping - to read a situation before responding to it, to recognize when patience was not weakness but advantage. The lesson took, though imperfectly. Vael now operates with more deliberation than he once did, but the pressure of his natural temperament is always present beneath it, and those who know him well can see the difference between when he is exercising control and when control is costing him something.

He is not reckless. He is someone who understands recklessness well enough to resist it, which is a different thing, and harder.

His ambition is real and unsuppressed. He knows where he came from, and he knows what it means to have been extracted from it rather than remaining there. He does not waste that. Whether that drive will serve the Brotherhood or eventually complicate his place within it is a question still being answered.

Vael's natural physical capabilities are exceptional, a product of his Arkanian Offshoot heritage and the genetic modifications of the caste he was born into. He is stronger, faster, and more physically durable than baseline humans, and his conditioning since joining the Brotherhood has developed those advantages further. He has cultivated an unusually high degree of mastery over his own body through Force Amplification and Control Self, allowing him to push his physical limits and maintain composure in circumstances that would overwhelm most practitioners. In terms of raw self-discipline, he ranks among the more capable members of the Brotherhood.

That talent is worth understanding correctly. Control does not come easily, It means he is capable of maintaining it despite the fact that it is always, without exception, a struggle. The discipline is real. So is the cost of sustaining it.

=== The Force ===

Vael demonstrates significant Force potential, with particular strength in Telekinesis and Force Lightning. Both abilities are capable of manifesting at high intensity - and therein lies his most significant weakness. When his emotional state is sufficiently elevated, particularly under anger or frustration, his control over these abilities degrades sharply. Telekinesis and Lightning have been known to manifest without his intention, physically expressing what he has not been able to suppress internally. It is an involuntary tell: those who know what to look for can read his emotional state from the air around him before he says a word.

This is not a flaw he has hidden. His trainers are aware of it, and the nature of his ongoing instruction reflects it. Managing the relationship between his emotional state and his Force output is a central part of what Rahjin and Barafu are working on with him.

=== Combat ===

Vael fights with a dual-bladed lightsaber, a weapon choice that was not made to suit his instincts but to correct them. A dual-blade demands constant awareness of both ends, disciplined footwork, and deliberate management of momentum - it punishes the kind of forward-charging aggression that comes naturally to him. The assignment was intentional: the weapon forces him to slow down and calculate in the moments when his instinct is to accelerate. Progress has been real, if uneven.

His foundational combat training combines Djem So with Mandalorian Core. Djem So's emphasis on powerful, aggressive counterattacks suits his physical strength and natural drive, while Mandalorian Core grounds him in unarmed practical combat. The combination gives him a versatile and forceful fighting style, though one that remains most effective when he is in sufficient control of himself to apply it with precision rather than pressure.

===Awards & Promotions===
# The Brotherhood [[XP Policy]] governs promotions and describes the process for awarding medals under the XP system.
# All recommendations for awards and promotions are required to contain specific, concrete details for the activities described. We are not interested in the fact that someone is great; we are interested in how they are great. While recommendations should detail a member’s character and personality, factual data should be provided contextually. Straight lists without further context of activities do not give appropriate recognition to the membership and are frowned upon.
# While unit leaders are given the authority to award medals and grant promotions, the Deputy Grand Master maintains the authority to approve, remand, or deny requests according to Brotherhood-wide standards known to all members and leaders. Any issues related to a promotion or award’s appropriateness should be directed to the DGM before submitting it for review.
# Neither clan titles or fictional positions of leadership constitute the authority to award medals or promotions. These remain strictly in the realm of officially recognized Brotherhood positions.
# All medals and promotions should be known and directed through (up and down) the chain of command appropriately so each leader knows what is being requested.
# Do not give out more than one medal for the same piece of project work. The best practice is to recognize a completed project with one award upon completion.
# Once granted, medals and promotions can only be revoked by the [[Chamber of Justice]] and include instances in which new medals may be created, resulting in converting old medals. This does not apply to obvious administrative or technical errors, which can be administratively (rather than judicially) removed by the Deputy Grand Master or designate.
# All medals and promotions must be submitted through the website, where leaders have the administrative authority. Pre-approval is not necessary. In cases where a higher award or rank is warranted (beyond the administrative authority of a consul, for instance), the Deputy Grand Master staff should be contacted to facilitate the promotion or award.
# The site will automatically create draft recommendations for the first of each medal on a member's medal ladder (DC->AC->SC->GC->SB->AK) and promotions through [[EL2|Elder 2]].
## A lower tier award should be considered if the alternative is a member going a year or more without recognition.
## Medal and promotion recommendations created by the site will be claimed by a summit member able to recommend the medal or promotion. Leaders should edit the draft recommendations as necessary to reflect the member's accomplishments since their last medal or promotion.
## All claimed recommendations must be submitted for Deputy Grand Master approval within one week of creation. After that time they will revert to the Deputy Grand Master Office.
## Leaders must claim and submit their recommendations for medal ladder awards or promotions to the Deputy Grand Master within one week.
# Once a member has completed their medal ladder, clan summits should review them for an appropriate medal every three to six months unless that member has not earned enough [[XP Policy|Medal XP]] to justify any awards.
# Members should be evaluated for awards no less than twice a year, ideally every three months. More frequent awards may be appropriate depending on the type of award and the member’s activity.
# If a member is making reasonable, sustained progress towards a higher medal - it may be appropriate to hold off beyond the six months to a year timeframe for awarding.

=== Transfers ===
# Transfer requests are not a forum for argument or discussion. Problems with unit superiors should be addressed directly between the relevant members.
# Transfers between Clans may be held until such time that the Deputy Grand Master is satisfied with the reasons for the transfer.
# The direct recruitment of members from one unit to another with promises of medals, promotions, or other entitlements is forbidden and will result in disciplinary action. This does not include application periods for positions open to the entire Brotherhood.
# Multiple transfers between units in a short period of time, or Clan hopping, is strongly discouraged. Because of that fact, the Deputy Grand Master limits unit to unit transfers to once in a two-month period. If there are extraordinary reasons why you need to transfer, feel free to contact the Deputy Grand Master office with an explanation.
# Members accepting leadership positions in units to which they do not currently belong should first request a transfer to the appropriate unit with confirmation of the appointment given as the reason.

===Competitions===

# All competitions are expected to be judged and closed within (30) days of the end date. Competitions still open after this time will result in a warning email to the organizers.
## Suppose an organizer has an open competition that remains unjudged after 30 days. In that case, an explanation must be given for any new competition submitted by an organizer or co-organizer while the old competition remains unjudged. Without said explanation, new competitions will be denied.
## Competitions that remain open after (45) days without appropriate explanation will be judged by the appropriate member of the Dark Council or appropriate clan summit member (say: Voice of the Brotherhood for fiction, Herald for graphics, Fist of the Brotherhood for gaming-related, etc.) within (5) days and then closed by the Deputy Grand Master. The Deputy Grand Master staff will coordinate this process.
## Organizers who fail to grade their competitions within the required 45 days will not receive any credit for their competition organization.
# Competitions with valid participation are expected to place crescents accordingly, but there are always situations where no submission has met the subjective criteria for placement. Should this situation arise, the Deputy Grand Master must be notified of the status and provided with the competition runner’s reasoning.
## Subjectively graded competitions (including but not limited to: fiction, graphics, poetry, caption contests, and other forms of creative activities) should not have ties when finalized, as there is always a method of appropriately discerning placement.

## Container (also called parent) competitions should be one tier higher than their sub competitions if the container has three or more sub-competitions.
## Members of a Dark Council staff, but who aren't Dark Council members, who run club-wide competitions for their Dark Council department are expected to run crescent levels at the DC club-wide level.

# Rewards for Brotherhood activity should be fictional and restricted to the DJB website. Any real-world incentives shall comply with the [[Real World Incentive Policy]].
# Objectively graded or primarily site-graded competitions should not have co-organizers. Supervisors can be added manually if necessary, by contacting the Deputy Grand Master office.
# Acceptance of artificial intelligence-generated submissions is up to the competition organizer, and needs to be outlined in the competition details.

# Direct usage of canon or Legends Star Wars names is generally prohibited, though exceptions are made when only a first or last name is used. If you are unsure, feel free to submit the request, and the Deputy Grand Master office will work with you.

===Titles and Honourary Names===
The following titles are currently in used in the Brotherhood:
# [[Sith Lord]] - This title is granted to all Grand Masters and is retained for life. The Grand Master may also award worthy members the title after many years of service to the Brotherhood. Those awarded with the Sith Lord title are also entitled to the use of the Darth title.
# Dark Lord of the Sith - Dark Lord of the Sith is reserved for the sitting Grand Master.
# War Heroes - For excellence in the field of battle, members can be given notable titles for placing in the top three in a major vendetta. First Hero, Second Hero, and Third Hero are the titles awarded, each for their respective vendetta. Clan feuds, while a form of vendetta, are not eligible events for these titles. For example [[Dark_Crusade#Champions_of_the_War|First Hero of the Dark Crusade]].
# Legacy Titles - An unofficial title that is granted to the membership upon ascent to [[Elder]]. These titles appear on the member's dossier page but carry no official standing within Brotherhood lore, only personal.
# One with the Force - This is a unique title given to honor those members of the Dark Brotherhood that are no longer with us, as a way to commemorate their time in the club.
# Retired Titles - Kunar was a Clan Title for members of [[Clan Exar Kun]], Satal was a Clan Title for members of [[Clan Satal Keto]], and Tarentae was for members of [[Clan Tarentum]].
# Avatar of Strife - This title is awarded to those having the highest ELO gain in a quarter.
# Antei Combat Centre Titles - Combat Center Champion and Combat Center Gladius are awarded to first and second places, respectively, in some Brotherhood-wide ACC tournaments.
# Families - Families do not confer or allow any additional authority or privileges to manage units or award medals or promotions within those units. Families are not official for the purposes of the Brotherhood's systems or policies. Families exist only for roleplaying purposes and as an external sign of friendship between members. Members that choose to use the same name as an existing family are under no obligation to change their name and may not be asked to fulfill requirements to use the name by any member. If the member feels pressured to do so, they are strongly encouraged to contact the Deputy Grand Master staff, the Grand Master, Deputy Grand Master and Justicar.

===Clan Titles===
# Clan Titles - [[Clan]] titles may be awarded to members that have shown the most loyalty, dedication, or activity in their clan.
# A Clan title should only be bestowed upon a member who has served their Clan for a lengthy period of time and has demonstrated their loyalty through their actions in promoting the welfare of the Clan. There is no limit on the number of members who can receive the Clan title, but it is recommended that this achievement be difficult – but possible – for the average member to attain. The Dark Council will not impose any specific requirements for a Clan title except the general guidelines contained herein. The specific requirements are to be determined by the Clan leadership, or their designees subject to these policies.
# Procedures - Clan titles are awarded based on the exclusive set of standards and requirements that the Clan itself has promulgated subject to these policies. The Clans have the sole right to determine who will receive a Clan title. Clans may organize a system of their choosing to help decide who should receive the Clan title. Whatever the result, the Clan title award must be reported to the Deputy Grand Master only by the Consul of the Clan or the Clan Proconsul if the Consul is unavailable or is receiving the award him/herself.
# The Deputy Grand Master does not have the authority to interfere in the Clan procedure for determining the title unless accusations of unfairness and discrimination are made. In these instances, they will investigate in conjunction with the Justicar to ensure that no Clan violates the Covenant provisions. The Deputy Grand Master is also responsible for updating the master list of Clan titles on the Brotherhood’s wiki and for adding the title to the member’s dossier.
# A member who leaves the Clan to go to another Clan forfeits their title in all cases. A member who leaves the Clan to go to the rogues or removed to the rogues does not forfeit their Clan title. A member who is appointed to the Dark Council does not forfeit their Clan title.
# A Clan title can not usually be rescinded except as a result of leaving the Clan to go to another Clan or for an extreme change in circumstances. If a Clan wishes to rescind a Clan title from one of its members, it must consult with the Deputy Grand Master. The Deputy Grand Master will defer to the Clan members’ wishes as much as is reasonably possible but will also be tasked with protecting the member’s rights in question from arbitrary action. A Clan title may not be rescinded by the Deputy Grand Master without the Clan’s consent except in the case of a member departing the Clan. A Clan title may not be rescinded by the Clan except in consultation with the Deputy Grand Master.
# The Clan title shall not be automatically conferred on a Clan Consul just because they were appointed Clan Consul. A Clan Consul may not award himself the title.
# Members may not carry the same name as one of the Clan titles without having earned that title. Members who receive the title are not required to display it.
# Dark Council members who have received the Clan title may opt to retain it while serving on the Council or choose not to display it not to appear biased. Council members are free to decide how they want to proceed and shall not lose their title if they decide not to display it. The Grand Master, however, may not display a Clan title at all while they are in office though they retain the title for use in retirement.

===Restoration of Former Member Dossiers===
There are occasions in which people wish to become active members again in the [[Dark Brotherhood]], but their dossier is no longer available. A dossier may be lost under various circumstances, including deletion after the Split, failure to reply to the DB-Wide [[AWOL]] checks or database error. Unless the [[Chamber of Justice]] has acted to remove a member’s dossier for cause, or the member has requested a deletion under the auspices of the former deletion policy or [[Covenant#Section_2.02_Termination_of_Membership|Section 2.02 - Termination of Membership of the current Covenant]], all former members are entitled to have their previous rank and medals in the club restored.

A member who wants to have their dossier restored must contact the [[Grand Master]], the [[Deputy Grand Master]] and the [[Seneschal]] with a request. At the very least, the request should supply the Dark Councilors with the basic information on the dossier, such as the profile name, the profile email address, or the PIN. The Seneschal and Grand Master will search database backups for a copy of the member’s records. If the record exists, the latest version will be restored. If the record does not exist, the member will have to supply extrinsic proof to establish his dossier status. The following is a non-exhaustive list of extrinsic sources:

* Verified Emails containing an [[ID Line]]

Even when appropriately dated, proof of medals will not be assumed from the presence of those medals in the EHDB database. Members may not have their EHDB medals obtained after April 12, 2003, transferred to their DB dossiers.
The Deputy Grand Master is responsible for determining if extrinsic evidence is sufficient for proof. Upon proof of the member’s dossier possessions, the Deputy Grand Master will restore the dossier as such.

# No Emperor’s Hammer Dark Brotherhood ranks or awards are transferable to the Brotherhood except those obtained before the split (April 12, 2003). Celeste Obscura was a Sith who had worked for the Inquisitors of the Brotherhood for many years. Eventually, she earned the rank of Magistrate for the Voice when [[Masahiro Haku]] had taken over Voice. Not long after, she got promoted to Praetor of the Voice.

== History ==
=== Snatched ===

Celeste was born in a small mining village on Jabiim. The cities near by and traders always respected the miners and their families since they are the one that brings them supplies and keep the economy alive. Her parents were your normal, everyday parents; they doted on their child but not too much so she could grow up to be a successful young lady. As a baby, Celeste was decently mild-mannered. When she was a toddler, she always watched others with curious eyes. Celeste was quicker than the average child to learn how to crawl and walk because her inquisitive nature has her wanting to always be somewhere and involved. Her curiosity had gotten her injured more times than her parents can count.

At the age of six years old, she had noticed the increased tension of the townspeople in the mining village. The residents had started to hear rumors and tales of a relentless, war-crazed, and dishonorable Mandalorian clan nearby that was slowly expanding their empire, including adding slavery to their trades to increase their economy. The Mandalorian Clan was called The 31. By the time she had turned seven years old, The 31 had laid waste to the cities surrounding the mines, cutting off their trades, and slowly starved the citizens. The 31 took advantage of the town during its vulnerability and easily took over. They executed anyone who refused to work for them or had a rebellious personality. Celeste, a few other children, and adults headed back with The 31 as war trophies.

==== Life with The 31 ====
The Leader of The 31 was named Nik and he had taken Celeste and two other children, Isla, a ten-year-old human girl, and Henrik, an eight-year-old [[starwars:Mohsenian|Mohsenian]] boy. Out of the members of The 31, Nik was the cruelest and meanest of them all.

Whenever The 31 goes to battles, it was then, the slaves had time for themselves and for each other. Celeste had learned that one of the cooks knew how to use a wooden flute. Mesmerized by the tune, Celeste got the cook to teach her. Celeste used her love of knowledge and understanding patterns to study Nik and The 31 in hopes she could use it to her advantage and get herself and the others out. Sadly, Henrik died a few years after the trio's capture due to being unable to recover from Nik's beatings. Isla and Celeste had grown close.

One of Nik's favorite hobbies was going to Tatooine to watch the pits and place bets. During this time, Celeste had learned that Nik had a favorite fighter who was also a slave. His name was [[Vincent Brujah]]. Every time the fighter had won, the slaves in Nik's household would face a respite from his cruel methods.

In 18ABY, during a visit to Tatooine, Nik's favorite warrior slave was fighting a losing battle. Celeste dreaded and freaked out in fear that they were going to be targeted like Henrik was if the Pit slave were to lose. This caused her to project herself into the slave. She was shocked at seeing Vincent before her and picking up the sword. Right before the killing blow occurred, she was back to her own body. This caused extreme exhaustion and she vomited on the floor but Nik did not care because the fighter had won. Isla quickly helped Celeste clean up and recover before they were noticed. Unknown to Celeste, the Pit Slave had noticed.

At 19ABY, when Celeste was fourteen, Nik's favorite Pit fighter slave had been bought and seemingly vanished into thin air. The entire Mandalorian Clan went on a rampage at their own household and cities nearby. Several days later, as a result of them being out of control, Isla died at only seventeen years old.

Every day since then, Celeste endured so much and she became the longest living slave for Nik. Unknown to both of them, it was because the Force was keeping her alive.

Her studio resides on the top floor of the complex. When you enter, the view overlooking the city would immediately catch your attention. The ceiling also has windows. The windows are protected with privacy so no matter how much light shone from her studio, no one would be able to see the inside. The bathroom consists of a simple toilet with a sink above it and a standing shower stall. Her bed has a twin-sized mattress. The bookshelf was on the right side of the bed and had various movies. With Celeste's history of being unable to explore and watch much due to Nik, she had taken advantage of it. At the opposite wall of the bed was the desk with her technology for her to be able to do various work things or research. The window wall had a lower shelf set up and that's where Celeste was able to do some small cooking. Her fridge and various technologies were underneath the shelf.
