A Battle Team in House Ludo Kressh of Clan Naga Sadow, created by Manesh Sadow.

History
The Beginning

Shortly after the great House Naga Sadow became a clan in the year 15 ABY, Grand Master Justinian Arcanious Khyron declared all Houses in the Dark Brotherhood would be order specific. House Ludo Kressh was declared to be the home for the Sith of Naga Sadow.

All of the Sith from Primus Goluud and Marka Ragnos traveled to Ullyr to report for duty, including Nova and Denarii squadrons. Upon arrival, Quaestor Manesh Sadow announced the new squadron structure of Ludo Kressh and renamed the three squadrons.
Nova squadron from House Primus Goluud was to be Emerald squadron. Denarii squadron from House Marka Ragnos was declared Diamond squadron. And Zealot squadron, the elite Sith of House Ludo Kressh, was to be Sapphire squadron.

The first year of the squadron’s history was uneventful; Jedi Hunter Kanasu was the first to be named Commander of Sapphire. His command was short lived and Jedi Hunter Xander Drax was next in line. Commander Drax was one of Ludo Kressh’s finest pilots and helped form Sapphire into the Deep Strike squadron it is today. After a short time however, he was called away due to a civil war happening on his home planet. Sapphire was left commander less for some time until a young Dark Jedi Knight decided it was time for a change.

In May of the year 16 ABY Dark Jedi Knight Scithe was named commander of Sapphire. He took the position with great enthusiasm and began to mold the squadron into what it is today. Scithe created a structure for the squadron that it had never had before. He created Flights, assigned ships, created nicknames and mottos, and even formed his own merit system to award the pilots. Assigning Jedi Hunter’s Janos Silverwulf Sadow and CrimsonAngel to Flight Leaders he helped teach these young dark jedi so they could be future leaders of Naga Sadow. Commander Scithe did such a good job that when Aedile Darth Vexatus was promoted to Quaestor of House Ludo Kressh the only chose for the open Aedile position was Dark Jedi Knight Scithe.

The Uncensored Time

The next few years of Sapphire Squadron are looked upon highly to some while others like to push these years under the rug and forget about them. No matter what your opinions are of the events, the fact remains these things really did happen.

Next to be named Commander of Sapphire was a Flight Leader from Diamond Squadron named Robert Daragon. Commander Daragon quickly filled the open positions in the squadron with new members including Malik, Carl Lost, Karimicus, and Neo. These members, along with Flight Leaders Silverwulf and CrimsonAngel, would make sure House Ludo Kressh was never the same again.

Sapphire began to separate itself from Emerald and Diamond as the elite Sith of Ludo Kressh. The squadron led in the conflict with House Oriens Obscurum of Clan Arcona which resulted in a Ludo Kressh victory. Half of Ruby Squadron, the elite members of the house, was made up of Sapphire pilots. Not to mention the comradery that existed among the members of the squadron, it was truly the golden age of Sapphire, until a simple squadron mascot changed everything.

It started out as a simple joyride in one of Ruby squadron’s Phalanx Gunboats that lasted a little two long and ended up bringing back extra company. Commander Daragon “borrowed” CrimsonAngel’s gunboat and went on a gambling/drinking trip. Not remembering too much about the journey he was welcomed back by most of the Clan’s Summit. Upon his very noble attempt to explain where he was a passenger was noticed in the gunboat. It seemed the commander had won a seal in a sabacc game and it was to be the new mascot of Sapphire. That seals name was Fred.

That one event set of a chain reaction that made the other members of Ludo Kressh very afraid of any encounter with a member of Sapphire. CrimsonAngel began to have an obsession with vodka and hotpants. Neo, who would only answer to Eddie the Ewok, had the entire Kressh Fortress ventilation shafts mapped out and it was his only mode of transportation. Malik began planning to build a hut for himself on the moon of Ullyr. Carl Lost was continually confused by the new Sapphire Lost and Found department. Karimicus began to babble incoherently (although we think this just might have been normal for him). The rumors of the hookup between Commander Daragon and Fred were the hottest topic in Ludo Kressh. And the main objective for every member of Sapphire was to somehow annoy Quaestor Darth Vexatus.

Quaestor Darth Vexatus took most of the abuse from Sapphire squadron, from being nominated for Ms. EH to them cooking up and eating his pet vornskr. The Quaestor was the first suspected when Commander Daragon went missing. The first couple of weeks no one realized he was gone and he was prone to go a drinking binges. But after a month the rumors began to start, first it was the Quaestor had got tired and had him killed, and then it was a lover’s quarrel with Fred. Three months went by and no one knew the whereabouts of Robert Daragon. With a missing in action commander, Quaestor Vexatus was forced to find a new one and he didn’t have to look very far.

Longtime Sapphire member Jedi Hunter CrimsonAngel was appointed to replace the missing Robert Daragon. CrimsonAngel quickly named Neo as the new guardian of Fred the seal as he was still the prime suspect in the former commander’s disappearance. This decision would start to turn the members of Sapphire against each other.

The more time Neo and Fred spent together the closer they got and soon became a couple. However, little did Neo know that Fred was sneaking around behind his back with Janos Silverwulf. Janos soon became tired of being the “other women” and wanted Fred to dump Neo and marry him, but before Fred could decide his original master Robert Daragon returned from his leave of absence. When Neo found out that Fred had been cheating on him he was devastated and demanded that Fred choose once and for all who he was going to be with. Fred chose Neo.

Neo was so delighted he immediately asked Fred to marry him and Fred accepted. Robert Daragon couldn’t take the pain of not being chosen and left Sapphire to House Marka Ragnos. Janos Silverwulf began to drink himself into oblivion because of the rejection. The demise of Sapphire squadron had begun.

All of Clan Naga Sadow was eagerly anticipating the wedding of Neo and Fred. The invitations had gone out and the great hall of Sadow Palace was reserved. Neo had chosen CrimsonAngel as his best man while Fred had chosen Quaestor Vexatus as his bridesmaid. Robert Daragon, now a Krath Priest was to perform the ceremony. Everything was going great, than tragedy struck.

While Fred was trying on wedding dresses Consul Shan Long stormed into the room with a group of men with large guns and strange accents. Shan Long plucked Bob the goldfish out of his bowl and swallowed him in one gulp. With a snap of his fingers shots rang out and the smoking carcass of Fred fell to the floor. The Consul had all he could take of Fred the seal.

A full investigation was ordered by Commander CrimsonAngel on the death of their mascot, widower Neo was devastated at his loss. Upon investigation it turned out it was not Fred at all, but Janos Silverwulf in a seal costume and dress that was shot. Than a ransom note showed up at Kressh Fortress from Robert Daragon stating that if they ever wanted to see Fred again they would pay for his rather large bar tab he had accumulated. It appeared the entire Shan Long attack had been a cover for Daragon to kidnap Fred and take him to the planet Loki. Commander CrimsonAngel was furious and refused to pay the ransom, Sapphire would get Fred back and Robert Daragon would pay.

The members of Sapphire squadron teamed up with Emerald squadron, which now had former Sapphire pilot Malik as its commander, and headed towards the home of House Marka Ragnos on Loki. Successfully infiltrating the Cathedral the pilots all went their separate ways to locate their kidnapped friend. Sapphire pilot Abel Malik managed to urinate in the Cathedral’s water system while Neo and CrimsonAngel defeated Robert Daragon locking him up in pink furry handcuffs and rescuing Fred from the clutches of the Krath. Fred was back in Sapphire and together again with his true love Neo; the wedding would take place as planned. Robert Daragon was officially charged by the Quaestor Vexatus of seal abuse and was sentenced to ten days in a locked room with ten gungans.

The next few months saw lots of drinking, gambling, and one Ludo Kressh marriage. Commander CrimsonAngel decided he was bored and when a Sapphire commander is bored something happens to the Ludo Kressh Quaestor. CrimsonAngel stole the Quaestor’s personal shuttle, and decided Vexatus needed a wife. Upon CrimsonAngels return, he had a wife on board for the Quaestor and decided that he needed to make it all official, so he called up the one person he knew that would help out in this kind of
situation. Still wanting to get a little revenge for the seal abuse conviction, Robert Daragon was more than willing to assist the commander. Together they both set to work, preparing the Quaestor’s wedding ceremony. Flowers, Vodka, Cake, it was all ready to
be used in the celebration. While Quaestor Vexatus sleep, CrimsonAngel and Robert Daragon escorted the Quaestor’s new wife to his room. Laying his new wife next to him, they gathered all of House Ludo Kressh to witness the occasion. Every thing was ready, CrimsonAngel had the camera, and Krath Priest Robert Daragon spoke the final words as Vexatus awoke; "I now announce you Man and Hutt. You may now kiss the Hutt."

With one wedding out of the way the members of Sapphire eagerly awaited what would surely be the party of all parties; the Neo Fred wedding. Just weeks prior to the date, Neo was appointed the new Aedile of House Marka Ragnos along with the rank of Dark Jedi Knight. Neo was ecstatic, not only was he getting married and a new position, but he would finally get to build his own lightsaber. However, before any of this could happen, tragedy struck. In September of the year 17 ABY, Dark Jedi Knight Neo in route to his new home in House Marka Ragnos was killed in a shuttle accident. The entire Clan mourned the loss of one of the truly remarkable members to ever grace its halls. Fred the seal went into recluse and the partying in Sapphire came to a halt, but after some time passed Commander CrimsonAngel regrouped Sapphire and they once again began to drink into stupors as the late Neo undoubtedly would have wanted it.

The next few months Sapphire squadron was busy with many operations. A Dark Brotherhood Vendetta, the Quest, took place; along with Operation Blackhammer and the Orbs of Power. Then, there was the Pregnancy Mystery League. Former Consul of Clan Naga Sadow Shan Long’s wife was pregnant and the entire clan wanted an explanation as it was obvious Shan Long could not be responsible for it. The members of Sapphire and Diamond squadrons united to find the answers to this mystery. They staked out the Dark Hall watching the Long’s quarters for weeks until at last they caught someone trying to sneak in. The intruder turned out to be Fred the seal. He had turned to the former Consul in his time of grief and revealed that he was the father of Shan Long’s baby. But that was only half of the story as it was not Shan Long’s wife who was impregnated but Shan Long himself. After the Shan Long event Fred the seal was sent back to Sapphire squadron and forbidden ever to set foot near the Dark Hall ever again by the Dark Council. Commander CrimsonAngel quickly appointed Abel Malik as the new guardian for Fred.

The next few months were anarchy as usual in House Ludo Kressh. Sapphire and Diamond squadrons squared off in the Kings of Tomorrow competition with Sapphire being victorious. Abel Malik proved to be no match for Fred and the seal caused numerous disruptions among House Ludo Kressh. And than Quaestor Darth Vexatus was promoted to the Clan Summit thus causing a leadership chain reaction in Ludo Kressh with Scithe becoming Quaestor and Commander CrimsonAngel becoming Aedile. There was only one logical choice to replace CrimsonAngel, a long long member of Sapphire; Janos Silverwulf Sadow.

The Fourth Age of Sapphire

Commander Silverwulf had lived through the times of glory and his reign as commander would be a difficult one. With most of his fellow pilots from the past moving on, CrimsonAngel as Aedile, Robert Daragon as commander of Diamond, DarkMage as commander of Emerald; Sapphire fell from its days of glory. The squadron was beaten in a rematch against Diamond squadron and than Abel Malik left Sapphire and Fred to join Darkmage in Emerald. And than House Ludo Kressh went silent, Robert Daragon was named the Quaestor of House Primus Goluud going with him were CrimsonAngel and Fred the seal to lead the new Dark Element battleteam. Darkmage and Abel Malik left the clan entirely leaving Commander Silverwulf and Carl Lost as the last remaining members of a lost era. Janos took the title as the Last Drunken Commander.

After over eight months of struggling to keep Sapphire alive while the likes of Emerald squadron got closed, Commander Silverwulf stepped down from his position but remained in Sapphire. Replacing him was an unfamiliar to Sapphire, Sith Warrior Crix Madine. Commander Madine would not even last two weeks in Sapphire before he left leaving Sapphire once again without a commander.

The Return of Bob

Returning from slumming it with the Obelisk of Naga Sadow, Robert Daragon once again took charge of Sapphire. Naming his old friends, Carl Lost and Janos Silverwulf as the Flight Leaders and returning Fred the seal to his rightful place as squadron mascot, the heart of Sapphire slowly began to beat once again.

With the strong leaders of Sapphire working together they quickly began to move in the right direction with the help of newer members Uther and Konus Auryus Sadou. A rematch was organized against Diamond squadron to avenge Sapphire’s last defeat and the squadron did just that by defeating their rival. Than a Great Jedi War broke out and Sapphire was called to active duty. However during the War, Quaestor Scithe resigned from his long reign as leader of Ludo Kressh and Commander Robert Daragon was called away to replace him. Taking over as commander of Sapphire was long time member Carl Lost.

Commander Lost’s reign was a short one as soon after he took command the great Exodus from the Emperor’s Hammer Strike Fleet took place. Carl Lost was a dedicated member of the Emperor’s Hammer Tie Corps and stayed behind with some members while other members of Sapphire packed up and left with Clan Naga Sadow to the Orian System.

A New Era

It took a month for Sapphire squadron to reorganize in the Orian system. Quaestor Malik, the new leader of House Ludo Kressh, appointed Konus Auryus Sadou as the new commander of Sapphire. Commander Sadou led through a very difficult time in the Sith Order. Many of the Sith remained behind in the Exodus leaving House Ludo Kressh with very little manpower. When Quaestor Malik was promoted to Proconsul and Commander Sadou resigned, newly appointed leader of Ludo Kressh Manesh Sadow was forced to close the squadron he had originally created. Sapphire Squadron was out of business. For nine months the Sapphire hangar remained empty, until in April of the year 21 ABY a familiar face returned to Ludo Kressh and brought with him the ways of old.

Robert Daragon returned to Ludo Kressh and found his old stomping grounds were all closed up, so with the permission of Quaestor Manesh he reopened the once mighty squadron. Commander Daragon’s first task was to get some members in the empty squadron, which he quickly did with the help of some old faces of Naga Sadow. Out of semi retirement came Jonuss Rai Sadow, Scithe, and Konus Sadou and together they helped the squadron slowly return to the ways of old. After a short time Commander Daragon was promoted to Quaestor of House Primus Goluud and Konar Sadou took over for his second term as Commander of Sapphire.

Commander Sadou led the squadron through another Great Jedi War which Sapphire really didn’t have much of a factor in. To try to spark up moral, Konar assigned a new squadron mascot, Rory the blue kangaroo. But sadly after only two days Rory was killed in a tragic landspeeder accident. The death of Rory was very difficult for Commander Sadou and soon they grief was too much and he stepped down as commander. Taking his place in a game of musical chairs was once again Robert Daragon fresh off his time from leading the Obelisk of Naga Sadow.

The new Quaestor of Ludo Kressh, Jonuss Rai Sadow, put much more focus on the battleteams than his predecessor helping Sapphire regain its old prestige. New members began to join Sapphire and make instant impacts. One such individual was Macron Goura who in no time was awarded with a Flight Leader position. Sapphire helped the Clan in the next Krath of Supremacy even though it went against all of the instincts to take part in a Krath event. There were the usual Sapphire parties of legend, one that saw the demise of Steve the baboon but then the Coconut Monkey Revolt happened. When Quaestor Jonuss Rai decided to step down as leader of Ludo Kressh, his life partner named Coconut Monkey was not happy with the decision. He became irate and began to try to take total control over Ludo Kressh. If not for the brave heroics of Sapphire squadron he might have succeeded and the house would not be the same as it is today. For leading Sapphire in the house’s time of need, Consul Malik Sadow appointed Commander Robert Daragon the new Quaestor of House Ludo Kressh.

In the next week Quaestor Daragon made some small changes in Ludo Kressh. He closed down the inactive Diamond squadron and appointed Diamond’s commander, Erlandil Valenthort, as the new commander of Sapphire. The format of the battleteams in Ludo Kressh changed also as they were no longer multi-order and Sapphire was once again a Sith only squadron. The Clan Summit created the Khar Shian Task Force and House Ludo Kressh was to lead the navy portion of this. The members of Ludo Kressh left their meager home on Dentavii and took their places on various ships of Clan Naga Sadow. Sapphire squadron was assigned to the flagship of the fleet: Strike Cruiser Wandering Soul. Commander Valenthort spent most of his days of seeking adventure instead of leading the squadron, so after a few weeks Quaestor Daragon was forced to remove him as commander. It was a easy decision for whom should take the reigns as the next commander as a young dark jedi had proven himself time and time again that he had earned the chance to lead Sapphire, so Mononoke “Macron” Keibatsu-Goura was appointed the next commander of Sapphire.

Sapphire squadron continued to elevate among the elite of Naga Sadow with the guidance of Commander Macron. Former commander Konar returned and took the position of Flight Two Leader and together with Flight Three Leader Maximus Raidoner Mandalore the squadron took part in numerous operations. When the Aedile of Ludo Kressh stepped down, Quaestor Daragon appointed the proven Commander Macron to the position.

The next in line for the coveted position of Sapphire Commander was Revenant “Caligula” Mandalore. Commander Revenant led Sapphire through battle after battle including spearheading the attack on Korind, a small country on the sun side of Antei, which paved the way for the Grand Master’s invasion force. After a short time Revenant stepped down as Commander of Sapphire and the person to fill his position was to be decided after the True Brotherhood incident. Quaestor Xia Long watched to see how the members of Ludo Kressh handled the events looking for the leadership qualities it took to lead a battlteam. Draken-Korin “Ylith” Elariel Atema proved him self capable and was appointed Sapphire commander. Due to the True Brotherhood incident the Iron Fist brigade was closed and that left the house with only two battleteams. It was decided that the teams would once again be multi-order and Obelisk and Krath were allowed to be members of Sapphire squadron.

Commander Ylith continued the strong tradition of Sapphire and assisted Ludo Kressh in thrashing anyone who dared to face its wrath. During this time House Ludo Kressh began to make its new home on Aeotheran and Sapphire adapted to its new surroundings. Soon Ylith’s ability to lead got him noticed and he was appointed as Aedile of House Marka Ragnos.

The Return of the Drunk

It took very little time of Quaestor Malisane to find a replacement because as soon as the job was vacant he had a smelly old drunk sitting in his office refusing to leave until the decision was official. After a week, which made the man even more smellier, Malisane appointed Robert Daragon commander of Sapphire Squadron.

…..and the drunk was once again in charge.

Kaelin is a carefree individual. He is loyal to a fault, but only to those he deems loyal. Most see him as a clown, and say he has his head stuck in the clouds. All who know him, though, see him as something quite different.

Character History
His family, believed to be refugees from Iridonia, lived in Nar Shadaa. Kaelin Ring was forced to work with one of the less powerful gangs. His first jobs for them were mainly petty theft. During one of these jobs, around Kaelin’s 16th birthday, he was cornered by rival gang members. In the brawl that ensued, Kaelin discovered his aptitude for battle. Soon, the gang was using him for assassinations, collections, and minor disputes. As his ability increased, he became their chief sweeper. During that time Kaelin doted on his family, making them one of the richest families in the gang.

Soon enough, though, rival gangs learned of his weakness. Striving to protect his family, Kaelin took on several smaller gangs. But to no avail, soon one of the larger syndicates wiped out his family. In his grief, Kaelin killed many people. His own gang, fearing his abilities, tried to have him killed. They were all slaughtered. Finally, Kaelin tracked down the one he thought responsible for his family’s death. Using the money he saved over the years, Kaelin followed the man across the galaxy. He finally caught up with the man on the planet Korriban. Little did he know, the man was a Krath Priest by the name of Octavion. Without thinking, the Zabrak attacked the force user and was nearly killed. Octavion kept him alive, and enrolled him in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. There, under the Krath’s guidance, Kaelin excelled. As an apprentice to Octavion, then the Aedile of Oriens Obscurum, the Zabrak rose to the rank of Guardian in very little time. After that, Octavian disappeared and Kaelin struggled on alone. He was given his own Battle Team and became part of the most prestigious faction of Arcona, the Legion of Boral. Kaelin then disappeared for almost a year after that. Most assumed he had gone to obtain vengeance for his family. He never spoke of it, though. He returned to take part in the Great Jedi War and helped his Clan marginally. After the Great Jedi war, he transferred to Clan Naga Sadow and became Macron Mononoke-Keibatsu’s apprentice. From there he became the Black Guard for his Quaestor and began his Dark Jedi Knight trials.
DJB Facts
Positions Held
Kaelin was the Commander of the Dark Phoenix Squadron in Arcona, House Oriens Obscurum for some months before going Rogue on a mission of importance for himself. He is now the Black Guard for Malisane, Quaestor of House Ludo Kressh.
Outstanding Achievements
He obtained two dark crosses in his stay with Clan Arcona before he had even reached Jedi Hunter. He also was part of the most recent Great Jedi War, Independence Games, and the Obelisk Rights of Supremacy.

The Xylers are a family in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood.

The History
The First of Many
Millennia ago, it is said that a Mercenary within the ranks of the Black Brigade under the leadership of Cyris Oscura had come across an isolated planet not yet known by a name. Located deep within the far reaches of the outer rim, the planet itself was only one of four within the same star system. Distant from any hyperspace route major or minor it was in the mercenary’s eyes a perfect place to settle down and lead his own life. Known as Avarus Montacue by the Brigadiers, the mercenary along with help from the Black Brigade caught and enslaved thousands upon thousands of sentients to settle the planet of his choosing.

In memory of his deceased wife Avarus named the system and his preferred planet Mantessa. Within a year and the deaths of nearly 1000 slaves, Avarus’ citadel was created. With its back against the face of a cliff and surrounded by the Isu'pang Jungle, Avarus christened the building Gothengromer. Immediately after the castle was created, Avarus had the slave encampment razed to the ground and the slaves moved farther away from Gothengromer. An effort to create his own personal army and to start the population of Mantessa.

Once his dreams of his own personal headquarters was realized he forsaked his past and donned a new identity. Avarus Montacue Xyler, Count of Gothengromer.

The Eleventh of a Fractured History
Little else is known of the Xyler Dynasty. What is known is that the 11th Count of Gothengromer was the deranged Morkan Creon Xyler. Considered the more sadistic and brutal of all Xylers to bear the title of Count of Gothengromer. Not without loyalty to the family, Morkan was said to have an obsessive streak when it came to protecting not only the family but the family assets as well.

With the obsessive need to protect the family Morkan had a grand throne room created in which he could control every aspect security needed to protect his family, it was fitted with communications gear, an armory and equipment to create imaginative interrogations. A top notch torture chamber if you will. The only luxury that seemed to be lacking within the throne room was decoration. As it was the only apparatuses that adorned the wall were hanging chains amongst other torture devices.

The creation of this grand throne room was rumored to have cost nearly half of the Family’s credits.

A Sith Amongst the Wolves
Sith Lord Sharkelli Fangoru Xyler was a Count of Gothengromer though which one he was to be exact is unknown. Like that of the 11th Count, Sharkelli was a sadistic man and could only be recognized as unique and different from Morkan in that he had lost his mind. While a Count of cruel and cunning thought Morkan was, Sharkelli was a man of no thought at all.

Rumors abound that Sharkelli was a Count of earlier times, having placed his mark upon the family before Morkan was even a thought. If it were true, then it implies that Morkan had set out to live up to the likes of his predecessor and had succeeded while at the same time taking the cruelty up another notch.

Another rumor states that Sharkelli ruled centuries after Morkan. This rumor would imply that Sharkelli was in fact the one that had seeked to live up to the image of his predecessor. The attempt was not successful even though Sharkelli had left an incredible legacy it would not be enough to secede Morkan. Reminders of the Sith Lord’s legacy include a statue of his likeness located within the northern part of Isu’pang Jungle near Castle Gothengromer. Along with the statue, Sharkelli had placed a Dark Side Curse upon the jungle. Having already served as a natural line of defense, Isu’pang Jungle became a living nightmare, deterring all those who were not family from entering the grounds of Castle Gothengromer.

The exact time of existence of the crazed Sith Lord no longer matters in the history of the Xyler Dynasty. What little significance that can be gleaned from this information is that at one time in its history, the Xyler Dynasty was indeed ruled by that of a force adept.

A Forgotten Past
Virtually nothing else is known of the Xyler Dynasty after the 11th Count or if you may the demented Sith Lord Sharkelli. Through much research nothing can be found of the Xyler Dynasty until times recently passed. It seems as though the family itself had disappeared from existence, lingering for much of eternity in the depths of shadows thriving in secrecy.

How the family thrived is unknown and how the population of Mantessa continued to survive through the ages is an even greater mystery. Much of the information of the Xyler Dynasty can be gleaned from the two most recent Counts in the Dynasty. Both the 26th and the 27th Counts ruled the family and are followers of the Dark Side of the Force. The two Counts also have a shared history within the Brotherhood of Dark Jedi, an organization that is led by the Grand Master Jac Cotelin. Both Counts also have resided within the halls of the Clan Arcona which is now located within the Dajorra System within Brotherhood space.

The 26th of the Dynasty
Deputy Combat Emeritus Arcturus Gadeskin Xyler ruled the family as the 26th Count of Gothengromer. A Sith Battle Master within the ranks of the Dark Jedi, Arcturus was a giant of a person who had blood of both human and an alien species running through his veins.

Not all his time within the Brotherhood was spent in the halls of Clan Arcona. At one time he resided within the halls of Clan Scholae Palatinae. It was here that he had met his adopted son Ktulu Mizheray. Both had spent their journeymen years within the halls of Clan Scholae Palatinae in the house of Acclivis Draco.

Arcturus’ reign as the Count of Gothengromer was hard path that nearly ended with his death as a result of an assassination attempt.

A Rift between Loyalties
The Brotherhood had erupted into Civil War and had split into two clear groups. A large part of the Brotherhood had grown irritated by the ministrations of the Executive Officer and the Fleet Commander of the Emperor’s Hammer Directorate and had requested sovereignty from the Directorate.

Feeling threatened by the sudden loss of power, Executive Officer Ronin had declared the discordant members of the Brotherhood enemies of the state. By doing so Ronin had declared a self-fulfilling prophecy. Enraged by his actions the larger half of the Brotherhood, tired of the power games the Fleet Commander continued to play declared war on those loyal to the Directorate as well as the Directorate itself.

A lone nerf amidst a herd of stampeding nerfs, Arcturus was at a loss of which loyalty he held closest to him. In one direction he could have followed his house and stayed with the rest of Clan Scholae Palatinae as a follower of the Directorate. In the other direction, his friends and those he held as close to him as possible as a Dark Jedi could. It was his selfishness that chose his path for him in the end. Choosing to follow the path of his friends, Arcturus picked up the banner of ‘The Seven” a small group of Dark Jedi who had wanted sovereignty for the Brotherhood. In his wake, a lowly Jedi Hunter followed. An orphan by the name of Ktulu Mizheray followed Arcturus. Together they made their way to Clan Arconan space and had met with an old time friend and former Quaestor Mejas Doto.

It was during the Exodus that Arcturus had adopted Ktulu and taught him the ways of the Dynasty. Along with the teachings of the family history, Arcturus taught Ktulu how to hold his own on the battlefield that was known as the Universe. Together as father and son, the two engrossed themselves in the growth of the family and their ability to control the force.

An Argument Blown out of Proportion
After a year of celebrating the Sovereignty from the EH Directorate, Arcturus and Ktulu found themselves in another battle, one that meant their very survival, as individuals and as a family. Within the Halls of Clan Arcona, after taking a leadership position within a house of Arcona, Arcturus found himself at ends with the Consul of Clan Arcona, Vassan Rokir. What should have been a simple disagreement between comrades had erupted into a feudal war between families.

The feud though short in duration had a devastating affect upon both families. Once large in numbers both families saw their numbers cut down in size. The feud had left both families totaling less then half a dozen members.

A Foiled Attempt
During a respite in the fighting, Consul and Rokir Patriarch Vassan saw in front of him the making of a mutiny against his rule as Consul. His own personal vendetta against the Xyler Dynasty had taken his concentration off of his duties as Consul. In a gambit to reassert a firm rule over the clan, Vassan had Arcturus targeted for assassination.

The attempt failed at terminating the life of the Xyler Patriarch. However it had sent a clear message to the clan and the Xylers as well. Vassan was willing and able to do anything necessary to continue his reign as Consul.

Self Imposed Exile and the Rise of a New Count
After the attempt on his life and positive it would not be the last one, Arcturus left Brotherhood Space. Embarking on a self imposed exile the 26th Count of Gothengromer cut all ties with the Brotherhood and shed his identity. After the dust had settled surrounding the assassination attempt Arcturus contacted his son Ktulu. Via transmission Arcturus informed Ktulu that he was to be Patriarch and 27th Count of Gothengromer.

Ktulu would become the latest in a line of counts that ruled over the Dynasty ensuring its survival through the ages.

Reigning in the Dogs of War
Ktulu Mizheray Xyler, 27th Count of Gothengromer found himself in a predicament. The latest to rule over the Dynasty and the last of the family. Although both families were ravaged in the feud, the Rokirs had the upper hand. The lone member of a dying Dynasty, Ktulu faced only three members of the Rokir family. The three were incidentally the most powerful of the Rokirs. All adept in the ways of the force, the lowest ranked member still outranked the Xyler Patriarch who was a lowly Priest.

Considering the options available to him, Ktulu arranged a meeting with the Rokir family. Running the risk of losing his life as he faced the Rokirs in the same room, Ktulu called for a truce. He stated that the feud had started with and was between Vassan and Arcturus, not the families as a whole. It was a ploy that had most likely saved the young Priests life.

After conducting the meeting, Ktulu followed in his fathers’ footsteps and went into seclusion. Only he had stayed within the halls of Clan Arcona and maintained an out of sight status. Faced with being the lone member of his family, Ktulu bade his time and watched as his foes dwindled in numbers so that only the Elder Halcyon remained before resurfacing in the halls of Arcona.

Rebirth of a Dying Dynasty
With a renewed sense or purpose, Ktulu once more began his mission of reviving the Xyler Dynasty. With no clear idea of how to fulfill his plans, Ktulu made his way to Mantessa taking stock of what was available to him in terms of resources. With a grim outlook Ktulu looked back to the Brotherhood and adopted the then Galerian Quaestor Quejo Bandon and gave to him the status of brother.

Once he had secured relations with the Sith, Ktulu looked upon the descendants of the slave encampment that had built Castle Gothengromer and the surrounding settlements. Low on hardware and funds, Ktulu had decided on the course of action that he would take to revive the once great Dynasty, piracy.

When plans were laid out to carry out raids on unsuspecting merchant ships and other hapless spacefarers Ktulu was contacted by his brother Quejo. The Sith had found another Sith that he found to be good enough to join the ranks of the family. It was the seductress known as Devani Maharet. Soon after inducting the young seductress into the ranks of the Xyler Dynasty, Ktulu informed the new members of his plans and gave them the rank of captain so that they could personally over see a particular set of operations.

Not long after Devani had joined did Quejo take it upon himself to scout out more talent to join the family. Warhunter Arawn another Sith joined the ranks of captaincy and Xyler Dynasty alike.

Discordant Feelings
On the Brotherhood Front, Quejo had risen through the ranks to become the Pro Consul of Clan Arcona. During his short reign as Pro Consul Quejo encountered many irate members of the clan who found faults with his position as Pro Consul. Ignoring the stabbing jibes and insults thrown his way, Quejo continued on serving the clan as best he could. Once word reached his ears that influential members of the clan were pressing for his removal from office Quejo stepped down as Pro Consul.

Almost immediately his old position was filled by the Koskian d’Tana Arconae. Long time member of the clan and patriarch of the d’Tana Family. Just as fast as the position of Pro Consul was filled did Quejo find himself at ends with the new Pro Consul. As tensions mounted between the two Quejo turned his back on his clan and left. In his wake Devani and Warhunter followed him to Clan Plagieus.

Surprised at the actions taken by his brother, Ktulu opted to stay within the halls of Clan Arcona. However soon after the departure of his family members Ktulu found himself to be at odds with the d’Tana at every opportunity.

Drums of War in the Distance
With tensions mounting ever more with the d’Tana family and increased hostility towards the Keibatsu family of Clan Naga Sadow, the members of the Xyler Dynasty are finding themselves coming ever closer to an encounter that will spark a feud with both families. Ever thoughtful of the future and what the consequences of a feud will bring to his family, Ktulu finds himself thirsting for blood as his Blood Lust continues to grow for the taste of Keibatsu blood.

The Dynasty
Rebuilding the Dynasty
In an effort to rebuild the Dynasty, the 27th Count of Gothengromer has made the choice to resort to piracy as a means to rebuild the arsenal and wealth of the family. Unchallenged by the rest of his family in the direction he wants to take his family Ktulu granted his family the rank of Captain. Each member to oversee certain operations and report back to him on their progress. Along with piracy Ktulu has allowed his family to run weapons, drugs and other ‘services’ that are needed in the seedy parts of the galaxy.

The Xylers are a family in the Dark Jedi Brotherhood.

Journal Entry: #247
At the behest of my brother Quejo, who is also my Quaestor, I am attempting to create a written history of our family. A task made difficult as the family history was passed on orally and was never written in a journal, whether it be electronic or a piece of flimsi-plast. What makes this difficult task all the more difficult was that my father, the 26th Count of Gothengromer had never passed much if any of the family history on to me. I was not accustomed to the history of our great family, nor did I have a fancy for it. At the time that I had become Xyler, it was during a critical time of both Arcturus’ life and myself.

It was during the Exodus when my father adopted me. The Brotherhood as a whole had departed Emperor’s Hammer Directorate Territory and left for what we now call home in the Antei System. I had lost an arm in during the Exodus, but had gained a family. Arc had taught me the ways of the family and what it meant to be a Xyler.

When I was asked for this information, I had no clue where I should start. Curiously enough, most of the information I was able to get a hold of was within a fingertips reach for me. I had not even left Arcona space and I found it. Stored within the databanks of the Antei Combat Centre was information about the family and some of the possessions that I as a Xyler was able to lay claim to.

Below I shall make Xyler history and be one of if not the first to pass on the history of our family by means of a hard copy.

The Xyler dynasty was created on the planet of Mantessa. A planet that is located in the far reach of the Outer Rim. Situated distantly from any major or minor hyperspace route, Mantessa was an isolated planet in a system of four planets by the same name. Seemingly untouched by humanity or any other species, Mantessa was a well of life and unabated vegetation.

Millennia ago, Avarus Montacue Xyler, a mercenary with Cyris Oscura's Black Brigade thousands of years ago had come upon the planet and had named it in memory of his deceased wife. At the time known only as Avarus Montacue by those in the Black Brigade. Only after finding the place and forsaking his past did Avarus create the Xyler family. Having taken with him a sizable portion of the Black Brigade, Avarus had the man power to create his own haven, one where his new family, the Xyler’s would be able to flourish and live without fear of retribution from anyone.

With the aid of the Black Brigade troops, Avarus had enslaved an army’s worth of sentients from neighbouring systems and began work on the fortress he would later name Gothengromer. After nearly a standard years worth of work and nearly a thousand deaths incurred by the slaves, Castle Gothengromer was completed. Erected literally within the face of cliffs, Castle Gothengromer was an imposing sight. With the backing of the Cliffside in which it was built and the surrounding jungle on all sides of the castle, Gothengromer was a fortress built to withstand almost anything, even time as to this day it still remains an imposing structure with updated equipment.

Avarus declared himself, Count of Gothengromer, Patriarch of the Xyler family. A title that has been passed on through the generations, a title that which still carries respect in some parts of the galaxy.

Little else is known of the first Count of Gothengromer and even less is known of the Counts that succeeded Avarus. What is known is that Morkan Creon Xyler; the 11th Count of Gothengromer was the more sadistic and brutal of Counts to rule the family. Morkan however could not be considered a Count that was deprived of devotion towards protecting the family. Such was his devotion that it had turned into an obsession. Strongly feeling the need to protect not only the family but the family assets as well, Morkan had created a special throne room for himself that suited his needs.

It was rumoured that he had depleted nearly half of the Family’s credits to create his grand throne room. Nearly the size of a hall, it included everything from communications equipment to and armoury and even the means to create imaginative interrogations. A top-notch torture chamber if you will. The only thing that the throne room seemed to lack was decoration. Bared down to only the stones that made the wall, the only apparatuses that adorned the wall were hanging chains among other torture devices.

In a corner of the hall, the makings of a lab could be found in which the Count was able to conduct experiments of a vile nature. Again little else is known of the 11th Count. Only that his, was a legacy that could not be matched, even it seems by a Sith Lord gone mad.

Sith Lord Sharkelli Fangoru Xyler was a Count of Gothengromer though which one he was is unknown. Like Morkan Creon Xyler, Sharkelli was a sadistic man and can only be unique apart from Morkan in that he had lost his mind. While Morkan was a Count of cruel and cunning thought, Sharkelli was a man of no thought at all.

Rumours have abounded that Sharkelli was one of the earlier Counts, having ruled the family before Morkan was even a thought. This rumour would imply that Morkan had wanted to live up to the image of Sharkelli and would have seemed to take his sadistic ways a step farther.

Another rumour, states that Sharkelli ruled centuries after Morkan. This rumour would imply that it was Sharkelli who had tried to live up to the image of his predecessor and obviously failed. Obvious by the fact that Sharkelli’s sole reminder of his legacy is a shrine located within the northern part of Isu’pang Jungle near Castle Gothengromer. Sharkelli also has the distinction of wanting to protect his family and had placed a dark side curse upon the living Isu’pang jungle. Having already served the purpose of a natural line of defence, Isu’pang Jungle became a living nightmare, deterring all those who were not family from entering the grounds of Castle Gothengromer.

The rumours of Sharkelli’s time of existence are mundane, as it no longer matters in which time period of the family’s history the crazed Sith Lord had lived. The only significance of this information is that, a force adept in its history had indeed ruled the Xyler family.

Virtually nothing is known of the Xyler Dynasty after the 11th count, or if you may the demented Sith Lord Sharkelli. It seems as though the family virtually disappeared from existence and had thrived within the shadows of the universe. Much of the family history that can be gleaned is from the 26th and 27th Counts of Gothengromer. The two most recent Counts to have ruled the family and both, followers of the Dark Side of the Force who also have history within the Brotherhood of Dark Jedi, an organization that is led by the Grand Master Jac Cotelin. Both Counts also have resided within the clan Arcona which is now located in the Dajorra system within Brotherhood space.

The 26th Count of Gothengromer was none other then Arcturus Gadeskin Xyler. A Sith Battle Master within the ranks of Dark Jedi, Arcturus was a giant of a person who had blood of both human and an alien species running through his veins. Arcturus had not spent all his time within the Brotherhood within the halls of Clan Arcona. At one time he resided within the halls of Clan Scholae Palatinae. Where he had met his adopted son Ktulu Mizheray. Both had spent their journeyman years within the halls of Clan Scholae Palatinae in the house of Acclivis Draco.

Just as Arcturus finally adjusted to controlling the reigns of the Xyler Dynasty, destiny brought her foot down and tore apart his world. The Brotherhood had erupted into civil war and had split into two.

Enraged by his actions the Brotherhood had erupted into civil war. The Brotherhood had split in two, a small faction who had supported the Fleet Commander and those who were appalled by the actions of the Directorate as a whole.

Arcturus was a lone nerf in the midst of a herd stampede. In direction he could have followed his loyalty and stayed within Clan Scholae Palatinae. In the other, his friends that he had held closest to him as possible a Dark Jedi could. In the end his selfishness had got the better of him and he followed the group known as “The Seven” a small group of Dark Jedi who had wanted sovereignty for the Brotherhood. In his wake, a lowly Jedi Hunter, an orphan by the name of Ktulu Mizheray, followed Arcturus. Together they made their way to Clan Arconan space and had met with and old time friend and former Quaestor Mejas Doto.

It was during the Exodus that Arcturus had adopted Ktulu and taught him of the ways of the Dynasty. Arcturus had taught Ktulu how to hold his own within the battlefield that was known as the Universe. Together the two engrossed themselves in the growth of the family and the growth of their ability to control the force.

After over a year of celebrating Sovereignty from the EH Directorate, Arcturus and Ktulu found themselves in another battle, one that meant their very own survival. Within the Clans of Arcona, after taking a leadership position within a house of Arcona, Arcturus found himself at ends with the Consul of Clan Arcona, Vassan Rokir. What should have been a simple disagreement between comrades had erupted in a feudal war between families.

The feud had devastated both families. The Xyler’s had been decimated. Leaving only Arcturus and Ktulu as the lone survivors of the Family. During a relative peaceful time during the feud, the Consul and Patriarch of the Rokir Family, Vassan, targeted Arcturus for assassination.

Narrowly escaping the ordeal with his life, Arcturus left Brotherhood space and had contacted Ktulu informing him that he was now Count of Gothengromer, the 27th and latest in a line of counts that ruled over the Dynasty ensuring its survival through the ages.

Ktulu Mizheray Xyler, 27th Count of Gothengromer saw a predicament. He was the latest to rule over the Dynasty and had no family to lead. Although within the feud against the Rokirs, both families were wrought with devastation, the Rokirs had the upper hand. The lone member of a dying Dynasty, Ktulu faced the only three remaining members of the Rokir family. They were also the most powerful of the family as well. They were all adept in the ways of the force and the Patriarch was considered the weakest of the three as he only had the rank of Epics which considered him an Equate, rather then an Elder like the last remaining members of his family.

Considering his options Ktulu had arranged a meeting with the Rokir family and had called a truce, stating that the feud had been between both Vassan and Arcturus. Not the families as a whole. It was a ploy that had most likely saved the young Priests life.

After conducting the meeting, the 27th Count had gone into seclusion and had maintained an out of sight status. Faced with being the lone member of his family Ktulu bade his time and watched as his foes dwindled down so that only the Adept Halcyon remained before resurfacing in the halls of Arcona.

With a renewed sense of purpose, Ktulu has once more begun his mission of reviving the Xyler Dynasty, adopting the Galerian Quaestor Quejo Bandon into the family giving him the status of brother. Together they are working on building a strong family and watching the toes of their potential enemies, ever cautious that they do not start another feud until that they have gained the strength to survive.

The Xyler Dynasty has no direct bloodline, as members of the family tend to adopt. Since the days of Avarus, the Xyler family have preferred to adopt their heirs and choose the adopted sons and daughters to their own flesh and blood to rule over the family. This tradition has ensured that there is never a danger to the future of the family as the adopted brethren have the best interests of the family at heart. It is also a fail safe against bloodlines becoming jealous of each other and driving the Dynasty to a downfall through means of a feud amongst each other.

As there is no direct bloodline to be traced, the importance of passing on the family history through oral means was deemed of most importance. The ideology behind this trait being that the importance of family was impressed upon every member of the Xyler Dynasty. Thus it was deemed that the next Count was chosen on a basis of who had the families’ best interests and security in mind to rule the family.
