The Eos Holocron, sometimes simply called the Black Holocron, was a master holocron created by Justinian Khyron after the Second Great Jedi War. It has contained the knowledge and teachings of each Dark Lord of the Sith to walk the halls of the Star Chamber since his time. Some Brotherhood Historians believe that Grand Master Khyron found a long lost Sith Holocron, possibly the Dark Holocron, and after studying from it he created a palimpsest that he would later use to make the Eos Holocron. This Lost Holocron’s connection to both Dark Lord Naga Sadow and Jedi Master Odan-Urr along with the coincidences, like House Naga Sadow being founded in the same year Khyron took the Iron Throne or Grand Master Muz Ashen allowing the Acolytes of Odan-Urr to live under the shroud of the Brotherhood, are evidence it may have been the Dark Holocron that Khyron obtained. Unlike most holocrons the Eos Holocron has many Gatekeepers. Each Grand Master that has placed his knowledge or teachings into it has become a Gatekeeper for future Grand Masters to learn from. Engraved along the top of the holocron is the phrase “Ipsa scientia potestas est” meaning “Knowledge itself is power” in Aurebesh.

Physical Appearance
The Eos Holocron was forged from a rare black Adegan crystal matrix, which was unnaturally treated by Sith alchemy and sorcerous powers and forced to grow far beyond its natural limits. It is pyramidal in shape, resembling other Sith holocrons, and is adorned with a solid cap of electrum, with further strands of electrum worked up the sides of the Holocron to act as a golden framework. The design was intentionally chosen by Justinian Khyron to be a subtle reminder of the true owners of the Holocron; the black and gold trim marks the Eos Holocron as a possession of the Grand Masters of the Brotherhood. The Holocron is unnaturally heavy for its size; it weighs substantially more than a normal human being could possibly lift without the aid of the Force, due to the neuranium used in its construction. Stars and galaxies swirl across the smooth surface of the black crystal, moving with a perverse life of their own- an outward sign of the power and knowledge contained within. The overall effect gives the impression that the user is staring into a dark mirror of the galaxy, tainted and twisted by the dark knowledge encapsulated within the Holocron.

When it is being used, the Holocron's appearance changes; the stars swirling across the obsidian surface blaze brightly enough to cast a whitish-blue aura around the user. As they continue to access the Holocron, the stars leap out into the aura to surround the user with slowly drifting holographic galaxies, and the secrets of the Holocron are projected before the user's eyes.

Characteristics
Created by a combination of Krath sorcery, Sith alchemy and the technological knowledge of Justinian Khyron, the Eos Holocron exudes a palpable aura of darkness to those trained in the Dark Side, due to the intensity of the dark forces used during its creation. It is kept shielded and hidden from regular members of the Brotherhood, and is accessible only by the Grand Masters due to the corruption that this aura exudes; only the Grand Masters are strong enough in the Dark Side to handle the Holocron safely for extended periods.

The Holocron divulges information differently than most other Sith holocrons. Each Grand Master to possess the Holocron after Khyron added the distilled essence of their own knowledge to the Holocron, treating it as a repository for the most sensitive and classified information that the Brotherhood holds. As such the Holocron, unusually, contains more than one Gatekeeper- the knowledge of each Grand Master is guarded by an artifical consciousness of that particular Grand Master, who can choose whether to pass on their teachings to the current holder of the Holocron. One of the first tasks that a new Grand Master, upon assuming the role, must undertake is asserting his dominance over the gatekeepers inside the Holocron, in order to access the secret knowledge of those who came before him and better prepare himself for the challenges of becoming Grand Master.

The teachings vary according to the particular interests and ruling style of each Grand Master; current Grand Master Muz Ashen's contribution to the Eos Holocron details ruling through raw power and his own development of his powers to that end, for example, while the teachings passed down by former Grand Master Aristan Dantes focus on the advantages of stealth and secrecy and the benefits of deception.
The Black Adegan
When the Star Chamber first began to convene in secret in 14 ABY, they realised they needed to find a way to preserve their teachings for future generations. The Grand Masters scoured the archives on Eos, in search of the knowledge of how to distil their essence onto a Holocron, for the ancients Rituals of Invocation had been lost to antiquity. This, however, was only the first half of the problem, for the Grand Masters also realised they needed to acquire the necessary components, many of which required elements rarely found in the galaxy anymore, chief of which was the central crystal that would serve as the vessel for their collective knowledge. To this end, when Justinian Khyron left the Iron Throne in 15 ABY, he travelled the galaxy in search of various artifacts and relics that might be used. In a spark of luck, though possibly dark insight, he located what the Sith Lords had been searching for: a rare crystal, one unnaturally forged of black Adegan.

However, the crystal was very nearly lost when the convoy on which the Grand Master was transporting his new collection back to Eos was raided by a group of pirates from Cordona, forcing Khyron to hurry back to the Minos Cluster and rally the clans to recover the crystal from the pirates. It turned out, however, that the black Adegan had already been stolen by Clan Ar’kell, whose defiance of Khyron’s rule had been goaded by Lord Crona, the former Grand Master who Jac Cotelin had exiled from the Brotherhood years earlier. Having heard about the crystal from his spies, the Other had hoped to use it to craft his own holocron. However, the brave warriors of House Ektrosis managed to board the corvette transporting the crystal and delayed it from jumping to hyperspace for long enough to allow Khyron himself to arrive and take back the crystal from the rogue Consul who had tried to steal it.

With the crystal safely back in his hands, Khyron went about completing the holocron that the Star Chamber had long desired to imbue with their combined memory and knowledge. Installing the black Adegan inside an electrum and neuranium shell, in which it would serve as the core matrix, Khyron became the first gatekeeper of the new Eos Holocron and went about recording his understanding of the dark side and the secrets that might one day aid his successor.

A schism of power
With the Eos Holocron now complete, the Star Chamber had ensured the survival of their influence, long after their own lives expired, and the Holocron was stored in a chamber deep beneath the Dark Hall on Eos, for which it gained its name. When Khyron stepped down, he passed on the knowledge of the Holocron to Thedek, who in turn became its next gatekeeper, and so did the cycle of the Star Chamber’s continued influence continue, as had been the plan. However, after the unexpected departure of Thedek a year later and the subsequent rise of Warlord Zoraan from Clan Tarentum, the Star Chamber’s carefully lain plans began to unravel. Unwilling to listen to the wisdom of his predecessors, Lord Zoraan all but disbanded the Star Chamber and began to horde the lore and ancient knowledge which they had assembled for himself, amongst these being the Eos Holocron. Unlike the Star Chamber, Zoraan looked more to the teachings of Darth Bane, believing that it was impossible for Sith Lords to work together as "equals". As the Grand Master became more and more reclusive, hiding in his chambers and drinking deeply of the secrets of the Holocron, his private experiments and research into the Dark Side began to twist his mind and turn him insane, resulting in the uprising that led to his death.

With Zoraan’s downfall, not only was the Dark Hall itself destroyed by the Force Storm that led to his own doom, but the location of the Eos Holocron was never passed to his successor. Consequently, when Chi-Long ascended to the Iron Throne to try and repair the damage that had been done by the recent conflict, the Eos Holocron remained lost, having been secreted away by Zoraan for his eyes alone and lost beneath the rubble of the Dark Hall. In the ensuing power vacuum, Chi-Long found himself unable to call on the wisdom of his forerunners for aid, and the influence of the Star Chamber slowly began to ebb away as Grand Admiral Ronin and Clan Alvaak continued to tighten their grip. Rumours and hear-say abounded of the Holocron, and Chi-Long devoted much of his reign to trying to locate the Holocron in order to regain the wisdom and power of the Star Chamber.

The hidden star-charts
For two years, the Eos Holocron remained missing as the former Grand Masters began to lose faith in their Brotherhood’s relationship with the Emperor's Hammer. Even after Lord Firefox took up the mantle of the throne, rumours of the Holocron’s whereabouts continued to abound, with more than one foolhardy smuggler trying to pass off a counterfeit to the new Grand Master. In the end, Firefox was forced to accept there was no more to be found in the ruins of the old Dark Hall and began making plans for the Brotherhood to leave the Minos Cluster for good. His only problem, however, was that he still did not know their destination. While the Oracle had told him of the lost Antei system, neither of them knew where it was to be found.

It was in a strange stroke of luck that the answer would come when the Brotherhood found under attack from assassins that had been hired from the Bounty Hunter’s Guild. Following the interrogation of one of the denizens of the criminal underworld, the Dark Council learned the Dark Hall had been plundered in the aftermath of the Zoraan Uprising by thieves that had been hired by none other than the sire of Krenn Alvaak himself: Stephan Ronin. If Firefox had not already been convinced their alliance with the Imperial Warlord needed to end, he was now. With the clans still being targeted by assassins, Firefox used the disorder as a cover during which he sent his own agents to Aurora and had the Eos Holocron forcefully recovered from the headquarters of Clan Alvaak.

With the Holocron back in its rightful lord’s hands, Firefox realised that the Star Chamber, as it had previously been constituted, had been too blind by placing their trust only in each other. As Lords Crona and Zoraan had both proven, even a Grand Master could be corrupted by their own greed. As such, Firefox shared the existence of the Eos Holocron with the Seven, confident that they were just as, if not more, trustworthy than some of his predecessors. It was then that the unexpected happened: hidden in the Holocron’s crystal matrix, the Grand Master and his shadow council discovered a star-chart; one containing the location of Antei. With Lords Khyron and Thedek presently beyond the reach of the Brotherhood’s contacts, it remained unclear whether they or Zoraan had discovered and added the map to the Holocron, but its origin was of little consequence. Firefox and his peers finally had what they had been searching for and preparations for the Exodus moved into full gear.

Myths can be powerful
Following the Exodus, the Eos Holocron found a new home in the new Dark Hall on Antei, in what had been the temple of an ancient king. Firefox and the Seven continued to study the Holocron, trying to learn which Grand Master had stored the star-charts on the Black Adegan, but despite their best efforts to invoke the answer, the Holocron’s gatekeepers refused to answer. Nevertheless, two years passed and the Brotherhood flourished, with the Clans securing their own star systems, while the Dark Council began to excavate the lost secrets buried under Antei’s surface. But in 21 ABY, when a team of Krath archaeologists unearthed the ruins of the original Star Chamber, a plague swept through the planet, and the Brotherhood was drawn into war as the ghosts that had driven Antei’s old king mad began to do the same to the Jac Cotelin and others. Half-insane, the Deputy Grand Master revealed the existence of the Eos Holocron to those others on Antei who had been touched by the ancient corruption. In the end, Lord Firefox destroyed Okemi’s body and ended the plague, but the events forced the Grand Master to reassess the role of the Eos Holocron once more, now that its existence was public knowledge. As such, Firefox transferred the Holocron from its vault beneath the Dark Hall to the ancient Star Chamber complex, which none now dared to walk for fear that the ruins might still be haunted. However, while the Eos Holocron’s existence may have been exposed to the Brotherhood at large, Cotelin convinced Firefox that this could in fact work to their advantage, for where the Holocron had previously been nothing but a secret known only by a select few, it could instead now grow into a legend, its true nature remaining unknown to all but the Grand Masters. As a result, the Star Chamber were able to paint exactly the picture they wanted, spreading rumours about the extent of the Holocron’s knowledge themselves, thereby instilling even more fear about the extent of the powers wielded by the Grand Masters.

Lost On Antei
Sound the retreat. Initiate the Baraata Option.
Despite the precautions taken by Darth Firefox to ensure that the knowledge contained within the Holocron would not be lost in future, the onset of the Yuuzhan Vong War saw the Holocron snatched from the Brotherhood's grip once again. During the hurried retreat from Antei following Operation Second Darkness and the Yuuzhan Vong Incursion, there was no time for Darth Sarin to recover the Holocron from the vault beneath the Dark Hall in which it rested, and it remained there- locked away, hidden and inaccessible to anyone but members of the Star Chamber. During the Brotherhood's long exile from Antei, the Holocron was largely forgotten by Darth Sarin and the other Grand Masters who had congregated to formulate a battle-plan for the Reclamation of Antei; their focus lay on the more immediate problem of regaining their planet from the alien invaders and erasing the stink of their failure. For their part, the Yuuzhan Vong had little interest in recovering the Holocron; their lack of Force-sensitivity made it useless to them, and during their occupation of Antei they neither knew of the Holocron's existence nor mounted any search for it.

However, the Holocron would soon be targeted by a foe more suited to make use of it. Unbeknownst to the Brotherhood, the Epicanthix Jedi Master Omancor Crask had claimed Antei and fortified it with his army of droids after a biological weapon decimated the Yuuzhan Vong forces. Crask took up residence in the Dark Hall, claiming the Iron Throne as his own. The Jedi Master, due to his former role as a Sith Lord by the name of Darth Carnus, could sense the presence of the Holocron beneath him and devoted much of his time to locating and securing the artifact, but he was unsuccessful; the wards and sanctions placed on the Holocron by the Grand Masters of old were sufficient to keep it hidden from Crask's greed, and the entrance to the Holocron's vault was well-hidden enough to confound Crask's attempts at locating it. Crask's search for the Holocron was interrupted by the return of the Dark Brotherhood, who made planetfall on Antei and began the fight to take back their home. The Holocron forgotten, Crask concentrated his efforts on winning the battle against the Dark Brotherhood.

Rediscovery and Revelations
The damage sustained by the temples and great halls of the Brotherhood during the reclamation of Antei was substantial, and following the conclusion of the conflict and the ascension of Muz Ashen to the position of Grand Master with the death of Darth Sarin, a programme of rebuilding was high on the agenda. The Dark Hall itself had taken heavy damage during the fighting, and when the full extent of the damage was surveyed, the workers discovered a sub-chamber beneath the main hall which had been revealed by the explosions from an orbital bombardment. A featureless block of black stone stood at one end of the chamber like an altar, radiating cold and a palpable sense of malice. Upon it stood the Eos Holocron, somehow locked into the stone. Darth Ashen, as the reigning Grand Master of the Brotherhood, was able to free the Holocron from the obsidian monolith and began to study it- the secrecy surrounding the Holocron had hidden it from the most confidential records of the Brotherhood, forcing Darth Ashen to re-discover the knowledge and information catalogued within the Holocron.

During the course of his study Muz, raised and honoured as a Son of Sadow, discovered something new and surprising about the Holocron- it was in fact a palimpsest, a new Holocron created from the remains and basic structure of a pre-existing Holocron from which much of the information had been removed. The Black Adegan had been used for a much earlier holocron created by one of the Sith Lords of the Golden Age of the Sith, a fact that Darth Ashen confirmed after the articial consciousness of Naga Sadow appeared to him as another gatekeeper, recognising his Sadowan lineage even as it belittled his command of the Dark Side. This discovery makes the Holocron into an even more important part of the collected knowledge of the Brotherhood; it contains not only the teachings of many of our most celebrated Grand Masters, but also the fractured and incomplete knowledge of Sith Lords from an age long gone. Prior to the current conflict, Darth Ashen has been working with some of the most distinguished and knowledgeable scholars from the Krath order, trying to rediscover all of the secrets buried within the Holocron and to discern how those secrets might be turned to the advantage of the Brotherhood. Many of their findings are detailed below, although it is indisputable that there are greater depths to the Holocron which have yet to be uncovered.

Contents
As the lords of the Star Chamber found, the creation of a holocron is a difficult process, not least because of the rare resources required in their construction. When Lord Khyron created the Eos Holocron, his sole aim was to build a repository for the knowledge of him and his future successors. At the time, he had no further interest in the Black Adegan other than the fact it was a suitable matrix for the holocron he and his fellow Grand Masters had long been trying to build. While Lord Firefox came close to discovering the truth when he unearthed the Star Map in the Holocron’s memory core, it was not until Darth Ashen awoke the fragmented recordings from Naga Sadow that the full story of the Black Adegan became clear. Ashen realised that the crystal had, in fact, served as the core of a holocron once before, long before it had been reused by Khyron to construct the Eos Holocron. In essence, Khyron had created a palimpsest, on which he and the Grand Masters had “recorded over” the earlier recordings of Sadow, and likely his contemporaries. While the reverse engineering of holocrons has been rare, it has not been without precedent, and Ashen has entrusted his most closest scholars to try and reconstruct the lost recordings.

Contributions by the Grand Masters
While the contents of the Eos Holocron remain closely guarded, even after the Holocron's existence was made public during the events of the Sixth Great Jedi War, it is known that some of the gatekeepers' recordings have been leaked to the wider Brotherhood. Officially, the leaks have always been put down to the Brotherhood's enemies, such as Jac Cotelin's clone being blamed for some of the earliest leaks, or more recently Michael Halcyon of leaking the recordings made by Darth Sarin and Darth Ashen. However, many believe that these explanations are in fact misdirections, and that the Star Chamber themselves are responsible, with the recordings have been deliberately leaked to remind people who the true masters of the Dark Brotherhood are.
Jac Cotelin
<blockquote>"In my second term as Grand Master, the Brotherhood suffered one of the more unusual conflicts of its long and illustrious history. The clone that rose against me and brought the Clans under his wing, igniting a civil war in the heart of my Brotherhood, confirmed one thing for me. The Clans wish to think that they are independent; that they might pursue their own goals and desires without the direction and influence of the Star Chamber, that the Star Chamber is merely a relic of a bygone age and has no effect on the day-to-day operation of the Brotherhood. How wrong they are. The Star Chamber orchestrates every action that the Clans make. We guide them, sometimes lovingly and sometimes forcefully, through the motions- towards greater power and the triumph of the Dark Side over the weak-minded fools of this galaxy. Do they honestly believe that the collected power and knowledge of the Grand Masters, beings steeped in the darkest mysteries of the Force, beings to whom the universe is a mere playground... do they believe that we could not accurately predict the course of their decisions? Through the civil war, we turned the Clans against each other to wear them down, to keep them battered enough that they could not challenge the supremacy of the Star Chamber, but could still defend their own space. In the end- the Star Chamber prevailed."<br/><br/>
Firefox
<blockquote>"We Sith are not sociable creatures, fundamentally. We find it inordinately hard to trust others, and assume that it is a sign of weakness which will be pounced upon by our enemies. While I do not dispute that misplaced trust has often been the downfall of many powerful beings, allowing others to work with you can often lead to greater power for all involved. During the Exodus and the assembly of the Seven, I placed my trust in six other beings steeped in the Dark Side. All could have refused to work with me, or agreed but then stabbed me in the back amidst the confusion of our departure from the Emperor's Hammer. All could have betrayed me to Ronin for greater power for themselves. None did. They saw the long-term ramifications of the Exodus, and each man accepted that it would lead to greater power and independence for him in the future. We co-operated, and through our efforts freed the Brotherhood and ourselves from tyranny into a new age of darkness. To that end, I do not believe that our Brotherhood goes against the natural desire of the Sith to work alone and for their own goals; we all follow our own agenda, only collaborating when it is of great importance to us all. The Clans pursue their own paths to power and the Dark Jedi within those Clans have their own feuds, grudges and vendettas. We are free from outside interference through our collected power and might; free to squabble and backstab and attack each other, as the Sith always have- and always will."<br /><br />
Darth Sarin
<blockquote>"Some would argue that displaying your power means that you are insulated against threats. There is a belief that you need to posture and show others that you are a force to be reckoned with. This is not so. If you posture, you may unknowingly expose a weakness which others can then exploit. It is better by far to cloak youself in secrecy. Hiding your abilities, your plans, your motives, means that the only person who can then judge your capabilities accurately is you. The way of the Sith is rife with treachery, as we know. Keeping your own secrets is key to ensuring your survival. The longevity or lack thereof of previous occupants of the Iron Throne will show you the wisdom of these words. If you are alive, you can always strike back. You can always rebuild. Do not be afraid to retreat. Sometimes, in stealth lies the ultimate victory of the Dark Side."
Darth Ashen
<blockquote>"A warrior-sage on my homeworld once summed up the philosophy of true power in a few words relating to armed combat; 'The true Way of victory is the craft of defeating the enemy in a fight, and nothing other than this. Whatever weapons, whatever techniques you must use to achieve that goal are justified under the Way.' His words ring true for followers of our creed; to rise to prominence, you must make use of every weapon at your disposal to crush and destroy your enemies. Demoralize their spirits, destroy their will to fight and crush them into the depths, whether by blade, by the Force or by political machinations. Only then can you claim true victory and know that your failure will not come back to haunt you. Present a fearsome face to the world and you will halt many conflicts before they begin; potential enemies will reconsider an attack if they can see the full scale of the repercussions that you will levy against them. You must always cultivate strength in yourself to force obedience in others- signs of weakness will encourage the treacherous, and failing to retain tight control will empower them. In strategy, your spiritual bearing must not be any different from normal- remain calm, and wield your hatred and fury like a blade to cut through your enemies."<br /><br />
Dyrra Skye is the current Aedile of House Ludo Kressh in Clan Naga Sadow.

Character History
Dyrra was raised in an orphanage in Pelak Baw, the capital city of Haruun Kal. She never knew her family, as she was found on the doorstep of the building. The only connection she has to her past is her first name, which was found with her. Orphanage life was not easy for the young girl, then again, it wasn't easy for anyone there. The people who ran the orphanage were strict and it was the dearest hope of many of the children to be adopted and escape. When she was about thirteen, she was adopted by a couple living on the outskirts of the city. Dyrra's childhood was largely uneventful. She had a decent education and had a small circle of friends that she grew to count on.

Upon leaving school, Dyrra applied for and found herself working for security in the Pelek Baw spaceport. She liked her job initially, however as time wore on, she found herself finding it duller and duller. When her old schoolfriends suggested they could utilise her position to smuggle certain delicate items off world, Dyrra found herself agreeing in order to break the monotony.

Over time, their little operation grew and on her days off, Dyrra began to visit the deadly jungles outside the city, often in pursuit of the aforementioned 'delicate items'. It was then that Dyrra came into her own - she felt right at home in the jungles from the start and although she did not know it at the time, she shared something in common with the Korunnai who had made the jungle their home: Force sensitivity. She simply thought she was lucky - more than once she had a feeling which told her to duck at just the right moment and the scars and burns which cover her arms and legs are testament to just how close some of these calls have been.

Lucky Escape
Dyrra had no desire to leave the home planet she loved so much and probably never would have done had it not been for the Force. One day, as she was getting ready to go to work, she had a vision. It was of one of her friends talking to the authorities, telling them of the smuggling operation she was a part of. Dyrra had a sudden feeling that she needed to get off-world immediately and caught the first transport that she could, ignoring where it was going.

Finding herself on Nar Shaddaa, she checked the Holonet for news and discovered that a few hours after she had left Haruun Kal, the authorities had arrested all of her other friends. She had gotten out just in time. She began to wander the galaxy, taking odd jobs where she had to, to pay her way. In her wanderings, she searched for information about what it was that had happened to her, to no avail. Luck, or the will of the Force, led her to Kyataru.

Upon finding herself on Kyataru, Dyrra did the first thing any self respecting tourist should do: found the nearest bar. After a couple of drinks, she heard the owner complaining about needing help behind the bar and offered her services. The patrons were confused by their new bargirl. The concept of 'service with a smile' was almost as alien to her as their language was. She worked there for some time and quite enjoyed it, as it gave her the chance to beat up some drunks when they started a fight.

One day, when she was working, a skinny man entered and ordered a drink. When a bar fight began, he joined in, shortly before Dyrra vaulted the bar and began laying into the drunks. Eventually, the only 'drunk' standing was the skinny man and Dyrra turned her attentions to him, only to get a beating for her trouble. During the fight, Dyrra had attempted to call on the Force, something which had both amused and intrigued her opponent. When she was too beaten up to resist, he flung her over his shoulder and carried her off.

It was only after she was in a ship halfway to Antei that she discovered he was Manji Keibatsu, a member of the family who ruled over Kyataru. She realised she was lucky not to be in a worse predicament.

The Brotherhood
Manji brought Dyrra to the Shadow Academy’s flagship, the Arcanum for her initial training. Dyrra enjoyed her studies very much as they answered some of the fundamental questions she had always had about why the Force had deserted her when she needed it most. Now she began the arduous journey to master it. Upon leaving the Shadow Academy to further her training elsewhere, she was assigned to House Ludo Kressh in Clan Naga Sadow. She was informed on her arrival that Manji would be taking a personal interest in her training.

Unification
Dyrra had barely landed at the Marakith Skyhook, when Manji arrived ready to begin the arduous training that she would need to survive the coming months. Dyrra was expected to keep quite a pace and upon asking why, she was informed that the Brotherhood would be retaking the Antei system from the Yuuzhan Vong. Dyrra was initially quite apprehensive at the thought of risking her life for a planet she had never set foot on, nor had any connection to, but fear of her new master’s temper held her tongue in check.

She was given her armoury saber on the shuttle en route to landing on Antei and was flung into the thick of it as she attempted to defend herself from the seemingly endless onslaught of droids sent by the Jedi Master Omancor Crask. She fought hard and was rewarded mid way through the war with a field promotion to Guardian.

Dyrra saw the unthinkable during her time on Antei – she saw her master bested by a Jedi. She dragged him back to the rest of the Clan to be healed, but noticed a change in his demeanour from that day on. He was a little less arrogant and the defeat seemed to be weighing heavy on his mind for reasons he wouldn’t divulge.

Dyrra took part in the Clan-wide assault on the Hall of Immortals which saw the young girl not only fight and kill her first Jedi padawan, but also come face to face with the terrifying Darth Vexatus. She was a part of the Clan’s meld which eventually overwhelmed him. She watched with pride as her master was named a Son of Sadow, but also as the new Grand Master was announced to be a former Sadowan. For her own actions, Dyrra was chosen to be the Black Guard of Tsainetomo Keibatsu Sadow, the new Aedile and soon to be Quaestor of House Ludo Kressh. Any lingering doubts that had remained in Dyrra’s mind about where her loyalties truly lay were extinguished that day, as she truly felt herself to be a Sadowan.

Murder on San Korinar
Shortly after the Great Jedi War drew to a close, Dyrra was sent on a mission with her master to track down a former Dlarit employee who had been stealing credits for his own use. They went to San Korinar to track him down.

Fallout
After the war, the Clan returned home to find themselves under attack by the Yuuzhan Vong – an act which shook the Clan to its core. Dyrra was tasked with finding and guarding House Ludo Kressh’s new Aedile, who had been nearly killed when a bomb went off in the Dystopia nightclub. Dyrra, along with Raistlin Sadow, dug Malisane Sadow from the rubble and got him safely to a medical squad.

Dyrra was promoted to Sergeant of the Jade Serpents for this task and proceeded to lead the Seng Karash police force in a spirited defence of their headquarters, which now contained a great number of those wounded in Dystopia.

Children of War
Shortly after this, Dyrra led the Jade Serpents on their first mission together. They were assigned to a joint mission with Sapphire Squadron, to track down and execute Wyla Sarn, the woman responsible for the Yuuzhan Vong attack. Matters were complicated somewhat when Sarn was revealed to be a Yuuzhan Vong in disguise and the two battleteams tracked her back to the entrance to the mines below the city, where she was slain by Agrist, who had come to aid them. They then continued through the mines to find Sylus Vega and his Joiner bodyguard, Ghon. Dyrra dispatched Ghon, while Sai retrieved the codes they had come to find from Vega.

Shortly after this, Dyrra led her Serpents to a rendezvous with the Final Way, as the Clan went in search of the Yuuzhan Vong, who had retreated from the system. Dyrra and the Serpents took part in Operation Rancor, the deployment of a Violator Gas bomb on the Yuuzhan Vong worldship.

Some time after this, Tsainetomo stepped down as Quaestor, with Malisane taking up the position. Dyrra accepted the now vacant post of Aedile.

Appearance and Personality
Dyrra's physical appearance is best described as 'tomboyish'- she's thin and a bit gangly, with short, bright red hair. Her eyes are green and her skin is naturally fair and covered in freckles. Her arms, when you can see them, are criss crossed with scars and old, faded burns from her exploits in the Haruun Kal jungles. Dyrra is not one for formalities and only wears her robes when she must. The rest of the time, she prefers simple, comfortable clothes.

Dyrra's personality is pretty relaxed around those she knows well, but like most Darksiders, she has an extraordinarily bad temper, which clouds her judgement, often to her detriment. She has a black sense of humour and gets more sarcastic when she's worrying. Since joining the Brotherhood, she's begun to learn to bite her tongue and treat others with some respect, if only to save her own hide.

A battle team in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, serving House Ludo Kressh of Clan Naga Sadow.

History
The history of the Jade Serpents can be drawn back to before the Dark Jedi Brotherhood was founded, all the way back to 10 BBY. The history begins with a small group of mercenaries on the planet Concord Dawn. The local gangs were continually attacking a rural farming village. Whether for combat training or to please their sick and twisted humor, the village’s children did not know. All they knew was that they could not eat many nights because the evil Gang Leader Grogg, a Gammorian, charred their cropland, or that they couldn’t spend time with their fathers because he had to replant all of the lost plants.

Nevertheless, the Grogg attacks continued over the years. Even as the children of the village grew into strapping young men, the raids never ceased. The anti-Grogg sentiment in the town was strong. Finally, all of the male children had had enough. Now grown men, they bonded together and became a murderous gang. Their goal was to eliminate every one of Grogg’s gang members they saw. They became vigilantes in their hometown, and were regarded as heroes.

Over time, they transformed from the valiant defenders of their homeland into a mercenary group. The five men from a farming town became submerged into the criminal underworld, killing for hire. All they had were low-quality blaster pistols and a basic set of armor, but they soon became feared throughout Concord Dawn and its criminal groups. They were the most revered mercenaries in the entire planet, and people spoke of them as such.

One day, a young Dark Jedi was on a reconnaissance mission to Concord Dawn. While taking a break and having a drink at a small tavern, he heard the hushed whispers about the respected criminal gang. Upon returning to his home in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood, Robert Sadow reported his findings to the summit. Per his authority as Quaestor of House Ludo Kressh, he founded a battle team named after the highly feared group from Concord Dawn. He named his battle team the Night Death Phyle.

The team, as with its namesake, quickly became notorious throughout Clan Naga Sadow. Even though starting out with the basic goal of proficiency in hand to hand combat and basic weapon skills, they evolved into the best special operations unit in the clan. When Mononoke "Macron" Keibatsu-Goura became Quaestor of House Ludo Kressh he changed the name of the battle team to the Jade Serpents. This is unknown.

The Jade Serpents continue to hold up this mantle to this very day. Under the leadership of Krandon Rowella, the team is prospering and carries out the will of the Dark Council and summit of Clan Naga Sadow.

Equipment
Weapons
* <b>Rifle:</b> Imperial Heavy Repeater
* <b>Pistol:</b> Bryar Pistol
* <b>Close Quarters Combat:</b> Datadagger
** Members at or above the rank of Protector are afforded the use of a lightsaber in addition to their dagger.
* <b>Explosive:</b> Class-C Thermal Detonator

Armor
Members of the Jade Serpents are given a custom fitted set of battle armor upon joining. Made to inspire fear into the hearts of enemies, as well as to protect against a variety of threats, the armor worn by Jade Serpent marines is a force to be reckoned with.

Identity
As every new battle team leader is appointed to his position, he is given possession of a fine ring. It was designed by the Herald for use by former Tetrarch Ashia Kagan Keibatsu. A battle team leader is expected to be wearing this ring at all times, both as a sign of their office and to uphold tradition.

Upon indoctrination into the Jade Serpents, a prospective member is given a small scar on the members shoulder. The scar is very simple, the letters JS. This is used to identify a Jade Serpents member, as well as a constant reminder that when you are considered a Jade Serpent, you are and forever will be a Jade Serpent.

Trivia
* The Jade Serpents were originally House Ludo Kressh’s Krath battle team, originally being named the Night Death Phyle.
* The team was founded by Bob Sadow, who was Quaestor of House Ludo Kressh at the time.
* Tsainetomo Keibatsu Sadow is responsible for cementing the team’s identity, having created the battle team’s logo and motto.
* Due to their swift, decisive, and efficient actions when conducting maneuvers in the field, the Jade Serpents were at one time known as the “Winds of Death”.
Dyrra Skye is a member of House Ludo Kressh of Clan Naga Sadow.

It was only after she was in a ship halfway to Antei that she discovered he was Manji Keibatsu.

Appearance and Personality
Dyrra's physical appearance is best described as 'tomboyish'- she's thin and a bit gangly, with short, bright red hair. Her eyes are green and her skin is naturally fair and covered in freckles.
Introduction
The Order of the Black Guard is an elite military unit consisting of the best warriors, spies and saboteurs in all of Clan Naga Sadow. At any given time there are always seven active agents assigned to each of the seven leaders of the Clan, the Consul, Proconsul, both Quaestors, both Aediles, and the Overlord. They act as the agents of the clan summit and the shadowed hand of the clan and the Overlord.

History
My Honor is Loyalty

The Black Guard was founded by Daihok Endymiron and Shin’ichi Endymiron Keibatsu as an elite guard unit selected to serve their assigned summit member in the same way that Darth Vader served Emperor Palpatine. Acting as their iron fist and shadowed hand.

The idea struck the two Dark Jedi shortly after Daihok ascended to the position of Quaestor of House Marka Ragnos. Feeling that his position was shaky and his safety uncertain Daihok sought to have his cousin Shin’ichi, then known as Tharivol Endymiron, act as a bodyguard for the sole purpose of defending him from physical harm. As time went on Shin’ichi took it upon himself to act in a more proactive manner and began to route out conspiracies and plots against his cousin and master eventually acting upon them with deadly resolve. Soon he found himself investigating not only plots against the Quaestor of Marka Ragnos, but plots against the whole of Clan Naga Sadow. The two felt the time had come for Naga Sadow to defend itself against all threats both overt and covert.

They approached the Overlord, Consul Xanos Zorrixor, and Proconsul Trevarus with a proposition to form the Order of the Black Guard. After much debate and discussion the idea was approved and Daihok and Shin’ichi were told to seek out six more members to form the order. Thus the Order of the Black Guard was born.

Over time the order has developed into an extensive network, with many guardsmen going on to serve in various leadership roles within the clan. This is only natural considering the close relationship guardsmen have with their assigned summit leader. While only seven members are active at any one time, any previous guardsman can be called up at a moments notice to serve the will of the summit. For this reason the Black Guard know that only death will release them from their vows.

Selection and Training
Bring me the finest and first part of all you have

Only the best of Naga Sadow are selected to act as Black Guard. Through activity, skill, and observation of demonstrations of loyalty are potential members selected. Some go their whole careers in Naga Sadow without ever serving in guard.

Once a potential candidate is recruited they are sent to Sadow Palace for the first phase of training. This phase is known as “indoctrination” and consists of classroom instruction on a wide variety of topics including; procedure, interrogation, galactic law, slicing, finance, political science, etiquette, business practices, analysis, critical thinking, cross cultural studies, and special one-on-one classes on loyalty. This phase also contains light physical training and lasts one year.

At the completion of year one, candidates that pass their courses, are sent to Tarthos for their second year or phase two. This phase is known as “hardening” and consists of all manner of physical training both in enclosed gymnasiums and in the field, and field operations and skills. These courses include; small arms, heavy weapons, bladed weapons, demolitions, intense lightsaber drill, force drill, assassination technique, vehicle operations, spacecraft operations, field tactics, stealth, escape evasion and survival, surviving interrogation, intelligence gathering, counterintelligence, and other classified courses.

Upon completion of these two years of training a candidate is then ready for selection by a summit member to act as a Black Guard. Active members are frequently rotated out due to the high level of combat stress, and mortality.

Equipment
This is my saber.

The Black Guard are given access to the best weapons and equipment that Clan Naga Sadow has to offer. Beyond this each guardsman is issued their own set of specialized black armor, the schematics of which remain classified. It is rumored that they are enhanced with Sith Alchemy. They are known to employ a variety of unusual weapons, including Violator Gas.

The Active Black Guard is granted unlimited access to all records and classified documentation within the Clan databases, and is even allowed to attend Conclave.

Mark of Honor
In Darkness we are bound

The mark of the Black Guard is burned onto the flesh of all guardsmen without exception by the summit leader they are assigned to. Some employ poisoned inks in the tradition of ancient Sith Tattoos, while others use a more direct method, that of direct application via a form of force lightning. This is a final test to prove the fortitude of the guardsman in question. It is thought that if they can endure the extreme suffering at the hands of their new master, then they would be bound inexorably to them thus cementing their loyalty.
